Update 01/11/2026 - this is the second time this month that my family and I show up 20 to 30 minutes before closing time and they are closed early. We can clearly see a worker in there but they will not open the door for us. Closing time is stated as 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays and they've been closing at around 7:30pm. I hate that they dont update the closing time if they are now closing earlier please update your hours of operation. This is my go to place for a delicious Strawberry frosti milk. I order it with mini Boba. I dont know of any other place that offers mini Boba. The staff is always super attentive and nice. We go put of our way to come here. It Never disappoints.
Excellent drinks and a good place for a delicious snack. Try their new tofu donuts... pretty good.
My boyfriend’s favorite boba place! Staff here is always nice and gave us extra toppings at the end of the night!
Great service and their drinks are amazing. Their popcorn chicken is super awesome. I been coming here for sometime now and highly recommend it.
Love this place!! Always tastes fresh, healthy and very flavorful! I always order the spicy crispy chicken meal with a green tea! Pot stickers are amazing and also the calamari! The drinks are all very well made too..
Good drinks and friendly service. Got the taro snow bubble, molasses latte, and crispy chicken. Everything was good 👍
love this place! such good service and great drinks and snacks!!
The best boba in Alhambra so far. The crispy chicken is delicious too
Located immediately next door to another boba tea shop, this TE is great for price, service and great boba tea.
Great service been coming here for years
Amazing, kind, & friendly service 10/10
Really good food and drink. Very good price too
I've been tasted many bobas... this place rocks!
Interesting mix of dishes on the menu. We had the steak and was juicy and moist. Service was excellent. Overall we recommend this restaurant because of the value and delicious food.
Love love love Baccali, we missed if so much , everytime we visit La we have to have it. After 13 years we have been there, their food still taste the same. Even though they are now more busy. But the flavor never change.they have the best chicken wings with curry sauce ever. Even though it’s a big dish , but I can finish this whole dish all by myself will not sharing. Bc its so good . You can’t get this favor anywhere else.
Returning to Baccali Cafe & Rotisserie after my last visit during the pandemic, I was delighted to find that the quality and variety of the menu have only gotten better. In the competitive realm of Chinese Cafes, particularly for breakfast, Baccali stands out as a gem. On a typical weekday morning, one might expect a quiet atmosphere, but Baccali defies the norm with a bustling crowd of patrons eagerly starting their day. The secret to their success? A unique breakfast menu that elevates the traditional Cha Chan Teng experience with innovative offerings. Instead of the usual congee and pineapple buns, Baccali serves up sizzling fried noodles and an array of Western breakfast items. It’s a refreshing twist that sets them apart from other HK-style cafes. Their beef chow fen and Singaporean-style fried vermicelli, typically reserved for lunch, are available early in the day, much to the delight of breakfast adventurers like myself. The beverage selection is equally impressive, featuring authentic HK milk tea and refreshing ice lemon tea—perfect complements to the hearty meals. Service is attentive and swift, with our corner table receiving the same prompt attention as those in the center of the action. The highlight of our breakfast was undoubtedly the fried rice noodle with ham and fried vermicelli with congee. Each dish was a flavor explosion, brimming with the coveted ‘wok hei’ that is the hallmark of expertly crafted Chinese cuisine. Now I understand why Baccali is the go-to spot even on weekdays. Word to the wise: weekends see a longer wait, so an early arrival is recommended. If you’re seeking a breakfast experience that’s both unique and satisfying, Baccali Cafe & Rotisserie is the place to be.
We ordered a Salmon breakfast with salad and toast. The texture of salmon was pretty moist. Then a Baccali chicken with spaghetti in tomato sauce. Chicken was a bit dried. Another one we ordered was Curry Pork Chop. Wow! I like the curry. Curry ( Ox tongue / Ox tail / Pork Chop / Fish or Seafood) which is one of their signature dish. Give it a try.
This place never disappoints me. This is one great Asian-style Western food available in LA or even in the US. I've been to multiple Asian-style Western restaurants (Japanese ones, Korean ones, Cantonese ones) but this place is hand down the best I could find in LA so far. They got very juicy steak and lamb chop and their baked rice/pasta is definitely far above average. I have yet to try their royal chicken and other Cantonese food but I bet those must be legit. I'd love to try their lobsters and other foods. They just have too many food choices that I have to go there more and more to try every food they have!
