Good food and drinks. Service was a bit slow. Our server was also working as a bartender so his attention was divided. He was very nice but seemed stretched too far.

Raphael will pour you your favorite beverage to perfection. And if Raphael is away Mia is on the spot! Chilean sea bass was delicious and I have to say food is always hot and brought out before you know it. Salads are crisp. Soups are hot. Oh dessert shared of a rich chocolate something was divine. This was a busy Saturday night but they are consistently excellent Great date night with friends. Also love their apps and fun times with Glenda in the casual bar area. As the saying goes you get whet you pay for and will always leave you wanting to come back soon!

OMG! Juniper has some of the most flavorful food in Murraysville! I don't know if it's the in-house smoker or if it's the way the chef seasons the dishes, but lunch was exquisite! The filet with onions & gorgonzola was superb! Usually, horseradish causes me to cough & wince, but this was seasoned perfectly and I could actually enjoy some beef with horseradish on it, for a change. Highly recommend the juniper house salad with creamy bacon dressing! Tasted clean, with just enough sweetness & acidity, and was refreshing on a hot day. The mango paleta for dessert was a great finish! Service was top-notch and friendly without being in your face. Don't pass this place up!

Been there many times. Never a bad time, or problem. Great food so far... 7/30- another great dinner raspberry Benelli for intro, then grilled mahi sandwich - coleslaw - yummy!

OMG the smoked brisket n ribs is freaking great (delicious smoke taste). Good chix enchiladas n street corn. (Please dont use frozen corn). You MUST get the cornbread Waitress, Glenda, absolutely excellent. Will be back.

The service here was excellent. My food was delicious. The brisket was incredible tender and tasty. My ahi tuna was very good! Had a little nicer chilli’s vibe.

Juniper Grill is a delicious & great experience! I frequent this restaurant often. I'm never disappointed. They cater to my specialty diet as needed, and the beverages are always tasty - especially the adult libations are even better! I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. In addition, the staff is always kind, considerate, and pleasant. On my most recent visit, our server, Charlotte, was exceptional! I would highly recommend getting a meal here anytime you want. You will want to return for more!

Nice variety to their menu. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Only negative is the french fries were not crispy. I had tri-tip chili, cornbread, smokehouse platter (brisket was lean), key lime pie and a peach sangria.

Amazing from the time we walked in til we left. High class and wonderful food and drink. Seafood enchiladas on the main menu and peach bbq pulled pork sandwich with ratatouille on their seasonal menu was awesome. Must come back!

Absolutely delicious! The brisket queso was enough to award a 5-star rating. It had layers of flavor as well as texture that made each bite unique. All of the smoked meats paired very well with the BBQ sauce and almost melted in my mouth. The courses were delivered in a timely manner. For a first impression, the Juniper Grill did quite well. I recommend stopping in and giving it a try. I know I will be back.

Great place to eat with a very impressive bar! Food here was excellent. I had the brisket sandwich which was piled high with tender meat. Absolutely delicious, and reasonably priced. Our server was friendly and attentive despite being busy. We will definitely return.

My wife and i stopped in for dinner . I had the Wood Grilled Chicken Romain (amazing) and my wife had the Campfire Chicken. Both were very good and flavorful. Service and atmosphere were also very good . I highly recommend stopping if your in the area .

Food is excellent here. Alot of high quality selection and a wide variety of flavors. This was my second time in and will visit again. The staff is friendly.

Carrie was our bartender when we stopped here for dinner. She was so great, really professional, and makes delicious drinks! She also clued us in to some sights to see while we are in Pittsburgh, and that was really helpful. (Thank you!) For dinner I had pork enchiladas and he had Cesar salad with grilled salmon. The food presentation was so pretty! Everything tasted amazing. Service was attentive and fast and great attitudes all around. The environment of this establishment is cozy and comfortable and everything was clean including the rest rooms. When in the Pittsburgh area again I will definitely want to come here again.

The atmosphere is lovely and the food never disappoints. I always like to try there seasonal items. I got the honey chipotle shrimp tacos and a cup of the rotisserie chicken tortilla soup! Amazing!

