Great place to eat, relax, bring your furry friend. Recently enjoyed same Lazy Dog location again with since family and friends for a little going away dinner for an employee and's Family member. Service was great, Staff was very helpful, food was delicious. Next time im bringing my dog and's sitting out in the patio.

Both times I went to two different locations, we had good service, food and drinks. We will definitely be back again. It’s pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I went in with my brother, to order wings to go. we waited for our order at the bar so I ordered a drink. the Coconut Pineapple Agua Fresca, so good! when our food finally came out I let someone know that I wanted to pay for my drink and the gentleman tending the bar said it was on him. that was so nice. I appreciated it and the wings and fries were amazing. even my brother said so.

First time here by myself. Very cool staff here. The manager on duty was sweet and very courteous. The servers are pretty dope too. Food was awesome, but the service here made it twice as good. Victoria, Diego, and Rich were the staff i made contact with ! Ty!

I've come here a few times now, and it's becoming a regular spot for Happy Hour Fridays. I like the atmosphere and the food. But specifically Katie, the server in the bar, and the service manager Jessica are both absolutely note worthy. The idea of a manager like Jessica caring for her customers as well as her servers are great stepping stones for a well ran restaurant. But the highlight was my server, Katie. She isn't just sweet. She is helpful, suggestive, and has a wonderful personality. She puts hope back in the world of Customer Service. I'm a home body and don't often get to go out, but for specific nights like these and I only know what I normally consume at home. She is not shy with giving me the opportunity to try new things, even if I'm not sure if I'll like them. This place is a diamond in the rough, and I hope these two ladies are treated so well they never lose their shine. Oh, the food and drinks are great too. Hot (or cold) and tasty as they come out. I always get the Edemome, no matter what beverage I get.

I like Lazy Dog's food but the service we got from Hailey... AKA Hailey's Comet😄 was EXCELLENT. She is 10/10! She double checked orders and made great recommendations! Very pleasant and checked on us just enough to make sure we were okay. I would come back just to sit in Hailey's area! Lazy Dog... Pay Attention! You have a first class employee here!

My husband wanted to stop here one Sunday so he could enjoy the football games while we ate. Honestly, I wasn't looking forward to it because I hadn't really enjoyed my experiences at the West Covina location. However, we were suprised with the lunch menu pricing, the food options, and the quality of the food. I ordered the soup and sandiwch combo with a tortilla soup and a grilled cheese and my husband had the half sandwich and salad combo with the turkey club and wedge salad. It was all very good and the vibe of the place was really nice too. It was fun, yet still chill for a football Sunday crowd - very enjoyable. It is located in the Montclair Plaza mall parking lot near the AMC that we frequent so we will definitely be going back for that lunch menu again!

Great dining in experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. The place was beautiful inside and outside. We got seated right away on a Wednesday night. Menu has so many awesome choices. Drinks were super delicious and beautifully created. The food was served hot timely and presentation was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and meals. Will definitely go back. Spent under $25 for a meal and beverage.

This visit 10/01/2024 Grilled Trout, this time. Everything on the entree plate was prepared perfectly. Service was good. Original visit Seared ahi was pretty good. I would have liked it a bit more rare than medium. $5 HAPPY HOUR margaritas was a plus. My dog had chicken and rice from the pup menu. Service was good. It was a great way to let traffic die down!

I love the way the restaurant is decorated and the fact that they take reservations! Everything we ordered was delicious. My boyfriend said that the bison burger was one of his new favorite foods. The diversity in the menu makes it hard to decide what to choose so I will definitely be back to try more!

This Lazy Dog is always a great spot the food is solid, the atmosphere is fun, and it’s an easy go-to for a night out. But what really made this visit stand out was the service at the bar from Celine. She’s attentive, professional, and always makes the experience enjoyable. Her timing is perfect, checking in right when you need something without hovering! and she gives excellenttttttt drink recommendations. The cocktails she makes are consistently delicious and clearly crafted with care. On top of her skill, she has such a friendly and approachable personality that makes you feel welcome every time. What a great place to have a meal. Service and food were phenomenal. I tried the bison burger, it was bit pricey, but it was worth it. Atmosphere is very modern and sociable.

