We ended up at Livery on a whim and couldn’t be happier that we did. The vibe and atmosphere were lively but relaxed, and it immediately felt like a great spot to hang out. We grabbed seats at the bar and started with drinks — Livery Margarita and Paloma — both were really good and refreshing. For food, we shared the street corn to start (loaded with flavor and a must-try), then had the pork belly tacos and the taco salad for our entrees. Everything came out fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. Between the service, the atmosphere, and the food, Livery ended up being a great surprise and a place we’ll definitely be back to! Highly recommend!
Went during Restaurant Week and was super impressed with everything we ordered. From the free table snacks to the seasonal flan, with a big nod to our waiter for being awesome. Corn empanadas (app) - obviously made in house. Are you Midwestern? Southern? Do you like CORN?? This is the app for you! Sweet plantains - mmmm mmmm, fried plantain goodness with black bean sauce, fresh crema, and all the rest of the fixings. Delicious! Arrozo con pollo - shut UP and take my money, WHY is this guacamole not for sale??? The chicken is flavorful and moist, the rice is coated in cheese, and the pickled veggies are bright and delicious. Comes with 3 tacos for build your own enjoyment (I had more than enough of everything left for fork time later). Skirt steak - per my husband, super tender and tasty, with some fantastic butter magic happening on top. Comes with two ginormous, slap-yo-momma good polenta cakes. Can confirm because I stole half of one. Churros - tasty churros with dulce de leche, enough to share if you're into that kind of thing. Seasonal flan - apparently it was orange creamsicle season, flan was nice and creamy, with a sprinkling of sugar cookie crumbles across the top.
Enjoyed mid week lunch with a friend here in September. It was quiet, only a few tables occupied, service was prompt but not hurried. Our server Darby helped with menu choices to accommodate dietary needs and took good care of us throughout our visit. Food was excellent. The cauliflower appetiser lived up to the positive reviews I read and I agree it is very large - we split it and still took some home in a box!
2 for 2! We went to the one in Indy and had to visit here. The tacos are just amazing. Very nice fried crunch on the shell but not greasy at all. Empanadas are perfect! The corn is probably my favorite. And the blackberry tres leches was divine. The staff is also incredible. Very friendly and made our dinner even more pleasant. Can't wait to come back.
We enjoyed this restaurant. The food was flavorful and looked good. For a busy Saturday night the service was quick. There was a relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant.
Olivia J was the best server! She was so attentive and enthusiastic! After a long day of work and having to deal with mean clientele, she lifted our spirits!! We were first time visitors coming in at 9:15 on a Friday, but we didn’t feel rushed at all. The Cincinnati restaurant week deal was phenomenal! The food was absolutely delicious. As seen we ordered, The Arroz Con Pollo, Skirt Steak, Manchegi Crisp, Watermelon Aguachile, Churros, and Flan. For drinks we ordered the Rhaegal and Carriage House! The chicken was super flavorful, with a very interesting Smokey taste. The steak was very tender and filling. The two salads were absolutely amazing! I loved the the sour bite from the Watermelon Aguachile. And the dessert was AMAZING! So warm and sweet! That Carriage House was strong too! The Rhaegal is like a fancy super sweet Shirley temple! The Chicharrones were so good! Ask the server for a bag to take home, $5! So worth it!
Had dinner at the Livery this past weekend and had a wonderful experience. This made our 5th visit and we've had great food and service every time. The empanadas are absolutely amazing!!
We spontaneously popped in here one Friday night, and I'm very glad we did. It's popular, but spacious and has a heated, covered patio. I certainly didn't expect to see a menu full of Spanish/South American dishes, but there were several good-looking options. They have a full bar and a good amount of wines, but we were very pleased with the cocktails from the menu. For starters, the brussels and ceviche were both excellent. For my entree, the paella was an explosion of flavor. It had a good amount of heat and sauces/garnishes that meshed very well. The scallop and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Everybody at the table had praises for their meal. Our server was excellent and very helpful with recommendations. I think I accidentally found a new go-to spot!
We had lots of different dishes. Guacamole was really good. Cauliflower was good but we didnt like it much. Empanadas, Lamb and Enchilada was good too! Had a good time.
