Your JR was an awesome host!!! One of your server came up butted in while JR was waiting on us to give him another order to ring up. She should have waited until he was done with us first.

Food was hot and fresh. Service was excellent. Inside was very clean and everything was stocked. Staff were super friendly.

Some of the best chicken tenders and best tea. Fast services and always been polite when i have gone. One reason I keep going back.

Omg! Best mashed taters and gravy in town! Fried okra is awesome and livers always fresh out of the fryer!!!

Their chicken tenders are better than any I've ever had, and their tea is out of this world. This location gets your food to you quickly and the staff is very friendly. If you don't like your tea super sweet, you should get half sweet, half unsweet, just a heads up.

Honestly I haven't!!! Had better chicken I. Town. I used to be addicted to Popeyes, but as of late they have went way down hill. Definitely eat here. Food is always dern near perfect. The hot rolls are amazing, and the cute Hispanic ladies are always sweet hahahaha! But seriously, try them out. You won't regret it!

I was cleaning up the floor where my 1 year old dropped half his food (typical). What wasn't typical was that two different workers came immediately to make sure I knew that I did not need to do that. The manager also stopped me as I was leaving to say that was not necessary. I assured him his staff had already told me that, but my little one's mess was my responsibility. Great employees and service, plus great food. Who could ask for more?

I saw several cars pull into the drive through at once - random Sunday rush. I expected it to take 10 minutes, worth the wait. They had my order taken, payment made and food in my hands in something like less than 2 minutes. EXCELLENT!

My math teacher colleagues and I ate lunch after attending a workshop at Region 8. The food and service was very good!!!!! There were 8 of us. And the employees were very nice and helped us with any questions we had. Best chicken restaurant in Mt.Pleasant. The owner has high standards and that is something I always see when he is there or not there. Best rolls chicken tenders and mashed potatoes and gravy!!!!

Food was hot and fresh. Service was okay. Every table in the place was dirty.

The chicken was good but I didn't like the coleslaw. I would definitely suggest that anyone who visits get the rolls instead of the biscuits. They were the highlight of the meal.

I've never really had a bad experience on eating at Chicken Express. My only concern is the price of the meals. It's worth it to take a family 👪 outing here.

Went thru the drive thru. Pretty quick service, but I was the only one in drive thru at the time. Food was good. Only complaint I have is they didn't give me any gravy.

Fresh cooked to order food can't get any better than that.

I really enjoy the spicy chicken strips here. And the fried pickles. And the fried okra. Yep, it is the best fried food place I know. And, the staff follows the state mandate of social distancing and wears masks since they deal with a lot of people everyday. The store is very clean and will definitely get my fried food fix here again.

I'm going all in for the 2 piece fish dinner. I can't get bad fosh at any of their locations. My favorite sides are the green beans and the mash potatoes without gravy. When I'm mad, hubby will stop and grab me some fish, and it ends the argument. I mean who can argue when they are eating fried fish? Not me.

Spicy chicken strips were good. The food is always decent here. Servers weren't very friendly and they charged for dipping sauces. Other than that it was good.

Go there for a quick bite. Lines kinda slow. Fish is good. But having to pay for condiments kinda sucks . But that sweet Tea is the best !

$32 for a 20 piece family meal. No forks, plates, not even a napkin! Chicken nice and fresh though. That part of the impromptu picnic was good.

the side of okra I ordered waz burnt, so I asked if I could get a 5 min cook on them, we'll the lady came unglued, ,omg. so ended up getting a refund. .. (not good )

I ordered okra and a corn on the cob and when I opened the corn on the cob I was left with a long strand of black hair. I have blond hair. I normally love their food but today was strange.

I usually love this place, but for @ $20, the over $5 piece of fish was almost cold. The chicken was luke warm at best.

I'm always a big fan of Chicken Express. The spicy chicken strips are my favorite by far. The service is kinda dry, and the biscuits are a little crunchy compared to other Chicken Express restaurants I've been to, but it's by no means the worst place to get some food!

I generally like eating here, and the food was still good. My complaint is the chicken pieces were 2/3 the normal size. If the portions aren't going to remain the same as before, the prices need to reflect the difference as well.

Fried fish and okra burnt. Didn't give all order. Acted like they were put out to take our order.