I love that it's a dog friendly patio. The staff is very friendly, and the food is good. We went for lunch, we chose multiple appetizers and drinks. The happy hour has some great options. I've come before and spent way less, without as many drinks. Their chili mango margarita is definitely a favorite. While the hibiscus margarita is available on the happy hour menu. We went on a Tuesday, quiet, not too busy.

The food is always a hit at this location. I only order the Crunchy Chili Ahi Bowl. Had the blood orange beer, it was delicious. The service was rough as our waitress went on break and the stand-in looked confused. We sat at the bar at a table that backs up to the kitchen. It was very noisy. We will definitely choose the other side next time.

Had a great experience here with my family of 4 and we all really enjoyed our meal. The food tasted real and not processed and our server was so on top of it.

First time here and was really impressed at their menu. I had the lamb shank pot pie , which is seasonal, it is DELICIOUS! We also had the corn dogs, Cajun fries, and tried the veggie burger. Everything was great. The mimosa flight was a great deal, that huckleberry one was to die for. Very cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. I will definitely be back!

Simply superb. I tried multiple dishes and all were just exceptional. My waitress was very polite and courteous and funny and checked on me regularly... I even left and she put napkins over my glasses to make sure no one tampered with my glasses... Exceptional. Everything looks & smells clean. The only points off they get is that someone keeps coming into the restroom and doing graffiti. Why do people do these things to restaurants? Nevertheless, it's a great place to go and check out. Must try the cheese curds.

We went to Lazy Dog as a family (Party of six plus a toddler) snd found the food offerings expansive and delicious. The server(s) was exceptional! Waiting on a large party, especially one with Wee Ones can be difficult, but our server was attentive and responsive. Well Done!

Personally I think the dog area gimmick is a bit much. But hey, the food is really good and the servers are nice. Plenty of variety. From burgers and seafood to some middle eastern and Asian options. Good non alcoholic drinks. Prices are ok. Sweet potato tots are great.

I’m gonna say it straight out the gate…Lazy Dog is bomb and always consistent. I’ve personally never had anything bad here or dealt with any bad service. The quality of the food tastes like your daddy’s a chef and he’s cooking you a home cooked meal. I really love the retreat/getaway feel that they manage to bring out in their design elements. So rustic and mountainous! I had the chicken pot pie today with lettuce wraps, a bacon smoked old fashioned. We also ordered the Lemon grilled chicken. 🤤 Lazy dog is a common staple for me when I go out to eat because you get what you pay for. They also have a really cool monthly beer subscription program where you get their monthly beers and a glass. That subscription also gets you discounts at Lazy dog. For all you dog lovers out there, you can also bring your best friend 🐶 and sit and enjoy your meal with them in hand and they have dog meals on the menu. At the end of the day, I’m always satisfied when I eat out at Lazy dog….Happy Eating fam!!

I love taking my dog here. She enjoys seeing all the people and other dogs in the patio. Although she wishes they could pet her, but understands they are working, they can't. The food is delicious with always enough to take home at least half for another meal. Or two.

After having just thought the whole region was horribly remiss with customer service, I absolutely LOVE that I was wrong here. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Great greetings: manager came to greet us and welcome us a first time guests, kind staff who never had to be asked but made sure the experience was nice. Everything on point! Thanks so much! Came here with a buddy for brunch. We both had some breakfast food items and they were really good. The servers were very friendly and attentive. Zero complains, would definitely come back.

I love this place! This is only my second time being here, but the atmosphere is so fun and the service is so impeccable that I would definitely like to stop by more often when I'm in the area, particularly after an afternoon of shopping at the Montclair Plaza! The food is great, too - though, they changed their deviled eggs, and now you only get 4 instead of 6 (and for its current price, I don't think it's worth it). The chicken pot pie also needed a bit more flavor to it - had to add a sizeable amount of salt and pepper to the sauce to make it tastier. Queso Dip was very good though!

The burgers are too tall and they use toothpicks to hold them together. Toothpick burgers are a pet peeve of mine and I shouldn't hold it against them. Other than that, I had the bison meet loaf. It was just ok. Not bad, but not great. It was wrapped in bacon and I couldn't cut the bacon with the fork. It was messy when I ate it. This was not preferable.

