I am commenting on the food only as I got pickup from the restaurant, but the staff were very nice and seemed to be very happy. I ordered the Rigatoni Rustico, Gnocchi Matriciana, and the Spaghetti with meat sauce. Everything was delicious. The Rigatoni was fantastic with sausage and mushrooms. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm so glad we found this place! Growing up in an Italian family, I can be picky when it comes to Italian food. The food here is authentic, delicious, and is worth every penny. The service was great too! Our server interacted with our kids and even showed us a little magic trick. :) We thoroughly enjoyed everything about Rustico and will definitely be coming back.

Outstanding Italian food. The menu gives enough options for a person to order a full entree or lighter appetizers or tapas. The owners and servers are extremely friendly and generous. They make a point to know their patrons and foster an atmosphere of care and professionalism. If you come often enough, you start to meet your neighbors and get a true sense of community. There is a separate room for larger gatherings with a cozy European feel. A Wall of Wines offers a sophisticated choice above and beyond what one would usually find on a wine list. You can choose to dine healthy on an exceptional Brussels Sprouts dish, or vegetarian entree, or you can order delicious pizza or a creatively presented entree. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and has won many cooking awards. I would recommend Rusticos to everyone.

Every time I go to this place it’s great. Feels like an authentic Italian restaurant. Complimentary bread was very good! Every time I get something it’s delicious. Delicious food! We sat in the parking lot patio section with a large group of 11 people on a Saturday evening. The waiter was awesome and got everything for us quickly. The food was delicious and good sized and the free appetizer bread was amazing!!! I’ll definitely return

Quaint eatery in a local neighborhood. Hubby loved his steak dish. Commented that it's the best he has had in a while. My antipasto salad was ok, but I believe it was an appetizer and not meant for a full meal. Will be going back to try more dishes.

Went in for take out and they didn't disappoint. Lasagna, antipasto, meatballs and cold beer were all on point. Staff was super friendly and atmosphere is open and airy. Prices were reasonable for serving size. We'll go back to try dining in.

The restaurant was cozy and intimate. My family and I were visiting from Las Vegas and decided to stop by Rustico for the cheese wheel pasta. Although it is only offered on special occasions, we are definitely coming back because of the excellent service we received! David was amazing! He made us feel welcomed and well taken care of! One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been too. The first time I dined in and the food was amazing as well as the atmosphere. This second time I got takeout and it was just as great. It is more than worth it for the price. The way they add a little cup of oil/vinegar for the bread they give you with the meal is just one of the subtle things that make this place so perfect. I don't have enough good things to say about it! You have to go!

We absolutely love Rustico's. We took my mom there Saturday night for her birthday and now its her favorite too! The food is always delicious, the staff goes out of there way to make your experience delightful, and the atmosphere is on point.

Came to Rustico based off of great Google & Yelp reviews. I was looking for a place to take my wife after a day of wine tasting for a delicious dinner at a place that wasn't too crazy expensive like old town Temecula is. They brought out fresh bread with olive oil & balsamic right after we were seated and took our drink order quickly. We had the Calamari, Eggplant Parm and Chicken Piccata which all very fantastic. Very impressed with the food and staff at Rustico! Thanks also to our server Jessica for a great night! P.S. they have a great Happy Hour too from 3pm until close so make sure you take advantage of you can!

This experience blew my mind. Authentic, superior service and the food was beyond 5 stars. Portions were perfect, appetizers were great to share. Can't say enough good things. You must experience it. PS not good for kids. Leave them home! I don't want to hear screaming kids when I'm enjoying such great food.

Great experience, I think this is our second time dining here and we went back because the first time we loved the food and this time was not the exception. Service and food was awesome. We order a risotto with shrimp and scallops, I forgot the name of the sauce but the sauce was delicious maybe next time I will ask for that dish with extra sauce. We also order a beef ravioli with mushrooms and that dish was also delicious. We will definitely go back and try some new dishes.

The wine and alcohol drinks were on a menu. The regular drinks not being on the menu wasn’t that big of a deal to me since they had Pepsi and lemonade that I usually drink anyway. 10/10 regardless 👍😊

Rustic is a friendly neighborhood upscale Italian restaurant with an old school charm. I’ve lived in the area for over 7 years and whenever friends come to visit they always mention my proximity to Rustico and how much they enjoy it. My family just came down to visit for the holidays and daughter in law told me that she really wanted to return to Rustico! ( she’d been there once earlier) Hats off to our server Bianca. She handled our rather large party ( 4 kids between 6 and 10 months ) of 8 effortlessly and made us feel like family. I’ve n Been there for casual dinners, business meetings and even a cast party! The menu is excellent, well balanced with something for everyone. If you get a chance, do yourself a favor and stop in!

