Best beef noodle soup that is sanitary! I say this because there are some very yummy shops in SGV for beef noodle soup but your stomach would not appreciate them. Really generous with the meat and tendons. The broth is amazing and tastes super authentic. There can be a wait if you come around noon on weekends where they get the lunch rush. I would come here right after they open to dodge the wait. I overheard roughly 30 minutes wait when I was leaving so not sure how bad it could get. They also accept Apple Pay, credit cards, debit cards, and obviously cash. I genuinely love this place!! They also have 椰果奶茶(coconut milk tea??) that tastes reminiscent of 五十嵐in Taiwan (50 lan/Wushiland, but the coconut drink isn’t sold in their US locations). A bit sweet but maybe they can adjust it down. I just watered mine down and it tasted great.
This is our second time here and the food was just as good as the first time we went there. It’s my husband’s favorite spot for beef noodle soup. The pan fried buns were crispy on the bottom and soupy on the inside (perfection). Try the honey green tea! It big enough to share between two people. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious Taiwanese food! They also have a nice parking lot (unlike most places in LA).
Really yummy place. Probably the best beef roll ever. Loved the fresh herbs and veggies inside to lighten it up a little. The potstickers were so good. Crispy and delicious. Really good soup dumplings. Juicy and flavorful. The beef stew had so much flavor. Spicy and hot. Beef was tender and tasty. I would definitely come back!
A friend suggested this place for Taiwanese cuisine. My family & I met with him and his wife to dine in for lunch. It was all quite a pleasant surprise, everything that we ordered was authentic and very flavorful including their apple teas/milk teas. Friendly and on point service! The waitress that waited on us was the best!
This is a Gem! My wife found this place on Yelp and we tried it and it was awesome! Foods and services were fast and friendly. One of ild lady was waiting for a table and a young server grabbed a chair for her which I never seen before. Look at our dishes and see it fir yourself. Although parking is a challenge.
We've lived in the Alhambra/Monterey Park area for over 20 years, and it stands to reason we have our favourite go-to places for 生煎包, 鍋貼, 牛肉麵. So when @secret.losangeles two days ago posted their best ones in Monterey Park, I took my parents there today to try it out. The verdict: food is really... 👍👍👍😋
What a crazy good find that I happen to stumble upon checking San Gabriel Valleys best Taiwanese food spots! The little restaurant next to a market is serving up great Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup that’s sure to warm you up with its soft tender beef and rich warm broth. We also had the Xiao Long Bao which were soft and juicy, melt in your mouth appetizers. It was packed at first when we walked in during lunch time but emptied out once lunch period was over. The servers were attentive and helpful. Really recommend this place.
Saw this restaurant on Tik Tok and it was worth the wait. Went on Friday night with 4 people and we waited 45 mins. Their spicy beef braised noodle soup was really good, broth had lots of flavor. Shrimp fried rice was good, shrimp and leek dumplings pan fried were amazing. Their teas were all good too. Great service and very fairly priced!
Tiny restaurant tucked away by an Asian shopping mall. We heard that the beef noodle soup was good so we came to give it a try. Strong, flavorful soup base. Beef was very tender and well marinated. Kinda wished they put more veggies in the noodles. I like the egg noodles over the rice noodles. We also ordered fried dumplings to share. The dumplings are very juicy and not too greasy. It's a little more than I expect to pay for a bowl of noodle soup.
This Taiwanese restaurant in SGV serves amazing comfort food with generous portion sizes *_* 🍽Ordered: 1. Braised beef & tendon noodle soup 2. Popcorn chicken 3. Pan fried pork buns I can totally see why this place has such high reviews because their noodle soup is legit!! The broth is packed with flavor yet light and easily chugable (if that makes sense😹). The beef is so tender and the tendon added a great change of texture throughout the soup. Be warned that the chili spice they use on the popcorn chicken is HOT because I ate one covered in the powder and it took me 10 mins to recover ☠️💀🥵 other than that, the popcorn chicken was rly solid. Lastly, the pan fried pork buns were BOMB.. the lacing on the bottom was super crispy since they were fried to perfection :,)
Glad to discover another nice Taiwanese restaurant around LA. Very hospital staff. The beef noodle soup is certainly their specialty - unique thick al dente noodles, very tender tendons (chunks of beef not so much), interesting broth with herbal accents. Impressed by their shrimp & pork dumplings - the pork portion was probably fulfilled by the filing of XLB on the menu, which made the dumplings very pleasantly juicy; just wished the wrapper were thinner. In all, don’t expect anything extraordinary, but great value and certainly above peers.