Love Lazy Dog in Montclair. Steven was our server and he was great 😊 super chill, on top of everything, and just made the whole experience easy and fun. The steak was so good, cooked perfectly, and the chicken pot pie never disappoints. Straight up comfort food. The house beers are solid too. I’m in the beer club and it’s 100% worth it if you come here often. Good food, good drinks, good service. Always a good time here.

I had a deal for boho entrees. When I asked for one of the entrees to be packed to go, my server offered to let the order start cooking as I was finishing my other entree so it wouldn’t be sitting there. Very thoughtful of her. Ribs and umami fries were excellent. Rich in flavor and good texture. The manager also gave a small gift for visiting for the first time which I am grateful for. I will visit again soon.

What started off as an awkward encounter turned into one of the best dining experiences! When we first arrived and checked in, there was a misunderstanding with the host on our reservation time and the wait that followed. However, the General Manager noticed us waiting and stepped in before I even had to say a word. The GM then personally approached our table, apologized sincerely for the mishap, and offered an appetizer as a gesture of goodwill. She didn’t make excuses - she owned the situation, and her attention to details, honesty, professionalism, and kindness turned everything around. Honestly, she deserves a raise for how quickly and gracefully she handled it! The food was amazing as always. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Their edamame is my personal favorite appetizer, and the steak is always cooked perfectly. My kids absolutely love the cheese curds and fish & chips. I also loved that they’re currently doing a charity event with Habitat for Humanity, selling take home DIY gingerbread house kits for $7.50 with proceeds going to charity. It’s so refreshing to see a business that not only delivers great food and service but also gives back to the community. It felt good supporting a place that truly cares. Highly recommend Lazy Dog Montclair , we’ll definitely be back!

First time trying the Bison Burger 🍔: 5/5 Got the sweet jam on the side and tried it with fries…boy was the sweetness so delicious with the golden, toasted to perfection but super soft in the middle, fries. Francisco helped us and was awesome. He made us feel right at home. We brought our pup and sat outside. Felt pretty lucky, the manger turned on the fire pit for everyone outside as our food arrived. This is the first time that I had the chance to try Lazy Dog. I had the new Summer Market salad with added grilled chicken. It was very refreshing and so tasty! The salad was large, so I only ate half and brought the rest home for later. My husband had the Cuban sandwich and was very pleased. Mathew was our waiter. He was very accommodating and friendly. He made sure that my husband and I were well taken care of.

We were there celebrating a birthday on the patio. I did have a strawberry margarita but it wasn't very good (salt around the rim instead of sugar, barely a strawberry taste and I couldn't taste the tequila), but they did have a couple strawberry halves. I had the Alfredo w/chicken & shrimp. Our server was Izzy then changed to Alyssa and both were amazing! The ends of the patio have a clear tarp that can be lowered, but not a dark one like the middle areas do. It would do them good to put the dark tarps on the ends especially with summer coming and people are NOT going to like sitting in the hot sun like we had to for a while. The Manager was Jillian and she was very nice and helpful. ;)

Good food if a bit overpriced. We had 3 cheeseburgers, an order of wings, a plate of buttered noodles, and a beer, and the total with tip was almost $80! Not recommended if you're on a budget.

Spent my son's birthday and love that they gave free dessert for birthday celebrants. And the staff sings happy birthday 🎂 🥳 eclectic food choices. I was surprised that they have Korean inspired food in their menu. The price for a take out food for family of four was $40 for one of their take out chicken menus.

I ate the PB&J burger which had peanut butter and candied bacon. It tasted nice, a bit too sweet for my taste until I added some hot sauce (Tapatio). The coleslaw was very tasty. Overall the food tasted good, not old.

Has Southwestern fried chicken salad, the salad was very good. Thought it had deviled eggs but it was cut in small pieces. The croutons were not good. Drinks were very good. The place was lightly crowded even though it was Thursday night. I liked how it's open till midnight. Other restaurants were closing by 1000pm when we got out after watching movie by 0900pm.

The food here is consistently good, but the service needs improvement. The text notifications stated my food had been delivered to my car, yet nobody ever came out. After waiting 20 minutes, I finally had to go inside to get it myself. The check-in system definitely needs better coordination with the staff.

I haven't been here for so long. We decided to have dinner on Saturday afternoon before going to Upland Lemon Festival. The service was attentive. I recommend the 10 ribs. Meat came of the bones clean. Sauces are very sweet. Lemon chicken dish is pretty tasty too.

