We didn't realize it was still restaurant week last night when we went. We had an 8:30 reservation, but got there around 8 thinking we'd get a drink at the bar first. The place was packed, but some how they sat us within minutes of our arrival. We wound up ordering off the regular menu, not the price fix. The service was excellent. The food was delicious! Menu is extensive. Even with how busy they were, we waited for nothing, our waitress and server were very attentive. Answered all our questions, accommodated all our request, and packed up all our left overs (servings were so generous). The atmosphere is right up my alley. Farmhouse Chic . We will definitely go back.

Have hosted two events (including my daughters first birthday), and dined here multiple times. Great spot with delicious food and friendly & accommodating staff! Would definitely recommend.

Went for the very first time the last nite of restaurant week. EVERYTHING about this place is terrific. It began with Ben, who was behind the bar, as that's where we ate. He was charming. And, I LOVE when I ask a question and I get an answer --- not a "Let me check." Ben didn't have to say that once. Asparagus on the prix fix menu was delicious and creative. Calamari had tentacles, which I love!! Salads. Salmon. Steak --- all so good! And, we made some nice, new friends. Trendy but still cool. Just go!!!!!

My wife and I have come here many times. The food is very consistent and the specials are always a surprise. We started out with raw oysters calamari arrabiata. I had to halibut my wife had swordfish. Both dinners were delicious. We sat at the bar and had a great conversation with people around us. The bartenders were very friendly

Went there for my mom's 97th birthday, 14 of us. Had the special snapper was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My son who has a food allergy was taken care of and really enjoyed his meal. Appetizers to dessert they came thru as always.

Visited last night for a belated Valentine’s Day dinner with my partner. As a fellow server, I have to say, Travis was outstanding! Super friendly and attentive, and didn’t feel rushed at all. Prices are fair. The burrata appetizer on the specials menu was very fresh and meals were great. Ambiance is warm and romantic. Will definitely be coming back!

Let me just tell you about this restaurant, this family, the staff... I remember going to Savino's Hideaway when I was in high school... It was great then and it has only gotten better throughout the years! We go there all the time with our friends and family, and every single experience is amazing. The food is outstanding and fresh; always prepared with care by the kitchen staff behind the scenes. And they make the best drinks! All the bartenders pour awesome drinks, but I am partial to Candace who always has a big hug and my favorite drink ready for me as soon as we see each other! They treat you like family, and are totally genuine about it... Joe, Maria and the rest of the family are the most amazing hosts... I highly recommend savino's hideaway for dinner, any kind of baby or bridal shower or family party. There are so many places we can go on Long Island and we literally come here at least 3 times a week. Go. You'll see why. ♡

I took my wife here for our 21st anniversary today and had a late lunch/early dinner. I don't have enough nice things to say about our experience. The food was arguably the best we've had in a long time. I had Chicken Parm with Penne and she had Broiled Shrimp with Asparagus Ravioli. We also had the Calamari which was perfectly done and delicious. Our server was on point. We can't wait to go back.

Food is always delicious! Love the seasonal specialty drinks. The rigatoni stuffed with lobster is my go-to dish. Somehow, I look at the whole menu then seem to gravitate right back to the rigatoni stuffed lobster. The fireplace by the bar, makes for such a cozy setting to meet up with friends or have a nice date night. I highly suggest making a reservation. Usually my choice for my birthday celebration. Only downside is the cell service there isn't the best. Makes it difficult to post my yummy food and drink pics to social media, lol.

I cannot recommend Savinos enough to everyone!!! The food is delicious every single time I've ever gone. We've gone for every event....birthdays, baby showers, date nights, everything! I was fortunate, years ago my mother told me about the hideaway. She & my father would go there in the 70’s, I suppose. (She’s been gone for sometime) It took me many years thereafter to actually end up there, all redone and absolutely beautiful. I was impressed with it’s size yet such a warm atmosphere, with the family photos on the walls of this family owned & operated business.The food is simply outstanding & consistent every time. I have eaten here quite often over the last 6 or 7 years & to me consistency is everything in a restaurant. The staff is a reflection of their employers, hardworking, friendly & always doing their absolute best in making sure you are happy with everything. Any day or night of the week you can not go wrong here.

