Staff were super helpful & nice. Took our 15 yo son there to kill some time & he enjoyed it too! Good beer selection. Clean & great playlist
My sister and I are from Alabama and she wanted to come here for her birthday. We had an amazing First timeexperience. It was very, very fun and the next time we’re in the Nashville area we will come back by for another enjoyable experience
This place was awesome. The staff were super friendly and helpful and made it a great experience. Had never thrown axes before and they provided the perfect level of instructions without being overbearing. The chicken tenders were the juiciest and tenderest.
We signed our wavier and the fun began. Thom and staff showed us how to throw the axe properly and how to adjust our distance from the board. Two handed was how we all started and all but myself continued this style for the duration. I really loved throwing one handed. We had some great drinks but didn’t try any food. If you’re looking for something different to do when visiting Nashville I highly recommend Bad Axe. Great facility and a wonderful staff. Thanks again!
Had a great, fun, outside the box experience here with my adult daughter yesterday. Mia took great care of us, even though we needed remedial training at times. The experience was a bit pricey for my taste, but I was excited to learn that they are veteran owned and give 15% discounts to veterans. The food and beer prices were pretty reasonable for a Nashville entertainment option as well. Overall a very fun time! Very glad we went. 😀
Such a fun experience! We went on a Thursday night and were able to walk in and start throwing axes right away. They gave a quick tutorial which was definitely helpful and then let us get going. I believe it was about $30/person to participate. The food was great and not too expensive (As a local, I was expecting crazy prices since I know this is a big attraction for the bachelor/bachelorette parties— and for the record I totally understand why!). Enjoyed the overall experience and will definitely be back. Had so much fun and would love to bring visiting family and friends back!
What a blast! Threw myself a 2 hour party for 6 family members. We had the best time. Steven was so helpful with instructions. We had tasty snacks and drinks too. Nice, friendly fun place and I'm a fan of veteran owned businesses.
Cool vibe, great experience. Most of the staff were cool. One dude got an attitude and kinda tossed my change on the counter when I told him that I wanted my $4 in change back on a *merchandise only* purchase (I definitely would've tipped if it was a service transaction, which this was not). However, that one guy does not negate my entire experience. The rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful ☺️ and the food was surprisingly good!! Axe throwing is so much fun and actually really safe with how they have it set up: each lane has two targets (in the Paul Bunyan Room; I think I saw one outside on the patio with three, but I don't know about the other indoor room); each lane is divided with a chainlink-type wall, and the floor on the range itself is a bit spongey so that it absorbs the shock and the axe has less of a chance to go flying and hurt someone or do damage otherwise; they also require close-toed shoes on the range). I definitely want to come back, and am definitely going to recommend it to my friends and coworkers for future events! Thanks for a fun night.
Our first experience and had an absolute blast. Our guide was knowledgeable . He didn’t show us the ropes and disappear. He came back several times to check on us and give us tips and tricks.
We had a little lunchtime get away with a group from the office. We had a blast. It’s amazing how fast two hours goes by when your throwing axes. We had a few appetizers and drinks. Our axe throwing instructor and beverage server was excellent. Good times were had by all. We will be back.
Great experience here! Cool atmosphere. Super fast service. Excellent food. Good beer. The axe throwing is tons of fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
This place is amazing! I went for my birthday and had always wanted to try axe throwing. Well let me tell you for an old lady I had the time of my life! Dylan was our “guide” he’s so cool and really had us throwing them! Food and red ale beer was superb! Try this place, you won’t be disappointed!
