From the lobster bisque to the calamari to the clams on the half shell to the steamers to the tuna to the ribs, steak, veggies and twin lobster tails, excellent food. Service by Emma was superb. The boats coming and going and the atmosphere made to an end of a great day.
This is my favorite place to eat when I'm in Montauk (and I'm there quite often.) It's quick, easy, inexpensive and the food is GREAT. Plus you get to eat right on Montauk Harbor. Just watch out for the Gulls. They'll get your food if you aren't careful.
Very cool! Never been to Montauk before this visit and was picking up lobster for my boyfriend’s family and it was a great place with a lot of interesting culinary products!
It's part of the experience being "outeast" good food! Lively little square! It's a destination away from the hussle of town. Bring ur wallet 100$ bucks goes quick with four mouths! "A good idea "to pack a cooler full of beverages,it will save u at least 20$! The drive and sceneries are part of the experience take "old Montauk"highway as well to enjoy the views!
The food here was Exceptional! We had simple fare - Lobster Mac & Cheese (the BEST I ever had) & a Burger which was cooked & dressed to perfection, of excellent prime meat! Their Chef this year gets a 5 Star Rating from us! We saw plates laden with Fish Tacos served beside us of which their recipients clearly ravished! Can’t wait to return!
I think the sushi bar and let me just tell you, it was DELICIOUS. It tasted fresh and it was VERY tasty. I ordered 10 rolls, and it only took about 10 minutes. The workers here were very friendly as well. Overall, I will definitely come back here to try their sushi again.
if you like lobster, fresh seafood ~ this restaurant for you. I highly recommend to eat at the second floor probably book a table for a dinner and enjoy gorgeous sunset. This location has a lot of boutiques, cute stories and nice marina. Delicious lobster and good wine list
Great view of the harbor, this place is the spot to watch boats and yachts sailing by. The seafood was fresh, we had a lobster 🦞and it was absolutely lovely.
Fish and Chips were excellent and fresh. Calamari were good too. Fish Tacos were spicy not very large portion. Mussels in Wine sauce and tomato were ok too.
One of the prettiest spots in America! No matter what time of year, Spring Summer or Fall, grab a table on the corner that juts into the inlet and watch the fishing and pleasure boats sail in with their catch. Gosmans chowder is exceptional. A large, steaming cup, add some Tabasco to spice it up, enjoy! This year, a cup knocks in at a pricey $8. Kind of exorbitant, but when you enjoy it after a nice free outdoor concert in Gosmans green, and take in the free views, it's a very worthwhile splurge. No kids under 16 allowed upstairs.
Love eating there. Fresh fresh beautiful relaxing view staff friendly. Also one of the kids dropped her wallet in the water and the owner of inlet restaurant radioed a boatsmen friend and sure enough they got it out of the water. Her dad just gave her $20 she felt so bad. But hooray worked out great Thanks again Catherine
1 of 2 favorite restaurants we make sure to go to when come for getaway. Staff been great.Food is great-at Sit down restaurant. Beautiful views. Tiramisu here is #1
Great atmosphere and food! We chose to be seated outdoors where the breeze was pleasant and it was shaded. Loved eating lunch while watching the boats come and go. The staff is very thoughtful and accommodating. Will definitely recommend and return!
This outside window service is excellent. We had the tuna BLT and The fried shrimp. Both were excellent
Delicious dishes, you get to enjoy with a beautiful view! In the Top side kids are not allowed. In the lower level everyone is welcome. Totally recommend it
What a view! We decided to come here after a few hours drive from downtown Manhattan and what a treat... the food was amazing, the view of the sea from where we sat was exceptional and even the weather was perfect to be outdoors
The best fish and chips I've had in the past 5 years. Cod was fried to perfection and the fries were so great.

