I can not WAIT to come back here! Such a great, diverse menu, and everything was delicious. Huge portions for a great price. We got the pretzel and fried Brussels sprouts for starters, both delicious. The only thing that could be improved was our beer cheese, which was cold. I got the Vinny, my husband got the chili cheeseburger. Both were amazing!

Got a new Temple favorite! As my normal readers know, I’m not going to miss out on the chance to try out a burger and hand cut fries. I was not disappointed. The Wildcat burger was amazing! Split one with my wife. Wonderful, mouth-watering flavor, and the slaw was a different, but nice addition. The included hand-cut fries won me over at first bite. I would say that I could make a meal out of them, by themselves. But, in a way, I did, but smothered in chili and cheese. The chili-cheese fries were different than any I’d ever had, and I’d be hard-pressed to remember any I’d enjoyed more. And, it’s way bigger an order than the picture shows. Then there were the fried cheese curds(my wife’s idea). I thought she’d blew a gasket. When it was all said and done, we almost had a “fist to cuff” over the last one. As much as I hate to admit it, she’s pretty good about picking out of the ordinary dishes. But hey! I’m pretty good, too! I did pick the spot….

This was a nice place to stop at for a very good meal at at very reasonable price. You sit yourself and place your order online but the food came out pretty quickly.

This started out so bad but ended up great! We had never been there before. Walked in at 11:30 on a Wednesday and sat down. No waitress for a few minutes. Finally decided since we didn't know the deal to scan the menu code on the table for the menu. Then my wife and I were frustrated. I decided to just order from my phone. I ordered my burger and then was asked to pay for it AND GIVE MY TIP THEN! Well I did but I was mad. My wife had to use HER phone to order since no one had showed up to help. She sent up to the bar for help. Finally a waitress came over to help her place her order. We were freakin' mad!! But then our food came. My burger was excellent. Cooked to perfection. It was brought out quickly. It was delicious. Then the waitress brought out my wife's chicken sandwich and it was great as well. When we were finished I visited with our waitress. She apologized for our wait and confusion and stated they were short staffed. Imagine that!! I asked about the business. She's been there since 2019 which said a a lot to me, being a former business owner. She then gave me the history of the place. She was AMAZING! She admitted customers had complained about the technology. My advice would be for the owners, who she said were awesome, should really consider this ordering model. They have a great product. The room looks fantastic. But for those that just walk in, it's super confusing. The locals know to just walk to the back and order on the terminals. We watched it over and over. I also think it's hard for a customer to give you a tip, up front, not knowing what your experience is going to be! Also, since you're paying for a $16 burger, a tip of $3 for simply bringing the burger to your table is a joke. We got our own drinks and refilled them. We did everything except go into the kitchen and get the burger ourselves!!!! Not good! Your waitress, black hair and fairly tall, I failed to get her name, saved the day. She was excellent and really calmed me down. She deserves a pat on the back and a raise!!!

Bird Creek Brewing is a hidden gem! Great beer, laid-back vibe, and super friendly staff. The rotating taps always have something new and delicious, and the food menu hits the spot. Perfect spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a chill afternoon. Can’t wait to come back!

Cute place for drinks with friends. Food was decent, ranch is delicious. However, my fish had so much extra water it made the fish and my fries soggy. Also, the cake was good but super expensive for such a small piece. Their outdoor area looked amazing though!

Pretty cool and laid back atmosphere. It’s almost completely self-serve. You order your food off of the tablet or your phone, you grab your drinks, and go sit somewhere. The servers will bring your food out and you’re good to go. The bar is pretty cool with access from both outside and inside. Get the cheese curds. Crunchy Onion Burger was great and the fries were seasoned really well. Unfortunately they didn’t get the temp of the burger right in my wife’s burger. She ordered well done and got medium. That’s the reason I marked 3 stars. The kids portions are actually pretty big. The chicken tenders and grilled cheese were full sized The Teaches Peaches draft on tap was great!

Truth Hurts

We had cheese curds (on lettuce?), spicy chicken sandwich, fish and chips and two types of fries. (Regular and garlic) both fries were great some of the best I’ve had but the fish and chips did not include chips? (Fries) never experienced that before! We asked and the server said no they don’t come with fries!? (Nice plate of food, but no fries! Strange! ) everything tasted great and serving sizes were too. Just no chips with fish and chips dropped everything a star. Will be back but that was different.

We ordered the fried pickles, and they were swimming in grease like they didn’t drain them. The ordered medium-well burgers were well- done. The service was very, very lacking since we had to be proactive and ask for everything: sugar, condiments, drink refills etc. It was lunch, but the diner was NOT overly busy with plenty of wait staff. The waitress could have asked us up front instead we had to wait while trying numerous times to flag her down. The background music was a bit loud, forcing diners to speak loudly. Not sure I’ll be back.

Nice looking place. Went in the middle of the week and it wasn’t crowded at all. There was an option to self serve so i ordered from my phone and they brought the food to the table. Took me a while to figure out how to get my drink but you just grab a cup and get what you want after you pay. My friend got shrimp and it smelled very bad and it made them sick. Chicken was very greasy and mushy. Maybe they were training a new cook back there or something. If you want a bar and a live band it would be nice. Food isn’t their strong point.