The fish I got today was cold and tasted terrible. It is normally very good. Not sure the problem.

Called in order at 12:48 went to drive through about 15 minutes later and stated we are here for pick up order and was told to pull around and waited another 20 minutes to get food. When asked why it took so long the young man said no one told him we asked for it. What is the point of saying you are here for a pick up order only to wait 35 minutes.

Won't be back, spent 20 dollars on food, and still have to pay extra for a chincy dipping sauce. I can go down the street to a restaurant with wait staff and good service without getting upcharged for sauce.

The food is always good but I've driven to town multiple times to eat to see that they have closed at 8 or 730 when the lobby supposedly closes at 9. Very irritating. Close whenever you want but post it for the public.

Unfortunately I've had to change my rating now due to them repeatedly MISSING items on my order. I always ask for extra rolls. I always have to go back and remind them. They even ran out of spoons one time? They have also forgotten gravy numerous times after asking for it, since lately you have to ask for it due to a shortage. The chicken is also starting to taste stale 👎🏻 I used to love coming here it used to be one of my go to places. If I have to go full "karen" over chicken than I just prefer to stay away. This place has changed A LOT. I shouldn't have to talk slowly to a cashier for them to follow my order correctly.

I love the #1 and my #5 livers but baby when it comes to the staff they have really gone down please explain to me why I’m being greeted at the window by women that look like they have been smoking meth teeth just rotten as can be that’s noT WHAT I WANT SEE AS IM GETTING FOOD I know everybody needs a Job but you just don’t put that staff out as your greeter

I had been told it was "GOOD", but my experience was less than stellar. The workers didn't speak clearly, and there were mistakes in my order. Business was slow and the chicken wasn't hot, making me feel like it wasn't recently cooked, or else had been pre-cooked or reheated. On my second visit, the fish wasn't cooked long enough to be called "light golden", and wasn't hot inside. I hesitated but had no aftereffects from eating there two different times. When you go, check the heat and chrispiness before paying.

The guy working at the window with the not trimmed but yet not fully grown mustache needs to relax, the young man was rude.

The chicken was old and they reheated the chicken and sold it not to mention all of the underage high school children working there they always have a line their food is ridiculously overpriced and it's getting more expensive in the qualities going down.

Our entire family went last Thursday for chicken after family pictures. We were treated like lepers! Rude treatment by the Manager throughout, refused enough plates and forks, lied to regarding "closing early" to get us to leave, inspite of spending approximately $200! It seems as if large groups makes the control-freak manager nervous- only reason I can come up with. Terrible management and leadership. Will NEVER step foot in this location again.

I love Chicken E, but these last few times we've gone it seems like everyone working there hates their job. Rude and no customer service. Not getting getting the order right is one thing but getting mad when you go back to ask for what you already paid for that they forgot is poor. Will not be coming back. Very disappointing.

Terrible customer service!!!!! I ordered a 4 piece chicken tender meal and only received 2. So disappointed, I live 20 minutes away and store would not replace meal. Barely sounded sympathetic…. Gas isn’t cheap!

The fish was overcooked and mostly bread. Everytime we ask for extra sauce they only give us one. So six fish fillet and one tarter sauce. And one honey mustard for three people. It's over priced for the little amount of food I received.

was a once per week customer but no more as they've increased their prices three times since 03/2020. To my knowledge, Outlaw bbq and this place are the only restaurants in Mt. Pleasant, Tx. that have increased their prices.

Got livers..they were chewy and not done...the potatoes had a sour taste like they had been kept in the warmer too long...okra was hard...rolls were good tho

The food is good the staff are terrible it was so hot in the dining area we where all sweating .while we tried to eat we asked if they could turn the fan on .they asked the manager she lied and said the fans don’t work . We know she lied because when we walked off she told the girl to tell everyone the fans don’t work that she isn’t getting up there to turn them on . So if these people will lie about that how can we trust there food visted for the last time at 2pm August 23 used to be our favorite place to eat !!!

We decided to go to chicken express. Never had a bad experience until we went to the one in Mt. Pleasant. Part of our order was missing. This was not discovered until we arrived home. My husband returned to collect the missing food and was accused by the staff of lying. He requested to speak to the manager. After being told several times the manager was on break, they finally pointed out Carmen. Now Carmen spoke to the employees and then accused my husband of lying. This is sad. Don't go here if you want to be treated like a valued customer. It will not happen.