We decided to go last minute and it was so good! The guacamole was so good, I loved the little pickled peppers on top! I had the Paella, the shrimp were seasoned deliciously and the scallop was perfectly cooked. The waitress said it was a spicier option, I honestly could have had a lot more heat but thats just me. It was still a mouth watering choice. We will definitely be back!
I crave the Cauliflower appetizer! Empanadas are very good and don’t discount the salads. The specialty drink Hoku made with reposado tequila, agave, grilled lemon garnished with lava salt is so smooth and hits just right.
They were great... again! I wish I had more pics, but the presentation was so pleasing, I started tasting before I knew it. The server, Max, was friendly, informative, and accommodating (as usual). Even the manager Katie was attentive, kind, and thoughtful! In addition, the food is well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and comes quick. I can't wait to return!
EXCELLENT service, taco salad, queso and chips!! Margaritas are fantastic!! Leave room for the churros!😋. Our new fave!!!!
First off, our server Darby was awesome. The brussel sprouts and empenadas were good. The skirt steak was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. But the cauliflower was our favorite.
Wanted to try this place when I saw it was built in Montgomery. Excellent empanadas and the appetizers they provide are delicious. The tacos were flavorful and the peach salsa was amazing. Only thing I did not like was the store-bought tortillas for the tacos. The main highlight, where the churros for dessert excellent and fresh excellent place and we will come back
This was my first time at the livery, and I was not disappointed. The service was really good. Every time my water glass was empty, someone almost immediately came and filled it. The food also came out surprisingly quick. The chips and queso were very good. The chips tasted like they were freshly made. The steak was good, I thought it was slightly tough, which isn't uncommon for that cut if meat. The pairing with the yucca broccoli and sauce really made the dish. My son enjoyed his kid crispy chicken tacos, and the fries were really good and crunchy. The churros were very good. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and warm, and chewy on the inside. The dulce de Leche caramel was paired really well. I really enjoyed my meal and will come back to try more things on the menu.
Had the absolute best dinner experience ever here! Service was amazing, our waitress was very friendly and the food was presented beautifully. Overall it was like a fine dining experience but with a ridiculously cheap price! By far our new favorite restaurant in Cincinnati. We were recommended the Yuka fries and the lamb, both we got, and wow were they amazing. The churros were the best I’ve ever tasted!
I had an amazing time celebrating with my friends at The Livery Montgomery. This restaurant was excellent and the staff provided exceptional service. I was particularly impressed by the professionalism of our waiter. The food was of the highest quality and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend this upscale establishment to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.
Love! Love! Love! Latin food and very delicious. Shelly was our server and she was very friendly. We ordered ceviche, street corn, Brussels, steak, lamb empanadas, queso empanada, quac, cauliflower, Pialla, and churros Our favorites were the street corn and lamb empanadas and churros Highly recommend!
So delicious. Since moving back from Austin Tx, my wife and I have struggled to find food that matches what we had in Austin. Livery did not disappoint! The food was so flavorful and the Zero Proof cocktails are an amazing alternative if you do not drink. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend the churros for desert. Cannot wait to try another dish. The staff is very friendly and service was on point. One recommendation for the ceviche would be to cute tomato’s and shrimp a little so you can really pile it all up on the chips. ❤️
Showing some love for this newly discovered Livery Montgomery. Although there wasn't a bad bite to be had, stand outs include the sizzling Pan De Queso, the fresh civiche, the extremely flavorful carnita tacos, and the most amazing churros we've ever found outside of California. Also pictured below are the steak empanadas and a mocktail whose name escapes me. Highly recommend, we will be back!
10/10, tell your friends. The food was perfectly crafted and flavorful. A true gastropub with a Spanish soul, I look forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu. Atmosphere is fancy, but casual and comfortable. Free parking.
It's a smaller faire conversion spot with really good drinks (sangria and margarita). We first thought it was tapas but it's a mix of mexican spanish. Outdoor patio is heated so it's perfect for Ohio weather where you want to eat outside but can't. Pork taco was shredded and boiled (not roasted) and empanadas were a little light on ingredients. The cauliflower sharable was really good!!! Full of flavor!
