We ordered thru drive thru, service was great and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Our order was exact which is pretty rare for a drive thru. And the food was delicious and very filling.

I'm reading all this negative comments, but I love the hamburgers they are cooked old fashioned style and the fries they were the best. We come all the way from Odessa just for your burger and fries.

I have come to this place since I was a child. Howard's is one of those old fashioned mom and pop burger joints. I drive from out of town just to have one of their icecream cones (which is btw the best icecream ever) and delicious burgers.

They have the best food and fountains drinks. Loved this place since highschool. They always took care of us. Still do till this day!

It's a great place to eat and get delicious ice cream 🍨. They also have drive threw. A must stop if in the area.

I luv this place!!! Been going since 2013 and I just can't get enough of it. Everything is cooked after you order so there could be a little wait time...but it's worth it for the hot and delicious food that they serve you in the end...I'll stop in every chance I get

one of the very few orginal monahans restraunts the staff is friendly and funny not to mention quick with the orders and getting them out. The hamburger is one of my favorites the meat is nice and juicy and fresh. The fries is out of this world they taste great and the basket is full of them which is great most restruants wont give you so many fries for such a great price. If you want a great burger for the right price then howards is the place. I always recommend this great restraunt to my friends and family to go eat when they pass through monahans.

An absolute throwback to great American burgers with incredible food. I got a bacon double cheese, with everything and it was hands down one of the BEST burgers I have had. The chili cheese fries are also a HUGE HIT. Be caring ordering the Large, this place gives portions that will test your limit but not your wallet. Super fresh, incredibly friendly staff, and made to order with is good ol’ hometown love! Thank you everyone at Howards, yall are killing it!

I had the double meat double cheese burger with mustard and it was large, hot and well stacked. It's a bigger burger than you get at Ft. Stockton. I always have my burgers at locally owned burger shacks and never eat at the fast food chains because these shack burgers are so much better and I want them to stay in business. Their large whole jalapenos were so good . I love mine SPICY HOT and these were also crisp. No jalapeno is as hot as in the past, but these had a bite. Thank you Howard's for your special service and real homemade momma-made burgers. See ya next time I'm nearby.

Most food is delicious, chili dogs are the bomb! Burgers are good, catfish was a little burnt but still tasted good. Very popular local spot so this place is so busy no matter what day it is. You are better off calling ahead and going there 20 minutes later to pick up your order. I have never eaten inside so I can't tell you about that. Everything was priced well, you will get a good meal for your buck. Highly recommend.

I got the bacon cheeseburger and it was really good my boys got the chicken strip meal and they didn't like the chicken nor did I as it had no flavor. My husband got the green chili burger and he liked it, said the chilis had a kick lol. Onion rings were good but the grease needed changed they were really dark in color. I would eat there again but not the chicken.

Chicken strips were a bit disappointing cause they were almost Like eating dry rubber that had been covered in flour an half cooked an very soggy. The burgers tho... juicey, thick patty, fresh veggies, and nice toasted buns. The service is usually always amazing but the day I got the chicken strips was totally different for some reason. I told them I wanted 3 chicken strips an medium cutlet fries an they put me down for a special which was a kids special😑 so I went ahead an accepted it hoping that the chicken an fries would be worth the hassle an rival the burgers. I was sadly disappointed. I meant to grab pictures but I work in the oilfield so I had a lot of more important things on my mind. I do recommend getting fried jalepons an bacon on a double cheeseburger. If you like cheese fries I recommend you tell them you want actual cheese an not nacho cheese cause it totally ruined the fries an they put way to much cheese on my curly fries. It was like asking if I could have some fries with my cheese. Avoid cheese fries an chicken strips an this place is amazing. If they change to possibly a bit thinner strips or possibly a double batter routine an cooked longer with a lot better seasoning I'd think they would be doing awesome with them to. Overall it's pretty good place to eat and has a friendly environment with polite staff

Forget the Corporate hamburgers! Howards was fast efficient and friendly. When in Monahans on business I have to stop and get me one of their juicy hamburgers and delicious fries. So much better than the chains on the interstate.

I've eaten there many times and the food is consistently good, especially for Monahans. Walking in to Howard's is sort of like going back in time. Not a whole lot has changed since the 60s.

The girl at the counter was friendly. I had the steak sandwich, it was alright. The onion rings were the best part of my meal. I also ate a bite of my friend’s Texas toast and that was really yummy!