Ordered the 3 piece Fish Filets with fries, I should have known better when I got my order a lot quicker than usual. It was almost 3:30 in the afternoon and the food tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since the noon hour. The fish and hush puppies were dried and I couldn't get past the first piece of fish before I called it quits. Never again, I'll order it fresh cooked and wait.

Poor customer service! Terrible ridiculous experience. They literally argued with me about a side of ranch that I paid for and then did not give me my full order. I had to go through my entire bag to prove the ranch was not in there for them to then give it to me. Instead of just giving me what I paid and asked for they said it's already in the bag. Total lack of effort. Then I had to drive back for my drink that I did not get. When I mentioned the ranch situation and my missing drink to the manager on duty, they all looked at me craY and said "well there is a policy that we get in trouble for giving extra sauce. My problem is that is was not extra. It was my sauce, I paid for it and now here I am having to come back. I did not appreciate the poor experience. I do not even recall an apology because they made me so mad. The other excuse was passing the blame. The window guy said he didn't bag my food. That was my point on lack of effort. After i searched my bag i said it's not in here and he handed it to me. If an extra ranch is going to break you then maybe you should not be in business! Treating customers this way is a lot more harmful to your business.

I don’t know who is managing this place, but the staff they have need to be trained on customer service. Went to the counter twice, once to order and the other to get a to go container, and both times people would not acknowledge me for several minutes. Will not be back.

My husband got two strips boxes and we received lil chunks and pieces that were overcooked and hard. I called and spoke with the manager wanted us to bring the food back after we waited 10 minutes to get it and live 20 miles away. Before we could get fresh food! I will not ever eat here again!!

My mother & I walk in waited at the counter for assistance, there were 3 young hispanic guys just laughing and chit chatting behind the counter, seen us, but yet kept on with what they were doing. It took for me to say something for them to actually yell "counter". Apart from the service, the place was gross. The drink counter was disgusting and so were the tables. Maybe the owner should clean house since these kids dont want to work. Oh and let me mention that there was 1 other customer in the establishment so they werent busy. Im so disappointed in chicken express.

This Chicken Express sucks, the employees are rude & disrespectful, they are & definitely seem racist, you can tell the interaction with white people to Other races. I gave my card to the big Hispanic guy and when he walked away I saw him looking at my card just not welcoming at all! I do Not recommend anyone to eat here

This is my hometown Chicken Express and their customer service has gotten worse through the years! I requested gravy as instructed on their drive board only to not get gravy in either order not the first time either. Everytime we order a family meal and ask for all basket they still give us what they want. Them I called to complain about this trip and they just sit there quietly on the phone ultimately offer a bs apology.

The runners are wonderful, the workers at the window are rude. They refuse to provide condiments and utensils. Maria was absolutely rude, other employees remarked she was just sassy. Not a good trait when dealing with customers. To top things off, they took forever to complete the order and it was *still* wrong.

Honestly if I could give less I would but I can't. I understand restaurants run out of food especially fast food restaurants but let somebody know. Don't ignore your drive through for 15 plus minutes while you and your coworkers are laughing and playing/shoving each other around when have a drive through line backed up to the road. All you had to do was open the window and communicate.

The help wanted sign in fron stole have been a clue, easily some of the most clueless, hard headed staff in MT. Pleasant. I know mistakes happen when taking an order, but trying to argue with the coustomer is a bit much. Food was good even though it was not what we ordered.

Order a number 4 combo, white meat, breast and wing. The breast is like rubber. Called back with order info and she only want to explain that breast or dry sometimes. Lady this is not dry soaked in grease and like I explained the meat texture would not even break down by chewing it. RUBBER..FAKE MEAT. HORRIBLE AND THE TEA IS LIKE THEY POURED 3 LARGE BAGS OF SUGAR IN IT. NEVER AGAIN !!! MT PLEASANT TX ....

