Huge turnaround The coffee is excellent as usual but now the staff is so friendly Thanks!!!
So happy to have found Jacks Great coffee and great people and vibe behind the counter
this coffee shop has made amagansett a very special location-- the oat meal is truly a power breakfast!
Was good coffee was fantastic and also the bagels were fresh and 😋😋😋
Very good coffee (ask for extra shot for cappuccino) good food
.One table.Stools.Better for take away
This place was phenomenal. They treat everyone like they are gold. I wouod recommend for everyone.
Jack's is perfect for a cappuccino and a plus is they play good music!
This place is definitely a must for those early morning days, I’d love stopping here in the mornings before getting my day going when I come to stay in my place on the East End. The staff is always super friendly and very accommodating, I have never had a bad experience with the staff or the customer service. The place is always clean and neat and I truly appreciate that, five stars I highly recommend this place.
Loved the coffee, oatmeal, and outdoor seating. But get here early because it gets very hectic and receiving my order took some time.
I recommend jacks stir brew coffee! the staff is super friendly, nice and they are also super fast with the orders great customer service! Not to mention the ambiance it’s very unique and different.
Fabulous coffee... Beat third wave experience in the Hamptons. Staff is friendly, quick, and thorough. Vegan donuts are an extra hit!!!
Really good coffee but I miss the days when you could watch the tourists scald their arms on the Navigation Light attached to the counter. Please turn it back to full power!
Everytime I go in it's great. They have more than coffee and the welcoming environment has you feeling like you are at home.
Very busy, but definitely worth the wait. Best black ice coffee I've had in years.
If you're in Amagansett for any period of time highly recommend taking a walk toJack's! Fun atmosphere and great coffee/espresso drinks!
Love their cold brew coffee and the fact that they always have vegan snacks in the case! We try to stop by any time we're in town!
I loved my honey cinnamon latte. They have good coffee. That’s all I know.
Great coffee! They use an unconventional brewing technique that imparts a more nuanced flavor to their coffee.
been loyal to jacks since they first opened in 2010(?). happy jack + mighty muffin are the go-tos!
Best coffee around! Excellent customer service. Family oriented.
Jack's latte (honey cinnamon latte) was AMAZING. Worth the wait and money. Loved my biscuit breakfast sandwich to even tho it took a long time to make. I asked for a side of homemade jam. Delish!! Going back for sure.
I asked for a latte with cinnamon and they did a good job making it. The quality of the coffee is better than other local places. I will come back here again soon .
Love this coffee shop. Their iced matcha is delicious and they are dog friendly!
At the Amagansett location there was a wonderful young lady, I believe her name was Mishka, and she served me so kindly! I had the best Happy Jack (over ice with oat milk) that I've ever had from this store!! Definitely going back to tell her thank you! A must try this season!!
Absolutely loved their coffee!! I got the honey cinnamon latte with oatmilk and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I love all the vegan options they had to offer. Very yummy. I was excited to try the black out donut and it tasted like a normal non vegan donut. Overall, very well worth the price.
I was really happy with my espresso and the counter service, as well as the price. Didn't see anything to complain about, some of the reviews here seem pretty harsh based on my own experience.
Jack’s is definitely the best coffee I’ve had.
Good spot for bakery and latte, fresh items and always packed - I would say workers seem a bit overwhelmed and the space is a bit small for the size of customer base and operations but overall I would go back to grab to-go items
Great coffee and menu is fun. Good things to eat but limited. Very busy in summer months and coffee's are pricey but good quality.
UPDATE: we decided to give jacks on more try and in spite of our previous disappointment, this time our servers couldn’t have been more pleasant and the coffee (as well as the matcha) were truly amazing! Really pronounced flavor just the way I like my coffee. Two shots were more than enough in my iced latte. I guess everyone is entitled to a bad day every so often. So from one star to five stars! Best coffee I’ve had in a long while. Thank you Jacks! Long wait. Rude employee. After waiting on a long line we greeted the counter person with a smile and ordered a green hornet which is a menu item with its own chalkboard (see pic) and we were told they don’t make it anymore. We then asked for an iced matcha tea latte and were told they couldn’t make that either bcuz they were out of matcha tea. No attempt was made at offering us anything comparable and the place was mobbed so we walked out bewildered. Employee seemingly could care less. We decided to spend our money at a place that actually deserved it. First and last time at Jacks Stirred Brewed Coffee. This was the Amagansett location btw.