For Father’s Day, Juniper Grill was chosen for its reputation of quality food, service, convenient location on Rt. 22, and its outdoor dining. Our party of four no longer have fathers but wanted to meet on such an occasion to commemorate the lives of our fathers and all others. The choice of appetizers, bowl entrees, soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts and drinks are plentiful, something for everyone whether vegan or otherwise. Melissa, our waitress, and the other staff members that interacted with us were professional, exceptional, accommodating, thoughtful, courteous, helpful, attentive, respectful, gracious, kind, and caring. All of them are so attentive to making sure that we were receiving good service outdoors. The food was great, well prepared and presented. Our sincere thanks and gratitude to our waitress Melissa and the other professional staff members at Juniper Grill. Our party is looking forward to returning to Juniper Grill in the near future.

This place is very good. And the price is 🤩 perfect but that’s my opinion. And I think one of the waiters here is named Ron. He gave us amazing service and he is a really funny guy. He is the best waiter here and will come back to eat or just to talk to him. 🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩🤩🤩🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🤩🤩🤩🤤🤤🤤🤤😝😝😝😝 I love this place and other people might disagree, but I don’t. Thank you Ron for being our server or waiter. This is Matt’s daughter, Bella.

This was a first. And we were not disappointed! Ordered the fish tacos and my husband ordered the crab enchiladas. The service was great. No recommendations at this time! Thanks!

Excellent service and food. Crab cakes were perfect. Server was wonderful. Great bartender who was versed on making delicious drinks. Only call out at dessert time coffee was served cold and sent it back.

Best food. Best bartenders. Best management in East suburbs. We go at least once a week and have never been disappointed.

Always a good meal with great service. Everything on the menu is fabulous! The chicken and brisket are so good! You won’t be disappointed!

I attended a business meeting that was held in the private dining area. The service and food were top notch and the atmosphere of the entire place was upscale and classy yet very comfortable and welcoming. I would highly recommend Juniper Grill.

The brisket was fantastic, the ribs however, below average. I got the smokehouse platter if it wasn't for the ribs I would have given them 5 stars across the board.

Went in for a family dinner, experience was great. Our waitress Karissa was attentive, and made sure to check on us consistently even as the restaurant became busy. Would highly recommend for a new spot to try if you have never been.

Juniper Grill continues to be one of the most reliable dining spots in the region, and their rotisserie chicken is the star of the show. It’s slow‑roasted to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor without ever feeling heavy. The seasoning hits that ideal balance of savory and smoky, and the portion size makes it feel like a genuinely satisfying entrée rather than an afterthought. What really sets Juniper Grill apart, though, is how friendly it is for gluten‑free diners. Their menu is clearly marked, the staff is knowledgeable, and there are far more GF options than you’d expect from a modern American restaurant. From appetizers to entrées, you never feel boxed into one or two “safe” choices.

This was my first time here. I was impressed! My salmon was cooked perfectly to medium and the creamy bacon dressing was out of this world! Many gluten free options available. Our waitress was great too. I will definitely be back!

Top notch dining! Regular menu and seasonal specialties offer something for everyone. Sea Bass is my fave, but a little pricey in the mid $30s. Pot Roast is always moist, not very fatty, and comes apart with fork. Usually have weekly specials, like a soup or app that isn't on regular menu... These have always been delicious. Service has never been a problem. The staff is fantastic. Highly recommended.

My first visit here was on January 17th at 5:30. I'm glad we came early because when we left there was a line out the door! Our server Madison was excellent. The gluten-free corn chips with our 3 dip starter were delicious and the guacamole was the best I've ever had 👌. Our mains were perfect, short rib, salmon and crab cakes. Portions just right 👍 I prefer normal sized portions, though one friend took some crab cakes home because she filled up on the delicious cornbread and Caesar salad first 😋 I would definitely recommend this restaurant

Arguably the best restaurant I've eaten at in this area. I think a lot of locals think much too highly of themselves as to why this place deserves any less than 5 stars. Food was better than I would have expected for a chain restaurant, the servers were absolutely going above and beyond to make the place feel like a fine dining establishment. Had to question myself if we needed reservations

D
Daniel Evans

The wait time was very little and the staff was very courteous. The plaza is always crowded but never a problem for parking or getting in or out. The food was super delicious and our server was super nice. The menu is not really huge but enough to cover any options you'd like. They're staple is basically barbecue servings.