It was a little disappointing, coming back to Texas and going to chicken express excited because this used to be One of my favorite places to go when I was younger. I’ve lived out of state for a long time. I went back and the cashier was kind, but dry not truly warm or welcoming. The cost was surprising. When we ordered cheese sticks I assumed the menu picture was what we would get, we got 2 cheese sticks. I asked for honey packets They said that honey is no longer something they offer, they have salt pepper and ketchup, no ranch or other sauces offered. when I went to refill my water cup, they said that that was something I could not do because it was my water bottle. And the associate just told me that she doesn’t wanna get in trouble because of her boss seeing that happen. And I understand there’s protocol and things you have to follow. But it just left a terrible ending to a mediocre experience.

Order a seven piece spicy tenders and we got four pieces of very small chicken. Worst $ 16.00 dollars we've ever spent. Thought Popeyes chicken in Paris was the worst. Not anymore.

Stopped here for first time ever. Ordered the 25 piece chicken tenders and they wanted to charge us for sauce! So we got no sauce for our tenders family meal. It was all young guys working there. Which is weird to have no females working at all and how when you spend $50 for a meal do they give zero sauces!! We were the only ones there and had to wait and wait. Do better! We won't be going back!

I have been coming to this location since it opened, but, unfortunately, in the past couple of years the quality was just plummeted. My husband and I recently went in to get dinner: chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and gravy and a roll. He got a corn on the cob, I got fried okra. We both got sweet tea and I ordered spicy tenders to try. The spicy tenders were the only thing that was hot, well seasoned, and good. Which, really, makes no sense because our food was ready before we even paid. The regular chicken tenders were overcooked, under seasoned, and cold. The mashed potatoes were also cold and the white gravy on top looked partially congealed. The rolls tasted good, but were cold, the fried okra was WAY overcooked (to the point that most pieces were burned and crispy), yet cold, and the corn was SURPRISINGLY hot, but not seasoned at all. It’s almost like the food was intended for a nursing home instead of a fast food restaurant. I used to eat at this location all the time, but due to the drastic increase of their prices and substandard food, I have been limiting my visits with the vague hope that it will, once again, be good. I keep being disappointed - this visit especially.

Never seen a place where if you don't eat gravy they charge you if you want any other kind of sauce. Got two tenders, a small fry, and a roll for 9$. Would have been better if the chicken wasn't cook to a crisp. Smh This place has really went down.

Went through the drive through, saw my order get handed out the window then returned back from the vehicle. The employee came outside and gave us our order and we asked if it was handed out, he said no, then we told him we watched it be handed out and he said “well yea but I saw them and they only checked the receipt and gave it back”. One of the boxes had clearly been opened when they returned it. We waited about 8 minutes before the original food got to us, we asked for it to be remade and I am sure they gave us back the same food because the kid went inside and came back with the bag in roughly 2 minutes. Sad to say we didn’t want to eat the food. I understand it’s kids working but the standards should be higher.

Every other chicken express we have been too allows you to get no gravy and you get 2 sauces instead. After ordering and waiting 20 mins for our food they tell us they don’t do that and charged us for the extra sauces. For the amount they are charging for meals, they should not be charging for sauces. We paid over $30 for two meals. If you are that cheap, stop giving the gravy that people don’t want. Absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible customer service. We eat at various Chicken Express locations all over Texas and this is the only one ever to refuse to make fresh, extremely well done okra. Was told by the manager that the owner prohibits special orders. I asked if the owner was there. No, of course not. Well, then, why can't you just do a batch? Oh no, the owner watches us on camera. She then proceeded to take the "freshly cooked" okra (it was NOT freshly cooked. It was lukewarm at best) from our order, and handed me a box of the exact same batch of lukewarm okra. Why? Just why? If we didn't accept it the 1st time, why would we want it repackaged? We asked for and got our money back. We won't be back to this location.

I go to Chicken Express all the time, but the last three visit have been horrible. All three visit they forgot something in my order, rolls, hush puppies, tarter sauce. I asked for a 2 piece fish combo and I only got one piece of fish. Then there is no apology or nothing when I have to wait on them to correct the order. These people are running this business down, I definitely won’t be back.

We have eaten at chicken express on multiple occasions. It's extremely frustrating when you unload everyone from the vehicle and walk up to dine and the doors are locked at 8pm. They seem to randomly lock the doors whenever they please. Lobby hours should be posted on the door.
