Loved this place. Had the Spicy Ribeye and it was fantastic. I don't normally order steaks when I go out because of how often they are over priced and not good... Not this place. Excellent steak. Everyone at the table has steak and none of us had left overs. We had reservations which was nice to and the service is great. My old fashioned was ok.. Probably the only think that night that wasn't perfect.
Me And My Wife Had An Awesome Meal At Firebirds In Eastchase On Our Date Night. For Our Appetizer, We Had Crab Corn Fritters And Garlic Parmesan Fries, Which Was Outstanding. For Our Entree, My Wife Had The Grilled Chicken Nachos And I Had The Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon With Grilled Shrimp On Top, With A Side Of Lobster Fundue And Garlic And Herb Mashed Potatoes, And This Meal Had Both Of Our Taste Buds Roaring. Marcie, Our Waitress, Was Outstanding, And She Was On Point With Helping Us Out With A Marvelous Meal. We Will Definitely Recommend This Establishment To Our Family And Friends, And To Let Them Know About The Great Hospitality And Atmosphere, Just Fantastic.
Went for lunch on a Tuesday at 1:30. Promptly greeted and I asked to sit at the bar. Service was excellent. Food is amazing. I had the Seared Tuna Superfoods Salad and ordered a Lump Crab Cake for a side. The salad is quite large and offers plenty of seared tuna. The salad will feed two people easily. The crab cake was good, nothing out of the ordinary. I will definitely stop in again, for dinner, next time I'm in Montgomery. Highly recommended.
Attended a company dinner and enjoyed ourselves. We had a party of six and had a Christmas Dinner. I had a Blackberry mint mule to start the dinner. I then had the Philly Cheese steak egg rolls with thai chili sauce which were an excellent appetizer. I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs which were also fall off the bone tender. The bread they offer is also good. It was crowded but not super busy on a Tuesday night around 6-7pm. Average meals are around 30$
Ate dinner this evening . I had the honey glazed chicken that was recommended by Patrick. Very good and juicy, as well as the asparagus. Husband got 14 oz NY strip that was very tender and tasty. Off the Clock cocktail very good also. He kept water and tea refills coming. Service by Patrick was very good. Don’t go often but when we return, will definitely request him.
Had Luncheon. A great restaurant with bar, booths, Chairs, and outside seating. Nice service and great taste. Ambience is great as well. Inside the mall, so plenty of parkings. No salmon was available when I ordered, so do check the availability before ordering. Interior design is so nice with sober look. Wines on a wall and Liquor decoration at the bar to watch.
Everything was amazing. Our drinks were delicious (lemon drops), and my entree was parmesan crushed chicken, which was fresh and fulfilling. I had the carrot cake for dessert. It was delectable. I'm so sorry I don't remember our servers name but we had a party of 12 on 7/20 at 6 pm. SHE WAS TOP TIER.
My husband and I were going to go to another restaurant to celebrate our birthdays but they weren’t opened yet. That was a big blessing in disguise. If you haven’t been to Firebirds at 4 on a Monday then you are missing out. It’s a late lunch so you can save your hunger but an early enough dinner that your body has time to process the food. Bonus was how quiet and relaxing the place felt. Our server Lucy was so very sweet and you will be very lucky to have her serve you! She let us know of the Monday Wine Down special so we treated ourselves to an amazing Moscato drink. The steaks we bought were made perfect with the best flavor. The sweet tea is definitely the kind who loves the southern sweet style and mashed potatoes and baked potato were made perfectly. She then surprised us with a special desert to celebrate our birthdays. It was all so amazing I didn’t even think to take pictures before. The personally signed birthday cards were the best and capped off our date. I look forward to going back again really soon!
Hey Hey everybody!!! I had the pleasure of dining at an awesome restaurant in my city of Montgomery, AL “Firebirds Wood Fired Grill”. This place has such an ambiance! The atmosphere is one for date night or birthday 🎉 this particular celebration was in fact a birthday celebration! The service was wonderful and the birthday girl got a special dessert and everything was so worth it! I recommend if you’re in the Montgomery area to bring your family or your date to FireBirds I believe you will have a great experience!
Beautiful atmosphere, fun staff, and delicious food. Everything I needed for a great Saturday evening. Our waitress was Alyssa, and her energy was great. Very fun and quick with the service. I got a Cheeseburger w/ fries, the Big Daddy chocolate cake and ordered 1 Lemonade Drop cocktail 🍸 and a Double Diamond cocktail 🍸 I favored the Lemonade Drop more. Pretty sweet with a sugar rim. The place really started to get filled up around 7pm, and there was a bit of a wait, maybe 10-15mins but it was worth it.