My wife and I chose Rustico Ristorante & Pizzeria for our first anniversary dinner, and it was the perfect decision. From the moment we walked in, we felt special. The hostess, Shannon, was incredibly lovely and welcoming, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. The food was absolutely incredible—you can really taste that everything is made from scratch with clean, local ingredients. We were offered some incredible bread made fresh with scallion oil that was incredible and a perfect start to a perfect meal. We ordered the New Yorker Pizza, which was loaded with delicious toppings (the meats were fantastic!), and the Lobster Mac and Cheese. The pasta was rich, creamy, and decadent—truly to die for. To top it all off, the service was impeccable. Shannon was very helpful with wine recommendations that paired perfectly with our meal. We were also treated to a beautiful cannoli dessert with a "Happy Anniversary" chocolate, which was such a thoughtful and sweet touch. If you are in the Temecula/Murrieta area and looking for authentic Italian food with top-tier hospitality, I highly recommend Rustico. We will definitely be back!

Pasta Primavera was cooked perfectly, bruschetta was fantastic and their house bread is out of this world. I had been passing this place daily for more than a year before I finally decided to try it. Man, I've been missing out!! The food was fantastic. It was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Don't pass on the BREAD! The bread came to my table fresh out the oven with a tasty olive oil and vinegar mix for dipping. I ordered the brussel sprouts as an appetizer. The portion was much bigger than I expected, and it was delicious. I'll likely return and just get the brussel sprouts as my main entree. I ordered the Linguine Frutti di Mare with red sauce. The came with a lot of mussels! Great dish! Everything was very filling. The atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and welcoming. My waitress was very friendly and attentive. All in all, visiting this restaurant was a GREAT experience. I highly recommend it!

My wife and I have been coming here for many years. Usually, for a special occasion, I ordered an appetizer my favorite stuffed mushrooms. Our dinner arrived but no appetizer. I was disappointed. Our waitress apologizes . For me, it was too late for her to bring it out as she offered. We still enjoyed our experience and dinner. We will go again. January 2022: Penne Arrabiata was really tasty. Eggplant still great as well. Fettuccine Alfredo needed a little more parmesan to get som saltiness but I still enjoyed all of it. 2020: Really enjoyed the Eggplant Parmesan here. The marinara sauce was delicious. I also had the cheesecake and creme brulee which were both larger desserts than typical. Definitely coming back.

It may not look like too much from the outside but I absolutely love this Italian restaurant. There's patio seating on the outside but if you want to immerse yourself in an aesthetically pleasing Italian wine cellar, I suggest you dine indoors in the newly renovated dining room. My husband and I had our Valentines dinner here even though the reservation list was full and the wait was over an hour. Friendly staff and great service. We started off with the calamari and caprese salad appetizers which was delicious. The calamari was lightly battered and crispy which I enjoyed because I don't like getting full off of heavily battered over priced appetizers. We ordered two main course dishes, one was a lobster stuffed ravioli and the other was slow braised short ribs with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. Everything was just so satisfying with wonderful flavors that paired nicely with the Zinfandel wine the waitor suggested. I can't believe I haven't frequented this establishment but I live fairly close by so we'll definitely be back.

Great place can’t recommend it enough. Our sever was awesome and the food was outstanding with good portion sizes. The fresh baked bread is very good. I saw a couple negative reviews about the flavors of the dishes, I can say the three adult dishes and two kid meals we got were all great. I think this will be our go to place for Italian food. Always a great experience here! Only 4 stars as when my husband and I went recently we were not greeted by the hosts. We walked up to the bar for help to reserve a table for our family and we had to turn around and go back to the hosts that we just walked past. They were talking among each other and we felt as though we were interrupting. Super weird that they did not address us. But our server was amazing! I wish I could remember his name. Food was amazing as always, and lovely rest of the evening. Definatly recommend this place!!

The reason why I gave the atmosphere too was because it was crowded and those booths were so small. It was so uncomfortable. they had the back room closed and for the food we ordered there was hardly any room on the table to put the food that we ordered. their antipasto salad hardly had any meat on it so if you like me on your antipasto salad don't order theirs.

Overall, it was a good experience. Service was a bit slow. We waited to be seated when only one other family was there already eating. Food came out at room temperature and was sloppily presented. I didn't think to take photos because there was no wow factor. I ordered the chicken carciofi, there weren't any tomatoes as expected and the food was just pale.

