Opinions de Belè Milano
This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Milan. I’ve lived here for 4 years and my I’ve never been this amazed by a restaurant. The menu, the service, the ambience, the food, THE FOOD!!!! It’s simply extraordinary. I would put this at the top of anyone’s list for a place to try and go to. I ordered the bone marrow, it was exquisite. I wanted to take the bone home for my dog and I received it in the cutest packaging. A small detail but one that is really unique and unforgettable. The truffles are undeniably delicious. Their dessert, the beetroot cake with amaretti, truffle and champignon mushrooms, so unique, so fascinating, magnificent.
We ordered off the à la carte menu and loved every course. Refined cooking with punchy flavours throughout — the spaghettoni with summer tomatoes was bursting with freshness, and the pork ribs (although not a classic Milanese flavour) were beautifully cooked and delicious. Service was attentive and warm, and the staff happily moved us inside once the sun went down. A wonderful experience.
This place exceeded all expectations. The wine list was refreshingly different — no predictable names, just unique, carefully chosen bottles that really delivered. The food was absolutely delicious. I took a bit of a risk with the corn soup, and it turned out to be incredible. Staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and professional throughout. A spot I’d gladly return to and recommend without hesitation.
Very good surprise! The waiters are professional and friendly. The combination of ingredients is very interesting (of course, not all of them may suit our taste) but we were happy to discover and enjoy them. Every dish makes people want to try it. The quantity is just right. Highly recommended, I would like to come back for the other seasons menu.
Very good! It’s hidden away on a small street in a very touristy area. It’s quiet there and the food was very good and unique. I had the risotto which was actually white filling for a first course meal. It was a little sour but I think that was intensional. I had the fish with watermelon for my main and that was really interesting and a perfect combination with the risotto. The fish portion wasn’t very big bit with the cost / experience. Lastly the apricot dessert was also delicious. The staff was professional and kind.
Food was delicious, truly a delight for the tastebuds. Kudos to the chef(s). Portion size was enough. Pick a course on each page, and you’ll surely be satisfied. Staff was excellent, professional, friendly, and courteous. They were all on top of things, great teamwork and communication. The place looks great, very modern yet comforting. Atmosphere was perfect for this dining experience. No need for searching for other restaurants in Milan, this is the one.
On our second day in Milan, we decided to try this high ranking restaurant at Navigli (canal). Main reason was because of the great reviews we read and some mouthwatering seafood dish photos shared by reviewers. Apparently all the reasons why we took such a long uber ride to get there for weren't in season anymore. Since we both don't eat beef, there's not much options left to offer on the menu. Yet the limited choices turned out to be surprisingly delish! 😍❤️ Here's what we ordered from Belé ❤️ Entree ~ Fried anchovies with gremolada, lemon and saffron gel (my fav) 😋😋😋👍👍👍 First course ~ -Tagliolini walnut sauce escargot ginger😋😋👍 -Spaghettoni "antico pastificio cavalieri fresh tomato sauce and Basil😋😋😋👍 Second course ~ -Lamb ribs borage cream dandelion sage butter 😋😋😋👍👍👍 -Raw Amber jack with sichuan pepper agretti watercress (not a big fan of raw fish but the marinated Amber jack was acceptable for me) 😋😋👍 After a nice fulfilling late lunch, we strolled around Navigli people watching. It was a pleasant weekend indeed!
Wonderful food and amazing service. We stopped by for dinner after attempting to have dinner there the night before (it was closed by then!) and it was definitely worth it. The menu was more interesting than the typical Milanese restaurants we'd been to on our trip and we enjoyed every dish. Each dish had varied flavors and intriguing elements that kept things interesting.
