Very reasonable price and tasty foods. Staffs are very busy but they do their best to attend our requests and refill our tea pots. Enjoy our gathering there
I had mala hotpot today and it was really good. I ordered the least spicy broth and it was just right for me. This is a very authentic hotpot restaurant in Los Angeles! I chose the $29 dinner and I had beef, pork, lamb, seafood and all kinds of veggies. The food quality is good and all the servers were very attentive. Aside from the ingredients that you can cook in your soup, there are various side dishes, desserts, fruits, and condiments to choose from. It was a very enjoyable dining experience. Will definitely come back again soon!
Ordered a variety of dim sum and it all hit the mark of excellence. All the items were large in size and of good quality. The pan fried vermicelli was a big hit. Must order when there!!! The service by the waiter Tony was also excellent eventhough it was a Full House Friday. Thank you !!!
I stumbled upon a newly opened hot pot restaurant. Previously, I had enjoyed dim sum at this location, but as I passed by, I was surprised to see it had transformed into an all-you-can-eat hot pot place. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try. Being a weekday, I figured I wouldn't overindulge with the all-you-can-eat option. While other set menus were pricier, they offered more variety. As a hot pot enthusiast who prefers lamb slices, I opted for the most affordable set menu at $29 per person. The menu boasted six soup bases, including a delicious fish maw chicken option. Unlimited drinks complemented the freely available beef and lamb slices, along with an assortment of vegetables for the hot pot. Their seafood impressed me—fresh large shrimp, fish slices, and shrimp paste offered excellent value. The spacious restaurant, though potentially empty-feeling during slow hours, featured comfortable seating and pristine tablecloths. A dizzying array of condiments awaited at the sauce station. Snacks, desserts, and sago pudding were also on offer, with desserts substantial enough to serve as main courses. The waiter's enthusiasm and friendliness contributed to an overall pleasant dining experience
Celebrated a birthday dinner in a private room at Tang Gong Seafood Restaurant —fantastic food, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. A memorable evening for all!
Excellent hot pot place. The meats and seafood are very good quality. The prices are good and service is excellent.
Amazing deal for AYCE hot pot!! Fresh meat, seafood, veggies! Great service. Best kept secret of Arcadia tbh

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great food, service, and vibes! Tang Gong serves truly authentic Chinese dishes — flavorful, fresh, and beautifully plated. The staff were friendly and attentive. We especially loved the spacious KTV rooms — perfect for parties and get-togethers. Highly recommend!
My husband and I went to Tang Gong Restaurant around three times a week sometime five day. This is our kitchen. We loved the dim sum, it had a lot of items 😋 we can choose and the tea we was Free. I really love it. Some time I will order Chow mein, it was delicious The place is elegance and comfortable. The employee is very friendly, the owner so generous, they treat you like a family. We love to go there. I am highly recommended.
Two friends recommended this place within the same week so we just had to try it out. It did not disappoint. The food came out hot, delicious and worth every penny. This is going to be our go to on weekdays from now on.
Good food. Nice service. Large variety of dim sum. More than usual places. Will definitely visit again
Best dim sum I've ever been to! 😍 Everything was so fresh, not too oily, flavourful, and delicate. Our family especially loved the salted pork ribs & watercress porridge and pan-fried taro (amazing!). I also think the pan-fried turnip cake was one of the best I had too, it was nice and fluffy, which I never had like this before. For sweet / savory tooth out there, my brother-in-law loves the bbq pastry puff! We are already planning to come back next week!
nice food, good quality and volume. you must try this special dish, pan-fried vermicelli with beef, very special and tasty. Would go again just for this vermicelli
This restaurant was very busy during the lunch time, was seated and served very fast. We ordered several different types of food, they were all wonderful!!! Highly recommended!!!

Great dim sum and slightly cheaper than competing restaurants and free tea! Their lunch entrees are generous as well.

