Stopped in for some appetizers before our dinner, great food and friendly staff! We ordered the butternut squash soup and the beef tartar. Both were very good, the beef tar tar was fresh and well seasoned, nice wine selection, bread was delicious also. More beer on tap would have been nice but we had a great experience!
Tasty food, great service and amazing view!!
Stopped by for a quick morning breakfast, food was great and fast! Excellent service, the Avacado toast with an egg was delicious.
I ordered the Spring Cobb and a side of Mac n cheese and it was all delish. The salad was a Cobb with a twist and had a fabulous flavor and texture profile. The Mac n cheese was some of the best gourmet Mac I’ve ever tasted.
Braydin was an excellent server, he waited on us at the Santa brunch and made our day so special. He keeped the drinks flowing and helped us have the merriest of Christmas’. Thanks Braydin!
Hotel food done RIGHT!!! So impressed with this gem.
Really lovely thanksgiving dinner. Vanessa was a delight to have waited on us
Well prepared food, friendly staff in a comfortable setting. Highly recommend.
We had a very nice Thursday night dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the food was top quality. They just introduced a new menu so we tried some new items. The duck confit and filet were both excellent and paired well with William Hill cabernet. Ceasar salad as a starter was very fresh and we finished with a marscapone cheese cake. There are some mixed reviews of this restaurant, but based on our experience any issues have been corrected and you can ignore those reviews.
Beautiful day. Sat outside with our 2 and 5 year old grandchildren. Turned on the heater for us just a little chilly. Courtney was very attentive. Food was really good- burgers and Turkey club. Buttered noodles and chicken tenders. Lovely day. Need to work on desserts please. Cold pudding not for me. Warm donuts a yesss!
Kristen is fantastic! We sat at The Grill on our first day and the food, atmosphere, and our server Kristen were phenomenal. Highly recommend this beautiful place!
The Grill, at the Silverado Resort is great!! The breakfast was a perfect, especially before going to a winery. Our server, Brenda, was great as well. Very attentive.
I had lunch with a friend, who is a member, in the member dining room. The lunch was delicious, and the service was very attentive. It was a beautiful day, which made for great views and a peaceful stroll afterward.
Braydin S was amazing. He ensured we had a lovely breakfast and made sure our juice cups were always full! He was fantastic
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the cuisine the grill had to offer even though the restaurant was busy the service was amazing thanks to Cameron our food was perfect
Salads were delightful. Lettuce was crisp and fresh as were the other ingredients. Salad dressing was light and delicious. Service was attentive but did make you feel rushed.
We were in Napa, CA for a wedding and stayed at the Silverado Resort. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived hungry to the resort at 8:55. Although The Grill closed at 9:00, they still seated us. The asparagus soup and caesar salad we had were SO tasty, and the meal was a positive end to a VERY long day!! Thank you, The Grill!! 😁
Impeccable service!! I came here last night for restaurant week, and I had come from another restaurant whose poor service manners drove me away from spending a penny there. Upon entering, one of the two bartenders acknowledged me and directed me to the host station. The host was very sweet and hospitable, gave me options to choose where to sit as it was not too busy. My server Cameron was so professional and attentive, I am very grateful for how well he treated me as a customer. The chefs in the kitchen have really done a brilliant job with the flavors of their dishes for restaurant week. The Roasted Pear Panzanella was so good, it took me 30 minutes almost to eat because I had to savor every bite. The sweetness of the candied hazelnut, the tart flavor from the sherry vinaigrette, the creaminess of the Humboldt Fog cheese: Divine. My main course of the chicken with baby artichoke on a bed of polenta? Beyond words. The chicken melted off the bone like butter, the polenta was exploding with flavor. I was disappointed to hear the dessert that made come here in the first place was out (I love a good carrot cake), but I chose the Raspberry Chocolate Torte as a replacement and I can say it was probably better than my expectations were for the carrot cake. The best part, they have a wonderful sunrise mocktail (I do not drink) so I was able to order a non-alcoholic beverage without feeling like I'm missing out. I cannot rave enough about how exquisite this experience was, thank you so much for an amazing dining experience
Food was delicious! Chef Saul’s lamb chops were delicious and cooked to perfection. We appreciate him humbly coming out to speak with us. The entire staff was amazing as they remained welcoming even as the restaurant closed.
After a day of wine tasting for my moms birthday, we ended with a really nice dinner. The Grill at Silverado was elegant without being gaudy. The service was excellent. We didn't order drinks due to how we had spent the day, but food wise there was a variety at our table. The Calamari was very good according to my daughter who ate the whole dish. My wife and son both got steaks and both said they were among the best they'd ever had which means I really need to "up my game" at home. My mom got a crab cake that she said was wonderful and both my dad and I got burgers because we felt like it. Surprisingly I've had two excellent burgers this week and the one at the grill was definitely superior. We all enjoyed our meals as well as the environment. I highly recommend this restaurant. Make sure to get a reservation.
Kristen was super friendly and chipper, especially for first thing in the morning, the eggs Benedict was delicious, as were the "marbled potatoes" in a chive butter. Clean plate club for sure!
