Great experience at Flute Champagne Bar. A location with rich history, my girlfriend and I were educated and entertained with all the knowledge and stories of our server. Service was excellent and the drinks were even better! I will recommend Flute to anyone who is ready to have a great night

Dimly lit, sexy but classy vibe. Most tables have loveseats that form nice nooks for more privacy. Perfect spot for a date or catching up with a friend or two. I asked them to make the pomegranate margarita cocktail spicy and it was absolutely perfect. 😋

The bartender was so sweet. They had a huge party taking up most of the space, and they cleared a way to the bar for me. The atmosphere is lovely. It was a bit loud from the party gathering, but I will definitely come back.

Great little evening nightcap hideaway. Love the atmosphere and the cheese plate. The bar menu was obviously catering to its champagne niche, so a bit thin for those that aren't as into the bubbly, but we both found very tasty drinks. Love it!

Love! This! Speakeasy! Jazz night is our favorite but every day is a good day at the Flûte and there always seems to be something going on :) The preservation and history and the romance of the space is never lost on us. Top hang out for date night and top hang out for pre or post theatre. Also… best glass of rose in the city!

It has such a classic feel of the jazzy Era of our times with well dressed individuals and real live singers and musicians who add to the vibe. It makes for a marvelous dating area as well. It has all you can ask for with fine seating, dim lighting and an attentive staff. Loved it greatly.

One of the coolest lounges I've ever visited. Super chill vibes with low red lighting and plush couches. The menu was nice, food was great, and prices very reasonable, and the staff were all chill too!!

We had a very Happy New Year celebration at Flûte to close out 2022! Great space that offers a bit of privacy so you feel like it is your own or you can opt to get up and dance. Either way you can't go wrong with a champagne celebration.

Went to Flute last night for boyfriend's 43rd birthday. The place is super romantic and provides a perfect intimate setting. Seats and booths are burgundy velvet. Music was a variety of neosoul and light pop played at conversation level. Bartender was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and champagnes and made great suggestions. Since we were celebrating a birthday, at midnight they played a birthday song and brought out champagne and strawberries for my BF which totally made his night. I will definitely be back to spend more intimate evenings.

Shek and Toni provided me some of the most amazing services I've ever received at a bar in any part of the US. Not only did I feel like I was taken care of, I felt like they went above and beyond for the patrons visiting as well. They are really customer service oriented. Greg is a terrific manager and should be very proud of the quality of service provided. I look forward to visiting again soon.

Cool, tucked away spot in Midtown. It was super quiet when we were there, but I liked not having to talk loudly. Lots of little nooks and areas that feel cozy. Worthwhile spot! And apparently they have live jazz some nights.

There is nowhere else in NYC like this place! So much history, gorgeous red velvet everywhere, mood lighting, great service, AND live music! A true hidden gem in the heart of NYC. My friends are all repeat customers too (which says a lot considering how many choices there are). Unique, special, cozy, private, and one-of-a-kind in every way.

Flute is a little hard to find because it is a floor down from the street. Just take a short flight of stairs from the sidewalk, and you’ll be taken away from the bustle of Midtown Manhattan into an intimate drinking den. It is very romantic (really good date sport!) and their champagne/ wine selection is pretty good. Ah, they also have beer and cute cocktails Tuesday is Champagne Happy Hour day – perfect girls night out!! Definitely my favorite wine spot in midtown

We visited Flute as part of a prohibition tour whilst in NYC. This is 1 of only 4 original speakeasy bars which are still going today in Manhattan and they've kept the theme and the feel of the place brilliantly to reflect the prohibition era. When you walk through the canopy at street level and down the stairs, it becomes very dark with fascinating decor and red lights providing a subtle glow so you can see where you're walking. This bar has a theme of champagne based cocktails, but they're very nice and for the fact they're champagne based too, they're not priced unreasonably. The bar staff are attentive and friendly. There are lots of hidden seating areas throughout the venue with curtains which could be closed for privacy (not sure if they're allowed to be closed though). Although we were in here on a not very busy Tuesday late afternoon, we were told that it gets very busy in the evenings and opens until 4am at weekends. Definitely worth a visit whilst in New York, it's literally across the street from the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Broadway so if you're in the area then pop in for pre-show drinks.