I really like this place. Burgers are great, fries could use a little improvement for consistency, but all in all, way better than a fast food joint. One pet peeve... I don't like prepaying for my meal at a nice place. It's not a food truck, or counter service, but rather a higer-end restaurant and bar. So when I come in, sit down and order, why ask for my card prior to receiving food and service. If I sit with 2 or four people inside your place I get to pay and use my card or cash AFTER my experience. But if I come in alone and sit inside, you need a card on file? Please treat everyone equally.

So loud, they were hosting a jazz band but it was super loud even though the band was outside and we were inside. They dont really have servers. You order through the app or have to go to the bar yourself to get drinks. The fried pickles came in a bowl of grease. I was not impressed at all. The price range was double if not triple but the service was less than fast food.

Date night. We needed to find something nearby and we have always wondered about Bird Creek Brewing. The area is under construction around the building and will be really nice when finished. But, overall a very pleasant atmosphere. You are asked to place you order at a kiosk upon walking in. This does affect the service score as I prefer to hear recommendations from the server and ask questions. One of those questions was, "When I order a drink, is there a place to get a cup?" After sitting and pondering awhile, I just went and asked the hostess. We ordered a classic hamburger with truffle fries and a fried green tomato BLT with garlic fries. The garlic fries were soggy but outstanding while truffle fries were crispy and solid. I would have trouble turning down either one in the future. The burger looked beautiful but was cooked to requested temperature, underseasoned and not really noteworthy. Our expectations of the "fried green tomato" BLT may have been too high but it was a decent dish. If we come back, we will definitely try to grab a server or hostess to ask about the menu before ordering. But, from terrific presentation to an inviting atmosphere, I believe they are really trying to make a good product here. I hold out hope that our experience isn't a normal.

I really did have high hopes since the original Bird Creek Burgers were so good, but I left really disappointed. I was taking my nephew and partner out for lunch on a Saturday and thought this was a no brainer spot for a great burger. We first ordered the cheese curds with some marinara. The marinara was for some reason watered down and resembled something closer to soup. The soup had spilled out of the ramekin which soaked a good portion of the small amount of curds that are provided for $10. The amount pictured on the menu is not the amount we received. The burgers we ordered were the Wildcat Pride (pictured) and two of the Jammed Poppers at a medium-well cook. I was still excited for the burger despite the cheese curds being a flop. This is a burger spot at heart so my hopes were still intact. My partner pretty quickly noticed a small amount of mold on the top of her bun as I noticed just how kind of thrown on the plate the fries were. Uh oh! I tried getting through my Wildcat, but I felt like it just didn’t have much flavor whatsoever aside from pickle every now and then. I ended up ditching the upper bun to continue on with a fork and knife since brioche just doesn’t work well for a burger in my opinion. It’s too much dry bread. I will say that when trying the patty on its own I could taste that it was decently seasoned though even the first bite felt like it had lost a lot of temperature. I also hated that the cheese on the Wildcat was very much not melted whatsoever. Maybe we hit an off day for the kitchen. My 18 year old nephew gave his burger a 2 out 5 when I asked him what he thought and added “Whataburger sounds pretty good right now.” I was pretty embarrassed after having been hyping the place up. Anyone that says the prices are great are lying to you. For a brewery in Temple, TX the prices are a bit high. Even the beer was on the higher priced side. I can get a cheaper pint of craft beer at most breweries in Austin and the food would be way better. I got the Lamborghini Truck and thought it was a pretty good hazy IPA I can’t say much about service since there really isn’t any. They bring you your food and that’s pretty much it which is fine. The people on staff that day were all polite and nice. It’s very clear a lot of money went into making Bird Creek Burgers into Bird Creek Brewing and it shows inside the joint. Everything is big and open and new. Overall we were all just disappointed with our experience. Would I give it another shot? That’s hard to say because I would for the beer… but I’d skip ordering food unless someone else was buying.

This was my very first time here and in all honesty it was not the best experience. I came to a gathering and as always I was going to pay for me and my children. (That four people) and not only did it take forever for the food to come to us. But I received the wrong order and was told they could replace and when I asked how long it would take the waitress was hesitant and I told her I will just take it because I was already waiting long enough. She then comes over and brings me bbq sauce to make up for the wrong order. We waited 20+ minutes for refills and were barely checked on. When it was time to pay for the check. THERE IS NO SIGNED THAT STATE AUTOMATIC GRATUITY, only at the bar and it states “ Automatic gratuity for any unclosed tabs”. Once I paid I realized my meal should not have been 71 bucks. I get the receipt so that I was charged $11 for automatic gratuity and when I asked, why am I getting charged for automatic gratuity when my bill should’ve been $55 they said because since I was part of a bigger party than eight, everybody gets automatic gratuity and I paid separate for my meal. So I paid automatic gratuity for horrible service a long way in the wrong food. And when I brought it up to her, I got automatic attitude with saying do you want to speak to my manager? There’s no signs anywhere saying that is an automatic for big parties. They don’t say it on the receipt. I thought this place was gonna be a great place and I normally don’t leave reviews unless I have a bad experience in this was by far a bad experience if you go with the party, make sure you all pay together if you’re by yourself ask for an itemized receipt before you pay.