I came to check this place out for my birthday since I was craving some fries and sandwiches. The first time I have tried this chain was in West Covina I believe at least 10 years ago. Was happy to hear they opened a location in Montclair. I just remember the beer flights sampler and that it was a place that we could bring our dogs. We were given a table quite fast but the only thing that took a while was a high chair, which led to me and my wife having to take turns holding our 1 year old before we can finally sit down and look at the menu. The place is quite huge with a high ceiling and bar. Finally get to experience this location after the COVID pandemic. Food We decided to order: Thai Chicken Salad- salad was refreshing, was quite tangy. The sauce is already mixed in for you, I would have preferred it to be just a little less sauce, but it was good overall. Bbq Bison Meatloaf- This was one of me and my wife’s favorite dishes. The meat was gamey, tasted like beef, and it was mixed very well with the crispy onions, mashed potato’s. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. Pot Roast Beef Dip- this was really good dish as well, to be able to dip your sandwich, and it was perfect with the Cajun fries I ordered. The steak fries were just what I was looking for! Would love to come back to this place soon and try some other things in the menu, perhaps one of their burgers. Of course we gotta try those fries again. Until next time !

Had a dinner with cousins. Here are several different plates. - Brussel Sprouts - always my favorite. This plate was really delicious. Hoped for the bigger size. This plate was pretty small - Goat Cheese + Pepper Jelly - tasted so good with the garlic Parmesan crisps. So inevitable. - Queso Dip with tortilla chips - the cheese was good and light - Grilled Lemon Chicken Marinated - Ginger Soy Salmon - Overall was ok-ok. The salmon was dry and overcooked. The veggies were plain. - Fried Chicken Dinner - really good. - Fettuccine Alfredo with Parmesan crisps - Mediterranean Chicken Nice environment, big space. The waitress was friendly and professionally. We enjoyed gathering and eating together.

Went in for dinner sat on the patio to get the happy hour prices they had some great deals. The s'mores Brownie dessert was better than the fettuccine which I thought was a little dry but the flavor was good. I have tried lots of things here love the atmosphere and all the dogs there.

I went for brunch which is every Saturday and Sunday from open until 2pm. They don't do a great job advertising but they should it was great. I started with the bloody Mary with candied bacon. It was great the bacon was a bit on the sweet side. I would have preferred a thicker slice even if that reduced the over all serving. They also offer the candied bacon as an appetizer which I couldn't eat more than one piece but if you like sweet with a hint of salt you would enjoy it. I got the country quiche which was very good. The crust was very rich with butter a little dense but tasted good. I'm not sure if the make the crust in house, if it is they could take a little more time to get it nice and flaky. The filling was good, seasoned well and was excellently cooked. The egg was great not over cooked and the filings didn't overpower everything. Almost forgot the coffee was good, better than dinner coffee. I'll definitely come back to try something else if the menu.

The food was great. I had the cajun fries and while I don't care for them, they were great! The bacon candy was to die for as well. One of my favorite items on the menu for sure. I came in on a weekend night and despite it being busy, Jaylene was still extra attentive to my family and our table. Her efforts and work ethic was much appreciated. Totally enjoyed this, Lazy Dog has really upped their game on the menu. There were a lot more interesting & updated choices than there were pre-pandemic. Also open late, totally fun place to grab a bite in South Upland or North Montclair after a movie or shopping. I included pictures of the fire place booth seating area because the decor and ambience were very nice. Large ceilings, a cute fire place...very lodgey feel.

I’ve had a couple of visits to Lazy Dog. I made a reservation for myself and my dogs. The whole reason I picked this restaurant is because they are dog friendly. I thought maybe I hit them on the wrong day because I walked into the patio area and nobody came out for about 10 minutes, so I walked inside and asked for some help. You are able to bring your dogs but they don’t seem especially, interested in being, really dog friendly. The second time I tried to go there, I made reservations online and they were for 6:45 PM. The confirmation they sent me was for 4:45 PM, so I changed it to 6:45 PM. It was difficult to cancel my reservation online. I couldn’t seem to do it. I just finally gave up and I didn’t go there to eat on Christmas Eve.