Really cozy atmosphere to celebrate adults party as birthday party. It's the kind of place where you can talk with your guests under the light music in the background with a glass of wine or champagne. The management and the barmen are really helpful and you can bring kosher catering too. Second time I celebrated a party at Flûte bar!

This is a cute little hidden gem with its prohibition era vibe. Everything feels dark and secretive here since you can sit in these booths surrounded by heavy curtains. It’s a great place to come if you want talk and catch up. I heard it gets livelier after 10/11. I’m not sure about the crowd but I think if you bring your own crew you’ll have a great time.

I
Ivy

This place is very, very , very small. Great for wanting to get away from a large crowd and connect with a small crowd. The place has small private rooms you can enjoy drinks and get cozy in. The waitress may forget you're in the room ha! but in all, it's a great private place. Everything about this place was seductive but with a cheers flare.

Exceptional and elegant! In your travels of Manhattan, you may stroll past or not even be aware of Flute Champagne Bar, a sophisticated, if dated, lounge tucked down a steep flight of narrow stairs that will take you back to the 1920's, 1930's, with curtained booths, tables, and a bar, featuring a selection of champagnes, by the glass or bottle, and an accompanying array of food items to enjoy them with. Dimly lit, with friendly, welcoming staff, Flute features VERY late hours (open until 4am on weekends!!!) and extremely reasonable prices for what they offer. Reservations are not required, although, mine was graciously accepted to ensure a specific seating. Visit, raise a glass of bubbly, and toast your own good fortune.

I had a group mixology class and the bartender was very knowledgeable and ensure we had a good time. The instructions were very clear and drinks were made to perfection!

I recently planned a end of year celebration for my job at this venue. The event was a great success and I owe a lot of that to Greg who helped me plan it from start to finish. Everything was great!!! We got the premium open bar package and all guest were very satisfied. The food was amazing and the service was amazing. The bartenders were very friendly and had great memory because they began to make a lot of my guest drinks before they even asked for another one. The music selections were also great! Everything was very professional from this venue and I look forward to holding more events here in the future. If you are looking for a really cool place to hold events, I highly recommend this venue.

I have walked by this place a thousand times and never gone in, and never heard anyone talk about it. What a treasure. An intimate, romantic subterranean "speakeasy" style cocktail bar with a strong focus on Champagne and sparkling wine. Be sure and give your eyes a chance to adjust because it is quite dark in there, and be aware that the tables can be reserved ahead of time to avoid any drama. I particularly favor Table #18, a soft velvet lined nook with heavy drapes to close off the rest of the bar and have privacy for intimate conversations. The place has a long history running back to Prohibition, and if it isn't too busy the staff will happily tell you the stories.

I attended a private event here. It's a small bar underground but what a beautiful, cozy, intimate atmosphere. It's filled with cozy little sitting areas where you can enjoy the company of friends or a date. Our group had a wonderful night at the Flute

I went for a mixology class and it was so much fun. George and Eric are the best! We made three different drinks, got a bunch of photos and videos, and had the time of our lives. I would definitely recommend doing this with a group of friends.

I wish I could give the service here ten stars instead of just five. Maddy was so absolutely amazing. Words cannot express how special she made us feel, giving us an in depth look at the history of the bar, walking us through the menu, and just being overall fun & kind. Come here. Order the pomegranate margarita. And ask for Maddy. Thank me later!

Flute bar is a lovely, intimate place where you can sit in a private niche with your date or small gathering of friends and really relax. Located in midtown west and convenient to subways. The ambiance is dreamlike and charmingly retro. The drinks and food very good and best of all, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Wednesday is Jazz Night, where a small group is offered for your pleasure, as well 7:00-10:00. Highly recommend. Marty Elkins

You're in New York and you haven't been to Flute Champagne Bar? What are you waiting for? Friendly reception, discreet and efficient service, dim ambiance, and of course 👌🏻 champagne flutes and cocktails: it’s a solid ten if you love liquids.

