Ike's Love and Sandwiches

I've eaten at Ikes at least 20 times and only sandwich ive had is the Jamie Syrewich. I don't know if i feel shame or pride because of that. Recently I got wheat bread instead of sourdough for the first time because diet things, and it was great also. The sandwich has some yellow bbq sauce on it that just hits different.

Went to this Ike’s for an early dinner to get my favorite the Damon Bruce on Dutch crunch ! I ask if I could add “ the sauce “ and she knew I was speaking of their Dirty Sauce, being in the culinary industry good service and a clean establishment is top tier, they made our sandwiches ( the bread was a little under toasted ) BUT they were still delicious ! We will be back soon ! Thank you ladies !

A little pricey but their sandwiches are second to none

Me and the little bro always come here when we have the chance. Basically the code word is “sandwich”…and that basically means Ike’s. That’s how great these sandwiches are, when somebody says they’re feeling a sandwich you think Ike’s love and sandwiches.🥪

First visit. The menu was a bit daunting at first glance, but after careful perusing we managed to pick a sandwich. Our pick: The Matt Cain. Let me tell you, that was one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. The bread is something to rave about....that bread was heavenly. The gentleman whom worked the register was one awesome dude. Very energetic, happy and helpful. The restaurant was well maintained and the decor was eye catching. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it. We will return. WE, as in my Son and I.

I accidentally ordered the wrong kind of turkey and Iris, the store manager gladly remade it for me, even though I tried to pay she wouldn’t let me. Best sandwich I’ve ever had an amazing Customer Service as well.

A treat of a sandwich. More pricey but they deliver on the quality. I ordered the Matt Cain and it was great. Dutch crunch bread, plenty of meat, with the sauce makes it worth the purchase. I remember getting Ike's in Arizona 3 years ago, which is why I was eager to come back. It did not disappoint.

Best deli in Modesto. Ikes was a San Francisco institution in 2008, then word got out and they quickly expanded all over NoCal. Delicious bread, fresh toppings and unrivaled vegan/vegetarian options. Service with a smile; good people work here. Love this place!

Loved their sandwiches so far I've tried the Modesto special and nicely toasted. There are so many variations and favorites that I must try most of them. A now good spot for sandwiches. As always keep exploring your adventure of foodies.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches! I had the Paul Rueben’s and my girlfriend had the Falling For Ike sandwich, both of them were so good! I’ve been here a few times over the years but I’ve really slept on this place. May prepared our sandwiches and they were perfectly made.

I’ve visited this sandwich shop a few times now, and the service is always outstanding—efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Today I tried their classic BLT, and it was phenomenal—the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the tomatoes added a refreshing burst. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with plenty of natural light streaming in. It’s a relaxing spot for a casual meal.

The pricing was a bit expensive, so I wouldn't personally make this a regular place, but definitely plan on having again.

I eat with my eyes first, so I really appreciate the photos. The rest of the shop is decorated with cool lunch boxes. I ordered the #599. The Graffiti Petey. On sour dough. The bread was so soft and fresh. The sandwich was perfectly warmed, so the pepper jack was melted. The wing sauce was sweet with just a hint of a spicy tingle. The staff was friendly and efficient. They greated me at the door and the counter. The shop was clean, including the restrooms.

Four years ago I ordered the Paul Reubens, and did a review about how it was a great sandwich. Today I still go to Ikes because it's that good. The staff was friendly back then and they're even friendlier now. Try a sandwich with the halal chicken and honey mustard its... *chefs kiss*

My cousin Meg is making everyone in the family go vegan. I heard this place had vegan options so I thought I would give it a shot. I had the Panther which has vegan chicken and it was freaking delicious. The flavors are good, probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. (Side note: not everything in my sandwich was vegan, I just wanted to try the meat, but you can get a sandwich where the whole thing is vegan).

Large dinning area. Food is great, I like they have a nice selection of Vegan and Vegetarian options.

Underrated deserves more love. My to go to Sandwich 🥪 Place. I'm planning on trying all their Sandwiches. Got it pack with ingredients so juicy and flavorful. I love how they cut the Sandwich in half great for sharing, portion size control, or getting a look at that cross section.

Ike's sandwiches are so great. I love a good sandwich and I'm usually going to some other sandwich store and it's so nice to have Ike's to compare because they're sandwiches are fresh and there's so many to choose from and they taste so great so finger licking good! I highly recommend that you go in there and try one of their delicious sandwiches You won't be disappointed. Friendly staff clean and very spacious and fun for kids in the whole family.

Sandwiches were great, but hard to find a clean table even with very few customers in the restaurant.

The cashier was very nice and helpful in helping me choose the sandwich choices. I got the Hunter, it was delicious.

The sandwiches are pretty darn good, but pricey. The dining room and exhibition kitchen always appear to be in shambles, like they just can't keep it clean. Every time I go in to the place I almost leave because it never smells like food, and reeks of dirty mop water and Simple Green. Which is why I always buy to-go. The staff are personable, but far from professional; from appearance to handwashing I would recommend some training and coaching. Overall the food is good, but there's lots of room for restaurant-wide improvement.