Two words: Delicious. Coffee. Their coffee is 100% organic and you can tell. As their sign says, they only pull triple ristretto shots in their espresso drinks and it shows - rich and smooth with minimal acidity. The iced Stella was particularly refreshing with the summer heat. I’d say this is more of a grab and go coffee joint, as there is minimal seating. If you’re looking for a place to sit and chat, you’ll likely want to go elsewhere.
Great coffee and donuts, but what kind of coffee shop this size doesn’t have a bathroom??
Good coffee way to many ppl and there forgetting it's a quaint neighborhood place
Rough service, cold brew is just ok but the avo toast was delicious.
A tad pretentious, but solid coffee for this area. Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz
Coffee and food are good. The servers can be nicer tho
The Coffee is superior, 5 stars. The shop is hectic, unfair conditioned and geared to have you buy your coffee and go. That's unfortunate, but you won't find a better 🍵 of brew on the East End
Pretty good cafe. Nothing to write home about.
Great coffee ! They have plenty of fun options too and snacks and coffee beans to take home.
Great coffee (possibly the best out here). So glad they’ve decided to open this shop in amagansett
Best espresso in the area. It would be a great addition to have ceramic cups for people that want to have their drink of choice on premises. Staff is friendly and they have a good selections of juices, energy bars and pastry.
I ordered a coffee and an egg sandwich. Both were fine and what you would expect-nothing amazing but not bad either. The sandwich was on the smaller size. Overall good but definitely overpriced.
The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is totally fine. It’s not the best you’ll get for the price, but it’s convenient and quick and above average. Would highly recommend over some of the others in the area
A bit crowded and felt like an assembly line. The staff were helpful and tried to move the line through as quickly as possible. They don't have a restroom which is a definite negative for a coffee shop. I did enjoy the coffee, was expensive like everything else in the Hamptons.
Good coffee which is the most important thing. People give out about the service, but really the clientele are worse.
Jack’s has great coffee and breakfast. Their cold brew coffee was some of the best I’ve had. The homemade biscuits are great and make for an awesome breakfast sandwich. The donuts were good too. There were lots of vegan friendly options and unique “local” coffee drinks. Things were a bit pricey, but it was worth it.
Trendy place with good selection of sandwiches, coffee and snacks. A pity that it doesn't have more tables, the region needs urgently a good place to have breakfast. We couldn't find any other place and had to stand a long time before getting a seat.
Expensive for the quality. There are better places for coffee nearby. And the people behind the counter seem fundamentally unhappy to be there. Kinda sad. But very busy - so, I'm probably wrong.
Terrible cappuccino and not a great cream and sugar to coffee ratio in their cold brew. Pastries are okay. If a barista doesn’t know what a dry cappuccino is, they should just ask, rather than burn the milk. This place would not last a week in the city.
The stars are for much improved staffing this summer. There’s better coffee and food in Amagansett, but they’re open at 6 am and the service is great.
The people who work there are nice but i thought the regular drip coffee to be tasteless. I'm not out there enough to say I'd try again but If I were-I would.
The place was really small and the coffee was meh... It was so hot and not conducive if you kids or a stroller. Probably will stick to Starbucks.
Great coffee but not cheap. Definitely geared for the city people
It has a lot of coffee options which is nice and I ordered a Capuccino with almond milk that was delicious. I found it expensive and not that pretty to stay. It doesn’t have a restroom🫤
Coffee is good but they do not let their customers use the bathroom.
Bye bye bye. JT wouldn’t even be able to make the staff happy in this joint.
bougie flat bodyless coffee that resembles hot bitter mop water
Cute decor, decent coffee, but any place that serves food and drink and refuses to allow customers use the restroom to wash their hands is a public health hazard. It's also simply rude and inhospitable to the people doing business with you.
It is not a bad place and coffee is good but cashier and the barista were very rude. Cashier made face and talked with an attitude of “I hate my life, I hate this job, I hate you.” Never coming back to this place.
The cashier who took my order was very unfriendly. I have had her twice now and would love to tell management that she is not made for a customer service position. I asked to speak with the manager and was directed to the shift lead McCaila who was slightly more helpful with a credit that had to be returned to my gift card. The coffee is good, but the service is not.