This place is perfect for a date! Intimate little nooks with cushioned couches and tables and candles. Went on a sunday night and had a decent flow of people but not crowded at all. Waiter, Max, was stellar. He showed up just when we needed him but never interrupted our conversation or checked in too much. I had reserved the table prior and specified that I wanted a romantic spot, and Max, who reserved the table, indeed picked one of the most cozy nooks for us. A lovely night to remember, and I think Flute Midtown will be a favourite from now on.

History of the 1920s meets modern ambiance and spectacular service. This midtown speakeasy serves up delicious cocktails and plenty of stories to fill each moment while enjoying them. Madeline and Charlie served up quite the experience from start to finish. A must have is the signature ginger infused champagne from the prohibition era, a specialty of the grande dame Texas « Intimie » ! Sharp sophisticated elegance, indeed.

Great place for a bottle of champagne and an intimate conversation with a loved one. Prices are what you would expect in NYC. Almost missed the place because you almost have to be on the same side of the street to see the sign. Venue is below street level. Would go again.

I heard about Flûte from a singles mixer I didn’t make the age cut for. This is a date night spot. I went with another single girlfriend because we like going to grown up places and giggle about it. We each got some French champagne that we liked. It’s dark out there. I accidentally kicked my table and pilled the champagne. My server wiped it and brought me another glass soon. She was understanding. They have half of buy one get one free Tuesdays and Jazz on Wednesday nights. Flûte has ambience and privacy and a good place to hold a glass and have a conversation. I recommend giving it a shot ;)

This place takes you on a trip to Paris while you never leave Midtown. It's dark and mellow here, with a plush vibe and plush seating. The staff is attentive, the cocktails and champagne are fantastic, and there's live music to set the mood even more on certain evenings.

Nice place to stroll in post-dinner. Quiet on a cold Thursday night, and it was easy to get a prime table. Intimate and quiet, which was great to catch up with an old friend without feeling like we were being watched or listened to. Service was quick and accommodating, but the server wasn’t the most knowledgeable with the extensive menu. I really enjoyed the flights, which came in a fun tower with “elegant” glassware. I’ve always considered this a tourist trap, which it probably is, but if you navigate the menu and are willing to spend for a quiet venue, it’s worth any locals’ attention.

I visited this spot for an event and spent a few hours there. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy, with dim lighting and comfortable couches that made it feel perfect for a relaxed, personal evening. The bartender was fantastic—she recommended a champagne based on my preferences, and it turned out to be just right. That drink was definitely the highlight of my visit. I didn’t get the chance to explore much else, but overall it struck me as a lovely, cozy place worth returning to.

So this quaint, old-time speak easy is a hidden gem to experience. They specialize in champagne and most cocktails are made with it. Of course you can ask for your usual mojitos or old fashioned drinks, just to name a few but they also have their own branded champagne which is a creeper and has a very mild, sweet ginger taste and lots of character to it. They do have ginger foods and I have included some pictures to top this off.

11/10 Maddie was just awesome! We ended up sitting by the bar as we were two Friends catching up together but we joked that this venue was actually better on a date night so maybe we should try to fall in love. The decor is lovely and the service is excellent. The drinks are also premium bonus tip is if you come on a Tuesday they have happy hour from four till 8 PM it's a win all around.

Heard about The Flute while on a Prohibition tour with @Telltale Tours it wasn't on the itinerary for the night. We decided to go another night on our own. So glad we did. On the sight of an original Speakeasy from the 20's the current owners did a great job redecorating keeping the feel of a Speakeasy. It is now a champagne bar but they also have their takes on several cocktails. My favorite was the pomegranate margarita. If you go, ask George the bartender to give you some of the history of the place. Photo of the lit square on the floor is where the original bar had a hidey hole to stash the booze and money before a raid.