Service, atmosphere, food was exceptional. Only slight complaint is that it is very loud inside. Ordered the special and was as good as advertised. The wait staff was attentive and thorough, Jon, was exceptional!

Usually my experience at Savinos was excellent. Last Sunday it was a nightmare. Not enough servers. We sat outside and waited an hour for our food. We decided to leave before the food came but they eventually rushed it out and the pasta meal was filled with liquid. I’m so disappointed in this past experience and while I will return I hope this never happens again. We had to keep requesting for them to fill our water glasses. Obviously they were overbooked.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Very nice food, wonderful feel post renovation. Prices reasonable, waiter was great. Want to come back at night and see it with live music and a crowd! We went here for my cousin’s birthday and we really loved the food here everything was delicious we order the Ny Steak which was cooked at the perfect temperature some Alfredo pasta, and Stuffed lobster and shrimp Rigatoni, Octopus salad that they had for special that was so delicious definitely coming back for more!!!!

Went here for a dinner on Friday night, 7:30 reservation for 6 people. Was seated right away, and we were about 20 minutes early. Food was super tasty. Wine selection wasn't too big when it comes to by that glass.

We had an incredible experience at Savino’s! First off the restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is classy and lively. Though they were SO busy, we were well taken care of from the moment we walked in. Travis was our waiter and he was so knowledgeable and attentive. They serve bread as you are seated and have a great variety of appetizers and entrees. We went with the “SPIEDINI MOZZARELLA ALLA SAVINO” the signature sauce is very good. For entrees we had the chicken francese & lasagna, both so delicious. Thank you Travis for an amazing experience and the savinos team for giving us such great food & service!

Went to Savino’s Hideaway for date night. They sat us in this cute little room with only 4 other tables. Very romantic. Lauren was our server and was absolutely amazing. We ordered the mussels with marinara, calamari, Chicken Parmesan and Salmon Alfredo. Everything came out perfect. We cannot recommend this place enough! Request Lauren if she’s working, she’s great!

Food was good, the service was very nice. I don't want to dock them more than a star, but they are not currently serving alcohol. The food tasted good and they went above and beyond for extras they did. Though they charged for broccoli, saying it was an extra charge over the pasta it came with. Even though they were the same side prices. I wouldn't hesitate to go there, but go there realizing they may up charge.

The food was excellent. All fresh and well prepared with the right temperature. The atmosphere is rustic as it is a log cabin and has much history behind it. Bar was very noisy but it was a friday night. It's pretty much off the beaten path, but it's worth a visit.

The place is as beautiful outside as it is inside. The decor is right, the atmosphere is amazing. The staff and the servers are all extremely kind and attentive. The garlic bread you start with is so darn delicious we couldn't help but ask for more! As dinner came out it was extremely good, but it didn't blow my socks off. I ordered a Chicken Parmesan and it was a beautiful cut of chicken but the flavor wasn't as unique as I thought it would be.

Chicken cordon bleu was terrible. More breading than chicken and burnt on the bottom. I’m only giving it 3 stars because the people I was dining with said they enjoyed their meals. I wish I had ordered something else but I’m not sure I’d go back.

Let me start off this review by saying their food is exceptional. I've never gotten a bad meal there. The restaurant is very clean, the decor, and ambiance is perfect. That being said, the hostess, and wait staff leave much to be desired. I've been to Savino's on 3 occasions and it definitely seems that they cater to their regular customers and really brush aside people that do not frequent their establishment. Most recently, my family and I made reservations on a Tuesday. We showed up during our reservation time and waited in front of the hostess for 10-15 minutes before she even picked her head up to acknowledge us. There was no one else waiting to be seated and the restaurant was very empty. To make the matter worse, patrons sitting at the bar were staring, and whispering to one another. I can only assume they were commenting about the fact that we were wearing masks until we got to our seat. Very uncomfortable. My previous experience there was not better. I had called to make reservations to which the hostess said, that reservations were not necessary and to just come in. Once we arrived I saw that it was busy and was told there would be a 30 minute wait. The wait turned out to be about an hour and a half and during that time 3 large groups of people who arrived after us were seated immediately. These parties seemed to be very familiar with the wait staff and employees. It was very reminiscent to the lobster restaurant scene in the movie Summer Rental (except I didn't have an redeeming outburst like John Candy). Overall: great food but be prepared to be ignored until the check comes.