Some of the 燒賣(Siu Maai) was grossly huge, but that meant I was getting more bites of food for my money! 😋 👍🏻 Can't complain. I think they can replace some of their tables to accomodate more smaller crowds of 2-3 people. We had a giant table for just 2, and it felt like a waste of space. There's nothing stopping them from setting up booth seating. Plenty of space for that. What we ordered tasted on par, but we had one dish that didn't come, until we were going to pay for the check. When we alerted them, we were going to cancel that item, but that's when the other lady finally brought it over and apologized. I guess we're Even Steven then.
Service is good. Food is average. I like the chicken feet doesn't have the orange color like the other typical places. Most of the dimsum $5.39 on weekdays. No charge for tea.
Dou Lao Fang Restaurant - Update Review (October 2, 2024) This is my third update on Dou Lao Fang, and I visited today for their recently reintroduced dim sum. I have to say, the dim sum is back and better than ever! We tried the shrimp egg roll and BBQ pork puff pastry, and both were simply amazing. You can tell these dishes are the work of a master dim sum chef. During our visit, we bumped into the new owners, Jason and Ellen, who were incredibly friendly. They informed us that the restaurant will soon be changing its name to Tang Gong Seafood, a famous Cantonese seafood restaurant from China. They’re relocating their Monterey Park Tang Gong Seafood location to this spot in Arcadia, replacing the current hot pot theme. I’m eagerly looking forward to the new menu. Based on their Monterey Park location and the reputation of their Chinese restaurants, I know we’re in for some delicious food! ( one month ago) Here's an updated review for Dou Lao Fang in Arcadia: --- I feel compelled to write this updated review because my previous one is now outdated. Since my last visit, Dou Lao Fang has undergone a significant change—they no longer offer dim sum. If you're planning to visit for dim sum, you'll be disappointed. The owner has transformed the restaurant into a self-service hot pot place. While the concept might appeal to some, I found the prices to be quite high for what’s offered. Although they have a menu with items under $20, the selection is limited and not particularly enticing. If you're looking for traditional Chinese cuisine, especially dim sum, this is no longer the place to go. Unfortunately, Dou Lao Fang has moved in a different direction, and it may not meet the expectations of those seeking the familiar flavors of Chinese classics.
Pretty decent spot, gets pretty busy during weekend. Ordered an assortment of items from menu, no complaints!

Came here for dimsum on New Year’s Day. They handled the crowd well. Food came out fast, hot, fresh, tasty. Not sure who decided to paint the walls inside all bright red, though.

It was an okay experience. Our group of 10 opted for the $29 per person hot pot deal, but we arrived a couple of hours before closing. Based on reviews and photos, it didn’t feel like we got the full value for what we paid. For example, one plate of vegetable, one plate of seafood and one bowl of ground shrimp for us all to share. Really??? We also weren’t aware that drinks were included and felt rushed throughout the meal. The atmosphere was uncomfortable at times. Although we’re Asian, we’re not Chinese, and it seemed like we were being stared at and even talked about by some of the staff with occasional obvious glares. The food quality was just average, but our main server and the hostess were very kind and welcoming, which we appreciated and why I gave them two stars. We probably wouldn’t dine here again since we’re not from the area. If you’re considering the hot pot option, I wouldn’t recommend it for large groups. To the staff and owner: Please ensure all guests are treated with kindness and fairness, regardless of their race or background. As a newer establishment, maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment is crucial to building a strong reputation and retaining customers.
This might be one of the worst dim sum spots I've ever been to. Wanted to try something new in the area so decided to come here Sunday morning. No wait to get seated for a party of 2 and the menu actually had some interesting options besides the classics so things were looking hopeful. Once the food came, however, my attitude quickly changed. The first two items to come out were the fried taro cake and pan-fried turnip cake. Both were cold which left us with a bad initial impression. Told the server and they took them back to the kitchen to reheat. We also ordered siu mai, the chive dumplings, and the stuffed eggplant with shrimp paste. So bland and tasteless (and textures felt super off) that we didn't finish anything even though we were starving. You're better off getting dim sum next door at New Fusion. Service was fine and relatively attentive, so giving them an extra star for that. But with so many better dim sum options in the area, don't waste your time or your money coming here if you're craving dim sum.

Terrible Service – Extremely Disappointed We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, especially considering it was during a busy holiday weekend. While the waitlist for a table was surprisingly short (less than 20 minutes), the service after being seated was absolutely unacceptable. After we were seated, we waited over 20 minutes without being acknowledged or offered even a glass of water. We tried to flag down servers multiple times by raising our hands, but we were completely ignored. Eventually, one server did come by and took our handwritten order, but even then, it took forever for the order to be placed into the system — or at least we assumed it wasn’t placed, because we never received any drinks or confirmation. The order sheet wasn’t even returned to us to confirm anything. To make matters worse, a table that was seated after us received both their drinks and food shortly after sitting down. Meanwhile, we were still waiting with no communication from the staff. The breaking point came when we tried to ask for help again. A server who was cleaning the table next to us responded rudely in Cantonese with a sharp and unpleasant "What?" — his tone was dismissive and made it clear he had no intention of helping us. That moment completely ruined our lunch experience. What’s most frustrating is that we were very patient and tried to give the benefit of the doubt. But after being ignored, disrespected, and still not receiving any food or drink, we decided to leave. We won’t be coming back and definitely won't recommend this place to our friends or family. It’s unfortunate because we saw some servers working very hard and clearly overwhelmed, but the one with the bad attitude stood out — not just for being rude, but also for not helping or contributing much at all. We hope the owner seriously evaluates the staff and improves the overall management, especially during peak hours. Without better customer service and team accountability, it’s hard to see how this place will survive long term.