I enjoyed my evening and meal at Rustico I plan on returning to try other items on the menu.

They said they didn’t have anything to put baby car seat on so felt weird and unsafe to just leave my baby on a chair. Was super disappointed in my pasta (the penne pasta marinara) I forgot the exact title but something simple to make I’d think but my pasta was mushy/ over cooked and watery and almost flavorless. The server with a cool accent was super sweet and attentive and respectful! He is the main reason why I’m giving as many stars as I am. Also loved the chocolate cake with ice cream :)

A family owned restaurant and the pizza was larger than I was expecting. They serve bread with oil and vinegar which was delicious but you have to be careful with eating too much. I definitely took half of the pizza home with me. Friendly bartenders. You can see they have WiFi but they don't give out a password, boo!!!

Ordered to go, got 2 large, 2 topping pizzas, my total was $60.00. The price was ok, on par with pretty much everyone else in the area, the taste wasn't terrible, but the texture was a bit weird. It didn't taste like melted cheese, it reminded me of more like a quesadilla that was taken off the stove too soon, and the pizza came out with a weird texture. It still wasn't bad, I think that's how the place makes it, I don't think it was a mistake, but it's just not my cup of tea. I didn't really mingle in there, but what little interaction I had, they were nice people, quick to help. The inside looked really nice too though, might make for a nice date night.

Had heard great things about this place and decided to try it out. The food was fantastic but the service was lacking in a big way. Had to ask another waitress to get our waitress and then watched her walk to the front and talk with other coworkers and never tell our waitress we needed anything. Kind of seemed like everyone walked around and didn’t want to make eye contact with you because they didn’t want to be asked for anything. I will definitely give it another try because the food was so good, maybe it was just an off day for the waitstaff.

Food was great. Even though it’s a lot of bread/pasta I didn’t feel overly full. The server was friendly and attentive. Only complaint was that it was a little warm in the restaurant. Could’ve had the AC running better.

After being closed for a month due to remodeling (a car slammed into the restaurant from Winchester Boulevard), Rustico is back! The food is always good here, the place is always busy, and the service is great. If you're in the mood for Italian food, it's hard to beat Rustico. :)

We enjoyed a late dinner with attentive service and good food. My chicken parmesan was cooked well but could have used more sauce. The accompanying vegetables were delicious. The pasta was overcooked but not inedible. My wife's meatballs were delicious.

Decent food, nice dark atmosphere. Only complaint is the complementary bread, it looks good, has a flavorful topping, and the olive oil dip is tasty, however, the bread itself tastes like paper to the point that the blandness overwhealms the topping, as well as the dryness and crumbly consistancy of the cheapest hamburger buns. Please replace it or get rid of it altogether, it made me suspicious of the food which did the entree a disservice since it was alright, but I should not have felt trepidation before the meal or had to be relieved when it wasn't as bad as I had been fearing.

Loud family style Italian restaurant, food is very good, service is also very good. I prefer outside as it's not as noicey, but good food and families are loud. Worth enjoying.

This wasn't my choice for dinner when meeting friends for a holiday dinner together. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my meal, and my wife and I both made our dinner selections from the specials menu. We normally only dine out on special occasions or when traveling out of town. Having dinner at a pizzeria is very rare for us, the atmosphere- loud conversations, and clanking of dishes is not how we prefer to spend an evening out. But our meals were satisfactory for the price and our dessert was memorable.

The service here is great. I've been a few times and always get fenominal service. The complimentary bread is a plus and their wine selection is pretty good. As for the food I feel it's hit or miss; some otems are very bland while others have too much rich sauce. I have yet to try the pizza but that will be my next review.

We're new to the area and are on a quest to find the best dining establishments locally. I've read reviews about this place as being the best Italian restaurant around, so of course I had to see what all the fuss is about. Overall, the place was clean and the staff was friendly. We were seated pretty quickly. They have an OK menu, it's not great. ... I had hoped to be able to add this restaurant to my "Recommend" list but I just cannot in good conscience. Granted, this was my first visit and everybody has an off day. To be fair, I will return to give this place another shot. That next visit will be the determining factor of whether or not I will give my stamp of approval. There was something inauthentic about the flavor profiles of the dishes we had. The sauces lacked the depth I'm used to and it seemed to me that the food preparation was rushed and the flavors were not allowed to develop..... in other words, attentive improvement is needed.

