It's a classic diner experience. Great food and quirky friendly staff! The spaghetti and salad last night was perfection!
Stopped there for lunch. Fries were very generous and the burger was delicious. We also had a gyro and vanilla shake, also very good. Would come back again!
I love coming here for breakfast, I haven't been here for lunch or dinner but I'm sure it's great too. The service is great. The food is good and well served. I love the retro look of the place. I hope it stays just the way it is
My mom and I went there 12/19/25. The food was excellent. My chicken noodle soup was full of chicken and vegetables. Most places you go it's like the chicken just walked through it. Our waitress was on the ball I did not have to ask for many things I have to ask for at other restaurants. My meatloaf was outstanding as were the French fries and the homemade coleslaw. My mom ordered a burger with fries and Swiss The burger was very good but the bun sort of fell apart around the burger a bakery bun would have held up better. We will both be back.
While traveling the country I love stopping at diners, and the Village Diner was the classic American diner, like the Silver Diner chain. It’s a classic silver diner with modern, updated comfort food. The Village Diner has a casual atmosphere with a mix of booths and a counter, with a 1950’s feel, like you would expect, with a menu of American classics and healthier options. I had the French toast, with butter , cinnamon and powered sugar. I do love listening to the counter staff chat with the regular locals, it’s added to the experience of the local diner. So if you’re driving up I84 in Milford PA, make this a stop, it’s conveniently located right off the highway.
The meatloaf is absolutely amazing!! We stumbled upon the Village diner by accident.. what a great find. The service was excellent our waitress was super friendly and helpful when ordering. The food was delicious very nice portions for the price.. the only issue the Manhattan clam chowder is more like a Manhattan clam chili not chowder.. still delicious just misrepresented.. I would certainly stop again if I ever end up in Milford again.
The service was so good I wanted to leave a review before we even got our food. The menu is fun and extensive with a huge variety well beyond a typical diner. The food was just as good as the service. We got over easy (dippy) eggs, breakfast sandwich, pancakes, and French toast. Everything was excellent.
Today my family and I had breakfast at a cafe. It is a roadside cafe, similar to a metal train car. The room is small, the interior is simple and interesting. The atmosphere is friendly. We were served by Giorgina (I may have the wrong name), she is very nice. My family is very picky about food, we try to eat healthy. We chose omelettes, my husband with mushrooms, I with broccoli, we refused sides (different types of potatoes, toasts). My daughter ordered scrambled eggs. We also ate pancakes. The waitress decided to bring us omelettes with home-made potatoes. And it was great, everything was delicious, not salty, not sweet, not fatty, like in other similar places. We liked everything very much. Definitely 5 stars!
Our meals were filling, hot, and left us very satisfied. My company said that her eggs were cooked exactly how she requested, and thoroughly enjoyed her quesadilla as well. I didn’t expect the sausage links to be so large!-Devoured them as well as my pancakes. Thanks for a great breakfast as we leave Pennsylvania. Also, what a lovely view from inside!
Amazing. Wish it was in my town! Huge portions, cheap prices, great service. Greek warriors skillet, spanakopita Benny, and baklava pancakes were all absolutely delicious, I'll be thinking about them for a long time! Home fries had a little smokiness, yum. Coffee was great too. Very kind servers went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed for takeout (stayed at motel next door). Adorable place, will absolutely go here again if I'm in the area! Forgot to take pictures of the food before we started, we were hungry and it was so delicious! 😋
Ate breakfast there this morning after staying for the night at Scottish Inns right next door. How lucky were we to be able to walk through the parking lot to such a gem! It’s a vintage diner with friendly staff and GREAT food! We had omelets, French toast and corned beef hash! Everything was delicious and fresh! I need to go back because there are some unique offerings that I need to try! Our server Ashley was a doll! So sweet and attentive even as they were being slammed with a huge Saturday morning breakfast crowd!
They do not mention that the french fries in your dish ($5), or tomatoes and onions in your burger (less than $2) are with fee. But apart from that, loved the people working there. The waitress was very helpful and kind. We were trying to find an authentic looking american diner as in the US movies that takes part in wild west, and there it was:) And menu was very long with plenty of food. Note that they close at 9pm but their kitchen closes at 8:30 pm, so do not go last minute.
