Simmering Pho Cafe

We like to go to Creasian which is located just off W. Main and while finding parking, we saw Simmering. Not too many Pho places in Morgan Hill and from the outside looks not so promising. And since there are not many places to have Pho, we said we'd give it a try. Sooooo... a year later, the outside hadn't changed and we we're weary about going in. BUT upon entering the cafe, we were pleasantly surprised. Very nice people own/work there. Service is A+ and the atmosphere is calm with soft music playing overhead. And the food is great! Moral of the story - never judge a Pho cafe by it's façade. Recommended!

One of the best Pho place I've been to. I had the #8 Pho Dac Biet (Pho Special). Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was very nice. I was served pretty quickly. Overall I great experience.

Delicious food quiet atmosphere!

I have been coming here a while now. It is my favorite among Vietnamese resturants and one of my favorite overall. Everything I've had is really great. My fav is Bo luc Lac...sizzling plate with bites of steak and veggies such as green peppers, onions and mushrooms. Ive had other dishes and they are excellent as well. See ice and people are top notch and the look and feel is very comfortable.

This is our third time here. We love coming here because the broth is so fresh and as it is family run, they are just so friendly and nice. The fresh spring rolls are the best.

Food: everything tastes great, from the drinks to the main dish. You are (by default) served a lemon water (with ice) that doesn’t actually taste like they’re trying to cover up the “tap water taste” with the lemon, the spring rolls are good by themselves, with soy sauce, or with peanut sauce, and the red rice is great; it kind of tastes like hibachi fried rice but not fried. Of course, these are not the main dishes, to which I will disclose mine: the Com Do Voi Ga Quay. The mini salad is like many others, but the chicken is intrinsically fantastic, although I do warn of many small bones in the chicken, as the waitress told me. Service: simply excellent: the waitress was kind and readily willing to converse with me, she checked on us often (but not too often) to make sure that we didn’t need anything more, and she even resupplied the sauce trays! Atmosphere: now I am certainly not fluent in Vietnamese culture, but I could say that the setting was appealing with the koi fish tank, beautiful images (in my opinion) from Vietnam, lights, and general spacing from each table. By the way, there was a bathroom that was pretty clean. Conclusion: this is a nice Vietnamese restaurant with great service, food, and atmosphere; just make sure to specify if you have any allergies, especially seafood and/or peanut allergies.

This five star review is long over due. One of the best if not THE best Pho place hidden in plain sight in Morgan Hill! Tops all other Pho places across the whole Silicon Valley; other places are good, but this place is Great! Fresh, high quality ingredients and NO MSG! A pho restaurant have to level up on their ingredients and recipe to make such good soup without MSG!! My toddler daughter can drink up the soup and eat the pho and vermicelli noodles since she was one and half years old; we’ve tried a few other places (when Simmering is not open) and our baby wouldn’t eat/drink as much. Pad Thai is another wonderful dish that is SO much better than other Thai restaurants in the bay! It’s unbelievable. We will only go to Simmering Pho unless it is not open on certain days! The staff are friendly; especially the hostess treat you like family. Thank you!

The food is delicious and the staff are great! There is so much detail in the decor so there's so much to look at but it's not to a level where it's distracting. The bathrooms are very clean and well stocked, and the price for the food is reasonable. There's nothing to complain about in this place, it's very enjoyable in terms of both food and restaurant experience every time we go.

The medium spice is a great starting point if you like spicy food, you get chili crisp and Sriracha at the table too. Lovely staff, good boba, delicious food. I love when you truly find the family full of old recipes and pride, and this is one of those places! The owner makes her own Boba and it's unlike any I've tried..I actually like it and look forward to having it! I've never liked it before because of the chewy chemical taste and feel, but hers...you must try for yourself! The Mango Boba drink is the best anywhere!! They are nice, clean, quick, efficient and consistent. My favorite Pho place in the area!!

This is the best pho I've ever had. The broth is REAL and you can tell because it's sticky on your hands if you get messy. I always get the oxtail and steak. The spring rolls are also excellent. Super clean, healthy food and the hard-working woman who always works the front is so kind. No reason to ever branch out, this place is it for me whenever I need a nutritional boost.

I'm not a big pho fan , or soup fan for that matter. It's like a small serving of food drowned in water and simmered with salt. That being said - it was ok and my wife and kids loved it, so there's that. Not much atmosphere and the service was functional.

Only 2 people are working this whole restaurant, one cooking and one person waiting on all the tables on a Friday night. It's almost half an hour to get just water and 1 hour to get food. Well worth it though cuz the food is great, but only come here when you have a few hours to spend.

This restaurant is the best Pho in Morgan Hill. I rate it a 4.5! The owners of the restaurant are very welcoming! We had 2 appetizers and Pho. We also had a side of fried shrimp. They were golden brown, crispy and tender. The sauce served with it was sweet and tangy. We also enjoyed Spring rolls with peanut sauce. The Spring rolls with shrimp were fresh and the vegetables were crisp. I loved the peanut sauce with little pieces of peanut in the smooth sauce topped with few drops of chili sauce. The rolls were tightly wrapped with a good balance of ingredients. For our main course, we had the Chicken Pho with extra vegetables (broccoli, carrots, cabbage). I would suggest the extra veg for about $1.00 more. It is worth the extra money. The broth is full of flavor and delicious. The soup came with the traditional herbs and hot sauce on the side. The dish was so filling that I have left overs for lunch tomorrow. I highly recommend this quaint little home-style cafe. They had indoor and out door dining options.

Food is good but not the best as we are so close to the Vietnamese town in San Jose with lots of authentic and delicious Vietnamese offerings. Having said that, this maybe one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in town now in term of taste. I am glad we have a decent choice.

I came in after lunch time, and it was just me, took them a few minute to bring out the menu. Noone offered or asked if I'd like anything to drink. I got the standard rare steak noodle, to be safe :) The food looked so sad. There were about 4 pcs of meat, well done, not rare, lots of noodle and soup, and a tiny plate of veggies that look like they just scooped up whatever left in the kitchen, and it tasted like the noodle bowl you got from Costco, look the same too. I got this and an order of spring rolls to go. Cost bout $20 bucks, which is pretty expensive compared to other places I usually go to where the portion is bigger and the food tastes better. Won't be back.
