A hidden gem in town that offers great food with good portions. We came here for the highly rated crispy pork, which is sweet and tangy, but we’re impressed with how good everything is. The spareribs, braised pork belly and pork feet were all amazing and flavorful. I love how they’re rich in flavor. Definitely a great place to come back to.
All dishes we got are quite tasty and authentic. service is also prompt and nice, will definitely come back again.
Excellent authentic Chinese food.I highly recommend.Try the fried croaker!
I really enjoy spicy food and Spicy way hit the spot. I remember when Spicy Way opened and I bookmarked it but didn't have time to visit. We came for early dinner at 5:30PM. We were seated right away because they have many seating with clean spacious interior. Our server Long and the other staff were all accommodating and very friendly. We ordered the sauteed lamb with black pepper, the shredded potatoes with sour pickles, and the boiled fish in hot and spicy chilies oil. They were all so delicious. The seasoning was not too salty like some of the authentic Chinese restaurants I have tried. They have variety of dishes so we will be coming back to try more!
During covid, we've been supporting local restaurants by ordering takeouts left and right. We ordered dishes from here, the lady was super nice and understanding, food wrapped safely. And the food we ordered were all delicious and very flavorful, super satisfying. Absolutely comeback for more.
Mommy was craving Chinese food after a day of shopping at the Great Mall. We decided to check out Yuan Bistro. Yuan Bistro gave us a nostalgic feel! What Chinese food should be! If you’re looking for Panda Express, then this is NOT for you. Rather, these are dishes that reminded me of my childhood, things my grandma would cook for us for dinner. So comforting and yummy at the same time. Things we order: Wonton Soup In Hot And Spicy Sauce Crispy Fried Small Yellow Croaker Cold Noodle With Chicken Shreds Chongjin staly deep-fried pork Pork Kidney & Sichuan Pepper +Chilies Steamed Pork Belly With Lotus Leaf
Great place for both lunch and dinner. There is a good range of dishes in the menu. Loved the string beans.
Good service and delicious food! My friends and I come to this place once a week after working out and have tried many different dishes. All of them are very tasty!
Pretty good. Not much wait
Authentic Chinese spicy food.🌶️ We tried the stinky tofu and it tasted so good. Will come back and try other dishes. Service is great.

I’m writing this comment to recommend this restaurant to all people who are interested in north eastern Chinese food, from where I was born and raised 长春. It is so far the best restaurant I’ve ever had that cook my hometown food right. For years I’ve been looking for restaurant that could remind me of home cooking and I found it here at last. In my hometown there is a famous dish called 锅包肉 that i never had a good place to go for ever since I came to US. I found it very surprising that the dish here cooked tastes exactly like the restaurant that is near my home in China. For people who are looking for a good place to go for good Chinese food and hospitality atmosphere, you won’t regret by coming here. Plenty of parking space and the host is always kind to others. I will definitely come back here more often whenever I’m thinking of home, and I’ll always be hungry for more good food here.
We came to Yuan Bistro on a friend’s recommendation and were so impressed! The food was absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors that reminded us of home. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, from the perfectly seasoned stir-fries to the comforting soups. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was bright, clean, and cozy — perfect for both casual dinners and family meals. Prices are reasonable too, especially given the quality. If you love real, flavorful Chinese food, Yuan Bistro is a must-try! We’ll definitely be coming back soon ❤️