Came here for my birthday & like always, food was amazing. I ordered the Queso Lobster & spinach chip dip appetizer & it was so delicious. I also ordered the salmon with a strawberry lemonade for the drink. My son ordered the 7oz steak with Mac and cheeses , daughter ordered the wings and deviled eggs- Everything was delicious. Waitress was polite, attentive and knowledgeable . Is and will be one of my top spots to visit
10/10!!! Some of the best food we have had and the service was top notch! (This is coming from frequent Downtown Chicago Steakhouse goers) Kelsey was such a sweet server. We loved her! I ordered the pork chop w/ carrots and street corn. *Chef’s kiss* the Cajun Ribeye was magnificent with the Au Gratin potatoes. Got it cooked medium and it was very tender. We also ordered the red and white sangria; both of them were good. If you like sweet wine go with the white sangria. We also ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls & ahi tuna as appetizers and both dishes were bomb! We were celebrating and were treated to the crème brûlée cheesecake bites and omg! So good. We don’t like cheesecake typically, but with the brûlée & fresh strawberries and chocolate sauce it just took it to a whole different level. Our experience was so awesome. Kelsey was on top of everything and made fabulous suggestions. She gave us a warm welcome to Alabama. We will definitely be back!
I randomly chose to eat here randomly... and o would gladly do it again! The food was amazing, as was the atmosphere and staff! My server, Hannah, despite being busy, never made me feel forgotten or overlooked. I know the picture that has my Lobster Fondue Salmon and Au Gratin Potatoes in it, the potatoes look burnt, but it was perfectly crispy cheese, I am just bad at asking pictures. 10 out of 10 may just have to travel the hour and a half to Montgomery, just eat here again!
Traveled in on business and stopped in for dinner. I opted for a seat at the bar. It was still happy hour so the bar was busy, but the staff were extremely attentive. Two other people sat down around the same time I did, and the bartender quickly got our drink orders, came back to take our orders, remembering all 3 without writing anything down. My dinner salad came out quickly, prepared as I requested. It’s a little hard to tell from this picture, but the salad is HUGE! The steak was cooked medium rare, as I had asked. The meat had such a good flavor, and was complimented by the dressing perfectly. I was unable to finish it, but it was incredibly delicious. The only negative is sitting by the bar, the rotating door makes a crazy sound every time someone enters, it needs a little WD40 or something for the noise. I kept thinking it was an emergency type noise (ambulance or fire), and a few others around me did too. Enjoyed my dinner experience here and would definitely return.
We stopped in after shopping, and I’m so glad we did. We both ordered the pick 3. First of all, the bread is 🤌🏻. Sort of crispy crust with a super soft inside, and butter that tastes homemade. Next was the chili. Topped with onions and cheese, loaded with meat and a delicious pepper forward taste. Exactly what you’d expect for a steakhouse chili. Then the main course. I had the prime rib. Probably 2 inches thick and cooked to a beautiful and flavorful medium rare. The seasoning was perfect, the juice dip was all I used, although the horseradish dip was outstanding. The loaded baked potato was everything you’d want a loaded baked potato to be. My wife had the sirloin (medium). It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The vegetables had just the right amount of seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were definitely made from scratch with a nice lumpy texture and great flavor. The desert… that was just a heavenly trip down flavor lane. I had the brownie sundae and my wife had the creme brûlée cheesecake.
We had an amazing experience and our server Britanny was excellent. The food was great, she accommodated all of our request and needs and really went out of her way to ensure we had a a memorable experience. The food was also exceptional. Thank you to the team and Kudos to the tram and thank you for the experience.
On Saturday Oct 25, 2025 at 4:30 pm, I had my daughter’s 50th birthday dinner at Firebird’s in the private dining area (Table 401). We were a party of 10 and brought in flowers, balloons, cake, and gifts. The food was really good, the area was nice and created the perfect atmosphere for our event. Our server, Nik, was the best, very pleasant and attentive, always serving with a smile. Nik even sang along with us which added to our fun!! He was part of our celebration at that point!! We enjoyed singing happy birthday several times during the evening. Thanks Nik for contributing to our good time at Linda’s 50th Birthday dinner at Firebird’s! Loved the private dining area!! You served us very well and we appreciate it! God Bless you always! Sandra Young 10-25-2025.
We made a reservation at Firebirds and were seated right away. Our waitress was wonderful—friendly and attentive. She let us know she’d bring us fresh, hot bread once it was ready. After about 15–20 minutes, the bread came out—it was just one roll for four people, which made us laugh as we split it into quarters. Once our entrees arrived, all was forgiven! We had ribs with fruit and fries, and everything was perfect. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with the most flavorful sauce, the fruit was sweet and fresh, and the fries had the perfect crisp. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend! (especially the ribs!!!)
I went to firebird for The first time last night and I was not disappointed. If it's your first time and you want to try a little of everything on the menu, I would try the three-course meal for $35 . You get a soup or a salad and entree and a dessert . It's a wonderful deal!! The food was delicious, The staff was friendly in the atmosphere was so fun. 10 out of 10 would absolutely recommend again!!
