Stopped by for a drink after having dinner in West Hartford, and I’m so glad I did. I had the BEST Espresso Martini in all of New England — no exaggeration. I usually only have one cocktail, but this one was so good I had to order a second. Ben, the bartender, really knows how to craft a perfect drink. The wine selection also impressed my friend — great variety and thoughtfully curated. I’ll definitely be coming back for dinner next time. Highly recommend!
We had a delicious dinner tonight. The filet mignon and t bone steak were excellent, cooked to perfection and served with flavorful homemade steak sauces (horseradish cream, Gorgonzola cream, and brown cognac). The French onion soup and lobster bisque were delicious as well. Liana our server was friendly, attentive and very accommodating.
Had a large party 18ppl birthday dinner celebration 🍾 on 9th of January 2026. This was our first time at this establishment and it lived up to and surpassed all the positive reviews. Enzo was very communicative during my initial inquiry of this restaurant. He was very responsive and very attentive prior to us arriving. Upon arriving we were greeted by the most pleasant staff and we had extra ppl join us and they easily accommodated us without aby fast. Service was quick and accurate. Food was amazing and lived up to a finer dining experience. Highlights were the grilled octopus, the Rib eye steak, tomahawk steak, calamari. Ardi was an excellent waitress lead and made us feel very special. There was not any area i could suggest improvement bc it was worth the money spent. Please visit this fine restaurant and bask in their tranquil atmosphere. We will definitely be returning. I can rave forever about having my 50th birthday here. To all the staff that prepared our meals thank you and I hope you enjoyed my cake🥰
From start to finish, our meal was spectacular. Best piece of steak I've ever had. Affogato and tiramisu were so rich and flavorful. Our server Ardita was attentive and a delight to have. An underrated establishment that deserves all the business.
This place is absolutely outstanding! The staff here was extremely kind and caring, The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, my waitress Liana was superb, she took care of my every need with speed and a smile! 10/10 I’ll be back here again, best steakhouse I’ve ever been to!
Alisha went above and beyond with her customer service- so kind, professional, and attentive. She made us feel truly welcomed. On top of that, the food was incredible! Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. An overall fantastic experience.
My husband and I absolutely loved this place . It was our 1st time there. It was worth every penny and worth the drive from Waterbury. Atmosphere was and service was awesome . The owner stopped by our table so nice. The food was to die for . So fresh and absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back. The down fall is no parking lot, street parking.
This place beats J. Gilberts, Capital Grille and any of the local steakhouses I have ever been. Their Tomahawk for 2 deal gets you a huge cut of ribeye with 2 sides, 2 salads, and 2 desserts! Best deal around. Enzo, the owner takes pride in the establishment and will make sure your experience is top notch.
A new fan favorite for us! Delicious steaks, salads and sides paired with a nice wine list offering. Service is always attentive but not intrusive. Owner makes it a point to ask how the meals were. Desserts are also very good!
OMG, this was a gem of a find! I make it a habit of seeking out fine steakhouses whenever I travel. I have dined at some of the best in the country Abe & Louie's in Boston, Peter Luger's in New York, Dickie Brennan's in New Orleans and Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa to name just a few. This place is right up there with the best, in my opinion. Whille they are not as fancy as other places, they offer a nicely decorated, romantic dining space. The music is played at a comfortable level so you can have conversations while you dine without having to scream to be heard, always a plus. I have a wheelchair, and the entry and dining area where easily passed through and the staff was very helfpul in ensuring I was seated in a spot comfortable for my spouse and me. The staff was also very quick to check on us and follow up through out our visit, offering advice on our meal options. The food here is amazing! We started with soups. I had the French Onion Soup, which I have to say was one of the best I have ever had! Also, it was served nice and hot, showing the staff works well with the kitchen team getting the food to the table as soon as it is ready. Not allowing it to set idle and cool off. My wife had the Lobster Bisque, which was also served at the right temp. She said it was one of the best she had ever had. I don't eat Lobster Bisque, so I'll take her word for it. Considering she grew up on the coast of Maine, I know she knows what she is talking about! Our entrees - my wife got the Prime 10oz Filet with baked potato and onion rings. I got the Dry Aged 20oz Bone-In Ribeye with baked potate and Grilled Diablo Shrimp. The steaks were perfectly cooked to our requested temp and very flavorful! Onion Rings were perfect - thin slices, lightly battered and flavorful. The shrimp were probably the biggest suprise of the night. These were so good! Just a hint of spice, nicely grilled - not rubbery, and a good size. Perfect compliment to a fine dry aged steak! The only thing that wasn't absolutely amazing was the baked potato. They were a good size, but a bit undercooked for my taste. I like them crispy on the outside and creamy soft on the inside. These were a bit firm for my taste. They were not bad, and I'm sure most people would say they were great, but I like mine cooked a bit more. Portions were nice too. We were far too full to get dessert, which was a loss from the looks of what I saw going to other tables! If you are looking for a nice, comforatabe, romantice fine steakhouse with great food offerings and reasonably priced, you MUST check out T-Bone Prime Steakhouse! It is now in my very hard to get on Top Ten List of Steakhouses I have been to in the USA!
