Opinions de Il Filo di Grano Morimondo
A surprisingly fantastic experience, with excellent and carefully crafted food. The pumpkin risotto was excellent, as was the guanciotta. The dessert was also superb! The atmosphere was well-maintained, and the staff were helpful and very kind.
Last night my husband and I dined at this restaurant to celebrate the end of the year. It wasn't our first time there, and I must say it was a pleasant surprise each time. Dinner on December 31st was truly satisfying. A very balanced seafood menu that wowed us right from the entree. A rich menu with a wide selection of dishes, each of which was thoughtfully paired with red and white/sparkling wines at a truly fair price. The menu price, for everything we ate, was also more than fair. The service was attentive. What can I say? Well done, well done.
An excellent dinner in a magical place, an old farmhouse now a hotel, all frescoed. We were greeted with kindness and hospitality, as we were able to bring our dog along. We dined in a small room with a truly delicious mixed antipasto platter, a delicate and flavorful pumpkin in saor sauce and a masterful pumpkin risotto with a vertical array of flavors provided by goat cheese, mandarin mustard, and a Marsala reduction.
A quaint restaurant in an 18th-century Lombard building. A refined menu featuring local products cooked according to traditional recipes. Recommended. I enjoyed the pumpkin flan with melted cheese, the guanciale with polenta, and their homemade cotechino.
A high-end restaurant in a truly welcoming setting. The service is courteous, attentive, and thorough. I found the dishes truly intriguing, perhaps a little moderate in flavor intensity, for my personal taste. In any case, the menu offers dishes with a strong identity, and the portions are absolutely satisfying (for some, it might even seem too much). The setting is welcoming and relaxing. The prices are more than fair.
A romantic stroll with my wife. We chose this restaurant out of nowhere; we simply loved the entrance. Fantastic location, we were greeted with the smile and kindness you always want to see. Served by a fantastic, professional, cheerful, and discreet staff. The menu features three seasonal ingredients (pumpkin, chestnuts, and cavolo nero) cooked in a creative and very unique way. Excellent selection of cured meats. And we even played some good blues music in the background: fantastic. Thank you, and I'll definitely be back.
Amazing.
I want to thank the Filo di Grano staff, especially Elisa, Nicolò, and Alice. Thank you so much for your support, patience, and professionalism. We chose this restaurant as the venue for our son's first communion, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The restaurant is very welcoming, with attention to detail and elegant tableware and linens. The outdoor areas lend themselves to making everything more relaxing, and the little square is perfect for entertaining the children. Love for beauty, that's what makes the difference. Next, I want to thank the people who work in the kitchen. There was a problem, and their problem-solving skills amazed me. You were all wonderful! 👍🏻 Thank you so much
Very welcoming place, excellent food, and impeccable service. I was a guest here, so I have no idea how much it cost, but from the menu, it seems quite reasonable. The setting is truly beautiful; the restaurant overlooks a small square near Morimondo Abbey. The staff is very attentive and always available.
I stayed at the Morimondo Hotel and ate here during our 3-day stay (it's the hotel restaurant). Excellent and unique food, featuring many original reinterpretations. The friendly and always helpful staff oversaw our meals with extreme precision (there were many of us) and friendliness. The wine selection was also excellent!
On the advice of my parents, who had a lovely evening at this restaurant, I decided to throw my birthday party there. They offered several options, including an aperitif, which I accepted, with unlimited drinks for all my guests. We ate really well; the portions were so generous that it was a shame not to be able to finish it. For my first course, I opted for a classic Milanese risotto, followed by fruit, and finally, a cake with Chantilly cream and chocolate made by their pastry shop. Delicious and light. It was a wonderful evening; since there were 15 of us, we were the only ones in the downstairs dining room, which is truly enchanting with its exposed brick and vaulted ceiling—very charming. The staff at the restaurant were kind and very friendly, attentive to every request. The restaurant, which is also a hotel, has private parking. Highly recommended!
Very nice place both inside and out. The menu is limited. The ones we tried were very well executed and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable.
I was here yesterday for a wedding... Very beautiful venue. Let's get to the food... aperitif outside with very well-crafted finger food. Special mention for the exceptional creamed cod, the gazpacio with grilled octopus, and other carefully crafted and very pleasant dishes. As for dinner, the service was quick and without long waits, the food was average... the flan was good, but everything else was fine. It's a shame about the risotto, which lacked a punch of flavor and seemed to have been cooked without boiling. The giardiniera was also good, but a bit too dark in color. Dessert was served outside with a sorbet (a red fruit ice cream) and a mediocre mini-pastry. The staff was attentive and friendly.
An ideal location for a Sunday lunch after a visit to the Abbey. The restaurant is located just steps from the Abbey, and the atmosphere is relaxing with jazz music playing in the background. Upon entering, a lounge with a fireplace welcomes you before entering the restaurant. The service is quite efficient, the cuisine delicate and carefully prepared, and the prices are reasonable.
Sunday lunch with friends and children. The restaurant is very elegant and clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing, with pleasant background music. We were served very quickly, the waiters were attentive and kind, and the food was delicious, with delicate dishes and refined flavors, and generous portions. The price is justified by the quality. Dogs are welcome.
A very beautiful and rustic location, with charming, enormous fireplaces. The staff was cheerful and attentive to our requests. The dishes were all very good and refined. One of the nice things was at the beginning of the dinner: they offered an appetizer chosen by the chef. The dishes arrived promptly, although the meat-based main course was less popular for our personal tastes. Overall, it's a good restaurant and highly recommended.