I dined here about two weeks ago for my best friend’s birthday. My server was great! I think her name was Leah. She recommended the brownie for dessert. They even gave us cheesecake for the birthday girl and a card.
We celebrated our anniversary on Sept. 6th with a very nice dinner at Firebirds. The waitress was a lady named Sarah. I hope I have the name right. She was highly attentive to our every need. She was one of the best servants we have ever experienced. So hats off to the management for their leadership! And most definitely, we appreciate the service given to us by Sarah!! Please give her a big raise!! Thank you !!
I got the privilege of getting served by both Kelsey and Jalia! They were amazing! Ashlyn was also ray of sunshine and checked up on us a few times! Great experience!
🌟 Exceptional Service from Gabriel at Firebird's in Montgomery I want to take a moment to recognize Gabriel, the 16-year-old server who handles pick-up and curbside orders at Firebird's in Montgomery. His professionalism and politeness truly stood out during my recent visit on 9/28 There was a small mix-up with the food order—understandable given how similar the names Daniel and Danielle sound. Gabriel immediately took ownership of the situation, even though it wasn’t his fault. He sincerely apologized and showed genuine concern about making things right. I reassured him that the responsibility really fell on the driver, who should have double-checked the name before taking the order. Gabriel’s maturity, grace, and accountability were impressive, especially for someone so young. Firebird's is lucky to have such a respectful and dedicated team member. Keep up the great work, Gabriel!
The manager Ashlen was very helpful. Kelsey was the best Waitress ever!!!! She NEVER let my glass run out of water and I mean NEVER!!! She had the best attitude and made our dining experience a great one! If you go to Firebirds, I hope you are lucky enough to get Kelsey atleast once!! Definitely two thumbs up!! 👍👍
Food was great, service was excellent! Samuel really was impressive. He memorized 4 complicated orders right at the table and delivered the order perfectly. Ask for Samuel if you want top tier excellent service.
I had an amazing time at Firebirds wood fired grill in Montgomery for our anniversary !My server Chloe was super fast and attentive. I got the 9 ounce fillet, it was cooked to perfection and came bacon wrapped, I highly recommend the experience! She brought a plate beautifully decorated and a card, and several members of the staff stopped by to congratulate us. Amazing!
I’ve had a great experience at Firebirds in Montgomery the last few times I’ve visited! The service has been outstanding, and Christina did an excellent job taking care of us. The hostess were even very welcoming. The salmon with the chili rub was delicious as always and definitely one of my favorite dishes. Firebirds continues to be one of my favorite spots in town!
Jalia was our server and she was absolutely amazing!! We had the best kid free night!! Food was 10/10 and staff was 10/10! Absolutely recommend for anyone in the Eastchase area looking for good food at a reasonable price!
Amazing food, we did my OTS graduation here. They were able to sit all of us (13 people) and serve us very quickly and made us all feel very special and taken care of. I cant thank the management and staff enough for their help in making my military graduation special and memorable
My server, Brittany, was very attentive and kind. I ordered the Steak Penne and was definitely not left disappointed! Would also recommend the spinach lobster queso or the wings as an appetizer.
Some girls from work and myself were in town for a work trip and stopped to eat dinner. We all got the garlic sirloin steak it was delicious. The service was great our waitress Kelsey and the manager Ashlyn were fabulous!
We dined here recently and had a great experience with both food and service. Our waitress Maddie was engaging, professional and timely. We would definitely come back here!
My experience at Firebirds is always pleasant. Our server Carmelia was so nice and her customer service is top tier! I got the Smokehouse burger and tater tots. Delicious! The manager Ashlyn is also so kind.
Had the chili and salmon club sandwich. Both were excellent. The house label Chardonnay was a very pleasant surprise! The wait staff and manager were very pleasant and accompanied.
Listen, Mary Lou is by far my favorite person. She completely made my day! Customer service was impeccable and probably one of the only people outside my wife and my mother that had made me just say yes ma’am with no talking back! Food was great but Mary Lou is the star!
This restaurant is amazing! Everything was good from the drinks to the steak and sides. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls are a must try. The customer service is just as good as the food. My waiter Nick was attentive, extremely friendly and made sure everything came out in a timely fashion. I will be back and highly recommend this restaurant!
While traveling, we wanted to take a break from fast food and the road, and we couldn’t have found a better place. From the moment we walked in, MaryLou, Chris, and the entire staff treated us like family. Their friendliness and warm conversation turned what could have been just another meal into a highlight of our trip. The service was excellent—attentive without being rushed—and the food was every bit as wonderful as the people serving it. You can tell they care about both quality and hospitality. Instead of just grabbing a bite, we left feeling refreshed, well-fed, and genuinely welcomed.