Our family visited this place for multiple times, at least 6-7 times before I gave this review. The most impressive dish is 锅包肉 溜肉段, the others are just ok. But last time I ordered 鱼香肉丝 which was horrible, they don’t have carrots and use the cucumber to replace it, it tasted so bad. I think I will only come back when I want the top two dishes and never tried the other dishes anymore. It will be very risky.
Wow absolutely delightful!!! An awesome surprised!!! Very happy that my friend and I came here for lunch!!! Spicy Tofu was Spicy and Flavorful!!! The Crispy Fried Pork was definitely delightful!!! The Portions were definitely more than plenty for the both of us!!! Thanks you Yelp Katie and Yuan Bistro for this Fantastic Invitation! Love this!!!!🙃😋💛July062023😍
A friend of mine took me here. Place has had a few change overs in the last few years. Loved everything he ordered. Service was very attentive. Went back and had some mapo tofu.
Nice authentic Hunan dishes. Have not tried their Sichuan food, so can comment on those. The dry beef slices appetizer is better than shown on the menu. The beef is sliced thin and sprinkled with coriander, peanuts, chilli and other spices. The tea smoked duck was fragrant and not dry. The steamed fish in pickled chilli is not as fresh tasting as in Changsha, but is fine by bay area standards. Second time around, tried their Sichuan dishes and they are pretty good. The peppercorn is both visible to the eye and the taste bud. Overall, fulfills the promises of the shops name!
Some dishes are good but some are not. Don’t recommend the shredded potatoes. Appetizers are expensive with small portions.

Stopped by for lunch. Had Szechuan eggplants and pork stir fry. Both dishes are flavorful.
The Hot And Sour Noodles Soup With Pork Intestines has too much oil. Fragrant Stir - Fried Cutlets Chicken With Chillies is ok. I came here for their Haerbin style pork, but totally disappointed about it. The dish was definitely over cooked. The flour was not applied well on the pork. It just tasted sweet not sour at all. It is really hard to bite. In addition, I was there for lunch. It was really hot in the restaurant. They did not turn up the AC, which caused negative experience.
Visited last week after reading a number of good reviews online. The 锅包肉 was in good flavor, however we waited for more than 40minutes after order placement. By the time 锅包肉 is on the table we already lost the appetite to enjoy the flavor. In addition, we ordered 鱼香肉丝 and 重庆豌杂面 just to try out, which came out to the table early enough. Honestly speaking as a Chongqing-ese, I would not say the dishes are authentic at all. They were in good flavor to enjoy, but definitely not the best to represent the authenticity of the dish. In all if you lower your overall expectation and if you did not have to wait for 40min to try out the 锅包肉, this is a nice restaurant to pay a visit for.
Food is good here if you like spicy foods. Do note that the dishes here are more like numb and spicy here as they use quite a lot of rattan pepper. Decoration is pretty nice and they use peacock as their main theme. Service is friendly too. However, they're definitely under staff'ed. We waited for almost an hour for our dishes to come (or maybe the waiter forgot to inform kitchen of our order). Another thing is the sun gets pretty harsh around sunset is you're sitting near West side.

The restaurant changed chinese name, the quality drops a lot. I thought they are using prepared dish. The meat is over cooked, but the burn is not steam enough.

What an disappointment! I had high expectations based on all the good reviews here. However, dishes are oily AF with a weird (like unfresh pork) flavor. The oil must has been used for deep frying for multiple times. The restaurant super very smelly. I don’t know why someone even said this is the cleanest Chinese restaurant… Guo Bao Rou(fried pork slices) - very sweet, not sour enough, very thick batter, slices are cut too large. Suan La Fen(sour-spicy potato noodles): super oily with no flavor. I had to add soy sauce and vinegar myself to be able to eat it.

Today I went to this restaurant to eat one of my favorite fish soup dishes, that I had ordered in the past. But this time, the dish had a funny smell from the beginning, which was different from the previous times I ordered this dish. We were suspecting that some ingredient was not fresh may be, and after trying to eat the dish for 5 minutes, we figured out that the fish was smelling bad. We informed the waitress and she took the food in the kitchen, but promptly emerged later to tell us that nothing was wrong with the dish. We thought maybe we were wrong and so we tried to keep eating. But soon I bit into a piece of fish that just smelled rotten and this time I was sure that the fish was bad. So I informed the waitress again, and this time she said that all their fish were the same, and left us at the table. Finally after sitting there for 5 minutes, we asked her again what we should do and this time we were told that we could leave without paying. So we left. This experience left us disappointed. At no point were we offered a replacement dish.
