This Fix-U-Plate delivers the experience its name promises. Their staff attention matches their outstanding cooking. The taste was worth savoring with eyes closed as it melted away. Food has great quality, fresh ingredients and not to mention is fairly priced. I'd love to return to try different dishes.

Honestly, if I'd known of this location, I'd come here ALL THE TIME and not go to the one that was in Canarsie (which is now closed). I never had a good experience there. Worker is ultra rude. But hereeeeee, oh! A welcoming smile, gracious service, kind words and excellent service.... I love 😍. The food is great and a selection of natural drinks are available. Parking is hell but double park and make it quick. Worth it.

My wife and I went there for the first time and we enjoyed the food and customer service. The gentleman at the front answered all my questions patiently, offered me a sample of some food and the cashier was friendly. Also the food was amazing. None of the food we tried was dry or old. The beef ribs were worth the price; tender and tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant

One of my co workers recommended this plate, I was pleasantly shocked, it is buffer style west Indian food. Everything looked so good. I took rice and peas, jerk chicken, plantains and mac and cheese. The rice melted in my mouth so good. Jerk was seasoned to perfection. It was really tasty and good. My new favorite place to eat by my job.

This place is a good place for a nice island breakfast in the morning. Are you hungry? Get there early. The food is fresh and definitely flavorful. I recommend the breakfast. Because I'm there anytime I get a cheat meal to indulge in some boil dumplings, callaloo, with a little saltfish, boil banana, and some sweet potato. Also, don't forget a bit of breadfruit. Soooo delicious. Make sure you wash your hands and be off your cellphone. Hygiene is number one walking in the door. The food goes by weight. So, depending on how much food you get is the price. You have several different cooked grains to choose from (Spinach rice... 😊) which I was especially happy to see. Only issue that I had was my co-worker took the wrong platter.

With that being said I can’t speak on all the food but I got the fried dumplings and festival and It was sweet and unappetizing. I also got some greens which was very greasy and had no taste. I may go back to try something else.

But it's kind of hard because people are continuously moving back and forth over the food. They have a rule where you cannot talk on your cell phone while you are serving your own plate which is a good rule to put into effect. However although we're trying to keep sanitary conditions you don't want your customers to speak on their phones while serving their plates but you'll have your staff members Supply more foods to the tray in the hot plate or hot stand without a net covering their head. Or they will place food into the dishes without a plastic glove holding the utensil while they place the food inside of the pans at the hot Buffet. I don't understand it so which one carries the most germs if this is what we're looking to make sure we have less of the person who's talking on the phone or the worker who's not covering his or her hair and hands? Customer service here with the cashiers is always great always a smile. The location is easy to get to by train or car. They seem to always fit these fix-u-plate in the area where the majority of the people on Caribbeans. Now a lot of food served here or from the Caribbean background but that does not mean that it would not be just as successful in the neighborhood that is less Caribbeans. After all who doesn't know about jerk chicken, escovitch fish, peas and rice, by me if you been to Jamaica as a person who's not from the Caribbean or the Bahamas or Trinidad or Grenada or Barbados or if you have a nanny who is from one of these islands you know all about this Cuisine so why not Branch out into another neighborhood let everyone else taste the good cooking that fix u plate is known for.

1st. I loved fix-u-plate. If the owner sees this and fixes the issue I will remove this review. The food used to be GREAT. Lately the food sucks. If the cook changed; get him back. The oxtail taste like beef, the plantains are always hard. Please fix it!