Top notch experience today! Andre took care of us. My wife has a dietary restriction and there was an error with her meal. Andre made sure we received a replacement dish at no extra cost. He also went the extra mile by helping us celebrate our anniversary with a cheesecake desert. Firebird’s never disappoints!
Thank you for getting service right! This is the fourth time I’ve eaten out this weekend. I am an introvert on the spectrum. Camille is the first server who didn’t get frustrated at my specific requests. Very sweet and attentive. Thank you so much. Much appreciated.
This is the 4th time we have rented the private space for a small event. The food was delicious and our server, Chloe, was amazing. She was patient, knowledgeable, and kept things very smooth for our large party. I would recommend the restaurant for your small events and definitely ask for Chloe!
Just got done with a dinner here! Ashlyn was on as the manager and Syana was our waitress. She was absolutely incredible! I felt like I was talking to a member of my family rather than a person I had just met for the first time! She was so attentive and so kind! The food was also delicious! Definitely recommend! Especially if Syana is working! Thank you again!
My best girlfriend and I came in today to grab a birthday lunch. My compliments to the Chef as the food was fantastic. I wish I could remember the servers name because she made the visit extra special with a birthday card and a written birthday message on my dessert plate. We chose the lemon cake, yum! To top it off the Manager (I believe she said her name was Mary Lou) stopped by our table to check on us and I could tell she really cares about the restaurant. I watched her help her staff clean tables. Thank you Firebirds in Montgomery for all that you do. We will definitely be back.
Firebirds Woodfired Grill is amazing!! We have never had a bad experience and the service is always warm and accommodating! Food is always tasty and they have a great selection of things to choose from. There is truly something for everybody!! I highly recommend everyone to visit while they’re in town!
Very comfortable and serene, I loved the food and atmosphere. I loved the Salmon and the BLT salad was great . The waitress was very nice and great with service I will love to go back again, the price of what we ordered was awesome. For those that haven't went must go. " Great Atmosphere"
We stopped in on New Year’s eve and sat at the bar we got there 30 minutes before close and Nick was awesome so helpful our drinks and food were great. We had apps and cocktails. We come and sit at the bar often and never have a bad experience. We eat out a lot in Montgomery and Firebirds is one of the best for service.
When I walked in it was spectacular. I was greeted by so many smiling faces and warm hellos. My server was Maddie and she was wonderful. This is not my first nor will it be my last visit. This has become one of my favorite dinner spots.
Food and service was great. Very busy, had to sit outside on patio but wasn’t bad at all. The smoked chicken is half of a chicken so come hungry!!
Exelente
We had an absolutely amazing experience tonight at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday! We were a party of 19, and everything was handled with excellence from beginning to end. Sam provided top-tier customer service. He was professional, attentive, patient, and truly made sure our entire group felt welcomed and valued. With a party our size, that level of service is not easy, but he made it look effortless. The food, the timing, the atmosphere—everything was on point. You can definitely tell there is strong leadership and new management in place because the experience, the service, and the overall energy of this restaurant has truly elevated. It’s turning around in the best way, and it shows. Five stars, hands down! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re looking for great food and exceptional service, this is a place you must experience for yourself. Ask for Sam… you will not be disappointed!
My husband and I had dinner here on a Saturday (last night) evening without a reservation. Our experience was extremely pleasant. Brittany H. was our waitress and Camille occasionally helped. Brittany was one of the most attentive waitresses I have ever had. We didn’t have to ask for anything and she was always paying attention to our table even from the other side of the restaurant making sure we weren’t needing anything. She never forgot anything. She was super detailed, organized, and thoughtful. She answered all questions thoroughly and knowledgeably. You can tell she really cares about her guests and their experience. Camille was very sweet and bubbly everytime we encountered her as well. Our appetizers, food, and drinks were all great. It was an overall very nice evening and I would definitely recommend sitting in Brittany’s section. :)
My mother and I have come here a number of times for lunch, the quality of the food wasn't good when we first started coming nine months ago, but it has improved due to a new chef who seems to care a lot about his. There are certain items that aren't good and that are good so lunch can be disappointing, but the service has always been great and the atmosphere has been solid.
First off the location is accessible and inviting and the staff were overly friendly and welcoming. I came for lunch however, the selection was limited in choices in my opinion. I had fish tacos and mixed green salad. The highlight was the mix green salad as it had apples, and pecans amongst the mixed greens. I found the fish tacos to be bland, but we’re accompanied by various seasonings that contributed to some flavor. I cannot stress enough how kind and diligent the service staff was as they waited on us and cared for our every need. This is not a location that I chose and if given the choice may not be my first choice. However, I think others will find it very appealing and inviting. I would recommend anyone to come and make their own opinion I believe regardless, the Firebird Wood Fired Grill will make their best effort to make your evening one to remember.