We had gotten a gift certificate with intention of attending the champagne school, but could not , so before it expired, we got to see the "tree" and walked to Flute. It is a very cute, basement venue that was a speakeasy in the 20s. Had great cocktails and champagnes to try and a nice bar menu to sample. The staff were super, and a group of "francophiles" were enjoying their time practicing.

A
Andy Cambridge

Unless you've got incredibly deep pockets, this place certainly isn't somewhere that you would spend all night... On that basis please let this put you off. Cocktails here are very good and the building has some really interesting prohibition history that isn't so hard to imagine in the interior. It does come with a health warning: let your eyes adjust! Its initially very dark inside.

M
Michael Bagner

Cool vibe and it's in the basement sort of like a speakeasy. Interesting seating like little couches and little private areas. Romantic. My only criticism was that the atmosphere would be better served by playing jazz or a very easy listening rather then the harder rock that was too loudly playing. But that's my opinion.

J
Jean Mendez

This bar is si beautiful and with a really good vibe and the location is great. I went to the bar to see this place and the staff is cordial and friendly. My only issue (that’s why I’m taking one star away) was paying over $16 for a drink (Gabriel) that in the menu says “Hendricks gin” and they give you house gin is outrageous.

Title: Bubbles, Velvet, and a Hint of Paris in Midtown — Flûte is a Vibe Review: Dropped into Flûte Champagne Bar after a packed day of judo training and real estate meetings — needed something with a little sparkle, and this tucked-away Midtown gem delivered. It feels like a sultry Parisian lounge — dim lighting, velvet banquettes, and that unmistakable clink of flutes catching candlelight. The champagne list? Solid. From grower bottles to vintage labels, they’ve curated a selection that leans French-forward without being overwhelming. I went with a classic Brut Rosé, served properly chilled in a tall flute. Balanced, dry, with just enough fruit to ride solo. Bonus: they had a specialty cocktail featuring elderflower and bubbles that was light, floral, and well executed. Food: Small bites menu was on point. I ordered the truffle popcorn and smoked salmon toast — both elevated bar fare, perfect for a pre-dinner stop or nightcap. Service: Service was professional but not overly warm — efficient, knowledgeable, but a little distant. Could’ve used just a touch more hospitality to hit the fifth star. Vibe: Dark, romantic, intimate. A date-night favorite, no doubt. Ideal for small groups, couples, or solo champagne lovers looking to escape the chaos above ground. Final Take: Flûte feels like a secret worth sharing — a Paris-meets-NYC escape built for toasts, conversation, and a little magic in a glass. Not quite perfect, but absolutely worth the visit. I was there on a Sunday for the speed dating event. The service was good. It was a little dark but I enjoyed it. I guess that’s the ambiance. It was a little loud that night. But other than that, it was a pretty hip place.

Visited Flûte Champagne Bar and had the opportunity to join a mixer, with a wide range of drink options including cocktails and non-alcoholic selections. The venue clearly serves as a hub for hosted events, and later in the evening a DJ added to the lively, upbeat atmosphere. While the ambience was okay, the space—particularly convenience areas—would benefit from more frequent cleaning during busy periods, as cleanliness declined as the night went on.

Shai Perez

Great atmosphere, small plates, and we had a super cool private section Only von is the bartender was a lil too heavy on adding citrus to all the drinks.

I went here for a speed dating event and the venue was really nice. It had a nice relaxing vibe to it and I definitely would come back here to see one of the Jazz shows that they said that they have their. The bartenders were pretty nice and attentive. The drinks were a little pricey but strong so that made up for the price. All in all a nice clean place and I would return

Came here again tonight 2/22/25. Bartender was super nice and helpful. Bathrooms could use some sprucing up, the flusher happened to be broken in one of them. Otherwise, a very cute and comfortable spot to hang out for a drink and some light bites. Haven’t tried the food myself but would definitely come back. Love the velvet decor and dim lighting. The bartender was a bit slow but he had a handful of customers to serve and was bartending by himself, it seemed. The pomegranate margarita was good albeit slightly overpriced, and a 22% gratuity is automatically added in, even for a party of 1. I’d totally go back here. Note: entrance is down a small flight of stairs, there’s a blue sign marking the location.

