What a fantastic experience! Dalip and the team were amazing. We came early and they seated us right away in an amazing table. The food and service was 20/10. Dalip was so friendly and had great recommendations. We started out with the wagyu hot stone appetizer. This was the best I have ever had. The scallops and chicken parm were delicious as were the Brussels sprouts. I highly recommend Stella Van Buren’s! Perfect for a date night. Thank you all again for a wonderful dining experience.

My friend and I came here for a simple breakfast, but it turned out to be an amazing experience thanks to Ana. I will definitely be coming back for the amazing service and food. Five stars!

I especially love the atmosphere! The high ceilings and set up. Customer service was great. We had the spicy shrimp linguine, baked Mac & cheese and crab cakes. The crab cakes were very cold inside so that was the only disappointment. Otherwise, everything was fabulous!

When around Milwaukee downtown, this is a great spot for good food. Got there around 10am to enjoy the delicious breakfast. Ordered the B.L.T.E.A.*, Lemon Pancakes and some good cup of coffe. The food came pretty fast, but the potatoes were a little cold, I imagine they have them ready ahead of time, but they still taste delicious. They made us change tables and the table wasn’t the cleanest, I would imagine they just had a breakfast rush right before we arrived. I still give them the 5 stars because what stayed with me is how delicious everything tasted. Now i need to go back to taste the lunch and dinner menus.

The food was fantastic. The family and I came there to celebrate a birthday. Service was eh, okay. Our waitress didnt go through the menu, specials, or really answer our questions. It was also disappointing when the waitress brought out the cake. Everyone was not present, and the candle wasn't lit. So half the family missed it when using the restroom.

Upscale atmosphere with fresh healthy yet succulent food at the heart of Downtown Milwaukee few minutes walk from lakefront. My favorite is the riccota pancakes with lemon syrup. They are fluffy creamy and the syrup gives them a unique tangy twist 😋. My equally favorite is the eggs with roasted fingerling potatoes and sour dough toast. Very well prepared and reasonably priced. One of the most important metrics to rate a restaurant and top factor to go back again is not the food. It is the service. The hosts and servers are very friendly professional and just take your experience to the next level. I highly recommend Stella.

CJ was amazing. Super friendly and very attentive! He gave great recommendations and answered any questions. First time eating here and will definitely come back the next time I’m in Milwaukee. Thank you CJ!

The Ossobucco was really good. The views were pretty nice as well during the golden hour. We really liked that dessert.

Absolutely amazing experience at Stella! The food was made with love and presentation was on point. So delicious and great portions. Not to mention we had the most hospitable experience with Kelly and Jodi!! Awesome staff and will 100% be back! :)

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff members were genuinely great. Another guest lost an earring stud while we were there. The restaurant had a lot of their staff scanning the area. And even after the guests had left, I observed the staff came back to do a more thorough check. Our host and waitress was also very helpful. The atmosphere is top notch. Perfect place for a date or important meal with a guest you want to impress. The food was also very good. I do recommend the burratta bruchetta and crab cake for appetizers. The tomatos and the spread in the bruchetta compliment each other well and makes the flavors pop in your mouth. The crabcake was very generous with its portions of crab meat For entrees: I had the bone in ribeye. My guest has the omega burger. Both were very good. My steak was cooked perfectly to my liking (medium well). For a restaurant of this caliber, the steak was good but doesn't stand out amongst others I've had in the past. I'd definitely come back and try their other dry aged steaks and entree options. Overall, the atmosphere, and service was great. The staff was above excellent. Their food definitely does stand out and is worth trying to expand your palate with the different combinations they come up with. The steak was good but I would suggest you try something else if you're on the fence. Would highly recommend this place.

Attended with coworkers from out of town, and had a wonderful time. Our server was beyond wonderful- attentive, funny, and engaging. The wine and liquor selection are impressive and the signature drinks are dangerously delicious! (I recommend the afternoon apricot spritz 🥂) The food was good; we liked the spicy calamari, crab cake, and strawberry and honey goat cheese crostini as starters, and I enjoyed the red snapper for the main. Overall, worth the visit! Check it out for a happy hour or dinner, anytime.

Great food, great place. Crab cake is delicious, taste like the casquinha de siri from Rio Grande, RS. The Wagyu bolognese is really delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had. The other pasta, penne with lamb sausage marinara, is just ok, I wouldn’t repeat it. Only downside is the reduced menu - not many options. Highly recommend.

We went during lunch time, and they seemed short staffed. However the sever was friendly and very helpful when he came around. The Burrata Bruschetta was delicious, I got the Prime Medium rare, it was perfection! My guest had the Wagyu Meatballs which they very much enjoyed. Great spot, beautiful bar and dinning room. I would definitely go back when I'm Milwaukee. Just might go before or after the lunch rush.