I have very high standards and dined with a friend that owns a high end steakhouse. We were both very impressed with the food l, service, and ambiance. One of the best dining experiences I have had in many years.
Kristine C was a great!! Has great taste! Kept checking on us to make sure everything was going well and so welcoming and easy to talk to. Loved her. Would request her next time we are here.
The food was absolutely delicious — both the honeynut squash soup and the portabella mushroom napoleon were beautifully done and full of flavor. That said, the portions were quite small for the price, and we were still a bit hungry afterward. Not a complaint about the quality at all, just something to keep in mind when ordering.
I had a short dinner and a long lunch at this restaurant. The service here is very attentive and wonderful. I sat at the bar at dinner and the service was quick and friendly. The food is good but not so great for the price. Same with the lunch. The vegan burger I got wasn't good, bit chewy and didn't taste good. Overall the food here is average, especially the vegetarian food I tasted. The restaurant itself is in a beautiful setting that you can enjoy if you go here for lunch.
The food was as good as the presentation. Our waiter Gustavo was very attentive to our needs. My only complaint is that we were told they had no heaters for outside seating.
The Grill at Silverado was absolutely beautiful! My family and I enjoyed a very delicious breakfast. Customer service was wonderful.
The food was very good, the service was great, and the atmosphere was pretty good. A very solid place to eat for being at the resort!
Great Food and Atmosphere, Limited Bourbon Selection I recently dined here and found the experience quite enjoyable. The food, particularly the prime ribeye, was cooked to perfection. The bartender was fantastic, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. My only critique is the limited selection of bourbon. Nonetheless, it's a great spot for a relaxing and quiet dinner. Highly recommended for a laid-back evening.
Great ambiance always enhances the food experience, however, the meal did not keep in step. I like a hot meal, especially steak. The steak was lukewarm at best.
Fantastic meals and great environment for family and couples. Jordan our server was excellent and made great food suggestions. Definitely worth the time
I sat at the bar and tried a pear martini. Absolutely delicious. I paired the pear martini with the pear salad. Very fresh and great vinegarette dressing. I will go back to try other things on the menu. Good service
Really hard to rate this place because there is no consistency in food. We visited this place 3 times, in 2 of those I ordered blueberry pancakes. First one was delicious, the second time it was hard to eat: it had either too much baking soda or the batter was too old. Avocado toast also tasted fishy, though there wasn't supposed to be any fish. Salmon on potato waffle was great, but I had tried it only once. Risotto and short ribs were just ok as well.
Super busy, fun spot..especially during golf or other events. Had a burger from the overwhelmed bar, which was basically a burger tartare and at most, saw about 3 seconds of heat as it passed from the burger stash in the fridge, to a hand that placed it in between the buns. The only logical explanation for this was that the hand placing it into the bun belonged to someone with red color blindness. Having said that, the initial bite or two that were taken before we noticed, were dang tasty. I'm happy to report that nobody was sick following any part of that experience, so, I applaud the meat handling, sourcing and sanitization portion of the back of the house experience. I take issue with either the bar tender who placed the order or the color blind kitchen staff who didn't use a thermometer to double check that the order was to medium specification, and to ensure a medium burger was delivered. Not wanting to be any later to the show or to deal with the bar crowd just to address the concern with the burger, we opted to treat our potential condition with any parasites or bacteria in the old fashioned way, through copious amounts of alcohol.
The omelets were so good and the orange juice was delicious. I was disappointed by the French toast
Food was good but the host and waiter looked like they would rather be somewhere else. The host was a tad disrespectful that is until actual club members showed up. If you want to feel small and insignificant then by all means go here.
7/11/18 Father's Day morning my girlfriends and I decided on one final bonding moment before leaving the Silverado Resort to go our different ways home. We stopped in The Grill to have a Bloody Mary at the bar, and were tempted to stay for the delicious buffet next to us, but really just wanted to get on the roads to our homes, husbands, and fathers. Perhaps Courtney was mad we were at her table and not ordering food? We ordered our drinks, and a few waters as well. Noticing that my water glass was caked with dried crusty something on the inside (perhaps old strawberry daiquiri or something similar?) I brought it to the bar and asked if I could have a clean glass. She literally said nothing to me. She took the glass and brought another one to the table. No apology: "I'm so sorry about that" or "let me get you a fresh glass, just a moment". NOTHING. It wasn't a little bit of disgusting old drink, it was a lot. I wasn't being an overly needy customer, this glass was filthy and she served me water in it. I don't know whose job it is to clean the dishes, but I do know whose job it is to serve drinks in them politely, and someone wasn't doing her job that day. Kind of sad to end such an amazing weekend on that note since service everywhere else had been great for the previous 48 hours, but we finished our Bloody Marys (and my fresh glass of water) and hit the road.