My experience was a carry-out, but the food and staff are exceptional—fantastic Brisket quesadilla and Avocado chicken salad. The staff is well-trained and very professional. 👍🏼

Loud, thriving, and packed with life! Everything we ate and drank is very worthy of praise. There are some seasonal items for additional variety. I am very glad a friend suggested here for pur dinner, very worth checking out :)

My wife and I went for our 47th anniversary, this was our second visit. The first one was about 2 years ago. Both experiences were GREAT, the food was excellent as was the service. Our server, Jordan, was very attentive and efficient. We will be going back in the future.

Non-alcoholic drinks: - Pepsi products (no Mr pipp) - Raspberry tea - Lemonade - Coffee - Hot tea - Water They did not advertise thier drinks on their menu nor website not mobile ordering. My kids were disappointed. Yes, our waitress eventually came over and told us, but that's not the point. Anywho.... Service was slow. The food was tasty. We ordered alot of food all at once. We stopped in for a quick meal before heading to the airport, took longer than we wanted and felt "out of time" to get to the airport.

Had lunch with a friend, walked in (it was early 11am) and not busy. Very nice atmosphere and seating. The menu has a good range of choices, my friend had the tacos (2) and was going to eat one but they were too good. I had a chix salad with avocado, nice mix of greens and additions. The lettuce was fresh and the chicken was cooked very well. Note they did not drown the salad in dressing which is way too common these days. one mimosa and food $25 ea +10. we spent an hour and a half. certainly recommend.

Food was delicious. Service was even better. Our server, Cameron I believe, was exceptional. From her overall friendly demeanor to her knowledge of the menu and suggestions with ordering. We will definitely return. Reservations are recommended. The only negative is the space. Tables are small, and space is tight, but it is a "plaza" restaurant, so not a deal breaker.

K
Kristin Sofran

Great atmosphere and service. The menu leans towards So-Cal/Mexican inspired (which is not my preference) but I was able to find a very tasty sandwich and a delicious salad. The fries were a bit salty for my liking. Overall it was a good meal and I look forward to going back and trying something different.

The wait time was short, the place seemed nice walking in, but we were seated in what felt like a enclosed porch, it was cold enough other patrons all wore their jackets while dining. The portions were fair, the food was as expected.

I ordered a Ahi Tuna Salad and a Cabernet. The salad very cold and plate was cold as though it had been in a refrigerator. Lettuce wasn’t fresh. Tuna was good and sauce on Tuna was good. I don’t think this was best way to serve this salad. Cold plate, limp lettuce could have been better. Cabernet was good. I expected more.

My boyfriend and I come here for dates every couple months. We love the food, the atmosphere, and the workers. I typically order the same thing every time (cesar salad and chicken tortilla soup) because I absolutely LOVE both. But not this time. We came on a random Tuesday and it was packed. No big deal. Food did take a while, but that is expected for how busy it was. My boyfriend's food was great and he had no complaints. But my salad had rock hard croutons that I couldn't even bite into, waxy slices of parmesan cheese, hardly any dressing, and the greens were very dry and stale tasting (although, it looked fine). I was disappointed but didn't mind since I had soup on the way. Well, that was a disappointment too. There was no meat in it at all. Maybe a little bit of crumbs, but literally no chunks of meat. There were TWO broken pieces of tortilla chips in it, that was it. I basically ate broth for dinner.. and it was not cheap!! The soup and salad together were $16, plus $45 for my boyfriends meal, plus tip. We spent $80 for me to not even eat anything. I have food allergies, so my options are limited for what I can order, or I may have ordered something else if there was time. But they were getting ready to close. We were there for maybe 1.5-2 hours because of how long it took to get our food. It took FOREVER to even get our order placed and to get our drinks. I don't blame the waitress or staff, I get it. But it is just disappointing that I barely got to eat what I ordered, and couldn't order something else. We make a point to come here for special occasions because we can't afford to eat there all the time. To us, it's a high-end, classy restaurant that we dress up for and look forward to. Hopefully the next experience isn't like this one.