Update: 2024 Me and my sister tried the ribs, which were good. The carrot cake was on point, but the bread was no good. The salad should have been chopped better. The waitress was very attentive. The potatoes were very good. 2023 = The salmon, mixed vegetables, was good. The Sirloin Steak was not tender and the same with the hamburger.
Very good meal. Nice choice for special occasions. Definitely recommend a reservation and select patio seating to enhance your dining experience. Good service. All dishes were prepared and plated well. Although some steaks were slightly more done than requested, the quality of the meats kept them tender and moist. Au gratin potatoes are a must side dish. Dessert options ate excellent, plentiful enough to share.
This visit at the Firebirds Wood Grill was amazing. I went with a group of 7 and we had a ball. Our server, Marci , was absolutely amazing and she gave us the best service possible. Collectively, we all liked our food and enjoyed each other’s company. We all started with the Lobster Spinach Queso Dip with chips and the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. I got a Smokehouse burger with broccoli and tater tots. 2 other people got Smokehouse burgers as well and they got fries. 2 people got Baja Shrimp and they enjoyed it but they though the noodles could have been a little bit creamier. 1 person got the Durango Burger and the burger was cooked well but they did not like the consistency of the ingredients. The last person got a Spinach Salmon Salad and he loved it so much that he cleaned the bowl. In all our experience was amazing and I will definitely be coming back in the future.
I visited Firebirds for the first time recently on a date. We just got appetizers since we had a late lunch but what we ordered was good for the most part. My only issue was that the lobster queso was on the thin or runny side. I want to try this place again soon to test them and think they can get to 5 stars...
We had a large party and were seated on time per our reservations. The waitress and waiter who served us were very nice and attentive. There was only one snafu where one of our member's food was late, but they comped his food, so all good. As far as the food itself, it was okay. Nothing to write home about. It didn't taste as seasoned as a different Firebirds in Virginia some years ago. The food I ordered (bacon deviled eggs and the salmon) both needed salt and pepper to improve the taste a bit. Perhaps the company opted to make the food a bit more bland to appeal to all tastes. I highly recommend the lemonade drop. It was delicious. Overall, it's not a bad place. The ambiance is great, and the people are great as well.
Happened to be in Montgomery, AL looking for a nice atmosphere for decent food and drink. The ambience of Firebirds did not disappoint. My experience of people of Montgomery has been unexpectedly wonderful with politeness, smiles, and pleasant demeanor all around at every age. The service was no less wonderful. As for food, the prime rib sliders disappointed. Thinly sliced over cooked meat with more crunchy onion than meat was not remniscent of southern cooking. This is the only place I take issue with service - a server is last to see the food before presenting to the customer. If the food is not on point, have it remade and explain to the customer it's going to be a little longer. We will appreciate that more than handing off the less than expected dish and hope for the best, or worse, upset the customer. That said, the manager rectified the matter with an alternate dish I requested - the crispy cauliflower. Wonderfully prepped, on point, and delicious. For this, my 4 stars sit well.
My husband and I went there recently while we were attending a conference. We heard about it through someone that worked at a retail store and we’re glad we went there instead of the other place we were thinking about. Whereas the service was pretty slow, our waitress was nice. My husband ordered a chicken pasta dish and he said he would give it a four 4️⃣. He said it was hot, well prepared, and tasty. I had the AHI tuna salad, and whereas I loved the tuna, I wasn’t crazy about the various ingredients they put in my salad. It said there were ancient greens grains in my salad, but there wasn’t too many of them and there seem to be some garbanzo beans or chickpeas, something like that, plus it tasted somewhat peppery to me, however, I loved the tuna! 🍣 I would say that I was not crazy about their ranch dressing at all and would probably give it a two 2️⃣ We were both hungry and so the bread was a plus and we enjoyed being able to eat some of that while we were waiting on our food.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this place and I must say, the moment I stepped in, I was blown away by the phenomenal decor and infrastructure. The attention to detail in the design and layout of the restaurant is truly impressive, creating a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The service was top-notch – our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The staff's professionalism and friendliness added significantly to the overall ambiance, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was lively yet intimate, perfect for a night out with friends or a special occasion. The background music was tasteful, and the lighting was just right, adding to the restaurant's charm. Now, onto the food – we ordered the medium rare steak and grilled chicken. While both dishes were flavorful, the steak and chicken were slightly chewy, which took away from the overall experience. However, the portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was excellent. The real highlight of our dessert course was the crème brûlée cheesecake, which was absolutely divine. The creamy texture, the caramelized sugar on top, and the cheesecake's richness all combined to create a truly unforgettable dessert experience. In conclusion, while the food could use a bit of refinement, the exceptional decor, outstanding service, and fantastic atmosphere make this place a must-visit destination in Montgomery, AL. With a bit of tweaking in the kitchen, this restaurant has the potential to be truly unbeatable. Highly recommended for its ambiance and service, and definitely worth a try for the adventurous foodie.