It’s rare enough to find a place with great affordability and quantity all in one. Except this place gives you great affordability, quantity, AND quality. I ordered their Triple Crown dish and for $22.95, I couldn’t even finish half of it and ended up taking it to-go!! I’ve posted an appropriate photo to show the size, but I’m a 6’1 male with a “decent-sized” fist. I think my photo shows a very impressive comparison. 10/10
We went here last Sunday and saw that they had combos. Where when you buy a bowl, you get a free drink. It was a good deal. So we bought one noodles and one pork chop bowl. The Pork Chop Bowl rocks, they cut the bones out. But the noodles were cold, I did not like it at all. thats why its a 4 star not 5 stars.
We got two,bob teas and fries. Both were good but they were skimpy on the fries
They've got a good selection of milk teas and lemonades.
Came for lunch again with fam. This is always busy during weekend lunch time but if you go after 1p you’re more likely to have open tables. It can loud when it’s busy here but given how casual it is, you’d expect it from a Chinese restaurant in SGV. (-) Staff is running and to get something you must always flag them down / my biggest YUCK point is that the utensils are not very clean :( (+) Food comes out very quickly if not that busy. - Stir fry Broccoli with garlic - tasty - baked chicken with tomato sauce pasta - tasty - curry chicken & rice - tasty but small portion - chicken steak pasta with mushroom sauce - tasty - fried rice - tasty Parking - small lot but you can park along the small street or on Valley for free Restrooms - decent and well ventilated
Went there for breakfast with friends. Chinese breakfast is a little different than what I'm used to, so it took some getting used to being served salad with my eggs. I got chicken fried steak with eggs, toast, and salad? I'm not a fan of getting breakfast mixed up with other meals unless it brunch. Take was really sticky. Tried porage for the first time, really liked it!
Baccali is now a go-to restaurant for me. They have good food. Though the prices are higher, the portion sizes are bigger. Almost always I have leftovers that make for a great meal the next day. They have their own parking lot, but sometimes it's hard to find a spot. It can get tight when cars don't park correctly. Service is good. I really liked the cream soup with corn and ham. Hong Kong style cafe. They currently have indoor seating and outdoor seating with individual tents and tables with a clear screen to keep the wind away. Stopped on a Saturday evening and this place was busy both indoors and outdoors but we were able to get a table right away. The prices are a bit higher than some of the other similar restaurants but their dishes and portions are large and decent in quality.
Oh Baccali, how awesome you are! With more and more restaurants starting to resume services at 100% capacity, you are given an opportunity to finally sit inside the restaurant or outdoors in their makeshift EZ-Up tents. I came with a friend for dinner and the service was great, probably because there wasn't that many guests inside the restaurant; not complaining though! As you enter the restaurant, they workers do not take your temperature or take your name down anymore. I think at this point, most people who go out to eat have been vaccinated and they no longer want to waste time to contact trace. Whether you like it or not, the workers are still masked up and most of them have gloves on just as a safety precaution for them. My friend and I both ordered grilled chicken steak with their black pepper sauce with a side of veggies and pasta. As other reviewers have mentioned, you're able to substitute pasta for rice or fries. It's always been my go to HK Style dish at any HK Cafe's in the SGV. Weirdly enough, I don't ever order that dish when I visit relatives back in Hong Kong. Not long after we ordered, the food came out steaming hot, literally steaming, so you know it wasn't sitting on the counter waiting for a server to take it to us. The chicken was cooked perfectly, especially how they made the skin extra crispy. Don't get your hopes up during their peak hours because it'll most likely be crowded and the server busy running around. However, please be courteous to the servers because they've had it hard this past year and they're doing their best to catch up and do their jobs. If you're ever in the area, definitely check out Baccali's because you won't be disappointed with the variety of choices on their menu.