A beautiful, cozy speakeasy with live music. A champagne bar that has a variety of options to choose from. The prices are reasonable. I was surprised to see that the a bowl full of olives and chips costed $10 in a bar in the middle of Manhattan! They had live band playing jazz music and the whole atmosphere was quite cozy. A nice place for a date night and otherwise.

Cute Champagne bar in Midtown. Our service was slow to get started, but our server absolutely made up for it with his great personality. Don't come hungry, the food menu is extremely limited. Overall, Flute is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a venue with a sultry ambiance.

Definitely get a reservation. We walked in and were seated directly in front of the door. Everything was pricey which was expected, but it didn’t seem that they wanted to serve us at the time, so we left.

A
Alex Stewart

My girlfriend and I are both servers at fine dining restaurants. We enjoyed our wine and the music but it was a really slow night and, still, we eventually had to get up and ask our server for another round of drinks. I understand automatic gratuity in midtown BUT, if you’re going to add a 20% auto grat to a bill (which is steep), a table shouldn’t have to get up and find their server.. especially if there are only 4 other tables. Bartender was on their phone too. I don’t know… just not a good look for such a classy spot.

I liked it until I received my check. It wasn't the cost. It was their failure to mention they added a 20% gratuity, and under the very low lighting, it was difficult to see. I began to leave a tip when I realized my check seemed a bit much. So I used my phones flashlight and immediately saw the reason "service charge" smh. The waitress should have said something. I won't return.

Disclaimer : A 3 stars rating is baasd on the event we had here. If you are just going there for a intimate drink maybe it would 4 stars YMMV We had a mixology class and It was way too dark for us. we couldn't see what we were doing for most of time and they didn't have anyway to make the room a bit brighter. The drinks seemed okay but the recipes were too plain. The bartender was great and helped us along the way. We had fun all the same but wouldn't recommend it. Again it might be that it's our fault for not researching better but they definitely could have made the experience much better.. From what I saw it seems like a great place for an intimate date. Nice and dark to get cozy. PS - it's in the basement which might be a deal breaker for some. (it was definitely for me)

I had an odd experience here. The design of this speakeasy-inspired spot in a basement is pretty charming. It’s dark and cozy and lit by warm-toned lighting and candlelight. The drink menu was well thought out and reasonably priced for this part of the world. The service was a little bizarre. We had excellent service from a young woman who was there for most of our visit. She left about an hour into our visit and informed us that the bartender would take over. He was pleasant at first. Then when another party came in, his entire attitude changed and when we approached the bar to pay, he had a really rude and caustic attitude with our party for no reason. We had been quiet, respectful, and appreciative throughout the entire visit. When I tried to paid the ticket, for some reason he kept tinkering with the bill on the POS system a the bar. Finally he slammed down my bill after barking at me to repeat, for the third time, what I had. I’m a good tipper but this service was extremely hostile for no reason and my tip reflected this. A bit of customer service training with this gentleman might be helpful to keep other customers from having the same experience. His attitude pretty well ruined an otherwise great experience.

I recently visited on a weekend and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience with one of the bartenders. I’ve been to the bar multiple times and have always been impressed by the service from the other bartenders, particularly the male staff, who have been attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful in guiding me through the champagne selections. However, during this visit, I encountered a tall Spanish female bartender who appeared to be having a bad day and was noticeably rude to my guests and me. While I understand that everyone can have off days, it’s important for staff to maintain professionalism, especially in a customer service role. Unfortunately, her attitude left a negative impression and made the experience uncomfortable. I was considering hosting an event at this venue, but this encounter has given me pause. I would hope management addresses this issue and ensures that all staff are trained to deliver the same high level of service I’ve come to expect from this establishment

I'm not sure if I was drinking too slow and threw the server off, but I should've been asked if I wanted a drink sooner. Then the establishment got busier, and I had to wait a little longer after that to get checked on. Looks amazing! My selection was very good (I had a glass of the Beau Jois brut), and I was pleased by their overall offerings. Solo or date vibes here depending on the day and your mood. I will go back and sit at the bar next time I'm flying solo with a book.

