I live locally in Monterey and I always pass this place but have never stopped. I am glad I did. I really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. We had the thai steak cooked perfectly with rice and veggies and seafood cha cha cha with noodles and crab fried rice. There wasn't very many big crab pieces but you can taste it. Will for sure be back
Coming home from Southern California very late on a Sunday night, we were welcomed by the staff, served warm comforting food on a cold windy night and even though we had showed up very near to closing, we did not feel rushed to get out of the restaurant. I will definitely be visiting again when I go through the area
Coming home from a long day's road trip, my friend and I found this friendly, cozy little restaurant. We were quickly greeted and seated and served tasty food by the sweetest ladies, even though we were the last customers of the day. The food was hot, delicious and comforting on a rainy evening. I will come back here on future travels.
Service was amazing as always. This is me and my parent's go-to restaurant for Thai food in the area. Took my husband here and it was his first time having any kind of Thai dishes. He loved it!
October 2025 Back for our second time. Nothing has changed, great service, food and atmosphere. We have started coming and staying in Moss Landing and are so glad this restaurant is here. My wife says the Boba tea thingy is the best she has ever had, I think it was Mango. October 2024 Excellent food, service and atmosphere.
The place feels like a beach restaurant from Thailand planted into California. Relaxing ambience and very friendly service. They serve some unique delicious dishes like flat iron steak with a twist of Thai flavor and flavorful crab cake. It has a full bar if you are looking for a place to relax in the remote area of Moss Landing.
We found this place on the way to San Francisco after a long trip from Yosemite National Park. We were starving Thai food and this places surprised us a lot ! It was the best pad Thai and mango sticky rice we ever tried. Amazing atmosphere and amazing people. Thank you for this dinner 🥘 I wish to come back.
In my pursuit of nourishment, I chose the lunch special—Drunken Noodles—accompanied by a bowl of vegetable soup and a modest salad. The balance of flavors was harmonious, and the spice did not overwhelm, allowing the true essence of the dish to shine. Curious, I ventured to taste the fried artichoke hearts, yet they lacked the vibrancy I had hoped for, their essence subdued as if lost in the Force. The attendants of this establishment were most welcoming, their service swift and considerate, enhancing the experience. The decor, too, radiated warmth and charm, a sanctuary of comfort amidst the galaxy’s chaos. A fine meal, with service most commendable—though the artichoke hearts, I wish, had been imbued with greater depth.
Yes yes yes!!!!! On my way back to Fresno I searched restaurants on my route. The name is what got me! I love lemongrass! I was worried about the location and possibly not getting authentic taste but boy was I off! The taste were all there!! And the spice was perfect! We got the Drunken Noodle, Nam Nuah, Penang curry, and fried tofu. I didn’t get a picture of the Nam Nuah we dug right in to that! The meat was so tender and cut perfect. The Drunken noodle was so good perfect balance of flavors spicy, savory, hint of sweetness. Penang had a kick to it but so enjoyable! Crispy tofu was a typical fried tofu I think the cut was the only thing that made it different. (Triangles) I liked the patio space too, saw it on my way to the bathroom. The service was great, friendly and quick! Highly recommend!!! Go go go!
If you love Thai cuisine, this is the place to go in Moss Landing. Great place with great food. Try the Thai spring rolls. It’s just awesome with the peanut sauce. We ordered a mixed vegetable soup, pineapple fried rice, and panang veg curry with a small order of white rice. We loved the food. Would love to go again.
Cozy restaurant with interesting knick knacks and smaller spaces inside, including one with a round table that seats 7-8. The restaurant was full on Friday night and the ambiance was perfect for an evening in fall. Kid friendly too as there aren't white tablecloths to mess up and they have high chairs and heavy duty ceramic plates.
We were hanging out at one of the Moss Landing beaches and looked some lunch places. We arrived at this spot and it was a very pleasant experience! The pla lui suan was a dish that we’ve never tried. It’s a crispy lightly fried fish with some mango and onion and a really delicious sauce. This was our favorite. The shrimp see eu was good as well. We needed to order a completely nonspicy dish for our kid. The lemongrass calamari tasted good but we didn’t really get the lemongrass flavor. The servers were so friendly there (particularly Grace who served us) and friendly to our dog too! Offered her a water bowl. This was unexpectedly a really good place and could see ourselves coming again when in the area.
3 1/2 stars = We’re very familiar with LemonGrass as we used to dine here frequently before moving. We’ve always loved *everything we’ve had here. Service continues to be exceptional! Thank you Kayla and Nina, you’re both delightful! I wasn’t thrilled with my meal. I ordered a (vegan) tofu noodle dish, yet it contained egg and definitely had a fishy component. The noodles congealed which made them difficult to eat. Our grandson ordered the Penang curry and enjoyed it. My husband ordered the seafood Pad Thai and had zero leftovers. We dined outside on the patio. While I miss the birds, I thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous mural.