We stopped in for drinks and apps and ended up staying for dinner. Chicken nachos were good and the martini was great with 3 hand stuffed bleu cheese olives. She had the 7 oz. fillet and I had the 12 oz. aged ribeye. The steaks were grilled just right. The loaded baked potato was the perfect choice for a side. Our server did a great job and gave some good recommendations. Loved the atmosphere and would highly recommend this steak house.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's very inviting and the receptionist was kind and prompt. Our waitress was incredibly kind but not very attentive. She seems to disappear for long periods of time but she was helpful when she was serving our table. We were disappointed to find that our food was not hot. The taste and cook temp on my salmon was perfection. The quality of my food was top notch I just wished it has been served hot. This experience wasn't bad but it wasn't great. If I lived in the area I would have given it another try but since we were simply stopping on our drive home I likely won't be back.
Tried the steak penned pasta. It was just ok. I did enjoy the lobster and spinach dip though. However, our waitress, Tatiyanna, was top notch. She was very attentive, went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of, and recommended good options.
First visit on 24th Anniversary night for me and my husband. Made reservations, but didn't matter. Had a short wait to be seated. Great waitress. Menu choices are good. Felt like a pub inside of a steakhouse. Long wait for meal. Ordered wings are shareable. They were good. Ordered steak well done and it didn't quite happen. When talking to management the only resolution he had was an apology with I wish you made me aware earlier we could recook it. Nooooooo. It was close to 10 and I didn't want to wait. Whatever happen to offering a discount, dessert or something to compensate? Instead we got, "the new girl struggles some on the grill". This would never be the case at Outback or Longhorns! Really. Did I mention that there was a whole fork by our table on the floor that nobody felt compelled to move? REALLY!
GREETINGS! I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU! First review of food, then we shall discuss the DETAILS of the visit... Server: Carmilia Manager: Nick CAPRESE PASTA PROS: Lots of Noodles Chicken fully cooked Drizzled in Basmic Vinaigrette (not too much) Cons More overall flavor (such as basic seasoning) rating 8/10 CILANTRO CHICKEN PROS 2 breast Great taste (crispy around the edges) Soft texture like being marinated for 2-3 days Cons Forgot Jack Cheese Sauce 1st breast skim line of fully cooked 2nd breast ***UNCOOKED*** had to return -texture was different (perhaps from being uncooked... ) *3rd breast came out smoking like Joe Frazier -- it was top notch SMOKED WINGS APPETIZIER PROS Smoked flavor crispy for those who like the crunch Cons Overly cooked Dry rating 7.9/10 Buy again: yes, if I was really hungry *I think the cook was having a bad day... PHILLY CHEESESTEAK EGG ROLLS PROS BURSTING FLAVOR CRISPY CRUST OVERALL GREAT CHOICE CONS n/a rating 9.8/10 BROWNIE DESERT pros Good brownie w/ ice-cream rating 8.6/10 Overall Statements and Judgements Firstly, I would like to thank my server Carmilia. She was very professional and helpful in this experience. As we were being seated, I asked to be seated in the booth and was guided by my waiter Shay to sit across from the booth because the ceiling was leaking. It had rain earlier that day. After getting and conquering the overly cooked wings and the cheesesteak egg rolls (9.8/10) part of the ceiling fell and crashed unto the table I requested to sit at... Yes, that happened. It gets more interesting. I get my main the Cilantro Chicken and start to eat. I was hungry I admit but I knew I should have stopped. I ate the first breast which was very loose like being marinated but it wasn't right.... I still ate it (SMH). The second breast was super soft inside and had a gristle in it which was confusing to me. I then just gave up eating and informed Carmilia. She took care of us. While waiting on the chicken, a big piece of the ceiling fell unto the table behind us. The manager had been notified and was getting people on the way from my understanding because the leak turned into a major hazard and could have resulted in a major insurance claim. I was granted and new piece of chicken which came out with REDEMPTION (9.2/10) and came with the sauce which didn't come in the first meal. The sauce was needed to compliment the dish. Overall, the manager Nick was incredible with voiding the meal and the desert for the experience we received. Nick is awesome. Would I go back.... Most definitely! Food is good and the cook was replaced.
Food had good flavor overall, but execution missed the mark. The shrimp were way overcooked, and the steak came out closer to medium than the medium-rare I ordered. I sat at the bar since I was dining solo, there was a noticeable odd smell in that area, which didn’t help the experience. The bartenders were polite, but felt pretty inattentive, possibly because I wasn’t drinking alcohol. Not a bad place, just underwhelming for the price and expectations.
Food was good once we finally got it. Salad was swimming in dressing. I enjoyed the steak and fries but won’t wait this long again. Waitress seemed frustrated but did her best.