This was one of the most satisfying Taiwanese meals outside of Taiwan. The texture and flavor of the fried calamari was spot on. Even the leftovers eaten cold was delicious. The noodles was of perfect texture and the sauce was an excellent blend of savory and just a little spicy. The texture and taste of the 小龍包 (buns), potstickers and 牛肉卷餅 (beef crepe roll) confirmed that we will be coming back to this place, again and again. If you order drinks, it comes in pitcher size mugs. Order one to share if there are only a few in your group. This will be our new go to place.
We keep coming back for their authentic food in their cozy restaurant that is always packed with people. My go-to is the spicy beef noodle soup and the honey lemon green tea which comes in a huge beer mug. Their dumplings are also pretty great too. It's a true Asian restaurant so don't expect the staff to wait on you hand & foot, get their attention & they'll deliver prompt service.
Great food for a great price. I got the Taiwanese chicken nuggets and the pan fried pork bao. Total price was around $13 and change, I was thinking HOLY WOW! So cheap, quality wasn't scarified though. Their fried chicken nuggets are hands down the best in town. The portion size is huge that you could share for a table of 3-4 and it only cost $5.99. All the pieces of chicken were crispy and juicy and they included lots of fried basil. The pan fried dumplings had a TON of juice in them. They weight a ton so if you order these you might end up being full after eating 1 of them so look out for that if you want to save room for more foods. The bottom of the dumplings were super crunchy, incredibly satisfying, and it's packed with a ton of meat that's very tender. They cost $6.75. The other best thing about this place is that they take credit card. Minimum purchase is $15 but that's easy to do with 2 dishes and a drink.
2nd time going and we love it! Expect a wait but it's totally worth it and it goes fast. Staff had been excellent and attentive.
Had the opportunity take out some out their famous dishes, beef soup noodle is authentic, the pork shrimp dumpling is out this world. The Taiwanese stir fried rice noodles remind the home cook. Great place to revisit again soon.
It our first time there and it was a 10/10 experience for us. Food was delicious 🤤 and prices reasonable🙌. I liked that the waiting was not super long and the food was brought out fast. Plus the flavor of the food was delicious 😋🤤 authentic!!!! We had the Hot oil 🍤 & 🐖 dumplings 10/10 wow. We also had the steam Xiao Long Bao 10/10 flavor was chef's kisses! And the 🍚 with 🍤 10/10. It was good for two people and it was less than $50 for such yummy food!!!
Really, really enjoyed this place! Everything on the menu looked great, but we narrowed it down to 4 dishes: pan fried pork bao, potstickers, beef roll, and black pepper beef noodles. All were delicious; the beef roll was the only item that was dry. Portion sizes were huge! Their teas are on the sweet side and served in a XL beer mug. Service was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and very attentive.
This place really hit the spot. For the price, we got a lot of food, and everything we tried was satisfying. I loved the crispy layers on the potstickers, and the xiao long bao were flavorful and juicy. The spicy wontons had a unique peanut buttery flavor that you don’t usually get definitely different, but I didn’t hate it. It made for a great late night meal, and I’d love to come back to try some of their other menu items.
delicious food (you can taste the love in a way), fast and attentive service, not a super big establishment but it didn’t create any issues anyway. there’s also parking right in front of the place if you’re wondering! the bathroom was also really nice and clean.
Food was so good that we completely demolished everything. I would recommend getting the beef roll with the popcorn chicken as a appetizer it's super delicious and very crispy and flavorful. For my main we got the house special beef noodles soup and we got pork and shrimp fried dumplings and washed it all down with a big passion fruit drink. 100/10 would recommend this place if your looking for some good taiwanese food 😋🤤
We recently stopped by this restaurant for dinner and absolutely loved it! This is a small, cozy spot, so be prepared for a wait, it's popular for a reason! The menu is great, but a word of warning: they don't hold back on the heat! We ordered a few different items: the Pork Ramen, the Beef House Noodles and the Spicy beef ramen. Justo be careful if you can't handle the spice. One of the biggest highlights is the portion size. Everything here is huge! You certainly get your money's worth and will likely leave with leftovers. If you're looking for authentic, delicious, and generously portioned noodles (with a serious kick!), this is the spot.
So good!👍 Everything is extremely fresh and tasty , especially the crispy beef roll , my HAVE TO order part, the only issue is too big portion , you can have it as entree . Recommendation:🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This place is top of my list for Taiwanese cuisine. The pan fried buns are undefeated, and we always eat them so fast I can never take a picture. Tried the fried squid for the first time as someone who was walking out recommended them to us, and they were next level. I will now never not get them, that’s how good they were. The shrimp fried rice was amazing too — nice classic flavor that paired really well with the seasonings on the squid. 12/10 meal
Absolutely stunning work done on the presentation and taste for food. If you are around monterey park, this is definitely the place to enjoy the best flavors in town. The dumplings and the noodle soups are the best part of their menu!