Great dining experience. Upscale casual place. Drinks were delicious. Had the pan de queso to start and then the chicken tacos. My friend got a the shrimp tacos. A little too spicy for her so we switched. I love a little bit of heat and they were so good!! Also when you sit down they bring you these delicious chip/ cracker snack to nibble on.
I had the taco salad and Tres Leches both were the 💣!! I will be back to try more from the menu. The server said the menu changes regularly. You have a new fan @Livery! 🥰
We had such an awesome time! Food was excellent, super flavorful and just such a great blend of flavors. Our server was the best, from the point we entered to when we left, everything was just perfect.
Opened in April 2023, and we finally got over there. Sleek & modern interior. Service was friendly & knowledgeable with just a couple moments waiting a little longer than expected. Food was excellent. Everything was fresh and well-made. I had the Lunch Special, which is 2 empanadas and a salad - very tasty and not a bad deal for $14. We'll definitely go back and try dinner next time.
We only had guacamole, but it was delicious. Food looked great coming out of the kitchen. Very fancy drinks are available . Not much in canned domestic beer.
Excellent food! Great service! Wonderful atmosphere. We had 2 appetizers, Yuka Fries and Sweet plantains. Both were perfect. Chicken Tinga tacos were amazing. Dessert was tres leche cake and churros were perfect. Highly recommend!
I had the ceviche and Lamb both were delicious. Juan Jose was great and described the menu very nicely. Muchas gracias!
Really nice and cozy place! Ben was awesome !! it was really busy, but he made sure to take care of us! Branan is the general manager in he runs a really good restaurant!
The food was stellar. The street corn was delicious with a slight kick with I loved. The shrimp tacos were savory and spicy, and the drinks were excellent. First drink took a little longer than normal, but service greatly improved after that. Server was attentive and had great knowledge of the menu.
Holy cow. Hands down the best Latin American food in SW Ohio. Nada can suck it. There's a new boss in town.
Great location. The food was amazing! The empanadas were delicious. We got the comb. Drinks are delicious. Our server was very friendly.
Food was great (skirt steak, polenta, and broccolini and brussels). My cocktail was great (Luna). Atmosphere was great. Our server Joey was great. 5 stars all around.
The food was superb! We enjoyed the ceviche and the skirt steak was tender and flavorful. Service was excellent!
Sitting at the bar was a great choice for us to get great service from Darby. Good range of appetizers, empanadas and tacos that were easily shared. Best part was when I asked for my paella extra spicy they took me seriously - chef even came out to make sure I still could get the great flavors to still come through - they did!
Phenomenal restaurant. The yuca, ceviche, and birria were all outstanding. Great service and strong drinks. If you are looking for high end, moderately priced Latin food, this is your place.
We decided to try Livery during Restaurant Week, and we're glad we did! Our server Olivia J. was the best, and the food and service were fabulous from the initial drink order to dessert. The Arroz Con Pollo and skirt steak were perfect, as well as the empanadas, sweet plantains, and churros and flan for dessert. We had the Luna and faye from the drink menu and highly recommend. If you haven't tried Livery, you should!
I was in town for a short visit and had the opportunity to have dinner with friends at Livery. Our server, Ben was a very knowledgeable and attentive. The drinks and food were delicious. The tented area was very comfortable, even with the cold temperatures!
Stopped in for Taco week. Had the Shrimp & Carnitas tacos and both were great. Also ordered the quac, which one of the best we've had. We sat outside on the patio and the atmosphere was nice. Excellent service, and the beer was cold. We will be back.
Outstanding happy hour prices and service! We were met by wonderful staff who placed our order of margaritas and guacamole!!!! They brought us another and more courses. The patio was perfect on a beautiful evening. We love this place. You should try it. 😃
Staff were amazing. Olivia was attentive and patient. GM Branan! was so welcoming. Kitchen was running behind so they comped a app/dessert for future visit. Reward program isn't the best ($100 back after $1000 spent) but can be worth it since points never expire. A new favorite, we will be back.
