This place is so good that my brother and I hadn't been for 2 years and still talked about it like we went yesterday! I am so glad we we're able to take our friends and introduce them to this amazing Vegan Food!

Food tasted amazing! Atmosphere was very chill & relaxed vibe, eco friendly! You view menus from your phone via their website, so there's no waste creating menus! Server was friendly, explained options in detail when asked! Appetizers & dinners were delicious, & came out relatively quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, including drinks (Margaritas). I would most certainly recommend you to come here for yourself! They're also LGBTQ Friendly & this is a safe space!

KARO MY WAITRESS WAS GREAT. I took our recommendation on what to get and The Food was Delicious. I had garlic buffalo cauliflower, garlic greens, and mashed potatoes for dessert, sweet potato pie

I ordered takeout the meal was great, but my sweet potato fries did not come with any ketchup or sauce. Also, I was bringing my food to sit in the hospital with my husband and utensils to eat it would have been great, but when I asked for them at pickup I was told by the host “we don’t have utensils”.

Stepping into ION was a treat for the eyes. The atmosphere was spot-on, a space that made you feel instantly comfortable. The service was a definite highlight – attentive and friendly. While the food itself was perfectly acceptable, offering a decent range of plant-based options, it didn't quite reach the same heights as the ambiance and service. It was a solid meal. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with a great atmosphere and great service, making it a worthwhile visit even if the food is simply "okay."

Went first time for lunch, very nice atmosphere and food good too. Ordered sweet potatoes fries, southern plate with tofu which somehow I didn’t expect that way but it was ok in taste and burrito bowl looked very delicious. It’s worth trying and will go again probably.

We came here excited, it was my first time and my cousins come here a lot . We did a bunch of appetizers and two burgers for dinner . The fried tofu was excellent with the lemon and sesame . The nachos are delicious , come with black beans and fresh jalapeños that are actually spicy . The Buffalo cauliflower are perfectly tossed and dressed , all great portion sizes for the appetizers . We also tried the soup special which was a cilantro stew and It was excellent . The beet mushroom chickpea burger was awesome . The chickpea Parmesan was our least favorite , the buns have alot of oregano on them for both burgers . The sweet potatoes fries are huge and very creative ! We had the house cab and farmhouse white and we were very happy . Our server had a great attitude , although it took them a minute to get to us (we did come in hungry). The food came out pretty fast once ordered . Def recommend and will be back .

Great staff, kind and cutest people ever. Very vibey atmosphere cute for any date night, but food not the BEST i’ve ever had. Enjoyed the garlic parmesan cauliflower bites, great amount of crisp but low on the flavor profile. Wish it was paired with a different sauce. Nachos were good, we got them without the veggie protein, also felt like the flavor was missing. My bf got the chickpea parmesan sandwich and he liked it but wouldnt get it again- the sweet potato fries were really crisp but i felt again the flavor wasnt there. Did not like the mac and cheese at all, felt like there was no cheese. Dont know if id return but def a cute spot :)

Overall, the food is very good. The Buffalo cauliflower appetizer was the best item that we had today with the peanut butter and chocolate dessert being second. The entrees were tasty, but probably needed a little more on the plate in terms of flavor variety. The biggest issue for us today was the wait on the food. It took almost 2 hours for us to complete our meal, which is not reasonable for a Tuesday dinner for 2 people. I would recommend this restaurant for vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores… but just know that it may take a while to get your food. Also, most people wore their jackets in the restaurant given how cold it was.

I have been coming to ION for the last 4-5 years. I absolutely love the food and the atmosphere. It’s hard to get this great of vegan/vegetarian food. I will say, the last 3 times I’ve gone (within the last 6 months) their service has changed. I have waited between 1-2 hours for food on every visit. The first time this happened we had to say something after waiting an hour and a half. Then the waiter charged us the incorrect amount. They were very apologetic and we fixed the mistake pretty quickly. Today, the server straight up just told us they forgot our orders and had to put it in again. The staff have been very kind and apologetic. The food has been great. Just seems like something is off with consistent service, maybe it has to do with new staff. I understand there has been a change in management/staff (same owners) and this has been very evident by returning costumers. I hope they are able to work through the growing pains!