Perhap's we came on the wrong night. It was a Monday night, after a concert at Carnegie Hall. Ambiance was great, although loud hip hop music as one of the options doesn't say "Speak Easy" some music tracks were very fitting for the place. Two stars are for the decor and a well made drink. But service was sub par. I had the "Antoinette" and the other party had the "Kir Royale" both were really good. Server brought drinks, disappeared and never came back. My husband would have liked another drink but after getting up, looking around for someone and after standing in the middle of the place right in front of the bar...crickets. Nobody to be found. He said "let's go". Still not a sign of anyone. Went up to bar, there was a woman sitting on a iPad, I thought at first a customer, I asked if anyone was around to settle up...she jumped up, called out a name then walked to the door and our server was outside chatting and smoking all that time with the bartender. I don't begrudge someone a break but maybe say "I'm going on break, did you want another drink or your bill" As I was settling bill the lady with laptop started discussion with bartender about FB groups and which ones to join" pretty much zero interaction with me as a customer whilst I'm paying for my two $18 drinks.

We were served champagne that was warm and flat and server was somewhat rude. Wasn’t worth the hassle of sending back so we paid, tipped, and left. Nice ambience and very comfortable seat cushions.

Came here for a friends birthday. The vibe and space and atmosphere was great. Great space, perfect for a private event or a birthday. But the waitstaff was AWFUL. It took minimum 20minutes to get one drink and it’s not because it was short staffed, there were at least five bartenders. It was because initially the POS system was down, but then all of them were too busy arguing about it. We were there for about 3 hours and everyone had the same experience - they were arguing the whole time. Even to close out my tab to catch my Uber, the bartender couldn’t be bothered to move swiftly because he was too busy arguing with his coworkers and by then it was about a customer, not even the POS system. I’d consider going back, but I’d lower my expectations on customer service.

Cool atmosphere, but be careful at the bar. If you’re just grabbing drinks even getting your drinks at the bar, know that they add a 20% tips to the bill without clearly disclosing it. When I asked about the price for three drinks (1 champagne, 1 vodka, and 1 Jameson), they initially said they couldn’t tell me until it was rung up. Then, the bartender casually mentioned it was $76 while glancing over his shoulder. I had to specifically ask for the check to review it, only to find the 20% service charge already included—something they didn’t mention upfront. I don’t mind paying for drinks, but an automatic 20% tip for just drinks that you are getting yourself at the bar feels excessive. It comes off as a bit shady. Oh, and they charge a dollar for ice in your drink. Won’t be returning.

The drinks were pretty good, but the waitress honestly was quite rude. I was waiting inside since it was cold and happened to be in her way several times, but she pushed me with her shoulder the second time. Also kicked us out when we weren't ordering any more drinks (there were plenty of seats open). Would rather find somewhere else with nicer people. We were there yesterday at around 8-10PM.

We visited Flute bar on August 13th for my Birthday celebration in a party of 9 people. We had a private mixology class at the venue that we arranged in advance and paid in full for everyone in our party. When we arrived at the place, we had to spend around 45 minutes waiting for our table (although we arranged all the experience in advance and paid in full). One of my guests had to leave before the class started. Before of the delay she didn’t get to try any of the drinks. So we could only take the class in a party of 8 people. The mixology class itself was good and included 3 drinks that we mixed ourselves. The bartender that was teaching us provided instructions on how to mix the drinks as well as some historical information about each drinks and we found it entertaining. However me and my guests were very disappointed about the delay and the fact that the bar wasn’t ready for us when we arrived. I reached out to the bar a few times after that to get a refund for the 9th person who couldn’t get to participate in the class clearly because the bar wasn’t ready when we arrived. The bar management ignored my requests - this is clearly not a good service.