The place is beautiful, but the service is was bad. They said they were “understaff” I had so much hopes for this place that I didn’t care about the bad reviews I read. So, do pay attention to those reviews…food was okay… but salads and breakfast options don’t look like the photos on their webpage. Service was so slow and they didn’t acknowledge my party of 8 until I said if we could get service…yup that bad!! I was so disappointed and will never eat here again. ~$350 for a bad service! That hurt very much!! Giving two start for the place and the lunch menu.
So disappointing, menu sounded tasty, started with ceaser which was nice. Husband had ribeye, could barely find the mushrooms, borderline sauce was watery and tasteless, the fingerling potatoes were actually not they were marble potatoes. Meh. My pork chop was underseasoned and tasteless, they forgot the walnuts and fruit which is the only thing that saved the dish. Subbed for cauliflower puree and it was bitter and watery, pretty sure it wasn't cauliflower. Dining room was empty, maybe word has gotten out. We won't b back.
Not worth eating here when there are so many other options in downtown Napa. Menu is overpriced, not really that good, and staff is slow. Ordered the calamari which was 16 bucks and had the same taste and texture as a friend rubber band. Not worth it unless you do not want to go outside the resort.
We were given gift certificates for Christmas 2024 that were purchased through Silverado. We were excited to have lunch and enjoy the beautiful view. First of all we were the only ones there and instead of seating us by the view with the big window we were seated by the kitchen. Then when we went to pay with our gift cards we were first told they were expired. Which they were not but that would not be legal in CA when they were bought with money. After a lengthy discussion and a couple people involved finally the larger one $300 was accepted but they would not take the 3 $20 ones. So beware if you have gift certificates they are not happy to accept them and made it very difficult!! Such a disappointment. It made the whole experience a bad one.
Went there for dinner our first night at the resort: Food was great but service not do much. We had a reservation but they seemed surprised that a group of 6 showed up and had to make a table ready for us. We also had to ask whether they had a kids menu and had to ask for the wine menu. For the price, we expected a better service. Went for breakfast on our last day at the resort: Same thing. Food was generally good but service even worse. They gave me the wrong food and forgot the Rice Krispies cereals for the kids. Our waitress was not in sight so took a while to ask for the right food and the cereals. At least they did charge us for my food or the cereals for the kids. Would not visit again.
John was fine overall. However, he attempted to get us to order dessert after we had already eaten and finished our dessert. In addition, he mentioned it would take longer if something was wrong with my food. I ordered medium rare and it was over cooked. Lastly, I had to walk over to John, who was next to the possible manager on duty, to get our check processed and go home.
With so many great dining experiences available in Napa Valley, it’s just not fair to do food poorly. My steak frites was obscenely over priced (higher than the filet) and was smothered with a disgusting spicy orange sauce, and the fries clearly had been frozen and thrown in a deep fryer. I’m not sure how you mess up fries, but they were inedible. When done with dinner, we waited 15 minutes for our waiter to come by, after asking another waitress twice that we’d like our check. We also got the spring vegetables to start- very strange plating. DO NOT COME HERE.
Staying at the Silvarado Country Club. Decided to eat dinner at The Grill. Didn't have a reservation, so the maitre d said he could only seat us in the bar, even though there were ten available tables. He said others had reservations. By the time we left more tables became available. This is rude and horrible service. Food was not freshly cooked. I do not recommend.
We were told that the menu for Mothers Day would be brunch at 12.00 noon. We've had reservations for 6 weeks. When we arrive, the menu is lunch, not brunch. Very different. It was even hard to get someone at the Grill to give us details. I called 12 times over 4 weeks. Very lousy.
Worst! Had a reservation, didn't get seated until 20 min after our reservation time. Ordered our food and didn't get served anything including drinks an hour later. We ended up leaving without eating anything. The managers were both standing around taking without even checking up on us or helping their staff. Horrible service. We wasted over an hour of our morning.
I had ordered some ribs and they came with a bunch of nasty crap all over them a good diner With crap do not like When I order ribs I don't like decorative Junk on them! I won't eat here again NASTY!
We ordered to go at 8:00 pm Thursday June 6th. The order was for a Cheeseburger and Caesar Salad. The service was fast and the lady at the front was very nice. We ate immediately after picking up the order, in our condo we rented, as we were staying at the Silverado Resort. However the food was horrible. The worst burger ever, the fries were probably sitting for a while before being served. The Caesar was a few romaine leaves, croutons, and grana padano. The boquerones I’m sure was what made me sick, or it was the dressing. I picked off the boquerones, but the residue was still there. One of the two, either one. I was violently ill within a few hours, for the next day, better about the second day after. I had to miss our granddaughter’s graduation, the day after in St. Helena, I was so sick. If you eat at The Grill, good luck and fair warning.
Suspiciously fast service (microwaved) - meal arrived around 4 minutes after ordering. There’s just no way it could have been cooked fresh in that time. Food was expensive, but didn’t mind paying the price if it was good. Unfortunately, it was not. Both our meals were bland, bland, bland. They had zero seasoning or flavour, just overpowered with garlic. Such a shame as the rest of the resort is lovely, but we will have to look elsewhere to eat for the rest of our stay.