Perfect ambience for any type of dining experience. Book ahead of time to secure your place for a special occasion. We had breakfast and shout out to Kelly and Jodi for a very warm reception.

We had an amazing meal! My boyfriend had the barrel steak and I had the halibut. Sooooo good!! Don't leave without getting dessert because the chocolate crumble may be the best dessert I've had in quite some time. Maigann took care of us, she is a top notch server and won't steer you wrong! Overall this was a great experience!!!

My husband and I walked from our hotel and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The restaurant and bar area are beautiful with huge windows offering a great view. Our server, Elizabeth did a wonderful job! She was knowledgeable, attentive and very friendly. We both enjoyed our breakfast and our whole dining experience. I would highly recommend!

Outstanding Service from Loreal I had an exceptional experience thanks to my waitress, Loreal. From the moment I sat down, she was punctual, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our dining experience perfect. She anticipated my needs before I even had to ask, checked in at just the right times, and maintained a warm, professional demeanor throughout. On top of her incredible service, the food was fantastic, everything came out fresh, timely, and exactly as ordered. Loreal’s attention to detail and friendly attitude truly elevated the entire meal. It’s rare to find someone so professional, polite, and personable all at once. She absolutely deserves recognition for her excellent work. If you’re dining here, I highly recommend asking for Loreal. She’ll make sure your experience is top notch.

Had dinner with my daughter while visiting MKE. It was polar vortex weekend so surprised to see restaurant buzzing with so many guests. Based on decor, food and beverage and service quality, I can see why it was busy. Exceptional experience all the way around.

Had an anniversary dinner last night, and the experience was phenomenal! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was top notch (shoutout to our waitress Tayler), and the food was delicious! Had the meatballs, a 10 oz. steak, mac and cheese, and the best tiramisu I've ever had. 10/10 will be back.

Can I tell yall how much I love Kelly!!!!! He is a bright light in my morning. My order is always ready on time. He remembers my order when I call in. And always checks to make sure I’m good. Kelly, thank you for making sure my day starts off on a good note.

Wow! We celebrated my sister's birthday here and we were all thoroughly impressed. Everything was delicious. The filet and scallops practically melted in your mouth. There was an extensive wine selection and the service/atmosphere was excellent. We didn't get pictures of the food, which was as beautiful as it was tasty. We were all doing a happy dance with each bite. As the restaurant industry seems to decline in quality, this place is definitely not. Will be back.

Stella’s is the perfect choice for a large group. Brunch menu has everything you hope for and the food was delicious. CJ was so accommodating for our big group. CJ went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, he had great recommendations for food and drink!

I absolutely love this restaurant, every-time i come, the atmosphere is amazing, the service is incredible & the food is great. Cj did a wonderful job at accommodating my special requests, as well as 5 other guests. He was so sweet & extremely respectful. Even took a group photo for all of us. I would totally recommend, and hope everyone gets to have him as our server.

My husband and I shared a delightful breakfast including generously sized frittata, fresh, flavorful berries and savory chicken sausage! Oh YUM! — what a delicious and bright start to our day! Our servers, Loreal and Dalip were very friendly and professional. Outstanding!

Webster's dictionary describes perfection as the quality of being free from fault or defect, or a state of being complete and excellent. I describe it in one word and that word is Dalip. From hello to goodbye he was nothing short of excellence. He attended to our every needs with the precision of a seasoned surgeon. My cups runnith over! I never felt like I wanted anything. The food, oh my God the food! Dalip ensured all the food was brought out timely and with the perfect temperature and quality I was expecting, no, BEYOND my wildest expectations! I give a hearty applause to the Stella, and their excellent choice in service staff! Dalip, a true delight to the senses and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the PERFECT service.

Atmosphere was perfect. Staff and server (Dalip) were friendly and welcoming. Food was what we expected and we were not disappointed. Scallops were the best we ever had and i tried the ossobuco and it was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. The bread pudding is freshly made and is huge and very savory.

Went with my wife to celebrate my birthday. Had a great time. The pork chop was top tier and BIG! My server was Maigann. She did an outstanding job. Had great suggestions! Really took care of us.

Our server, Claudia, was fantastic as was the other waitstaff who took care of us. Everyone was very personable and attentive to our needs. The food was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere was beautiful. The hostess made sure she listened to where we wanted to be seated and would stop by to see how everything was. It was a wonderful experience.

Kaity was our server and honestly she was 100/10 server, she was great! so genuine, great energy. from the service to the food, I loved it all!! went our for my birthday for my first time, had a bunch of small plates to try.. can't wait to go back for brunch!!