TERRIBLE DURING HIGH SEASON Different experience every single day. No consistency!!! Private chefs and we worked East Hampton summer of 23. Got coffee almost every single morning for five months, never the same. People, staff and guests are just grouchy. We came here from Beverly Hills and the people of NY are just surly and annoyed. We did the online order for pickup a lot of times to beat the line of 50 people or the door. They have you buy the balls BECAUSE unless you want to drink the sirens brew (Starbucks = 🤢) you are stuck with Jack's. Some days it was good but it was by far the exception than the rule. There was this one day when some pretty White 30 something American woman with tats and Long black hair (not from the Caribbean) was "The boss", and I got the sense that she was the winter help that knows how to crank out. I want to say it was around the 4th of July and she was AWESOME! That would be the only day I ever saw her. My wish to you is you get her otherwise you have to roll them dice and just like Vegas, the house is the only winner.
My coffee spilled over from the wind and they wouldn’t give me a refill. And with a nasty attitude. Stay away. Not nice people.
Terrible service. A coffee shop with tables has no restrooms.
Good coffee, horrible food. Also dirty inside
One shot in the lattes? Cmon now. I need three coffees to start my day.
Terrible service. The entire store is plastered with “order ahead skip the line.” Ordered pick up 30 mi ago and said ready by 255, show up waited until 3:05 and stood in line to check on my order. They lady told me they just ignored my order as there was a line in the store…there is always a line and if ordering ahead only works if there is no line, what’s the point? The attitude was worse of an f-off and that’s the most annoying thing. I would give it 0 stars but can’t.
I went to Jack’s to get an oatmeal. It was listed as a four grain oatmeal: millet, buckwheat, steal cut oats, quinoa. But when I opened the container it was nothing but rolled oats mush - look at the photo attached!!! Why would you sell something that doesn’t match the description? Not to mention it tasted really bad, like absolute mush.
Only one shot in lattes and cappuccinos yet you pay more than any other place… makes zero sense. Below average. Genuinely do not understand the hype.
This coffee taste like toilet water and the people that work there are super unprofessional. No thank you.
Stop for coffee ☕️ cause happen to love it. Unfortunately the cashier approached was no the friendliest. I was with my daughter and husband on line, the cashier insinuate my daughter took a candy box and ask me who’s name was on the credit card that I was paying with? my husband was right next to me! Sadly made me feel I do not want to come back.......
I went to this coffee shop since is the only cafe —other than Starbucks — than sells matcha lattes, unfortunately it was a really bad experience. When I saw my matcha i immediately knew it was cheap matcha; good quality matcha is very pigmented even when you use a little amount and it has a nice earthy taste, this was a very light pale green and all I could taste was the milk and it was also very grainy, clearly the barista didn’t know how to make matcha, since you have to have certain temperature, sift it and mix it for a decent time so the lumps don’t form. This might be a good coffee place, but they really need to up their matcha.
For the coffee, I would give 5 stars. Great taste, pretty good. Unfortunately what completely ruins the experience is the attitude of the people at the counter. I had been looked with evil eyes because I didn't leave a tip on my credit card - which I left cash BTW... Another time one of the girls made as mistake and kept lecturing us on the order, as we were the wrong ones, until she finally understood that she made the mistake. Then she didn't even say sorry and slammed our new latte on the counter. I am seriously appalled on these establishments that serve food products, are located in a nice area, have high end market target, but employ sub-par employees. Does the management know? Do they think that we will continue going there even if the employees treat us this bad? In my case Mr or Mrs manager, I will not.
Dear Rude server, When a customer asks for lite ice, your response shouldn’t be, “Well you can go over and take it out with a fork.”
Probably the worst service I have ever had. Ever. Took 10min to get coffees, which were not the correct sizes. Then when I stood waiting for my food, it took another 15min. The order was never given to the food prep crew. Awful management not regulating simple orders. 10min stop took 40min.
Nothing quick about this quick serve place. Rude staff, stuff listed on the menu, is actually not on the menu, hot inside while waiting 20 for a breakfast sandwich, would not let my toddler use the bathroom, which only happened because of long wait. Hate leaving reviews like these, it just terrible.