Plenty of seating and great view. Large bar and comfortable outside dining. Food is excellent! Portions are modest - if you have a big appetite, you are going to want an appetizer.
Nice food-court style waterfront area, although tight. Average food for the value. Beware the agile seagulls, they will snatch your food in a blink, even while carrying your food tray from the bar window to a table. There is always someone going back to reorder and wait all over again.
went for lunch. the seafood diavolo beat my expectations with tasty sauce and the waiter/service was decent. just high priced for what it is so minus one star for that. didnt get drinks so cant comment.
Topsiders is a great spot, elevated right next to the inlet on the water. You get a fantastic view of the ocean, inlet and harbor while you eat. One of the best part is that children arent allowed and they don't play loud music so you can really sit and relax and enjoy your dinner.
Great location. Great, friendly service. Good food. If you're looking for a traditional Montauk experience, Gosman's is one of the places to visit. The grounds offer great food and shopping options to satisfy a variety of interests.
Food was good, I didnt feel like the portions matched the prices though.....less food than I get at the place by our villa in Hampton Bays for same price. Nice location by the water though
I like this place better than the Restaurant. Tuna BLT was Cooked correctly, and the roll it came on was nice and soft. The sandwich didn't come with fries, you have to order sides separately which is where they get you.Overall great place and atmosphere for families, and good food comes with it!
Nice tables along the bay inlet. Mac and cheese, pulled pork tacos, and lobster roll were all great.

A great spot to get a quick bite or a cocktail by the water. Whether you get table service from the friendly staff, or order at the window, you get fresh seafood and sushi while dining outside enjoying the ambiance

Seafood the thing to have here...all good, albeit expensive. Landlubbers think twice about the $14 burger....worst ever. Makes $1 McDonald's burger seem high end. Can bring dog, tho. Feed him the burger.
Convenient spot to grab fast food on the water, however the lobster bisque was more like a meat sauce and made me extremely sick
The Fried food is pretty good. Just know all of it is frozen and none of it is fresh or local. That has changed recently. Ordered the “Seared Tuna BLT with Avocado” and it was terrible. The tuna was certainly not “seared” it was a SMALL and THIN slice of way over cooked dry tuna. The “avocado” on the sandwich was a tiny smear of guacamole it looks like. Over all the sandwich was terrible. Was with a party of 15 though and no one else had any issues (all fried food). The bang bang shrimp tacos were good!
Stopped by Gosman’s Clam Bar for the view which was fantastic. The lobster salad roll and crispy seafood combo were just okay. Disappointed to find out they don’t have their alcohol license yet, even though beer is still listed on the menu. Worth it for the scenery, but the overall experience was underwhelming.
Calamari 7/10 Blackened mahi mahi 9/10 Clam Plate 1/10 ( it's just fried bits from a bag) no bellys at all and no flavor, except the heavy corn breading
We wanted to go to the Topside, but was denied due to we have kids! Under 16 can't be up their. So we opted for the nice view / tables on the water. My wife's wine came out with lipstick on the rim. Our oysters were skinny and sad. My $44.00 Lobster Roll sandwich was ground lobster and a majority celery. Lobster bisque was cheesy I think...all in all we walked past The Dock and new we blew it not going into that place. Maybe tomorrow!?!?

Had the mahi-mahi tacos with french fries and fried clams. I can honestly say I’ve eaten better. The atmosphere is unbeatable being on the water. Too bad the food didn’t match the atmosphere for at least for what I had. The mahi was dry and a tiny strip about 3/4” x 3” per taco. The fried clams were totally tasteless don’t waste your money on them.

Beautiful view and nice people but it took so long to even get our order in. Even longer for the food to come out. We ordered something off the fathers day menu and we didn’t even get the dessert before we left. They did discount the soup we ordered but the fish and chips were bland and subpar. Sadly, I was not impressed. I expected better service and better food.
I like salty food, but the New England Clam Chowder was over the top salty and I couldn’t eat it. The fried clams only tasted like breading, no taste of clams. Disappointing on both dishes.
Service is friendly and efficient. Food is, sorry, horrible. The lobster roll was unbelievably poor. Who do they think they are serving? Folks that have never had a lobster roll before? The arrogance of the cooks. Also, the tuna was tasteless. It was served with an overload of soy sauce to cover the fact the the tuna was of poor quality. But the cost didn't reflect that.
The view is beautiful, server behind the take out was lovely. We ordered 1 lobster bisque and 1 New England Clam Chowder. Both were horrible. I can't tell which was worse. Both went in the garbage. Will head elsewhere for a meal. Sorry Gossmans.