Quaint little place, good spot and plenty of parking available. New menu, food was good, my sandwich needed a little more sauce, other than that it was delicious, portions are generous and the French fries are perfect, love the pickle, very crunchy. The fish and chips were fried golden and moist inside, not overdone. Only complain is the seats, they need to have them redone, need more cushions, I can only speak for the ones we were sitting on, back left of the diner.
Five of us visited Village Diner on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered the Greek Fries, the Redneck (breakfast), and the kids and adult versions of the chicken strips. Food was great, service was good. The shakes and desserts looked great, and everything was reasonably priced. We look forward to returning.
The food was good enough though my burger bun was not toasted and just wasn't great but the burger was very good. The pickle was more cucumber than pickle so in my opinion it wasn't good but maybe some people like them that way. Everything was at least presented well. The spaghetti and meatball were very good. The falafel with pita was very good too. The service was not the best. Our waitress was kinda awkward and weird. When we first got seated some of us were using the bathroom and when we stated we could give our drink order she said don't you wanna wait and just walked away. The bathroom was kinda small, cold and the men's urinal was out of order.
This is the second time we ate here and the last! This breakfast was terrible for both me and my hubby! Has biscuit and sausage grave! The gravy was cold not even warm. The biscuits look like they were made two or three day ago! Was look forward to them. They had almost no gray at all! but husband homefries look like they were from yesterday just some dark crispy piece's. When i mention it about the food to the waiter, She looked like she did not care at all! Will never come back again! Left no tip at all!
Me and my girlfriend used to love this spot. It was exactly what they claimed to be. A home-style diner with quality comfort food. I actually don't like diners at all. But this one stood out with it's fantastic food. However in the past couple of months the food seems to have drastically declined. I'm unsure if it's a chef change or management is making changes, either way the quality is taking a hit. Months ago I noticed the portions seemed to get smaller. Which isn't a big deal to me as long as the flavor was there. But these last 2 months the flavor isn't there either. It's a real shame because I actually really liked this diner but at the price point of $50+ for 2 meals, that neither me or my girlfriend enjoyed, I don't see myself coming back here again.
We are local and stopped in tonight, Sept. 2, 2025 at 8pm for dinner. This is the second visit in the last couple weeks, first visit my grandson was served burnt fried chicken fingers, waitress claimed it was the way their fryer cooks them, that they “just looked burnt but were not.” Yes they were burnt and he wouldn’t eat them. Tonight our table was dirty with dried food and drink, and we asked to have it cleaned, which waitress promptly did. Problem was we were the only patrons, why wasn’t table already cleaned? We ordered late night omelets, the Dirty Jersey and a ham and cheese, they were overcooked and dry, and we were served the HEELS of rye bread. Worst were the home fries as shown in pics. We were both served extremely dry overcooked burnt home fries. When the waitress asked if everything was ok, we kindly said no, look how burnt these potatoes are. She offered to bring us a new order, we accepted and were sent another plate of burnt disgusting dried out garbage in 2 minutes! Completely Unacceptable! We were not charged for our drinks as compensation for the potatoes but still had a $30 bill, how generous of them! We will never ever go back there again. The cook is terrible, unable to serve properly prepared food and doesn’t care what he sends out !! I do not recommend, best to avoid this diner, plenty of other great places nearby.
An 18.00 Salad (traditional Chef Salad) and a Kids sized Chicken fingers shouldn’t take close to 50 minutes to be served especially when there’s only 7 tables filled. There’s more staff than tables and people are still waiting for their food. The good news is that the staff apologized for the wait and offered to fill our drinks. Kinda sad when your child has to ask why the food is taking so long. The table next to us just got up and said, “I’ve been here for an hour and a half, I’m getting up now because I’m not waiting for my check!” So, plan your food decisions before heading to The Village Diner! You might have a while before your foods comes. :::::UPDATE::::: Well, the food finally came, definitely not an $18.00 Salad, the Turkey edges were discolored and dry. Chicken fingers (10.00) well, they were edible. The average wait is an hour and a half it seems.