My top dishes were the calf’s tongue and spaghettoni. I keep cutting smaller and smaller as I eat because I want to savour it more and the was just simply flavourful and al dante. Some dishes were okay although creatively put together but it was ill conceived. Mussels with crunchy bits was a little bland, scallops were slight over cooked, too much greek yogurt honey on already sweet pulled lamb shank, the sweet corn strawberry cake was really dry. The candied peas idea was adventurous and the dessert didnt let down. All in all we still had an enjoyable meal in a very relax atmosphere with audible music in the background. Service was very attentive and the restroom smells really nice with the diffuser they use.
In love with Milano- And the surrounding of the Gran Navigli, gives the perfect 'ambiente italiano'😎 @Belé Navigli, serves elegant with modern cuisine and new italian dishes. The young service staff is trained and know how to serve a table with attention. The Menu design is really original, but keeps a connection to italian plates. One recommendation:Take the wine, which I have posted ❤ amazing the recommendation of the staff: This is real prosecco taste. The plates are nice inventions with a cute design. Enjoy a evening in this hidden corner nearly at the End I recommend you to start with apertivo italiano in front of the restaurant, then dinner at Belè and to close with great cocktails in the bar next door (Negroni, for traditonals, and ask the waiter for new fashion cocktails) A great area to breath Milano and fall il love. Enjoy!
I saw another review with the opinion on the matcha-seaweed dessert, it's funny that I have opposite idea. I thought it was an interesting dish, and would recommend experimenting a little when visiting - I personally ordered the ricotta cake, which upon tasting my companion's dish (aforementioned), mine felt... boring 😆 both were good, but the matcha-seaweed more interesting. I don't know if I'm ready for "candied white asparagus" though (the other dessert option). the other dishes I had were also good, but portions are for birds. beef tongue done well; the pasta was nice, though the sauce was better than the pasta... also as a secondi, it's quite small. this is NOT a hearty meal, and if you have a bit appetite, may I suggest having an apertivo before this 😅
Dinner (except the dessert) was wonderful and service was quite attentive. We weren’t too hungry, so they kindly split everything in half for us. The presentation was lovely, and the drinks were very nice. The dessert was an insult to my mouth. There was too much going on for it to combine nicely. I think calling it a dessert is an insult. The seaweed was extremely fried and salted and felt like a knife going down my throat. The bitterness of the jelly and texture of the tapioca, combined with the matcha jelly made for a very discordant taste. If it didn’t exist, the meal would have been phenomenal.
Was really excited to try this place on the Michelin guide, but sadly, the non-Italian dishes such as the onion appetizer, pork belly, crudo, and banana cake dessert all fell flat. The flavors and textures were off on the crudo: with the ginger overpowering the dish and the sauce being warm - for a crudo! The pork was extremely tough and did not melt in the mouth, and the banana bread was super dry, biscotti like. Pasta, risotto, bread, and wine were excellent tho. I’d say this is a skip and avoid and not worth the price.
We were hoping for a better meal here but the flavors and preparation just didn’t work. Sorry. Lovely room and pleasant service. The scallops were a bit overcooked. The spaghettoni was delicious and well prepared. The rest of our dishes were rather strange and the flavor combinations didn’t work.
I wanted to love Bele so much based on the reviews and the pictures I had seen, but I was utterly disappointed. I’ll start with a positive, the atmosphere, and the service, and the wait staff were incredible. They were very polite, welcoming, and very professional. But I was very disappointed in the food. we tried the seven course tasting menu, it was one disappointing dish after another. Anything that was fried tasted like it was fried and oil that was used 100 times. The smoked salmon tasted like cheap, old salmon from the supermarket. The other fish that was part of the tasting menu was also very fishy, I had a bite and couldn’t finish the rest. The risotto and pasta were drowned and saturated in so much butter and cream, the organic taste of the dish was completely obscured. Overall, the quality of the material that was used in every plate was suboptimal and disappointing for a restaurant at this scale. Again, I want to emphasize that the service and atmosphere was amazing, the wine pairing was very good, and so the only thing that was a constant disappointment was a quality of the food. They need a new chef.