The waitresses were very nice, i took my Pup and I had asked for special requests that only females come to our table, due to my Pup barking at Males. I just wish that when other dogs approach, they could sit further away than close by. Just to avoid the barking between dogs. An option can be noted for those customers with no common sense.

Started with the Brussel Sprouts, solid 4 of 10, cooked at a high heat for a short time so the were burnt on the outside and super tough and bitter on the inside, I'm not sure if there was garlic with the lemon as all I tasted was lemon juice and tough burnt bitterness. Got the Black and Blue Burger (medium rare) with Umami fries with the Sun Spanked Red Ale. The Burger was a 7 of 10, cooked proper, but the patty was lacking in seasoning and the sauce they put on was lacking in flavor, fell apart in my hands. Umami fries were great with a 9 of 10 for me. Crispy and creamy with an amazing sort of drizzle over top that tasted a little fishy, almost like tartar sauce with seaweed flakes. The Beer was a 5 of 10, for it being a house brew I expected better, but it was lacking in flavor and substance, all it had was a slight bitterness of the ale in the back of the palette with ot much of an orange note to it. Gf got the flat iron steak (medium rare) wich came with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes w/ gravy, with their top priced Mojito. The steak was a 7 of 10, wasn't seasoned at all, was cooked well, but overall lacked any redeeming flavor, the butter on top saved the day. Sautéed spinach was a 4 of 10, just tasted like it was boiled/blanched with water. The mashed potatoes were a 5 of 10. Had a good classic potatoe flavor, but again no herbs or seasonings of any kind, the gravy was vrey basic to so it didnt do much to enhance the flavor. The Mojito was an 8.5, was lacking alcohol but overall tasted great, nice adition of pineapple on the toothpick, "wasn't the best monitor I've had but it was good" -gf, I would agree. "Bonus" point for not being given any silverware minus the knife with the steak and the spoon for the Brussel Sprouts, so my gf had to eat her steak with a spoon. The servers were busy catering to others so couldn't flag her down amd ask. The patron sitting behind us was so dissatisfied with his meal he had it sent back and ordered something else in its place. What he recieved after wasn't to good either but he decided to settle with it saying "It's not very good, but I don't wanna wait for anything else, I'll just eat this". We give it a 5 of 10 as it wasn't BAD but it also wasn't good at all. A very flavorless meal. If you're a foodie, try somewhere else. We forgot why we haven't gone here in so long and now we remembered why. Because $90 for that meal hardly seemed worth it. Won't be returning.

Lazy Dog has such a diverse menu that I think maybe that's why I had an ok experience. It took a while to get my order. I also don't think what I got (Chicken Parm) is something I would recommend, The chicken was pretty bland and the noodles felt a bit soggy. The only reason I finished the plate clean was because I was starving. What drove me to give three stars was the wait for my bland meal. The customer service and the atmosphere however was great. The waiter was patient and friendly and it's a place that I'd gladly come back and get something different.

Our waiter was terrible. Didn't seem concerned that I was not happy. There was no one there and he was not attentive and acted like he was busy but only had one or two tables. I ordered a half pound burger and it was a pathetic excuse so I sent it back and ordered pot roast which was tasty but gave me heartburn

Location: Good, Parking: Good, Service:Okay, Food for price paid: Okay, lunch menu: yes, Senior menu: did not see one, Overall: been here a few times and it has been okay what concerns me it that No one else ever checks on my drink to see if I need a refill. Why should I tip if this simple service cannot be provided. You walk your tables, refill those drinks that need refills pretty simple. I may call it good on this place for a bit and look for a bit better swrvice...

Great atmosphere and service. Unfortunately the food was not fresh. I ordered an Ahi Tuna bowl and the Tuna was still cold from the fridge, so definitely not seared freshly. My daughter had the kids pasta which came from the microwave. Why can’t a restaurant at least make the food fresh? My son had chicken nuggets and the portion was very small (5 tiny pieces) and he was still hungry. Several dishes were also not available as their “wok broke”. Well… Again, the place is nice and has a great vibe, but don’t expect freshly cooked food.

We ordered to go and got the Cobb salad we get at least once a week. It had no blue cheese crumbles on it so disappointed it’s one of my favorite parts of the salad

The service was slow but the food was good. We did have one food allergy issue and it was never taken care of even though the server said she was going to bring a new bowl. We eventually left without it because our server never came by the table until long after we were done eating.