Ordered a lobster roll - lobster itself was good, tasted alittle fishy but I’m used to it (if you know what I mean 😉). It was served on a martins potato roll, which really was detrimental to the experience and left me pissed off. $38 dollars for a lobster roll on a martins potato roll is ridiculous. Place should be avoided, I’d order the lobster roll but prepare to bring your own roll.
Disappointing! The fried seafood combo had literally 2 prawns, a piece of fish (which was quite tasteless), fries and lots of fried clams which was mostly batter, and none of it was warm. The lobster roll was ok, except you don't get a single chunk of lobster (like the really proper ones you would get in Maine or Cape cod) as this is all a mix of shredded lobster with lettuce and condiments... where are the pieces of lobster or claws??? Worst of all, the price is ridiculously expensive for what you get.

Portions are incredibly small. The sauce for the seafood fra diavolo was incredibly watery with no flavor and barely any seafood!. There was more garlic bread than seafood for $39.. Terrible! Oh, you will be rushed the minute you sit down! Their menu indicated seat limit of 90 minutes, but will try to rush you out of there in 30-40 minutes. I've been going there for 20+ years and I will no longer return! Arrogant for Gosmans to think there's no competition nearby! Oh and beware.. The cost of alcohol is staggering! What's next? Are you people going to charge for parking too?
Not the the Gosmans I know, things have change .I will miss gosmans . It was a place for great seafood..
Top 5 worst food we’ve had at a restaurant, ordered a ton of dishes each one was worse than the other. New England clam chowder was a disgusting brown with tons of herbs tasted terrible, the grilled shrimp was just pan seared and tasted terrible, the fried clams were all tiny bits of breading and no clams and tasted terrible, the hot dog was over cooked dry and a stale bun, the muscles were bland and tasted horrible, the salmon was neutral, the French fries were not bad, just really nasty food. Beautiful setting and quick service. Very upset that we wasted a meal here.
Way overpriced. It has potential for drinks as you watch ships pass, but don’t waste your time or money to eat here. Huge restaurant but had lots of open tables for good reason. Lobster: $40 snd wasn’t as advertised or ordered. Supposed to be 1.5lbs, but was more like a pound. Very over cooked. Meat couldn’t be separated from the shell. Dozen Mussels: 3-4 mussels were missing. Not a big deal if you’re paying $10-12 for a dozen, but it costs $20. Brought the shortfall to the attention of the waiter who was annoyed so he took his time to return with more. Had the audacity to ask ‘Really? You want 3-4 mussels’. Overall, great potential but failed miserably. Don’t think anyone cared.
Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The view was nice but that was the only nice thing about it. Their special of sword fish kabob was slimy and had small pieces of fish with vegetables while being completely over priced. They added so much sauce to it you couldn’t even taste the fish. The calamari was so oily and had a whole mix of fried peppers and fried jalapeños. They are completely over priced for the quality of food that you get here. Would rather get fast food to honest and I hate fast food!
This place is nothing like Gosmans Restaurant (which is great). We ordered fried platter - fried shrimp was very good but fried fish was chopped fish and tons of batter - waste of money. Fried calamari was oily and soggy. Lobster bisque had a weirdly spice and did not taste like bisque at all. Save your money and get pizza!
I went to the clam bar today, craving fried clams. Ordered the fried clam plate for myself and my 2 guests and was extremely disappointed. Barely tasted any clam through the breading. I grew up loving fried clams, have not had them in a while, and was so excited for them. What a let down.