Fron the owner to every single person that works there. Impeccable. We have been there 3 times in 2 months and look forward to a lengthy relationship. You can feel the family care and attention to detail . You can tell they all want to be serving you the best steaks you can tell the owner wants to be the best of the best, prime cuts. Beautiful staff , it's perfect.
Okay, so the chef definitely made a mistake. We were there for lunch, two of us ordered a California Burger, and in hindsight, I realized that's not what we got. We got T-Bone Prime burgers instead 🤣. But it's okay. They made up for it. It was my FIL's birthday, and they gave him a dinner size steak for lunch menu price. Also, the food was great. The onion rings were perfect, sweet potato fries delectable, and the burger (even if it was the wrong one) was very tasty. But no demerits whatsoever for Jeremy. He was our server *and* bartender, and he was just great. Made us some tremendous cocktails, and served us with a smile, knowledge of the menu, and a good sense of humor! Good guy doing good work in a tough industry. So yes, technically two of us got the "wrong burger," but it's hard to be mad when the replacement burger had cheddar and bacon all over it 😁. And again, it's not Jeremy's fault. A+ service from him. Nice steakhouse, we'll definitely come back!
Absolutely delicious! Although I ordered out because I was dressed extremely comfortably due to feeling ill, the hostess was very friendly and the kitchen staff made the most delicious lobster Mac and cheese! The toasted buttered bread was also fresh and delicious!!! The food was also not heavy in the sense that it was very light and refreshing as well. We will definitely be back to eat in at T-Bone Steakhouse! We really appreciate businesses that make delicious food for all regardless of appearance or social status. That is what brings community and its people together.
Had a wonderful meal last night with a good friend. Had the tomahawk steak for two which was in the top 3 steaks I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, sliced and some pieces plated for us. Had the mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts as sides which were also excellent. For appetizers Had the grilled octopus which was excellent and the burratta and prosciutto salad. On the salad would just suggest garlic toast points instead of saltines. Service by our waitress from Ecuador was superb. Perfect food and service. Would recommend a little more atmosphere maybe some plants a piano and or decor etc. Didn't get to try the raw bar options this time but hope to on the next visit.
Overall an excellent experience! Great steakhouse in rural Connecticut with very good quality beef (loved my bone in ribeye). Nice wine selection too and service was good too. Look forward to coming back.
If there was a way to give more than 5 stars, I would. We had a last minute reservation for 12 people which they accommodated beautifully. We ordered a range of dry aged and regular steaks and everything was perfect. The porterhouse was particularly special. It came out sizzling and cooked to perfection. The house made sauces were perfect pairings. I particularly enjoyed the beat salad and mashed potatoes. However, the best part was the lovely staff that made us feel like we were at home. The atmosphere was so welcoming despite us bringing toddlers and babies.
We came here with an incredibly large group (20 in total). Nino, was our server and he was incredibly attentive to every one of our needs. I am sure some of our diners had very specific requests and he listened with patience. The food came out hot and was very good. I got the prime rib, in which they only serve on Fridays and Saturdays and my significant other got the chicken parm. We would recommend and will certainly come back to try other menu items.
First time going there several weeks ago and my meal was so good and my dessert n drinks as well . I will definitely will be going back with my family . Our waiter my son knows him and he did his job well . I love the fact how the owner does come at the tables and ask if everything is okay ?
T-Bone Prime is my favorite restaurant; ever. It feels like a crime to gatekeep this place. It’s one of those rare places where you instantly feel like family bc of the service and the food tastes like something from your grandmas kitchen - if your grandma was a top chef. The staff notices the little things right away—before you even ask—and makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. The food? PHENOMENAL. I talked about the plain green beans for two weeks (yes, really). With so many places slipping on quality, this spot reminds you what it feels like to want to spend your money— literally it’s worth every cent… because the service, attention to detail, and care they put into everything is just that good.