Very rude baristas and bad overall service. The iced coffee was decent but they also only filled the large about 70%
Rude employees. I went on a Saturday excited to taste the donuts and good coffee, but I encountered 3 RUDE women. Don’t know why people like that work there if they’re gonna have disgusting attitudes. So sad.
F for personality! The coffee is great, but after paying nearly 5$ for a cappuccino, they told me there was no bathroom. After telling them I wanted a refund, suddenly there was a bathroom...
I have a facial deformity and the two young ladies working today were eyeing each other when I was asking questions. I get this all the time but I guess I expected more from this place given its progressive outlook. Please do better. My day is ruined. And I feel I spent way too much on coffee and donuts here literally and d figuratively
Really bad matcha, paid $8 for it to have chunks and be grainy as well as super bitter. Female barista was obviously drunk and throwing coffee bags while giving me and my friends dirty looks for ordering coffee at a coffee shop. Go to blue bottle coffee ☕️ Instead
Staff know how to pour pre made cold brew, which is always good. Shame the hot coffee was undeniably awful and comes with a large side of useless customer service and passive aggressiveness.
$20 for two coffees and flat REFUSED access to bathroom. isn’t it a law that parker who serve food have public bathrooms? ridiculous and rude.
Upon entering I said hello... may I please.... then ordered a donut $3.65, muffin $5.99 and coffee $3.25. Then paid and said "thank you" no reply of your welcome. Then I realized I was not given a receipt. " I asked if i could please have it" ( no one was in line behind me) Mishka, the woman who took my order and rang me up appeared very annoyed, she grabbed for the receipt then smacked it down. I yet again said, "thank you, have a good day" still did not reply. Then a man behind the counter said "anything else" I replied "no thank you" as I put the sleeve on my coffee. "Ok then Happy Easter" he said. I replied "thank you but, i'm Jewish" his reply was "you are" I said "yes, I am it is Passover also." He replied "I know." I am truly offended by the staff and they are extremely overpriced.
It would get great ratings if they had a restroom 🚻 how do you have a food service business and not have a restroom for your customers ? we eat with our hands you know, at least have a hand washing station or rent a portable potty if you don’t want customers to use your restroom definitely reporting the county health dept. for no use of the restroom, public RR are located nearby
The ladies working were so sweet but the iced matcha latte was really terrible…. There were clumps of the matcha at the bottom and it tasted so sour and bitter…. So disappointing bc I’ve had great experiences getting coffee and the staff is so nice but the iced matcha latte should not be on the menu 🥴
I love the coffee. The food. The staff. I love everything about Jack’s. However I order ahead to save time and 4 out of 5 times my order gets stolen from the pick up “shelf.” The staff is always understanding and remakes the order but it ends up taking 10 minutes to get someone’s attention to desperately explain the situation and then another 10 minutes to remake the order. So what was supposed to save time ends up taking triple the time and all because they don’t have a more secure pick up process for pre-orders which seems like a simple solve. I truly love Jack’s I’m leaving this review in the hopes of reaching someone in management to help them fix this issue! 🙏
Waited for 45 minutes and didn’t get our order while others were served before us, went just left because we weren’t waiting any longer.
Ordered at 10:05. Order still not complete (11:18) for 2 coffees. People behind the counter suck and are rude.
This used to be one of my favorite coffee shops on the East Coast. Two years ago, I discovered how good the hot chocolate was at Jacks. I am lactose intolerant, so I struggle to find coffee shops that offer vegan hot chocolate. I visit The Hamptons once a year and I was so excited to stop by Jacks again! However, I was disappointed to find out that they changed their recipe, and it now includes dairy in the mixture. You can tell that it tastes like a powdered hot chocolate rather than a chocolate syrup. I wish they would bring back the old recipe.
They claim they don’t have a bathroom when it is actually locked and for staff only. Their coffee is disgusting and staff is really rude. Go to Il Buco cafe !! You will get a better coffee and a better treatment.
The coffee is good but the customer service is absolutely horrid. I tried , and I wasn’t the only one, and the workers just would look at you deadpan and not even try to be polite or sweet. Or smile. Never been more clear that that the workers at this place are miserable. Whoever handles employee management either needs to raise the pay so that the workers are less miserable, or tell teach them proper customer service. If you’re wondering why Jacks is not as big as Hampton Coffee out here, this is a main driver.