First time here and I might not return. The restaurant is spacious with a cozy atmosphere. It features a fireplace, a large bar, an outdoor patio, an open kitchen, and charming dog-themed decor. Tables are well-spaced, allowing guests to enjoy privacy while feeling relaxed and at ease. What failed for us was the food. It's hit or miss. The appetizers/starters are overly salty and heavy in flavor, reminiscent of bar food. It pairs well with an ale. However, the fries were superbly crunchy and delicious! We also ordered several main dishes. The pulled pork sandwich, Caesar salad, and fish and chips were great. The fish and chips were particularly perfect, and the chicken fingers were delicious. The chef excels at frying dishes. However, the steak and pad thai were disappointing. The steak was overcooked and dry, while the pad thai's noodles were inconsistently cooked, with some being undercooked and hard. The flavor of the pad thai was overly sweet, almost prompting us to send it back. Instead, we opted to take it to go and reheat it ourselves. The service was just okay. The waitress checked on us only a couple of times, and we had trouble flagging her down for drink orders or water refills. However, when she did check on us and take our orders, she was quick to bring them over. Since it was my brother's birthday, we received a complimentary slice of confetti cake with vanilla ice cream on top. However, the waitress simply lit the candle and left without singing with us. Additionally, I was expecting complimentary bread, chips, or something to start with, but there were none. Despite the restaurant's size, it offers no complimentary starters. Overall, we were somewhat disappointed. I would recommend sticking to burgers or fried food, as the restaurant excels in these areas. I wouldn't suggest ordering any starters unless you're a fan of salt and beer.

Ordered cake from Lazy Dog and was served what appears to be a collapsed drywall sample with emotional damage. Is this cake? Is it cornbread? Is it a construction material? No one knows. The texture said “crumbly regret.” The presentation said “we dropped it but sent it anyway.” It looks like it survived a minor earthquake before arriving at the table. I’ve seen better structure in sandcastles. The inside texture is giving “left out on the counter since Tuesday.” I didn’t eat dessert. I investigated it. If this is cake, it’s the rebellious cousin that refuses to identify as cake. Lazy Dog — please explain

We were seated at our table and ended up leaving. We waited 15 min with no one to serve us. We tried to get someone's attention to ask what was going on but all the employees just ignored us. Very poor customer service.

There’s a reason I haven’t been here in 2 yrs, and yet I live up the street. The service at the bar was horrendous. I had to keep “Interrupting “ the two female bartenders that kept chatting instead of asking us if we needed anything at least 4 times last night. One of them even got annoyed and replied “ I heard you’ I will get to you when I can”. Just absolutely rude with a bad attitude considering we had been waiting to ask for water? I went to Paul Martin’s and Lucille’s in Victoria Gardens and their service and food is 5 star without a doubt compared to Lazy Dog. Overpriced, and the bartenders were more concerned about their conversation vs helping us. I will never go there again! The experience there is sub par at best, and the most pivotal point of this bad review is that this in not the first bad review I have left and management doesn’t care at all, but the last time I had been there I left another bad review that never got addressed. Do you really wanna spend money at a restaurant that doesn’t care at all about their service? I don’t! Never again!