We had an outstanding experience for breakfast this morning. Kelly and L’Oréal did a great job servicing us during our time. We had constant attention and refills out of our coffee and tea. They were also very friendly and accommodated my husband’s gluten free needs. We highly recommend Stella Van Buren for breakfast.

Came here with my wife to celebrate my new job. Service was excellent, steak was solid, and my wife really enjoyed her pasta vodka marinara. What was really the highlight were the cocktails. The bar here is fantastic. I had a pecan infused old fashioned which was one of the best drinks I've had here in Milwaukee. My wife loved her Italian paloma. Really good date night spot. We'll be back again, soon.

Great experience for my girlfriend’s birthday. Our server Anjail was on point and did an excellent job satisfying all our needs.

during my week in MKE at the Westin - my bfast at Stella to was a great way to start my day. The food and atmosphere were solid. The service #TopNotch - shoutouts to Kelly (always had "my" table ready), CJ and Lori who were super attentive. Kudos - it made my mornings very pleasant. I look forward to returning to the Westin (and bfast at Stella) again soon. #WellDone #MuchAppreciated

This restaurant came up as one of Milwaukee’s best restaurants and it was just very average in our opinion. Our waitress Emily was personable. The Italian salad was tasty but huge. It could have easily been for 4 persons. On the opposite, the calamari was good but the portion was small. The sauce for the spicy shrimp fettuccine was very weak. They also charged $16 for a glass of ordinary Malbec. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. It is unfortunate because this restaurant has a nice setting. P.S. We were unable to get bread with our diner because apparently the shipment did not come in because of the holiday??? The holiday is in two days. It did not make any sense.

We were very disappointed with our experience, especially given that this was a New Year’s Eve reservation and a $300 meal. We booked a 5:00 pm reservation because there were no other times available and were seated immediately near the window as soon as we walked in. At that point, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Shortly after, about five other couples were seated on the opposite side of the room behind us, separated by a curtain. This setup made us feel excluded and took away any sense of romantic ambiance we had hoped for on New Year’s Eve. The food was hit or miss, mostly miss. The calamari was not good. The steak and shrimp were especially disappointing—the steak was burnt, and the shrimp were overcooked. The ravioli was oily and subpar. We were also not fans of the bread pudding; it was very dry, and the addition of almonds did not complement the dessert at all. On the positive side, the crab cake was delicious, and the lobster was cooked beautifully. Unfortunately, those few highlights were not enough to make up for the overall experience. We will not be returning. It was simply not worth the $300 price tag.

Great atmosphere, parking was super easy! Dinner was fine, started with a nice Italian red. Had two seafood entrees and a bone in pork chop. Salmon was cooked to perfection, halibut was just fine as well as the pork chop. Service was mediocre, we were never asked how are meal was had to pour are own wine which is completely fine but would have been nice to have done for us. Would like to give it another try.

Giving 2 stars because the food came out super slow (waited close to 30min for the main dish). Ordered the steak tartare to start, then the red snapper and ossobuco. Red snapper was pretty good but the ossobuco was too dry and bland. I feel like it’s missing a sauce. The saffron risotto on the side was what made it palatable. Would not visit again.

The service was horrible. Our waiter was hurried and running. He rarely stopped to check on us. He acted as if he was annoyed and didn't want to be bothered with our table. The first time he tried to take our order he was rushing around the table asking each individual what they would like, he was speaking and moving so fast that he had everyone confused. I asked how a certain dish on the menu was prepared, but he spoke so fast that I never understood what he said. His accent didn't make it any better. I ended up just ordering the soup and salad. I had the little gem ceasar salad and the french onion soup. The salad was really fresh but the flavor was indescribable. I don't know if it was the dressing or the anchovies. I love anchovies but these didn't taste like anchovies. The soup was ok, I know it's supposed to be sweet but this was a little too sweet it kind of tasted like it had artificial sweetene added. We were there for a birthday dinner for my daughter. She and her sister had the dry aged new york strip. They both ordered it cooked medium well. They were both cooked past well. The were dry and tuff. The atmosphere was was really nice. The seating was very comfortable and the decor is very appealing. All that mattered was, My daughter had a nice time being surrounded by her family on birthday. I myself would not recommend this place. It is too expensive to have the problems that we encountered.

Stella van buren looks nice till you try the food or deal with the service. Ossobuco tasted like flavorless pot roast and my wife’s pasta was clumped as if it was sitting for an extended period of time. The “spicy fettuccine” literally tastes like oil and pepper flakes. This could of all been overlooked if it wasn’t for the horrendous service, it seemed since we didn’t order alcohol immediately we were seen as a “less valued” table and would see our waitress once every 15-20 mins. I chose this place for our anniversary dinner due to the high reviews, but all I got in return was bad food, bad service, and having to pay for parking. Save yourself some money and go anywhere else.