It's an ok place. The food is good. The prices are reasonable. The drive thru and parking is a little wonky. The dine- in experience is mediocre but not a big deal to locals as it has that old fashioned Ma Pa feel to it. Staff is pleasant. The BBQ burgers and milkshakes are nice. A regular hang out for teenagers. In addition to the drive thru and dine in, there is a walk up window option for ordering. Parking is limited and awkward to navigate as the folks from the drive thru have to pull all the way around to.wait for their orders. I'm not sure if orders may be called in for a more speedy pick-up but most likely it is.

Love the burgers, but the wait for the food is ridiculous. Every time I go I know I’m going to have to wait over 20+minutes (on a good day). I don’t see how as there is never that many people!!! The food is delicious though.

It was ok didn't wow me like people from around here (maybe because I'm not from here) as much as a burger and fries were, i got the jalapeno double meet w/fries came to like $9 was so NOT worth it. Burger King burgers are way better. Even the girl at the window was unconvincing. Fries where like... Regular lol. Save ya money go elsewhere.

So disappointed, I thought this place was going to be really good. It was just mediocre. I am pretty sure my vegetables were frozen. They made my hands cold thru the bun.

What’s the point of a drive through if I still have to wait 10min and go grab my food from the window.

I have been calling for 30 min and it's been busy and went in to order since its busy to be told they are to busy so they can only take drink orders.....it's really the usual here in Monahans TX there's not many restaurants that can keep up the business judging from what I grew up around.

The place is run down compared to what it was. They were out of vanilla mix for the ice cream and the chocolate was too cold, just solid ice milk,and tasteless it was just a total mess.

Waited 45 minutes for 2 burgers .They completely understaffed !!! Monahan's is not a big town but with other competition you would think that they would be on top of customer service I would give this a complete thumbs down and Visually the building is disgusting it is so outdated I will never go there again.

Tried to eat here for the first time tonight. Walked out after 10 minutes because the girl at the counter was too busy flirting with a group of high school kids in front of me who were not interested in ordering anything by the time I walked out.

I've tried to eat here several times. Out of the times I've eaten here, more times it's been bad. Service seems good, but someone in the back cooking seems to be on vacation. If you order anything that needs to be fried(onion rings, chicken strips, steak fingers, ext.) It will be burned beyond eatability most of the time.

Not a good burger place. These reviews are wack. The food is Nasty. The tea tastes like it was made days ago. The girl taking orders answers everything with "I Don't Know ". Did I mention the tea is absolutely terrible. The tacos consist of cold, wet, mushy beef at the bottom of a shell that tasted like it was out of date from a box. One bite and I was done.

Just can't find a good burger place in Monahans. Was told 10 minutes the lady that took my order was incompetent, rude, and doesn't look at you when your speaking to her. It's not my fault she didn't make good life decisions. Even though I was extremely nice she never called my number so I can get my order . I saw others getting thier orders no problem . I went inside and there it sat , she ignored me and went to answer the phone this old lady saw that and retrieved my food and apologized. This is the reason why I want fast food places automated with Artifical intelligence. Oh the idea of removing the weight of humanity from handling our food not that all humans are this way just most of the minimum wage earners that want to make me feel alienated and hated because of the situation theyre in. Howard's you need to control your workers how you stay in business with Burger King now down the road Im starting to wonder so ,you may want to tell your workers that the customer is the life blood that help pay the bills.

I’m giving it a one star because first off the cashier is straight up rude! It was a huge inconvenience for us to come in and even more an inconvenience for her to get us refills and a cup of gravy. It’s beyond ridiculous that you guys charge refills for your dine in customers.

The absolute most grease I have ever seen served on anything. . the bun was soggy from grease. Both bathrooms were out of order. Not my idea of a good burger at all. If You like grease, this is the place for you.

The shrimp was bad. Couldn't even chew it. She did acknowledge that the shrimp went bad then they got upset because I asked for my money back or if I could place a different order while placing the different order mind you my sister had eaten some of the coleslaw that comes with the Shrimp Basket I see her putting the three small coleslaws back in the fridge gross I will never eat there again ever I prayed for the burgers but they still didn't go down the way they should have said to say this used to be a favorite spot so if you get sick today you know why if you ate shrimp