I definitely have a soft spot for vegan places, and this one initially captured my attention with its imaginative and visibly eco-friendly ambiance. It truly is a charming place to enjoy a meal. Yet, I soon discovered that my initial enthusiasm would not last. The staff were candid about the unavailability of some dishes, and while the remaining menu items appeared promising at first, the reality was less than stellar. The dishes we got lacked the dynamic flair and creativity I had hoped for, especially considering the accolades this restaurant has received. Instead, the menu relied too much on mundane options like deep-fried tofu and beans that seemed canned, not meeting the expectations of a health-conscious, contemporary, vegan, and tasty meal. The meal was actually a letdown; the cornbread was unpleasantly soggy. The southern tofu had its flavor overpowered by an excess of deep-frying, accompanied by a sauce that also lacked creativity, both failing to highlight the tofu's natural taste. The main dish merely seemed like a reiteration of the appetizer, not managing to stir or delight the taste buds in any way. In conclusion, even with its pleasant atmosphere, the dining experience was lackluster, falling short of the innovative and fulfilling vegan culinary journey I had anticipated.

I've been coming here for 3 DECADES and am so sad to see what this restaurant has become. When it was over at the mall they gave you free warm bread with carrot dip– during the height of pandemic when everyone was doing take out, they wouldn't even give us UTENSILS to eat our food in the car with. On my birthday last year the cooks apparently went on vacation together and because of this there were literally three items on the menu, not even entres– I had to get nachos on my birthday. Been back a few times since then, and once they screwed up my order, our food took FOREVER, and the waiter was literally RUNNING around like a chicken with his was cut off (sorry I know we're vegans here), we overheard two other tables making verbal complaints about how long it was taking. Last night was really the final straw for me. Our food took almost TWO HOURS, everyone around us was getting their food, even people who came in after us, which is crazy and it was only about half full in terms of capacity. I ordered the cesar salad, my dad ordered the seitan. He asked to replace the brussel sprouts with extra mashed potatoes because he has to watch his vitamin K. They charged $3 extra for the replacement. They apparently had a late tofu delivery, and then ran out of mashed potatoes and had to make more (this was at 6:30pm), which is why it took almost 2 hours to get our food. Just excuse after excuse, zero accountability. They didn't comp us anything, not even THE $3 FOR THE REPLACED MASHED POTATOES. Absolute train wreck in terms of kitchen management and customer service. Wow I'm so sad to write this because it's been such a staple for so long, but I will not be returning anymore.

A cute place for an inclusive environment. Fun plants and festive LGBTQ decor. The corn bread wasn't cooked through, liquid in the middle, unsanitary. Certain items are orderable on certain days and times only while printed on the same menu. The fresh juice was pretty good. I wouldn't go a 2nd time but was cute to see what they were trying to do.

First time here for me but my fiance and daughter been here a few times and raved about it. 3 salads, one app and a hot tea $110 w tip. My opinion is very expensive for what you get. That being said went to a vegan restaurant in Venice CA and same was about $230. I honestly don't know how one can eat out w hugh prices. I had Caesar salad and I did not enjoy. The lettuce was not crunchy like I enjoy but soggy. Service was GREAT which is why it isn't 1 star

The waitress was very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The vibe and atmosphere was cool but the food was not so good. Had the appetizer of Tempura Calliflower. Was ok but salty. My meal was average. Had the Southern Plate. Cornbread was really good. Beans bland. Tofu was nicely cooked but a bit salty. Friend had the Korean tofu Special. The Tofu was marinated in a teriyaki sauce that was very salty. So salty she didn’t eat it. Rice was soft and bland. Pickled vegetables were good. Waitress took the Tofu meal off the bill. Stomach pains after we left. We won’t be heading back there.