Last minute dinner decision on a Friday always has its limits...most places worth eating out at have decent reservation times booked, but Livery did not. We made reservations for 7pm and walked in to a vibrant eatery with the proverbial chatter & clinking cutlery against porcelain plates. Not too loud, mind you...just loud enough to feel like you could talk without feeling like your voice was bellowing throughout the room. Tight menu w a South American vibe...Argentinan to be exact. Typical food selection for that style w empanadas, plantain tostones for apps, soups, salads & main courses...we chose to start w the Chicken Empanadas & for our entrées, the Birria, which according to our server, was new to the menu & the Skirt Steak. Room was full, but the wait wasnt too long...Bethany sipped on the Argentinan Cabernet & I a Stella w a sippin' side glass of Don Julio 1942 tequila. Empanadas came out, nice & hot, crispy & filled w a shredded chicken mixture. These were rather bland. Probably a preference thing, but both Bethany & I said the same thing. Not much flavor, salt nor spice. The main dishes came out w an incredible presentation...beautifully plated meals w color & texture. The Birria was knocked out of the park. Great flavor, tender texture sitting atop a saucy salsa-like dressing. Not you're typical super-soaked-birria dish you may be used to. The Skirt Steak was ordered Medium, but came out pretty rare...which is fine w me, but now, no longer shareable w Bethany! It sat atop a couple of Polenta Sticks that added texture & flavor to the dish...Aside from some lack of flavor in the Empanadas & a very undercooked Skirt Steak, the place is worth checking out...cost is up there, definitely not cheap, but when you combine the great service w some great dishes hard to not give it a shot.
The Livery Restaurant in Montgomery offers a mixed dining experience. The atmosphere is a standout feature, with outdoor seating in a new mixed-use complex providing a gorgeous setting. The service is exceptional, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable about wine pairings and ensure guests are well-cared for throughout their meal. Our meal started strong with the delicious caramelized cauliflower appetizer, which balanced sweetness perfectly. However, the main courses were less impressive. The Blackened Mahi tacos lacked flavor and needed additional spice. The paella was underwhelming, with a smaller portion than expected for the price and also lacking in seasoning. While the food seems to cater to milder Midwestern palates, the exceptional service and beautiful atmosphere make the Livery worth considering. It's a place we'd visit again, perhaps with adjusted expectations about the spice levels in the main courses.
Was excited for Livery to open as we have needed some more options in the Blue Ash/Montgomery area. Have been here with my son and again with friends, and we had a great experience both times! Things I have had and whether I would order it again: Yuca fries - YES Ceviche - YES (see photo) Street Corn - YES Pan De Queso - NO - this was weird. Like very dry/hard biscuits. Skirt Steak - DEFINITELY YES (see photo) Empanadas - steak and queso - YES (see photo, want to try others) Tacos - chicken tinga, carnitas, shrimp - YES (see photo) Churros - YES Overall, really like Livery and definitely plan on returning soon! And make sure you sign up for the loyalty program with CRG and get your points! Also, twice now, I have booked a reservation through OpenTable and not gotten my points with Livery, so pay attention to that, too. Next time I book here, I will have to make sure my points get reflected on OpenTable as that is frustrating!
Food was great. Server was attentive. Had the taco salad, shrimp tacos and the guacamole. Will return.
Yuka fries were AMAZING! Service was lacking... Lychee martini was good. All the food just felt extra crispy.
Update 12/11/24: We came around 430 pm, no happy hour on drinks or pupus. Service was very good. Kendal was very friendly and helpful. Food was still was OK. Original: We came around 5-5:30pm, not too busy. We were sitting at the bar. The service was OK. The food/appertizer was OK.
Absolutely atrocious tasting food. Zero and I do not think I can emphasize this enough zero flavor on any of the food that was brought to the table; appetizers, the main dish, & the dessert…blan. I brought my friends here to celebrate my birthday and thought based off the reviews it would be a good experience. But everyone even people who don’t like spicy foods said this food was disgusting. Had to ask for salt because even the chicken on the salad came out plain. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED for my guests. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone ever. Stop the lie. These other reviews are either fake or friends/family of owner because this place is not good.
