First rate tea room. Delicious food and so many beautiful details everywhere you look. Lovely attentive staff. Lovely outdoor seating area as well. Lovely location on Honolulu Ave in Montrose. Currently featuring Christmas Tea service, including a yummy Yule Tea (see photo of menu). Worth every penny!

This place is amazing, from the tea to their home made desserts to the service. Sweet sweet ladies that run the place. Thank you so much when in town I will be visiting again.

My niece and I have been to at least 5 different tea places. This is definitely our favorite! The food (especially the clotted cream), the ambiance, the price and the service are by far the best. Love this place and the sweet ladies that run it.

I cannot begin to describe how grateful my family is for this place. Due to the 2018 fires, my mother's bridal shower had to find a new venue--with just days to go. Everywhere in the area was booked, but the Matron of Honor found The T Room and they were able to squeeze us in. And that would have been enough. But then they gave us extra sandwiches, jam, and cream. And my step-Aunt can't eat gluten, so we expected them to give her a platter of fruit and call it a day. Little did we know that they offered gluten-free bread, so she ended up with a plate laden with tea sandwiches just like we did. She was so excited to have so many options that she posed for the camera with her plate of food and immediately swore to come back. And that would have been enough. But then they stayed open an extra hour because they didn't want our party time to be cut in half. We were so warmly welcomed that it felt like we were visiting family. They even gave us hugs goodbye and wished us luck with the rest of the wedding. I am so utterly thankful that The T Room was able to host us. (Incidentally, every single person at the shower made plans to come back because the ambiance and service were so exquisite.) большое спасибо!

Margo is the best! She really went out of her way to make sure that my friends and I felt welcome. The scones were fresh and the tea selection was superb. Can't say enough good things about The T Room. Our server, and the chef were so full of personality and beyond accommodating to my vegetarian diet. The tea selection is fantastic, we loved our White Christmas and Russian Samovar. The food was delicious as well. I thought the price was very reasonable, and they treated my 10 year old step daughter like a princess. So sweet and such a treat, we took my mom while she was in town, and I highly recommend it.

Absolutely loved this place and had a great experience! Marianne and all the staff did a great job at making my party of 18 and myself feel welcome, well received and fed us some of the most delicious scones and sandwiches I have ever tasted! The tea was excellent and the atmosphere was just perfect and made for great pictures. They worked around our schedule and went out of their way to accommodate us. So happy I found this gem. I definitely recommend whether you want to have a party here or just enjoy some brunch with a few friends.

Brought my mom here as a surprise. Margo was welcoming…and, incredibly, served the entire tea room all by herself. Was an amazingly hard worker. The tea was very nice, the sandwiches were fresh, and the selection of fresh fruit and desserts was good. I would highly recommend this place.

I took my aunt here for her 80th birthday recently, and we both had such a wonderful experience; excellent service, food, and a most beautiful setting. We also purchased some of the exotic teas that are created on site, and can't wait to try them! Many thanks to Ophelia, Margot, and family!

I was extremely impressed with not only the atmosphere, quality of food, decor, but also the fantastic service. Forgive me, I cannot remember the chef's name but she was absolutely lovely. She made my birthday. My friends and I have tea often and this experience surpasses those I've had in California, throughout several different states and England. We had a full day planned after tea and still kept coming back to how great the food and our service was. The chef is an absolute treasure and I will be sure to not only get her name but thank her again for being such a light. The only item that would've made our experience even better was if the music was a little louder and more central to the space but this is so minor and is in no way a reflection of our service.

I have been a customer and fan of The T Room for years. Their hospitality, their service, their food, their prices are exceptional. It's why I keep going back. They even inspired me to make tea sandwiches! I've had tea at other tea places, but here, you are welcomed with warmth and made to feel at home. It's like they've known you for some time and they're ecstatic to see you. Margo, your friendliness, professionalism and genuine nature do not go unnoticed. Great experience for high tea in a casual setting. Super cute place. Chandeliers, teacups and saucers for decor, friendly welcome. The triangular sandwiches were delicious, especially the salmon and also the olivade. But they were all made with fresh soft sandwich bread, and quality ingredients. The scones were hot not dry but soft. The creme was perfect consistency, the jam was subtle, not too sweet. The top of the three tiers had a wide variety of tiny bites of dessert and fruit including cherries, we were so full we took all the dessert home and leftover sandwiches. There's a patio that's got a sweet garden vibe but you definitely know you are in a tea shop. The friendly sisters who run the place were sweet...and even pour your first cup of tea. I recommend the oolong golden if you like a subtle tea, or if you stronger tart flavor, try the hibiscus melba...it's a red tea. Plenty of free public parking across the street....we were there on a Sunday and there was a farmers market on Honolulu Blvd....we had to go around and past it in order to reach The T Room, not hard, easy. Best tea experience ever, better than those fancy hotel high teas. Highly recommend even when it's not Mothers Day. Oh by the way, CASH Only.

We’re talking ALL the AMAZING food (wonderful cakes/cookies/sandwiches/scones), and their custom tea blends that you can purchase for home as well! My Nana couldn’t stop talking about how much she enjoyed herself and how good everything was. We will surely be back!