I was happy to find and book a reservation here, as most places were fully booked for Mothers day. I was hopeful because I love a good bruschetta. We were seated at a small table and service was generally good although we did wait over an hour for our entrees. The bruschetta was abnormally sweet. Too much balsamic glaze, perhaps. And the bread was soggy. The mom-osa was perfect although I would have preferred a "bottomless" option. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was very good. The lobster skewers were a bit rubbery. My fiance ordered the filet medallions and although he enjoyed his meal, I found it to be seriously lacking salt. And his scalloped potatoes were gray. Perhaps left sitting out too long before cooking? Over all, the meal was "alright". Ill have to try the pizza before I can decide whether this place is for me, or not.

Bummed I have to even write this. Picked up take out tonight, two entrees. Placing the order was great. Whoever answered was super friendly, helpful and efficient. Upon arriving entering the reception area to the dining room smelled horrid. I went to the bar, my food was ready to go. The guy that checked me out at the register was super nice. After arriving home I was pumped to dig in. Open up one entree and there are not 1 but 2 short black hairs in it. It stuck out like a sore thumb. The worst part was I tasted it prior to seeing it. The risotto was the worst risotto I’ve ever had. Immediately tossed it after seeing the hairs. My other dish was ok, nothing to write home about but from what I saw hair free. It was mediocre at best. You are better off going to Olive Garden.

The food is to die for, however, the service might actually kill you. My wife and I ate here tonight and when seated, we heard the waiter picking up our table clearly say, "I don't want to pick up their table." We then waited about ten minutes to get water brought to our table. While there were other guests, many tables were empty. Our server, Carlos F, was unfriendly and unwelcoming. I was one bite into the dessert when he dropped off our check without a word. It felt like we were being rushed due to his shortness with us. Our waters weren't refilled or offered to be refilled either. Overall, it's a shame that the service was lacking because the food is phenomenal.

I hate to write this review but this place has gone done hill significantly from what it used to be. First tried it when we moved to the area 5 years ago and it was delicious. Each time we have been in the past few years has not been good. Service is mediocre, but more importantly the food is uninspired. The other night was served truly one of the worst spaghetti dishes I’ve ever had. Pizza was so soggy and covered with cheese that we had to eat it with a fork. Not sure if ownership changed or they can’t find good cooks or what else is going on but just is not the same place it once was.

I took my mother here for Mother’s Day, our server was sweet and very attentive. The one thing that I noticed was that this restaurant seats people of color in a closed room away from whites. I found that very strange. I never felt so awkward in a public setting in my life. The food personally was not enjoyable, my mother did not even eat her food. It wasn’t a good experience for us. The only good thing about here was our server, she provided great service. Definitely not worth our time, drive or money. If your skin color is not white you will be seated in a closed room away from the rest.

The service is so bad! I enjoyed their food for years. The last 3 times in a row, the staff has made mistakes in the order (they don't write down the order) and when we all questioned the waitress about the order being wrong, she makes a big deal about us wanting them to fix their error. I guess they expected us to eat whatever they brought and smile for the 45 minutes it took for them to fix their error. Oh, and my family was the only people left in the establishment by this point. Very sad because i loved their food, but I won't go back!

I have always always loved this place.. The last two times that I have been there have not absolutely not been that great. When I tell the waiter please don’t put too much lemon in my drink. It gives me heartburn.,, and my drink comes with a lot of lemon. It’s like excuse me did you not hear me? Well this is what happened that time! And he took my drink and he took it back to the bartender. I turned over and they were looking at me like of course, talking about me.!! like there’s just so much to say we don’t we’ve never seen each other. And all I wanted was my drink made just right!! understand things are getting so expensive drinks are like more than food $$$$$ So I really expected for someone to step up to the plate and get me the right drink common sense!! When he brought it back, I’m sorry, but it was not made correctly!!! so I just told him you know what never mind I don’t want it.!!! When he came back to our table, he said I make drinks for my wife,, I said well, how nice I said, make me one surprise me with something good but don’t put so much lemon.. oh no, I can’t. I don’t know what to make you.!! I could not believe that!! OK, if you don’t like the place that you work at and you’re not putting your full into it then you need to move out because that is not treating a customer right and that is not even making an effort to satisfy the customers.. You know I feel like nowadays we’re just a number out there because in restaurants sometimes you get waiters and waitresses that don’t even care. They just want that tip. Like I’ll bring you your food you just tip me and we’re done $$$ Rustico was one of my faves great great great restaurant!!! but I’m sorry this place has changed to,,i don’t know what!! I’m thinking a lot of the people that used to work there before,,,,,,we’re extremely kind and always wanting to serve their customers,,, you don’t see it anymore at least I don’t!!! It was nice because sometimes they were so kind that they took it up on themselves and said,,,?you know what this is on us!! 🤗 It was just a little gesture from them,, for whatever the occasion was,, it wasn’t all the time, but it sure meant a lot!! 😊 I feel bad that this place is just not what it used to be, but thank you so much and I wish you would take in consideration the kind of waiters or waitresses that you do have that just kind of don’t care.🤔