I've been to Savio's several times. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is usually courteous and attentive. The food, for me, has been inconsistent. Over the summer, my husband and I had a meatball pizza which was delicious. Recently, for lunch, my husband had rigatoni Bolonese which he said was very flavorful. My eggplant parm was disappointing. Instead of breadcrumbs, the eggplant slices tasted like they were just dipped in eggs which made them limp and bland. The sauce and cheese on top looked delicious, but really wasn't. I would go back again and try something else. I still like this place.

I had heard great things, but was very disappointed. We were seated in a room having a loud birthday party, even though I had made reservations for 2. When we asked to be moved we were placed in another bad spot, next to the wait staff's condiment table and therefore we were constantly being interrupted for them to get past us. I felt rushed by the wait staff to order, which was unfortunate. Since we had drinks, appetizers, salad, entrees and dessert amounting to over 100 dollars, we would have liked to have been given some time to enjoy. My whole wheat penne pasta looked exactly like the whole wheat penne pasta I have at home in a box. Disappointed....

Honestly, the only food I have eaten today was from savinos… the clams did not look fully cooked and I have barely been able to leave my bathroom since coming home from dinner. but great pasta !

Food was very average. I was with 8 people,and I ordered burata for appetizer ( it was ok). For entree spagetti and meatballs,which was lacking sauce( just ok). The dessert was actually the best out of the whole meal...I ordered zeppoles w nutella..very very good. This was my 1st time here...maybe I would back IF im in the area,or by invite.? But I wouldn't say this is" my go to place" so many other great restaurants on long island.

Never again!! How does that rating happen at a place with such a good reputation??? Restaurant week, never again, and a snarky owner/ manager type, with a bad attitude, that's how.. Overworked Server who could not have worked harder for our table....I felt so bad for her ... It was disgraceful how many tables she had.. I'd be surprised if she didnt quit that night.. The food was on par with Dennys, and that is being generous.. My Flounder tasted like it was frozen, unfrozen, frozen, unfrozen, forzen, unfrozen, etc,etc... Bland nothingness My Father's Fried shrimp had a bleachy taste to it... Chicken Cordon Blue... with a Red Sauce ??? Really??? Did the Chef even get out of a High School Culinary Program?? Who's idea was THAT ???? And to add to the debacle, 2, out of the 12 people who ate at our table, NEVER got their food, until we were getting ready to leave... Never again... Keep your little hideaway, snotty attitude, and your snarkiness I need to say it one more time NEVER AGAIN!!!

We came in for lunch and the hostess tried to seat us in a room that was 100% a party besides the table for 2 she was giving us. We declined and asked to sit in another area (the restaurant is huge…) and she immediately became agitated. She even threw the menus back in the area she took them from. It was so uncomfortable we actually decided to leave soon after getting a different table because of how rude she was. Will not be back.

Waited 90 minutes for dry, burnt steak. Mashed potatoes are worse than KFC mash potatoes. Rigatoni bolognese tasted like box dinner. Gravy was horrible.

They serve ketchup with the steak. Steamed veggies horribly under cooked. Fish was mid, couldn't tell if they even seasoned or did anything to it. Avoid this place

I originally sent this via their website contact. They never got back to me. Edited for posting a 1 star review. We had dinner there on Tuesday. 5/6/25. They were not busy, just a loud bar. We decided to be seated in the fireplace room. Still to loud but tolerable. Everyone was very polite, helpful and welcoming, we had a nice chat with the maître d and enjoyed our VERY long stay, because the kitchen was super slow. Like 40+ minutes to get the appys out. The mussels and the onion soup were great, when they finally came out. They were not hot, just luke warm. The entrees finally came out 20 min after the appys. Which would not be acceptable to anyone. The grilled flounder I ordered and barely ate, was actually chicken, which I do not like at all. I only figured it out when I took out the leftovers to eat the next day. My gf had the 'Hideaway', and it was not filet Mignon. She said it was overcooked pot roast and only 2 thin overcooked slices of it for $23. She never complained and no one ever asked us if the meal was OK, just if we needed anything. So $39 of the bill was food that was no good to us. A credit to my credit card would have been appreciated. We won't be back EVER. They never got back to me when PM'd on their website. I used to go to the Hideaway a lot over the years. Never again.