I've eaten there in years past and it had a great menu, however, the food did not appear as high end as it used to. I can't say our meal was terrible, but I guess I expected more for that price and the expectation I had from my past experience. I'd still recommended it, especially if you haven't eaten there before to compare.
Cozy atmosphere, with good quality food, but the service and kitchen can't keep up. Also, do not order a filet mignon Oscar style.... They charge $10 for it, but have no idea what they are doing... The hollandaise is runny water and there are the portion is very small... Absolutely overpriced and poorly executed. Carrot cake was great, but cheesecake was ice cold/not thawed
Once this was one of the few restaurants in Montgomery that had a nice, elegant feel. Now it has gone the way of many Montgomery restaurants, and I have to edit my previous 5 star rating down to 2 stars. Our most recent visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. We waited 10 minutes for a table in a half-empty restaurant because all of the tables were dirty. They obviously were understaffed and had not recovered from a busy lunch rush. The waiter got most of our order incorrect, then argued about it. At the end of the meal my daughter ordered a dessert that was delivered to our table with no spoons. She asked the server to please bring silverware for the dessert. Ten minutes later with the ice cream on the dessert melting we finally took silverware off of an empty table. A manager visited us several times. He looks harried, overworked, and about 17 years old. Finally, our waitress, although efficient, was a little rude. Specifically, when she only brought out 2 salads for the three of us I reminded her we were expecting one more. She said "Well I only have 2 hands." Are you kidding me? Perhaps we need to pitch in and buy Firebirds trays.
Was super excited to try this place. I ordered the steak sandwich which is supposed to come with ribeye, arugula, roasted peppers, pickled onions and Chimichurri. I ordered my steak medium. When I received the order it looked at first to be a nice warm pink center. But as I was eating the first half I noticed that half the steak was literally raw I had to pull it off and put it on the plate after waiting over 10 minutes for our server to come back I let her know that hey my steak is mostly raw. She then told us that she’s new and she would prefer to get a manager to resolve the issue. I had no problem with that. Once he came over he asked me what was wrong and I told him the steak was raw and he then apologized and asked if he can remake me a new one. I said yes please but please have it to go because we had a 2 hour car ride and this time I would prefer if the steak was medium well. He said of course and again apologized. Now I’ve worked at steak houses before and a lot of other restaurants and felt like he did everything right. He also ended up giving us a discount of $10 off our check for the inconvenience which I did really appreciate of course cause since it was remade I had no issue paying for the item. I wasn’t going to write a review because I thought my issue was resolved. Well come to find out when I finally get home after driving almost 2 hours I don’t even have the right sandwich. The sandwich I received wasn’t even on the ciabatta roll. It wasn’t a ribeye it was a sirloin steak. The steak was cooked well done not medium well. There was no roasted red peppers, pickled onions, arugula, or chimichurri sauce. It was literally a roll with sirloin steak, lettuce, tomato slices and either mayo or garlic aioli. Even though we didn’t pay the full price and got the $10 off I’m just so disappointed to find out I have the wrong sandwich. I love all the toppings that the description said it was supposed to come with and I’m also 8 months pregnant so this just disappointed a pregnant woman’s craving even worse. My husbands food came out good. And the dessert was great. But I just wish I got the right sandwich 🥺
Fast service. Maybe TOO FAST. Stopped in while traveling based on reviews. First, wine sat at bar 10 minutes before it was brought to the table. The dinner arrived a few minutes after that. At first glimpse it all looked good. But upon closer inspection I was shocked. The New York strip for the price was very disappointing. One side had a 1/4” slab of fat along it and under it was a tough layer of gristle that I had to fight to cut off. It was a wrestling match. The meat was supposed to be medium rare. The side without the fat and gristle was done closer to medium rare. The side against the 1/4” fat layer was cool and raw. 🤨 Next the baked potato was cold. Just a little warm on the outside but cold in the middle. Wouldn’t even melt the butter. I was in total shock that a $32 Strip would be served so poorly. Hot food hot and cold food cold they say. I believe this is my second bad review. I don’t usually leave bad reviews unless it is really bad. I rely on reviews as I travel. Somehow this meal did not reflect the 4.3⭐️.
My usual order is the Baja Shrimp Pasta & I haven’t been to this location in a while so I was craving this dish. Very disappointed. It was bland, no flavor whatsoever! The martini was pleasant . Also, my server was pretty absent. Only came twice—to serve my martini and to bring out the check. Please do better Firebirds
This restaurant is in a great location and the ambiance is nice and inviting and the service is good as well however the food is not good. I've tried 3 times on different dates hoping it was a one-off thing, but it was very poor everytime. Might be okay for drinks or happy hour.