The food was good , we tried spicy fried rice , drunken noodles , sticky mango rice and calamari. calamari did had salt but was good. Overall the food was good.
Our first time here and it was a pleasant experience. There’s plenty of parking a few spots in front and in the parking lot, it also has a ramp for handicap people and outdoor seating. There’s plenty of tables and the atmosphere is fun and clean with Abalone shells on the wall and a ship in drift wood. I ordered Pad Thai Chicken noodles and my husband ordered the Clam Chowder. The service was good so we will go back to try something different.
We got takeout and we were pleasantly surprised! * Everything was packed well * We thought the prices were reasonable The chicken pad thai was a little ketchup-y, but not in a bad way at all! I just thought I'd warn folks since it's a little different. My sister and I like ketchup so we liked it. * We also got the drunken noodles, pad see ew, panang curry, and spicy red curry with seafood. Everything was solid! Good portion size. I'd be up for eating at the restaurant someday!
Food was good and our young server was great, but the service from the senior server ruined the experience. Some of us never got menus, and when we asked to split the bill at the end, she became loud, rude, and defensive stating WE had to tell her. Her attitude was completely uncalled for and made everyone uncomfortable. I won’t be returning because of that.
Was okay. We came for lunch, interesting atmosphere, food is ok, I enjoyed the salad and desert. The coconut soup was great, according to my partner comments. The BBQ chicken couldn't taste the chicken, so much spice and wondered if this chicken even fresh..so overly soaked in the sauce... I could not eat it at all.
The staff at this restaurant were very kind and welcoming, and we appreciated the service. Unfortunately, my meal was disappointing. I have a gluten allergy and ordered the pad see ew. The tofu and eggs were well overcooked, and the noodles had an off flavor. While the vegetables were fresh, the seasoning throughout the dish was inconsistent, with some bites overly salty and others lacking flavor. I also experienced an upset stomach afterward. My partner ordered the sesame tuna and a curry — the tuna was fresh, and the curry was decent.
The reviews of this restaurant are very positive, so I hope we came in on an off night and our experience is not a representation of a regular night. Unfortunately, each dish we ordered disappointed us. We ordered the mieng kham (shrimp lettuce wraps,) the lava chicken, and three-flavored fish. Mieng Kham: Each pile of dry coconut is topped with a small sliver of shrimp and a slice of lime with the rind still attached, buried underneath. Maybe this is how the dish is supposed to be, but I still found it lacked vibrancy and flavor. It was also very messy to eat, relying heavily on the sauce to balance the dry coconut. Most surprising was seeing how the shrimp was cut. I have never seen a restaurant do this before. It looks like one shrimp cut into three pieces. Edit: I looked up some recipes of Mieng Kham. This dish, even though it’s simple, contain a variety of ingredients. Also, it looks like if the lime is a Thai lime, you usually keep the skin on. The three-flavored fish: On the menu, this dish is described, “Crispy fried fish fillet topped with stunning Thai three-flavor sauce.” I had no idea I was going to see a huge plate of sliced green apple. How many apples do you think are in the picture? 1, 2, or more? My guess is 3, and maybe those are the “three flavors” haha jkjk. Somewhere in this dish were about 6 pieces of fried fish nuggets. Oh yeah, and what sauce? There was barely any sauce. I really ate a plate of dried fried fish and cold crisp apple slices. I don’t even like apples. I have never sent a dish back before in my life. I rarely speak up or complain about my food, but on this night, I wish I had. Of the three dishes, (and I was disappointed with all three,) I would have sent this one back to the kitchen. Lava chicken (no picture): This dish was okay! The green curry actually had a good flavor. The chicken was shaped in thin rectangular slices, and it had a dry, stringy texture like very low quality meat. It was really strange. I’ve never had chicken like this in a curry before. The spinach was carelessly tossed on top of the curry, not even cooked in, and the veggies weren’t seasoned. The curry was doing a lot of work in this dish, and fortunately, that part was tasty. We ordered 2 lemonades which were also tasty. The restaurant is large and the staff were really nice. Oh, another thing! We came in around 7:30 for dinner, and after we were seated, our waitress asked if we could order quickly because they wanted to close early. The hours said they were open until 9. Two other parties came in after us and were seated, and people who ordered take-out were coming in to pick up food, so it didn’t seem like a slow night. But maybe it was. Staff wanting to close early due to a slow night doesn’t bother us, but in hindsight, maybe it was a sign something was off. Anyways, I truly hope we came in on an off night because reviews are overall positive. I just want to share my experience, and if you go here, maybe avoid these three dishes.