Very expensive each shot of really small tequila $15 they rip you off on drink r. drink it’s very expensive more then anywhere else in California. 12 inch pizza 2 toppings,1 appetizer 4 shots of tequila 1 old fashion drink and 1 margarita =$161

They have lost a long time customer forever! Highly disappointed in the customer service we received. Stopped by in the early evening and asked about their happy hour. Was told by the hostess that checked with the bartender that it only applied in the bar, which is fine, and we asked if we could sit at the high top "bar" tables that were literally 3 feet from the regular dining tables with our 13 year old for happy hour. She said he could not sit at those tables because they were part of the "bar" even thought they were in the same space as the regular dining room tables. They were also not willing to let us sit at any other table in the completely empty restaurant to enjoy happy hour. We used to come here regularly to enjoy full meals including apps, desserts, and bottles of wine, now we will never come back because their staff is unwelcoming and unwilling to accommodate its regular patrons. It's not about saving a couple of bucks on drinks, they lost much more than that in what we would have spent on our meal alone, not to mention the future business from us and our friends that they will not receive. They need to rethink their happy hour zoning to accommodate their guests that have children like every other reasonable restaurant does.

My recent takeout order on 1/18 was disappointing. Despite several calls, no one came out for curbside pickup for a long time, causing unnecessary delays. Additionally, the bread in my order was burnt and inedible, which was very frustrating.

Ordered curbside and sat there for a while on hold. He hungup on me and after going in, he was rude inside. After I got home, I noticed he gave me a completely burnt piece of bread, I can only assume intentionally. Would not go back.

This was our absolute favorite Italian spot. We have been ordering valentines dinner here every year for four years now. We just had our first baby, so we never get to go out anymore and we’re looking forward to Valentine’s Day dinner. Called today for pickup as always, and this time was told they weren’t taking any to go orders anymore. Woman who answered was short and sounded very rude. After being condescending and rude, she hung up on me when I asked if they would be taking to go orders later in the nights. I’ve never had such a rude person here. What happened to this place ? It completely spoiled our plans and ontop of it to be spoken to that rudely, what a crummy way to handle things on their part.

Rustico’s ambiance is very nice and our sever Bianka, was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food quality and preparation has sorely diminished. The bread was nothing that this Sicilian has ever eaten in Sicily nor in New York’s Sicilian restaurants. I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana. It was undercooked, tastelessly breaded with barely any marinara sauce and totally covered in a bland mozzarella cheese. The side of pasta was overcooked and the sauce was ok but a little on the acidic side. At best, this was akin to school cafeteria food. The redeeming factor of the meal was Rustico’s chocolate cake dessert- utterly sinful! Next time I will go to Carini’s. They are not fancy but have much better food.

Placed an order on DoorDash. My dasher waited for over 30 minutes and then Rustico staff told them that someone else picked up the food. How did they pick up the order if this was my assigned dasher? So you didn’t do your job and check to make sure whose order it was? Then they refused to remake the food for us even though it was not our fault as the customers. Absolutely ridiculous. We will never order from them again if their staff is that rude and unpleasant. The dasher even told us the staff was mean about it. Done with Rustico for good

When the bread is bad at an Italian restaurant, the rest is as you expect. Beef filet was overcooked and tough. The pasta was gummy, the shrimp was undercooked, the potato was over salted and lacked flavor. The Diet Coke was horrendous. Couldn’t finish the meal. On our way to get burgers.

Disappointing…My Daughter wanted to take me to Dinner for my Birthday. We had planed to go to Temecula but the waitlist was 2 hours, so we decided to try Rustico. She called to check on wait times & was told 30 minutes. When she called back to reserve a table 5 minutes later she was told they were no longer taking reservations and the wait time was now 45 minutes, but we could walk in. When we arrived, we were not greeted, there were a lot of open tables and the Busboy was the one who seated us. We ordered Salad, an appetizer & a glass of wine, the wine never arrived, we were told that was because of phone orders. We ordered Pizza, the crust was burnt & very difficult to slice. My Daughter wanted to order dessert, I opted for an espresso martini. 🍸 It was served in a tulip glass and tasted like Baileys, shaken & poured. I didn’t finish it. My Daughter shelled out $140 for Dinner including tip. I didn’t want to complain & embarrass her. Sadly not someplace I would recommend or return to.