Hands down, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. I stumbled upon this place on a Tuesday evening and discovered it was Tomahawk Tuesday, a special that includes a tomahawk steak for two, salad, two sides, and dessert, all for just $90. A very fair deal. The steak was outrageously good, rich, buttery, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It came with creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse cake and coconut truffle ice cream, both outstanding. I recently dined at David Burke Prime at Foxwoods and paid twice the price for a much more underwhelming steak. I’m so grateful to have such high-quality dining right here in Middletown.
Edit: went back with friends this Tuesday, everything was amazing, and actually got a picture of the steak. Will be back We came in last night for the Tomahawk Tuesday special and everything was absolutely amazing. First of all, two salads, a 40 oz tomahawk steak, two sides and two desserts for $90 is an amazing deal! Also, the side and dessert options were varied and fantastic. The menu was large enough to ensure everyone had options, but not overwhelming at all! Our server/bartender Bree was super sweet, helpful, honest, and amazing, and Enzo the owner was a delight to talk to and had great wine knowledge to help us pick out a great bottle to go with our steak. Everything we tasted was absolutely fabulous. Simple and perfected. Change absolutely nothing. Our only regret was not taking any pictures!! We will absolutely be back.
Overall well-made food, but in the interest of seeing them succeed - owners, please pay attention to the details that leave negative impressions. Examples: 1) $26 Carpaccio app. Beef and salad elements were fine, but then some store bought saltines are placed on top — they had the “Keebler” brand lol. You want your food eaten on a saltine?! You have good bread there for the bread basket. Make a few thin slices to toast with some oil and seasoning. 2) rib eye steak was pleasant. I ordered truffle fries as side. What came was surely frozen Sysco or Restaurant Depot fries. With a $65 steak, I’d have enjoyed house-made fries. They’re cheap and not hard to make. You won’t compete long with nearby J Gilbert’s or Carbone’s Prime like that. Diners like me who would spend $150pp for a steakhouse experience don’t want saltines and frozen fries. If you want to go that way, then be a casual bistro with lower prices. Good luck!
I have eaten a lot of steaks and have never sent one back at a restaurant. At T-Bone in Middletown I sent back two, so it was that kind of night. After waiting about 15 minutes (with a reservation) to be seated, the kitchen had some mis-steaks with our food. That said, our waitress Ardita was outstanding. She was attentive, kept checking in on us, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. What could have been a frustrating night ended up being a good one because of her. The servers were all working incredibly hard, and Ardita’s service made all the difference. Will we return? We are undecided. But if we do, the desserts and the service will be what draws us back. The steak was pretty good too, eventually.
Bread and butter was the highlight here. The filet and boneless ribeye were both mediocre at best. Nowhere near worth the money. Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were bland. For the price they charge there are way better steakhouses around. Tiramisu is also some of the worst ive had. I wanted to love this place cuz its close by but I dont think I’ll be back.
We went on a Saturday at 5 and sat at the bar. We ordered a drink from happy hour, and then out in some food. Food took over an hour and a half to come out and took a very long time to get the bartender to order another drink. This place is super understaffed and can't handle a half full restaurant. Unfortunately I don't think we will be coming back, the food was fine but the service left a lot to be desired. If it took that long for some drinks and small bites, I can't imagine how long dinner would take. Also when we got the check, nothing was priced as happy hour pricing; we just paid and left instead of trying to find someone again to deal with it.
**long review warning** I am sad to write a negative review, but I felt there was no other way to express my disappointment. Today, we dined at 3:30pm for a special Valentine's Day dinner, with our little one, and thought going early would allow us to enjoy some dessert afterwards... We were completely wrong! I even tried calling T-Bone three times tonight (from 9:10pm-9:18pm) to express my sadness, but on Valentine's Day I am sure it is still busy, so no-one picked up. So, writing a review is the only way. The atmosphere of this place seems pretty nice, and I think it would be a good for a group day out, especially the bar area because you will be served... but that seemed like the only option to be served here... and the start of our displeasure for my wife and I. Our server Kendra welcomed us and asked us what she could get us and we asked for a minute. Kendra came back to us and my wife, and I figured we should order both our appetizer and main course at the same time to ensure we would get our food, since there was a good amount of people celebrating Valentine's Day, tonight. It was 3:40pm when we placed our full order - Beef egg rolls, NY strip steak w/ sides and Salmon w everything plus mashed potatoes added. Bread is initially at our table, but we also asked for bread about 3 times within a 15 mins span and started to grow annoyed. We finally receive bread around 4:05-4:10pm but this was a strike. We finally get our appetizer (egg rolls) around 4:25pm although we initially assumed we would get everything together, but we were happy to have the app first! Time is now around 4:45pm and, of course, our app is completed and we are pretty hungry especially when seeing others getting their food around us. We ask our Kendra when our food may come out and she informed us it should be ready soon. The time fast forwards to 5:05pm-5:10pm and Kendra comes back to our table and states the food should be out in 2 mins, but my wife and I figured it was time for us to head out. This experience left a bad taste in our mouth and Kendra informed us that our app and soda would be comp’d due to this wait, (which we appreciated) but being hungry took over so we headed out. Before leaving we made sure to still leave a gracious tip as we were unsure what occurred in the kitchen, but our food never came out, starting from 3:40pm to a bit past 5pm. We felt this was unacceptable. Also, the time is 9:38pm right now and I still called the restaurant twice before posting this review to chat with someone but there was no pick up.. So I am sure they are now slammed but I would not have time to call tomorrow, so here goes the review... We assumed this experience was a 6 or 7pm thing but at 3:30pm - we should have been eating by 4:45pm, at least...