The staff are incredible, welcoming and very kind. The restaurant is beautiful. As for the food, the salads, sides and cornbread were excellent, but the entrees were not very good at all. The BBQ Platter was really shocking compared to the sides ordered. Slow smoked Baby Back ribs were overcooked and zero smoke taste. Faint taste of a rub then brushed with a bbq sauce that tasted like it was from a grocery store. And a tiny sliver of a chicken breast that was either reheated or highly overcooked with the same BBQ sauce. Would never order outside of the salad and sides menu again. Those were the dishes that were very quality.

Bartenders need to go back to hospitality school. First, over 1/2 of the seats at bar had reserved signs. We arrived at 4:30 & watched as many good paying customers were turned away & left because of these 6 pm reserved seats. I have never been to a “upscale restaurant/bar” that reserves seats at the bar. Second, we were not offered water with our drinks. This may not be standard practice but in my opinion it is a nice touch. Third, we were not offered food menus even after being there 30+ minutes. Fourth, no one smiles or makes you feel welcomed. The bartenders clearly cater to people they know by standing there talking with them & jumping at their every request. We set our 4 drinks at the edge of the bar to signify we would like another order, the bartender Tony looked directly at us twice & never came down to ask us if we wanted to reorder. And to be clear, he was drying glasses as he conversed with a couple at the bar. I have been to this location 5-6 times with the same experience. I will no longer go to this establishment & will not recommend it to anyone. If the owners want this place to be considered a bit more “upscale” and friendly to ALL CUSTOMERS, take some tips from the bar staff at Eddie V’s & Hyde Park.

J
Julie Porta

Unfortunately, the same bartender was there to ignore us as my friends and I came for holiday drinks and apps. As on our other experiences at the bar, he did not greet us and attended to the same 2 or 3 spots at the bar most of the night, never scanning to see if anyone needed service. He came close to our drinks lined up at the edge to reorder, looked at them and walked away. After 15 or so minutes, we got the attention of the other bartender. I felt as if I were inconveniencing them. We tried to order food to go, and Tony said 'alright' and walked away. Also, there were only 2 adjacent seats the whole way around the bar due to reserved signs. There were 4 of us. I am so disappointed in the lack of professionalism and sub-par service. I will not be able to recommend this bar anymore.

M
M Kasper

"Slow roasted short rib" dinner misses the mark! The meat was a 2.5 inch piece of Chuck roast (not a short rib). Beef short ribs are delicious. The meat served for my entree was flavorless and stringy...not even a good cooked slow roasted piece of Chuck. Very disappointing Juniper. Sides were delicious as always but very disappointed with main course. Nothing offered to make it right when I questioned why I wasn't served short rib.

J

Bad service. We went in for lunch, and our server was not great. She handed us the menu and immediately asked if we were ready to order. When we said we needed more time, she acted as if it were a huge inconvenience and purposely took a long time to come back. When she finally returned, she asked with an attitude, “Was that enough time?”I still tried to be nice after that since I only have a short time for Lunch. We placed our order, and while the salad came quickly, the rest of the food took forever. This was supposed to be a quick lunch—we had to get back to work—but everything dragged on.and we didn’t get much attention during the waiting time when the bill came, we were double charged for an entrée. It took forever to get her attention, and when we pointed it out, she gave no apology. Food are good but not good enough to overcome the service. Overall, bad experience. We will not be coming back.We rather spend our money at somewhere that would treat us nicer.

I visited this place on 10/19 in the afternoon with my significant other. Based on the reviews online it seemed like the food & atmosphere is great, & they had tv by the bar which was a plus for us because we regularly watch football on Sunday's. Our original bartender was nice we ordered drinks. Mind you I'm from Indiana and my boyfriend is from Texas. I came down to PA to visit my S/O since he's down here for work. Shortly after we placed our order of drinks the manager came and asked to double check our ID's which was fine by me I figured since we're not from here. The manager kept asking us questions as if we're at the airport, like "why are we down here" and "what we're doing down here" "reason for visit". After he gave us back our ID's I get on the phone to call my sister, he asked me what was wrong and I said nothing. Immediately after he says I wont get served drinks for absolutely no reason. 0/10 if you're a person of color & traveling from out of town. I would not recommend going in here. I'm sure the food was great but the manager was coming off extremely racist...
