The food was amazing, the chef made our every little request wonderful. Our server Abby is so sweet and truly beautiful. She makes us feel very comfortable, gave us everything we asked for with a genuine smile on her face, and whenever she talked to us and took our order she never made us feel judged. The atmosphere is very clean and the music is always good to hear. They also give the good crayons for the kids menu. Loved Abby she remembered us from our previous visit and she was very attentive. The food was delicious. Yummy
Stopped by on my day off and had a great experience. Our waitress, Elysia, was friendly, attentive, and incredibly sweet. The food was amazing, everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Elysia checked in on us often and made sure we were well taken care of. Overall, it was a wonderful visit, and I would definitely come back!

It’s rare to get service that makes your whole dining experience better, but Elysia truly did that. She was attentive, professional, and super kind. I had such a great experience at Black Bear Diner! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and exactly what you want when you’re craving comfort food. Our server, Elysia, truly made the experience exceptional. She was attentive without being overbearing, incredibly kind, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. She checked in at the perfect times, made thoughtful recommendations, and had such a warm, positive energy. You can tell she really cares about her guests. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly — generous portions and everything tasted homemade. Between the great service and the delicious meal, it was such an enjoyable visit. If you go, definitely ask for Elysia — she’s a gem! We’ll absolutely be back.
Elysia and Josh were our servers today and they were so pleasant! It was extremely busy this morning and she still was able to give us the best service. She was super attentive and even while working with a trainee. Good is always great here and I always have to have a cup of coffee when I come. If there's a line, don't be discouraged to wait. It's worth it.
We had a wonderful experience at Black Bear Diner, and a huge part of that was our amazing server, Elysia. From the moment we sat down, she was kind, attentive, and incredibly thoughtful. We were trying to wipe down a high chair for our baby, and without us even asking, Elysia noticed and immediately brought disinfectant and thoroughly cleaned it for us. That small gesture meant so much and really showed how much she cares about her guests. She was fast, friendly, and so sweet throughout our entire visit, checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to get service that feels both efficient and genuinely caring, especially when dining with kids. Elysia truly went above and beyond and made our visit feel comfortable and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back, and we hope to have her as our server again!
Right when we came in the host was very kind and the person leading us to our table was also nice! Our waitress Elysia was amazing and I had no idea they made the own salsa when she recommended it! She was very attentive and had a great smile! Great customer service all around!

My husband and I have visited the Black Bear Diner in Moreno Valley for the fourth time, and every visit is wonderful. The team is incredibly welcoming, kind, genuine, and such beautiful people. Elysia goes above and beyond to make your dining experience enjoyable. She truly loves you to life and makes you feel cared for. The food is classic home-style cooking with large portions, always so good! To the entire team: you are amazing and the BEST. We’ll see you very soon. While I do get bummed that some of their items (ranch or gravy) have pork in it and there isn't an alternative, the food here is delicious. Our server was so kind and answered any questions we had as our table had some dietary restrictions. We ended up getting a Shasta Veggie Scramble, the Vegetarian Omelete, and the New York Steak. Our meal wad delectable! Just making this review makes me want to go back again. My favorite was the Shasta Veggie Scramble. There was a wait as this is a prime location but it isn't too long. Overall, amazing experience, will definitely be eating at a Black Bear Diner again.
My husband & I came here early for a breakfast date while the kids are back in school! We love the food, bear decor, and the amazing customer service! The food was absolutely delicious, and our server Adam made the experience even better—he was so attentive, helpful, and very kind. He even tracked down some heavy cream for my warm coffee! ordered. Hubby ordered a meat lover’s omelette & I ordered the Hungry Bear special with those legendary sweet cream pancakes to share with him! Also, the busboy was very attentive clearing our plates as soon as we were done. Everything was fantastic, especially the service! We’ll be coming back for sure & requesting Adam as our server again! :)

Our Server was Elysia she was so kind and kept coming often to see if we needed anything besides the fact of the restaurant being full. Food was really the broccoli 🥦 😋 was delicious. The SALAAA was actually good went well with the eggs and my husband is a lil special (a lot!) With his Salsas ... overall I would definitely come back!!
It’s always homey and cozy coming to this diner. Makes me feel like I’m in the mountains and eating a nice comforting meal. Restaurant was clean and our server was nice and attentive! Breakfast here is always great! If you want a comforting and cozy environment, I totally recommend coming here!

This is my 2nd time to any Black Bear, to be honest the 1st time was not as awesome and yummy as this time. I ordered a patty melt with onion rings. Rye bread was soft and meat was cooked as I ordered it. Onion rings were crunchy but not hard to bite in. Our server Yesenia was very helpful, sweet and attentive. Will definitely come back.
We have been to Black Bear a few times when going up to Fresno. My wife remembered having the pot pie so we stopped by tonight. She loved it even more than before. Homerun of the night was the bread pudding. Such a comforting dessert with a scoop of ice cream just pulled the whole thing together. Our server Elysia was absolutely amazing. She juggled the whole area, accommodating to everyone and the friendliest person ever. We will now be coming here more often. Thank you Elysia!

I went there with my wife for breakfast. We got seated right away. We ordered the volcano breakfast platter. (Choice of eggs, bacon and sausage and 3 pancakes) It's very filling. Food was delicious. Our server was very attentive. I will definitely come back again.

My wife and I were going to Denny's and we remembered it always smells like bathroom and chemicals as soon as you walk through the door so we decided to try Black Bear Diner across the street. What a wonderful surprise!! This place is awesome. Friendly staff, no wait, clean, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee was delicious and our food was so good!! We will never go the Denny's again. Highly recommend!!!