Extremely disappointed. For a restaurant that claims steak is their specialty, you would never know it based on the ribeye and filet mignon we were served. Both were ordered medium and missed the mark completely — underwhelming in flavor and poorly executed. The sides didn’t redeem the experience. The mashed potatoes had the consistency of cement, and the mac and cheese was bland and completely unseasoned. The “traditional” tiramisu was anything but traditional — drowned in chocolate and white chocolate syrup and topped with whipped cream, making it overwhelmingly sweet and nothing like an authentic tiramisu. Ironically, the bread and butter were the highlight of the meal. For the price you’re paying, you can absolutely get better quality food elsewhere. Very disappointing experience overall, and unfortunately not somewhere we’ll be returning.
I am writing in response to Enzo's incredibly rude reply to my wife's honest negative review of our dining experience Sunday evening. I am not going to waste time on you arguing point by point. But, I do want to call out the fact that you, the owner of the establishment, called us liars! That is unbelievably unprofessional and with an attitude like that you and your "high-end" steak house will not last. I read all of your reviews and they are far from 5-star...
We went with high hopes for a special occasion celebration dinner. We'll never go back. The atmosphere/decor was very barren, no personal touches. There was nothing on the table while waiting for the meal to start. What nicer restaurant doesn't have bread, rolls, something?? The service was ridiculously slow. It was not a busy night, we were one of only three tables occupied. The jumbo shrimp were medium at best. Our other appetizer was completely forgotten about. After another 20 minutes of nothing, we had to tell the waiter. The center cut filet mignon was absolutely not center cut. It was full of tendons and grisly. I could only eat a few bites around the edges, had to spit some in a napkin and left 80% on my plate. I told the waiter as soon as he brought it out. It was very apparent it was a sub-par filet. He did offer to tell the cook, but after waiting an HOUR for our food to come out in the first place, I didn't feel it was a fair option to wait again while the rest of the party had their dinners. Everything else from the mashed potatoes (tasted like a box of spuds) to the grilled asparagus (every stalk was as thick as a sharpie marker) was very salty. We had planned on having dessert (it was a birthday celebration), but after the food and very slow service, it was a no brainer to forget that plan. The bill comes, not only were we charged full price for the inedible filet mignon, we discovered that we were charged for refills on sodas. What nicer restaurant charges for refills on soft drinks?? For reference, we eat out quite a bit. We enjoy trying new local places and traveling to further favorites. I have NEVER felt the need to leave a review before. I hope that tells you something. The only reason I left 2 stars instead of 1 was because it was slightly better than McDonald's....just slightly
First time dining - extremely disappointed! Our reservation was 6:30 on a Saturday night - restaurant was packed. We had reservations and still had to wait 20 mins before our table was set - in the mean time - others came in and were seated immediately. We place our order - one of our guests asked for Filet Mignon … server comes back at 7 pm to advise us that they ran out of Filet … how does this happen at 7 pm on a Saturday night? We ordered Porter House for 2 - and again server had to confirm if they still had Porterhouse. How does that happen at 7 pm on a Saturday night? Needless to say - we had our Porter House for 2 - that was not cooked medium - and was very fatty and loaded with salt. The reservations were made via Open Table - selected a “special event” - which was a birthday - never even acknowledged the celebration. The topper was when our server asked if we would like coffee - I asked for a cappuccino- our server said - “ I have to confirm if the coffee machine is still on”! At 8:45 pm on a Saturday night- you need to confirm if your cappuccino/espresso machine is on??? Thank goodness the coffee machine was still on - the cappuccino was very good along with the chocolate mousse cake.