Went on New Year's eve to grab a drink or two and desert while we had a babysitter. Staff was friendly enough, but the bar was cluttered with dirty dishes. I literally had to clear our own spot and the dishes stayed the whole time we were there. Watched the bartender send out several drinks in glasses that were still clearly dirty, noticably enough I watched atleast two come back. It took about 40 minutes to get a piece of cheese cake even though the restaurant wasn't busy, most of that time we spent listening to the staff complain about people having late reservations or not being cut yet and they had parties to get to. Bartender had to Google how to make both a paloma and amaretto sour.
No reservations required us to wait 30mins to be seated ordered Beacon Deviled Egg came out very soupy with no seasoning other then Sriracha not good at all Steak was good but the potatoes were not cooked they half cooked. The Baja shrimp pasta was not worth it I had to send the plate back due to all the pasta being stuck together. The second plate that was brought out looked better and taste better. Overall the waiter was amazing and very accommodating about the whole experience which is why I'm giving the restaurant 1 🌟
Our food was mostly really bad. Our booth was next to the kitchen, although there were several empty booths in better locations throughout our stay. Why? Specifically, the prime rib was hard and tasteless, like cardboard. My friend’s had a very wide layer of fat along one edge that made up about ¼ of her serving. She could not eat her mashed potatoes. She said they tasted funny. She drank about ¼ of her lemonade and then ordered water. She said it was way too sweet with not near enough lemon. At least our salads were edible, but that is about all. Dressing was store bought. Nothing special. The bread tasted good, but did taste like frozen bread. The au jus and horseradish sauce with the prime rib was good. The cost was $107. I was robbed. My friend did not want to complain. I would have. ***For anyone reading these posts, I sent the manager my full name, as requested, and never heard back from them.
Arrived there to the building smelling like gas. Was excited for the bread, but of course they don't have any available and do not offer appetizers for the trouble. Got seated, had to wait 2 hours for the meal, because mine and my husband's steak arrived raw or overcooked. The food was alright at best, and terribly overpriced. Practically never saw our waitress, but it wasn't her fault because they had her running so many tables on her own. Management acted bothered that we politely requested corrections be made and did not even apologize for the inconveniences. We were excited to try this place but we certainly won't be coming back.
This is us second time ordering from here, the FIRST TIME WO ORDERED THE BARTENDER GAVE OUR ORDER TO SOMEBODY ELSE because god knows what she was doing! That day I HAD TO WAIT ONE EXTRA HOUR AT THE RESTAURANT to get my food because they had to make it again! WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED! But still decided to gave them a second chance, today I had to stand for 35 mins to get my pickup order which was promised to be ready at 6:30pm but was given to my at 7:05pm. Even after waiting that long this is how my food looked! My burger it was so so dry, had no taste. It was supposed to have fried onions, pickles, cheese but it was just so bland and had nothing on it! And my husband ordered loaded baked potato, does that look like a loaded potato to you? No condiments were given to us with it. Extremely horrible service! Tasteless food. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Don’t come here! There are better places here in Montgomery that offer similar menu. This place is so bad! Never coming here again!
Horrible! My $50 rib eye was salty, tasted like liver and full of grisle. Hopefully the dogs will enjoy it more. Don't waste your money here! Loud, loud music, and our server seemed out of it.
After all the good times we’ve had here, the one time I wanted to take my parents-in-law out to dinner for a special occasion, everything went wrong. Our lobster spinach dip came out extremely cold. When we sent it back, we were told it would be microwaved instead of being remade, which was unacceptable. It came back warm, but the taste was off and nothing like it usually is. We then ordered our entrées: a burger that was requested to be cut, and two salads, one with chicken and one with steak. The salad with chicken came out without chicken. We sent it back, and unbelievably, it came back without chicken again. It took three attempts to get it right, and the manager had to bring it out. I honestly don’t know what was going on during this visit, but after all the hassle, we weren’t offered anything at all. This entire experience was a joke and extremely disappointing, especially for a place I always chose for special occasions. I will not be returning. still paid still tipped good. disappointing
We went to celebrate my birthday and my husband and I ordered the tomahawk pork chops and they were over cooked and salty. The lemon drop drinks from the bar tasted horrible so did the strawberry lemon drops. My sister in-law samon dish was salty as well. The manager did take the pork chops off our check and offered to get us something else but we passed and left the restaurant hungry and very disappointed. I don't think I will be going back there ever again because this is the third visit for us and something was wrong each visit, this time was the worst all around ever. Our table was a booth the first one as you first walk into the restaurant part, worst table ever and it was a lot of noise in that area.
The manager Ashlyn gives me an issue every single time I go there to spend my hard earned money! I will not be back and would not recommend you going either. The food is just as terrible as the management! Today is absolutely my last day patronizing this business!! $50 for a ribeye that appeared to be medium but was as tough as a well done! Absolutely disgusting !!