Ratio seems off maybe it was just my sandwich but my husband had the fully loaded sandwich with roast beef that was also skimpy where it mattered. We tried the onion rings and jalapeño poppers, they were ok. Onion rings seemed a bit soggy or doughy and lacked any crunch. The poppers were a bit better in terms of crunch but not worth the calories or ordering again. Additionally, my sandwich was a bit sloppy and hard to eat and I was fine just eating half as they are large. Glad I ordered pesto on the side as this sandwich was filled lettuce and not much flavor. Average food sandwich dining experience, with an above average price tag on sandwiches, with nice service.

Asked the lady behind the counter, she stated, "They didn''t come with the Hella cheap meal deal." Their printed adverisement shows that it does. So much for the perfect fathers day lunch. Update 04/13/20 Ordered sandwiches using the Ike's app and for the second time they did not deliver drinks or potato chips even though they were paid for.

I was disappointed that I couldn’t dine in like I can in other restaurants now. I had to eat outside and was constantly having to anchor down my bag, napkins, etc. I would love to come back where I can have the full restaurant experience. The sandwich was delicious 😋! I had the Matt Cain with the Dutch Crunch bread. I plan to come back so I can at least give a better review.

Very disappointed to say the least, I had the Tony Soprano sandwich and would think Tony would be insulted to have his name on such a sub par sandwich! Don't get me wrong the sandwich was good but for the price and lack of meat get outta here!!! This place is way too hyped up for what you get. I would much rather support The sandwich Shop on Kansas--it's local and blows this place out of the water anytime!

If you like soggy sandwiches, then Ike's Love & Sandwiches is the place for you! While I do enjoy the EXTREMELY large menu options, the sheer amount of sauce that's applied to literally every single sandwich is revolting and ruins the meal. I've eaten at this location a total of 6 times and each time was generally the same outcome: A sandwich with huge amounts of potential, lost to a sauce bath. A proper change in management from someone who knows how to manage not only their employees, but portion size and quality as well would make a great start. Generally speaking all of the ingredients to each one of the different sandwiches I tried were fresh. The bread had a nice flakey crust while the interiors were soft and delicious. All of the meats have always tasted fresh and rather delicious as well.. It's the extreme excess of sauce that drives this potentially high review down to a measly 2 stars. In closing, I'm not going to say avoid this restaurant. Some people may like their sandwiches through a straw. However, if you're like me and prefer to eat your sandwich the right way, then be sure to tell them to hold the sauce, or ask for it in a small to go container.. I'll give it a few months and try again.

Found this place, went online to check it out and saw a $5 off first purchase. Put in all my info and signed up, got the email telling me I would receive $5 off with the next 24hours. Then I go to make my purchase using multiple platforms, no coupon code, signing in doesn’t work. Can’t figure out how to get my $5 off and just frustrated and don’t even care to order any more. Not a fan of false advertising or making it impossible to use a discount. Adios ✌🏻… UPDATE: Flash forward a month later and I’m still getting spammed with marketing emails after unsubscribing multiple times. Ike’s, I bet your sandwich’s are great, but please get your technology straight. 😮‍💨

We stoped her to grab a bite to eat and we asked for a menu and got ignored twice by a young woman we brushed it off she then took our order and had a stank face the entire time and then went to the side standing there with her arms crossed not doing anything as her co worker were working. she messed up a simple order each time we went up to let her know and try and fix it she tried lying and denying the fact she messed up and stated arguing with us over avocado she forgot. She wouldn’t give us her name and so we left. we later called in to speak to a manager and we tried to be understanding but the manager kept cutting us off on the phone asking why we didn’t just talk to her in store it ended up being a point less phone call. Only one there that actually tried helping out was a young man who was very kind who did try and accommodate us as well as he could. We tried to be kind and understanding thinking maybe she’s just having a bad day but the attitude we were greeted with just got worse to the point that we couldn’t even sit down and enjoy our meal.The customer service provided my the manger and worker was horrible.

Ordered a spiffy tiffy over the phone but was given a turkey sandwich………… For those who don’t know, the spiffy has halal chicken, pesto, mushrooms, pepper jack and provolone… it does not have turkey…. The turkey sandwich I got was dismal to say the least. There was also barely any meat, lol subway gives more than this for less the price. Such a shame, I’m a true Ike’s fan from when I lived in the bay and the experience at this location is just not giving…….. Hope this review helps fix that.

I don't understand the hype. I got the sandwich with "thinly sliced prime rib" - the meat was more like shredded - no slices. And it tasted like it had been microwaved. The sandwich also contained onion rings which were soggy and gross. My partner got the sandwich with salami, roast beef, and something else - it was all gristle. The positive is that the bread was nice. Other than that, I feel ripped off for spending $25 for 2 bad sandwiches. I'm used to The Sandwich Shop - that's quality!