Typical Hong Kong/Western Cafe. Food is pretty good comparing to other nearby cafes. Service is actually not bad. Interestingly enough, the pasta that they serve is quite tasty. You can order a side of it & it's $1.50. Not bad at all & the portion is pretty good. Lots of combinations to choose from.
This place is always packed!!! For good reason though, generous portions, huge selections, free refills on some drinks. The flavor I wouldn't say is the very best but it's pretty good although it could be the msg. Only thing I really hate about this place is how pack it can get. Always a line and not enough parking spots. I always get the French style pork chops, yum!
Good place to go once so you can taste the original. Everyone who works here is super nice and amazing. The tapioca or boba is very fresh and has a nice chew to it. The milk tea is VERY milky and sweat so be prepares for that.
My go to for dumplings but business hour need to be updated.
Parking: Free parking, but finding an actual spot can be a nightmare. They have a small parking lot. We usually parallel park on the streets and walk over. Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space. Really great for bigger groups. I've only ever visited with my family, so we always dine for a party of 10+. Walking in, you can either place an order to go via the kiosk or dine in by checking in at the podium. There'll most likely be a wait time for dining in. Service: Service really needs to improve. I wasn't expecting service to be top notch from restaurants like this, so I wasn't surprised. Our server never checked on us. It's really difficult to wave a server down. If you'd like a refill, make sure you ask. What I ate: They have a very large menu. Majority of their dishes come with vegetables with your choice of protein, choice of rice or noodles, and choice of sauce served in a gravy boat. It is Hong Kong style, so expect large portions and come with an appetite. I ordered the Filet Mignon, medium rare, with Korean sauce and rice. The Korean sauce wasn't too sweet and actually flavorful. The vegetables and rice were cooked well. The Filet Mignon was a bit chewy, but still decent. Pricing: Prices are average nowadays. My dish was $16.95, and we dined for a family of 10+ so our total was over $220 before tip. I'd say it's worth it because their portions are large; one dish can easily be shared. They have free unlimited refills for drinks. But don't expect great service.
If I could do half stars this place would be a solid 3.5. The food is ok, nothing I ever eat here makes me say “Wow! That’s the best _____ I ever had!” So starting there, this place gives you an AWESOME bang for your buck. I posted photos from 2 separate trips - one set from dinner and another set from the breakfast menu. Dinner: We ordered 2 fried rice plates that no one could finish. Fried filet of sole that came with a big slab of fish and a side of mushroom gravy, filet mignon and chicken combo plate, filet mignon and shrimp pasta, lamb chops and beef plate and finally a spam and egg over instant noodle for the comfort food diner! The plates are definitely loaded with food. A few of us could have just shared each plate without packing all the leftovers afterwards. The meat is nicely cooked but it doesn’t taste like much other flavoring except salt and pepper. So as I mentioned, nothing special. Their rotisserie chicken is also nicely roasted and wasn’t dried out but you really do need side gravy to help the plates by adding a little flavor to everything. Breakfast - Breakfast is served until 11am so if you want to try their breakfast menu, be seated by 10:45am to avoid “missing” the golden time to order! That said, this place is packed for breakfast but don’t fear, they move people in and out quickly to turn over tables. Six of us arrived at 10:30am and were seated within 10 mins so be patient and don’t worry, they will seat you. The breakfast menu has a number of options available. We ordered grilled pork chops (comes with toast, eggs and coffee), porridge (comes with your option of a noodle), steak and eggs, instant noodle with spam and eggs as well as a fried chicken sandwich. My friends like this place because it’s such a good deal for breakfast but food is ok. Service - overall service is quick and efficient. The waiters are multi-dialect in Chinese and speak English as well. They will keep your never ending lemon ice tea filled as well as your milk tea. Once you clear a plate they’ll grab it to keep things moving. They also offer outdoor, tented seating but when it’s hot and sunny outside that can be a bit rough so we normally opt for indoor seating.
I ordered 1 drink and 3 snacks but I got my order after 3 guys who ordered 1 meal and drink for each person. What went wrong? You should finished my order first, not only I ordered first, but my orders were snacks, not the full meal.
Zero stars if possible, these people just want your money.. Such a rude and unpleasant staff