Because we were there during the week of Christmas, the price per person was higher, but the menu had more items. We ended up taking the desserts home! We were offered two pots of tea from the menu of teas. I would say the only disappointment were the scones.

This is the best tea room on the planet! Margo the chef instantly makes you feel at home, and she takes amazing care of you. The china is beautiful, the out door seating is beautiful, everything is just BEAUTIFUL. I did not want to leave!!! I will be back soon. Thank you for an amazing experience <3 10/10 recommend !!!!

What a lovely surprise in Montrose! The tea selection is excellent. I have not yet to see a place that has more variety. The finger sandwiches were delicious and filling, unlike some stingy places that give so little and unsatisfying, making people like me come out still hangry. In other words, you will get your money's worth here. The desserts were good, including the fruit pieces. However, the best were the scones! They came out hot, buttery, and solid. I prefer these scones to cold, tasteless, and fluffy/crumbling types. The only thing I wished for was more clotted cream in the serving bowl. I could have asked for more, but I chose not to, so it's my own fault. The ladies even gave me a hug. Nice!

Where do I begin?! Margo and her team are AMAZING!! They are so lovely to work with, they are accommodating, and so flexible and helpful! The space is ADORABLE! I love the china and wall hanging that decorate the space. We hosted a baby shower and the only decoration we brought was a banner to go with the theme. There was also plenty of space to display the gifts, the game cards, the diaper decoration station, and the cake. They team offered to arrange the tables into one longe arrangement however I loved having the tables separated out so people could mix and mingle more evenly. The staff was very attentive serving the tea, champagne and sparkling cider (the champagne and cider we provided for a very reasonable corkage fee!), and the food service was beautiful and delicious!! All in all, I couldn't ask for a better event space, a more accommodating and lovely staff, or more delicious food. Everyone has such a lovely time and said the T Room was the best venue they've been to and we can't wait to come back for regular tea service!! Thank you again for everything, Margo!!!!

We had a Bridal Shower here at the T Room this morning, and it was FABULOUS! A cute intimate setting for a fun event to shower our bride with love, gifts, tea sandwiches and delicious tasting teas. - we couldn't have asked for a better spot, highly recommend!

Wonderful, wonderful experience! This is a gem of a place in a walkable neighborhood in Montrose. The sandwiches were all fresh and flavorful and had a nice variety. The fruit was fresh and perfectly ripe, even the blackberries. The desserts were the perfect balance of decadent but not too sweet. Many choices of tea were available. I had the darjeeling, my wife had the black current. Excellent flavor! The only thing that I can suggest as a change is to make the scones a bit less dense and add sultanas. But that is a tweak, not an error. Lastly I need to mention Margo, the woman who served us. She was amazing! Friendly, efficient, welcoming us like family. We even hugged at the end! She brought the meal to a level that would be hard for anyone else to match.

It’s no wonder that my sister had trouble booking a tea service there, as it was an amazing experience and worth the multiple calls to try and get in. The food was phenomenal, prepared with the utmost love and care, which showed through the quality of the food. The tea was exceptional, brewed perfectly, not over- or under-brewed, the perfect temperature when it came to us at the table. The decor was adorable and set the mood wonderfully, it was decorated beautifully and thoughtfully and made for a gorgeous backdrop and setting for the tea. A really nice ambiance and environment. All that being said, nothing can compare to the service that we were provided. Margo is the most incredible person, really a one of a kind, beautiful soul. She was so thoughtful in her service, and it’s no surprise that she’s been working there 20 years — she clearly loves her job and has a gift with customers thanks to her charming and caring personality. She was super attentive and friendly and made wonderful conversation. She gave us all big hugs, it was adorable and so sweet. We will absolutely be back for the food, tea and most of all, Margo!

Went here to celebrate my birthday last year. The decor was wonderful and the prices are pretty reasonable. I'd never been to an afternoon tea like this before and found that the little sandwiches weren't quite to my taste, but my mom said they were good. The tea itself was delicious and there were lots of options, and the scones were heavenly. Might come by again just for the tea and scones.

The service here is excellent. We were treated very kindly and our hostess was very attentive and warm. Two stars off because the he sandwiches and desserts were not to my taste. The sandwiches were bland and the ingredients tasted stale. It lacked a certain finesse when it come to tea sandwiches. The desserts seemed "store-bought". The scones, however, were delicious and were served warm with jam and cream. The tea was also quite nice and fragrant. Overall, it's expensive for what you get and I probably wouldn't return.

I think it is great that they have so many patrons that they do not need to exercise customer service or basic manners! On the phone they were rude and snippy and quick to disconnect. I only wanted to make a reservation for an available weekend so we could decide on a place for a bridal shower. I do appreciate their making my decision one tea room easier.

Absolutely rude whoever answers the phone. Tried to make a reservation but she couldn’t tell me which weekends were open. She kept asking specific dates and she would say no not available. That’s why I’m asking what is available!! This lady sounds super tired. Maybe someone else that has more energy and patience can answer calls