Everything we had here was fantastic! I loved the mango iced tea because it actually tastes like mangos, the chicken was nice and crunchy on the outside, juice and delicious on the inside. We also had xiao baos and their dry noodles with peanut butter sauce which were both fantastic! I would recommend against getting their devils hot sauce unless you have like an amazing spice tolerance! I thought my spice tolerance was fine because i can handle tapatio and valentina easily but this sauce left me chugging my drink and feeling the chili under my tongue for hours!
A delicious, more authentic, alternative to the usual Chinese food. Every thing we tried is amazing from the popcorn chicken that has a delicious hint of cumin, to the soup dumplings and the beef roll, the wait for dinner time came before quite long but it’s worth every minute you wait. Dinner for four was around sixty five dollars so, very affordable.
Authentic taiwanese cuisine. We took beef noodle soups of course, and fried chicken and squid nuggets. Everything taste very good. The lemon teas we ordered were HUGE. Service is fast and friendly. We had a table right away, no need to wait. Finding a parking place may be difficult, parking is small and sharef with the supermarket next door.
All the foods I ordered were delicious & the service is A+ (keep up the great work) 😋😘 A must come to dine restaurant 👍 Definitely will come back to try other food items 😍

We love p.p pop. My family goes there once a week! The food is always fresh and delicious. The green tea drink is in a huge jug Not to mention popcorn chicken is a big bowl of yummyness. The waitress staff is very attentive speaking good English and Mandarin.
Everything was amazing & large portions (popcorn chicken, soup dumplings, won ton, vermicelli noodles). I don't recommend the honey lemon green tea; it was bitter & had an aftertaste (non-sugar sweetner?). It was served in a giant beer stein so it was shareable. Plus that it's next to an Asian supermarket.
The popcorn chicken was super crispy, the pan fried steamed pork buns were crispy on the bottom, soft and juicy on the inside. The garlic bok choy was very flavorful for a single-veggie dish. The beef noodle soup was delightful, like a comforting middle ground between ramen, pho, and caldo de res. Definitely coming back. Sorry, we ate the food before taking pictures. The staff were efficient and not rude. In fact, they said “thank you” at every opportunity. Nice Chinese chill R&B playing. Restrooms were clean.
I am so blown away at how good everything is here! I know a place is good when I come back every week for a month! There's a steady wait, but the 3+ times we've been here, it didn't take longer than 20 minutes. Kitchen closes at 8:30 pm, so make sure you get your order in before then. The first time, we ordered 6 items and we were sat at a small table for two. Once they saw the size of our order and a bigger table was available, they moved us there, which we appreciated. So we went ham on ordering since it all sounded good. We got the xiao long bao, pork potstickers, sheng xian bao, steamed pork and shrimp dumplings, house special fried rice (comes with shrimp and beef), and beef noodle soup. Let me tell you, I don't know how they do it, but IT WAS ALL SOO GOOD. All the various buns and dumplings were full of flavor and soup. You'd want to take a small bite to let the hot steam out and to not drip the soup all over the table (happened to BF, he's learned since then). On other visits, we've ordered the popcorn chicken, the garlic bokchoy, beef roll, several udons, the other fried rice dishes, one of their Japanese ramen bowls and the spicy pork and shrimp dumplings. All excellent as well. I also tried their passion fruit iced tea and their milk tea with rainbow jelly. The iced tea comes in a humongous mug that I cannot finish and I end up taking it home in my 28 oz reusable tumbler. The milk tea comes in a to-go plastic cup, so that's a bummer. Since their remodel back in July 2023, they now give everyone who takes a number to wait a menu to order so that you can decide what you want while you're waiting and once you're seated, they can get going on your food. Appreciate that it cuts down on more waiting time and we can get our food faster! The parking lot in front gets full rather quickly, but there's a larger parking lot right behind the supermarket and you can walk through using the supermarket as a shortcut.

The place is next to the supermarket and has some parking spaces in front, but limited. It is a place you come to because the food taste great with generous portions and not because of the atmosphere, because it does not scream clean to me. My favorites were the Beef Noodle Soup, Xiao Long Bao, and Potstickers. The beef roll has a fried dough with a super sweet sauce and cilantro, was good but just ok to me. Highly recommend the Beef Noodle Soup because the broth is flavorful and the generous chunks of meat were tender soft. The Xiao Long Bao had a thicker dough than Din Tai Fung but really tasty too.