If you like Champagne this place has options. For Champagne lovers, you won’t find much of interest here - it’s a lot of Big Houses brut non-vintage. And while the staff was kind they were not very helpful in recommending Champagne. I asked for recommendations for growers champagne and the first person didn’t know what that was and got the more experienced person, who then recommended Ruinart and Drappier. A bit disappointing for all the hype I heard about this place.

Awful place which is sad because there is SO much potential! Food served literally did not match the menu (see picture of ‘spread trio’ which was actually 3 bowls of hummus instead of the menu description). Our waitress smelled so strongly of cigarettes it was hard to speak with her. Which is the only theory I can come up with why they brought us the completely wrong dish. Singer pumped the music so loud you couldn’t hold a conversation. Disco tech EDM was playing as we walked in - just random music. When I heard ‘Rhythm of the Night’ play, it was clear no one cared about the ambiance. Large champagne and caviar selection - and the place was not dirty or scary, actually interesting cozy interior design - so it’s not zero stars.

Went here with some friends last night and ordered a bottle of sparkling rose…which was lukewarm when they poured it for us. We told the server, and he got us another bottle that he tried to chill on ice, but you can’t chill a bottle of sparkling that way if you don’t want to wait an hour for it to be properly chilled. Not sure why a champagne bar wouldn’t have its bottles already in a refrigerator chilling, but the server should have immediately known not to serve us that bottle and suggested a different bottle in our price point instead. This was the craziest part — when I went up to the bar and asked what bottles they had currently chilling in the refrigerator, the bartender literally said to me, “It depends on how much you want to spend.” I wanted to say, “Actually, if it’s on your menu, it should be ready to be served to a customer.” It was clear that because we weren’t spending $200 on a bottle, they didn’t care about us or our experience. Really bad service. Won’t be going back.

Reserved yesterday for the large party size a few weeks ago and even confirmed with the bar via email before the day. Arrived at the place on time but the door was locked so we called them - what we heard back was that the bar is closed due to a "special event". NOT A SINGLE MESSAGE WAS SENT TO NOTIFY THIS PRIOR TO OUR RESERVATION. This is how they run their business. 🤦‍♂️

Nice fairly romantic spot but too cramped, bad lighting and terrible music. The bartenders are the WORST I HAVE EVER been attended to. Such bad attitudes. They'd rather do side work than get your drink. DON'T waste your time going here! There are nicer midtown bars to go and have a good time

The WORST customer service. I tried to visit with my friend as we saw they had a booth outside that was open and heated. When we went inside to ask to be seated there, one of the women by the bar yelled “I ain’t got no jacket on and it’s cold.” Seriously? Is that how you talk to customers? The hostess tried to fix it and sit us in a nice section. Then the girl by the bar immediately cut her off and told her that the section was reserved (it was not). It was incredibly awkward. You could tell the bartender/hostess didn’t want us there. And honestly, it seemed incredibly discriminatory to my friend. I’ll just leave it at that. We walked out. For that to happen in NYC is crazy. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The place is quite nice - however I feel forced to put one star because I have never treated so poorly - the barman has been extremely impolite to all the participants of the night, and at times he was aggressive and verbally abusive. Absolutely unacceptable level of service. Especially for a place with prices definitely above average I would expect at least an average service. Not recommended.

Terrible. Stay away. Overpriced champagne flutes. I ordered X the waiter served me Y. I ordered a Brut and she served me a Rose. When I asked she answered it’s the same. 😩 UPDATE- I do know about champagne having visited the region myself precisely this year and having even visited Canard Duchene house itself. That’s the reason we ordered it. You can charge whatever you understand for your business and customers shall have their opinions. Since your staff remembers us so well let me just remind her that I ordered the Canard Duchene Loeonise and got the Canard Duchene Rosé. When I asked her as I received the bill her words where “It’s the same”. We payed for our Canard Duchene Rosé $25 each flute and left. Maybe put more effort in your staff knowledge rather than being rude in answering back my review. I was not trashing, I was placing my honest review and also using my FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
