This is a wonderful place to eat. We have stopped here when on our way to Abilene for years. The food is good no matter what you eat. I would, however, like for the nasty mouthed old men to keep their voices down so that I can not hear them.

We stumbled across this place and had a delicious breakfast! Pancakes were large and fluffy, hash browns were great, the eggs were good, and the bacon was crispy. On top of all that, the tea was perfectly sweet!

Great little diner! Nice folks and great food! It's one of those places where you are enjoying what you ordered while the whole time being jealous of what other people ordered! Everything looks delicious! I can't wait to go back and order something new!

I love this cafe. They are the epitome of country hospitality and cooking & the breakfast (especially the bacon!) is so, so good. Nothing fancy about it but the food and experience are both very satisfying. Highly recommend.

If two people can stand behind the counter, I feel they could wait on tables. This is my personal preference, but the food is excellent.

The environment is a big “home feel” if you grew up in Texas. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. Love, love, LOVE !

You could tell it was homemade, authentic and tasty. The owners were friendly, attentive and constantly cleaning. We will be back and highly recommend

Stopped in Moody for the 2024 solar eclipse and found this lovely little cafe. I enjoyed the hamburger steak special. It was a large portion, very good gravy too! It was fun to share the totality of the eclipse with the lovely ladies. Thank you for the experience, Lucy's Cafe! Love from Houston

I just bought a new house here in town this is the first time I've ate from there we ordered breakfast early this morning and it was some of the best biscuits I've eaten a very long time probably since the last time I was at my mama's house very good food and very nice ladies at the counter

I ordered the fajita plate; and the only disappointments there were the Lima beans in the rice, the limited number of tortillas and the finite portion of salsa. The plate size was generous with respect to chicken, and I enjoyed another full meal from the residual.

If pancakes are your jam, I implore you to stop in at Lucy's Cafe!! The pancakes 🥞 are huge and perfect👌I have never seen bigger more perfect pancakes in my whole life!! 😋 It is a small Mom & Pop shop. Lots of locals frequently dine here. They are well known for its breakfast & lunch.💕

To expensive. Got 5eggs, 5bacon, 1hashbrown, 2pc. toast, 1biscuit and 2drinks. $20.00 well $19.68. Food was alright. It was my first time eating there. I will give it a try one more time. If too costly that will be the last. Plenty of seating and walking space. Clean facility. Employees seem pretty nice.

Then when asked what was the most popular menu item, proceeded to tell us the burgers… So my husband started to order… then there was an older lady who also came up to us while ordering she wasn’t having the best attitude for customer service, she came off rude. My husband repeated “sorry it’s our first time here, we live in temple”. I understand inconveniences that ruin your day but when you work in customer service there is a certain attitude you should give…. Minus that loved the homey feel and the way the restaurant was set up :)

I paid 29.82 cents for stuff worth about 12$ max . I got a weird wheat biscuit that fell apart with no taste or texture ,on a biscuit sandwich which was nasty along with the meat in it.i also ordered the biscuits and gravy and was hoping it was gonna be authentic and decent atleast that was my only hope . Well that was nasty as well worst biscuits ever with watered down gravy that has zero flavor . I was overcharged. My point is they need to put better effort in finding cooks who cares somehow this is crazy.

We had decided to go to Lucy today and I'm completely dissatisfied... Will not be going back.. I had ordered fried pork chop special and she ordered cheese enchiladas chips was even burned up nothing absolutely nothing had any kind of flavor it's pretty awful... First time I ate there and I will never go back...

Their idea of a carne asada burrito consists of stew meat in a tortilla with no other toppings or seasonings. I can't even call the food mid because it did not make it that high.