Update 6/23/22 Tonight we stopped in for dinner and everything was ok until the check came. Our server (see the pic for name) brought our check on a digital device, but would not let go of it. I asked her about how I leave a tip and she told me it was included. I asked is that the way they do it now, they figure the tip? She said yes. The only options on the screen were “print or email the receipt.” I couldn’t even see the total because I was on the far side of the table. So I pushed print receipt to see what I paid. We did some math and saw that the tip added was 22%. I thought that was kind of strange that a business would assume a 22% tip when the average is 20%. It was only about $3 more, but it felt shady. On my way out I asked the manager about it and she said there are options to choose your tip amount, but I explained to her that I was never given those options. She looked at the servers name and apologized. She said she could redo the transaction, but I told her not to bother. I explained how the situation felt uncomfortable and that I think I am just done with the uncertainty of our experiences every time we come and that we would just go elsewhere from now on. It may sound petty to some, but the dishonesty of this waitress really bothered us. Update 4/3022 My whole family loves Lazy Dog. Great fusion menu and the Huckleberry IPA is amazing. We ordered the Huckleberry Apple Pie for dessert and it is my new favorite. The patio space is great for those who want to social distance as well. Update 3/9/22 Sadly, something has gone really wrong for this restaurant. My wife and I went last Sunday night and had an experience so bad it was comedic. My wife ordered the pot pie and the waiter tells her they may be out and asked what her second choice might be. She said the broccoli and ham Mac n cheese would be fine. I ordered the fish tacos. 30 minutes later the waiter comes back and informs me that they are out of the fish for the tacos and wanted me to pick something else. At this point my wife asks if she is getting the pot pie or not. He informs her that there is no pot pie. I asked my wife if maybe we should just go, but she assured me the Mac n cheese would be fine. So I ordered the salmon. The waiter returns and tells me they are out of salmon too. I say I will just have my drink then and skip ordering dinner. He literally walks 5 feet from me and turns around to tell me that they do, in fact have the salmon. I ask him what is going on, how could he suddenly know this? A few minutes later the manager comes out and says our dinner would be free. I assured him that we did not need free food, still he insisted. The waiter also gave us a gift card, but I am not sure if I will be back, because when our food came, it was made with weird substitutions. My wife’s Mac and cheese was made with fettuccine noodles and sliced broccoli stems. The veggies with my salmon also had broccoli stems. (See pics) We are very sad because this was our favorite place.

I wanted to like this, but a dinner for 5 turned into a 3.5-hour ordeal. Food took 90 minutes to arrive and came out cold and incorrect (wrong sides, ignored dietary restrictions). We understand running out of items for the valentines course, but they didn't communicate it until we flagged them down. To top it off, we spent over 30 minutes waiting for them to fix mistakes on the bill that they added just to be blamed of not wanting to pay. Just very unorganized and subpar food.

I ordered wings from here, even though they are operating under the name Jolene’s wings, it is a lazy dog kitchen, the wings that I got were very mediocre. Last time I ordered lemon pepper, they over seasoned it, tasted like they put wings in my salt, and today they have absolutely no lemon pepper seasoning on them. Same thing with the Buffalo, last time they flooded my wings in buffalo sauce and today they barely put any on them, meet me in the middle guys!

I visited Lazy Dog in Montclair with my family recently, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. When we entered, the hostess did not greet us at all. We stood waiting for an extended period and when we politely asked about our table, we were met with attitude rather than assistance. There was no apology or explanation for the delay. After a long wait, our party of eight was finally seated. We placed our order, which included four burgers. After waiting approximately one hour, the manager, Toni, came to inform us that they were out of burger buns. This was confusing and frustrating because newer guests who arrived after us were clearly being served burgers with buns. When we asked why we were not informed sooner, the manager stated that someone had been sent to the store to buy buns. Instead of offering a sincere apology or a solution, the manager was dismissive and told us to just order something else. The tone was rude and unprofessional. Given the lack of communication, poor service, and dismissive treatment, we chose to leave. The overall environment did not feel welcoming, and as a family of color, the experience was uncomfortable enough that I would not recommend eating here if you are a person of color. This visit reflected serious issues with customer service, management response, and basic hospitality. I will not be returning.

This is the 2nd time in the last 5 visits that the customer service was bad. Once seated, we waited about 10 minutes and didn't get an order put in for drinks much less for the food. The section we were sitting in, there was only 4 tables occupied and we saw at least 4 waiters servicing that area. Prior visit, the waitress forgot about us once we recieved our food, which was in a timely matter but didn't bother to check on us again. I won't go to the montclair location anymore.

Went here tonight with my wife and kids for dinner and honestly it was a weird experience. Our server had an attitude from the start. When he took our drink order he already seemed irritated. After bringing the drinks he walked by our table and grabbed the menus without even asking if we were ready to order. A few minutes later my wife politely asked if we could place our order. He smiled and said “yeah” and then just walked away. After that he went to other tables, took their orders, and passed by us a couple times like we weren’t even there. We sat there about 15–20 minutes after asking to order, watching other tables get helped while we were completely ignored. Eventually I had to call out to him because we were just done waiting. I asked for the check so we could leave. He just said “okay” really quickly and brought it. So yeah… we never even ordered food. We got drinks and left. I’m not someone who usually bad writes reviews, but this one deserved it. We were polite the whole time and just wanted dinner with our family. Pretty disappointing experience.