The food was very tasty. The fried chicken was fresh and crispy and was surprisingly crispy and hot throughout our meal here. The beef and tendon noodles soup was excellent as well as the xlb! I cant wait to come again and try other meal items. It does get busy so def try to beat the lunch time rush we went around 11:30 and were able to get seated right away.
Great first experience. Good, decent food and service! Definitely slipped in during the right time to get seated right away. Found this place by accident and I will chalk it up as a good accident! Overall the food was solid. We ordered the house special beef noodle soup, fish and pickled vegetable noodle soup, XLB, pan fried pork and shrimp dumpling, hot oil shrimp and pork dumpling and 3 drinks. The drinks come in a huge beer stein! Holy moly, we should have looked around first before ordering those beverages! For the spicy dumplings, I like the crunchy chili pepper sauce vs just the hot oil other restaurants use. Noodles were ok, didn’t move us either way but I liked that their dumplings had whole shrimp inside and not puréed mystery meat! 🤭 At the end of your meal they will give you a to go cup for your drink if you don’t finish. I imagine that happens often! Bottom line - we will be back!!!! 👍
Neat place, but tucked away in the corner of a shopping center making it hard to see from the street. Restaurant is super clean, and accommodating to larger parties (we had 6, but they had tables set up for larger). We ordered an array of dishes. But the my top item was the beef roll. It's beef and generous amounts of cilantro rolled in a flaky crust, similar to a Cuban empanada. We also ordered a ton of other food, all of which was delicious, with my dislike for the calamari, which in general I find too rubbery/chewy. We were all shocked as to how low the price came out, considering how much food we ordered. I think the pricing was astounding.
Waited in the rain for about 40 minutes. Was glad this place didn't dissappoint. Beef Bowl, Dumplings, and Beef Noodles were really good. I got so full I couldn't try the Dan Dan Noodles or Spicy Beef Soup. Not pictures was the shrimp fried rice which was also tasty. Would come back again.
November 4th 2025: Came around lunch and it was packed. Got their popcorn chicken ($10) and Dan Dan noodles ($12) to go. The popcorn chicken box was stuffed with chicken and was super flavorful and crisp. Mostly got batter pieces tho. The Dan Dan noodles were super rich and creamy. Kinda oily too. Made me super swollen and bloated after eating. Very chewy and springy noodles tho. Portions are generous and prices are good. 👍
Chill restaurant — we visited at a Sunday morning around 11am, and they had no line, by the way we left there was a 15-20 min wait. Great place to visit when you have family in town. Vibe is chill, affordable, not pretentious, and the food was quite tasty. The beef noodle soup could pack a bit more flavor, but I still enjoyed it. Food: good Atmosphere: casual Service: good Do not miss: Pan fried Pork Bao
Overall: 4.1/5 (dine in) We came on a Thursday evening around 6 PM. We were lucky and seated right away. As we dined, the restaurant started to fill up. They give generous portions so we had to take home enough for a second meal. However, they were lacking that dim sum umami flavor if you know what I mean. Honey Lemon Green Tea ($4.99): We almost burst into laughter when we saw that it was served in a giant beer glass since it was totally unexpected. It's good but you have to drink it right away since it gets more bitter as you let it sit. Popcorn Chicken ($8.50): We got mild spicy which wasn't spicy at all for me. It's more of the batter than chicken to be honest but it seemed like authentic Taiwanese popcorn chicken in terms of taste and texture. Pan Fried Pork Bao ($11.50 for 6): These were big juicy baos that were very crispy on the bottom but the juice wasn't as flavorful as I would like it. Even eating the meat inside, it fell flat so I had to dunk them in chili sauce. Beef Roll ($14.99 for 8 pieces): This was different from other beef rolls we had. The roll they used was more fried, crispy, and didn't have a flakey texture. There wasn't a lot of filling but it did have a nice taste. Hot Oil Shrimp With Pork Dumplings ($12.50 for 8): The dumplings were huge and stuffed with big pieces of pork and shrimp. The wrapper wasn't the best quality though. They didn't pour the hot oil on top of the dumplings so we had to mix it up to get the dumplings coated. All the flavor is in the hot oil and the crispy toppings in there. This was the least favorite dish of the four.

I researched on Google Maps for dinner and P.P. POP came up highly recommend. We thought it was good but not great. I thought it was overpriced for what we ordered for dinner. Unfortunately, we will not return. This is our opinion and some customers might think this is acceptable for them. Please try P. P. POP restaurant for your self.
Ordered black pepper beef fried noodles and beef rolls. Firstly, the noodles were not fresh cooked; some spot cold and some spot warm and the beef tasted grisly. The beef rolls was made with some kind of flat bread?! Which it wasn’t the real and authentic beef rolls recipe 😞Overall, it was just disappointed. Never fell for the long line or crowdedness!