Hi!!!! I’ve lived in Nashville since I was 2, and I’m always on the hunt for exciting new places to explore. My boyfriend planned a surprise date today, and after our adventure, we decided to check out somewhere new. That’s how we stumbled across Bad Axe. At first, we weren’t sure about throwing axes, but we decided to give it a shot, and I’m so glad we did! We went during the day, so it wasn’t too crowded, but it was still such an incredible experience. And honestly, the highlight of our time there was Kyle. He was our server and instructor, and let me tell you,he is an absolute rockstar! From the moment we met him, he made us feel so comfortable and welcome. He patiently taught us how to throw, explained all the rules, and even introduced us to a bunch of fun games to keep things interesting. I’m a super chatty and personable person, and I love striking up conversations wherever I go. Usually, in Nashville, servers don’t really engage much, but Kyle was different. Not only did he keep the conversation going, but he also genuinely connected with us. He was so kind, attentive, and warm, it’s people like him who make Nashville feel like home all over again. If you’re thinking about trying Bad Axe, stop thinking and just GO! It’s such a fun and unique experience, and if you’re lucky enough to have Kyle as your server, your day will be made. Make sure to tip him big, he absolutely deserves it. Kyle, if you’re reading this, thank you for being so amazing!
First time here and did not expect to have so much fun. We came during a week day around 2pm and it was not crowded at all. The staff teaches you how to throw, how to hold the axe, and how to have fun. A lot easier than expected and it was a great experience. If you are new to this, skeptical, or whatever issue…just go with your significant other or grab a group of family/friends and just go! You will not regret it.
10/10 experience. The food was great and the axe throwing was a blast! The bar/axe bay combo made for a unique, fun atmosphere with a welcoming vibe. Our coach was attentive and super helpful when she noticed me struggling. Ended up getting a few bullseyes with her tips! We're locals but this is a great option for anyone looking to visit the city but get away from the Broadway chaos. We'll def be back.
It was absolute blast at this venue. Thanks to Kyle, who took care of us. It was our first time at axe throwing, and we had no clue what to do. But thanks to Kyle, we started on the right foot. Highly recommend this place. Great food, awesome drinks, and a fun place to be. Highly recommend.
Great service, the staff were helpful and accommodating to our needs. Very good with instructions and helpful at critiquing our throwing to improve so we did well and had fun. Nice atmosphere and clean. Overall we had fun, brought our kids and they also had fun throwing the smaller axe after getting instructions and training on its use.
Great experience with no wait! Instructor was wonderful, drinks were tasty! Had a great time throwing axes for a hour or two! Live music was also a treat! Artist was great!
We are visiting Nashville for the first time and decided to try Bad Axe Throwing. We had so much fun! It was also our first time doing this. The coach/guide was very friendly and gave us good advice about how to throw the axe and he routinely checked in on us. We had a great time and the other groups seemed to be as well.
Had so much fun with my sister’s bridal party! The service was great! The gal that helped us was so sweet & helpful!
First time visit, and it's a definite 10/10! Kaci was so great and patient with the training session and checked in on us frequently. We needed and appreciated it! The drinks were great and overall just a very relaxed vibe. The only con is the parking situation can be a bit tricky. The actual lot availability is very limited but there is a diagram to show where additional free parking is!
We were the first customers of the day. Location not to bad, took approximately 15-20 minutes to walk back to broadway. Enjoyed the activity, it’s harder than it looks!! I did in fact hit a bulls eye 🫡. Drinks were tasty! And atmosphere was relaxing. Def was a little bit of a arm workout🪓 had a great time trying something different (and taking a little bit of anger 😡 out, lol) #kissmyaxe 🪓
I love this place! I’ve been here a few times to axe throw and it’s so fun! I’ve eaten at the restaurant as well and it’s great! You get to eat food, then axe throw, or both at the same time! I love going here every time i’m in nashville and it’s my friends.
My fiancé and I went to Bad Axe in Nashville for our birthdays last weekend, and it was so much fun! We were able to get right in with no wait, the staff helped us get our throwing right, and the food and beer was great! I can’t recommend it enough for a fun date night. The only regret I have is ordering our food during our throwing time, instead of using all of our time for the axe throwing. But I can’t wait to go back again soon!
A must!!! Everyone was so wonderful, especially our coach, Brad. He took the time to help each of us get the swing of things and conquer the fear we all initially had. It was so much fun and they had a list of different games and their rules to play. Also… the fried Oreos are to die for…. they were melting in my mouth. This place is so bad axe!! As we exited, there were workers who interacted with us and told us to come back when their rooftop bar opened.. so excited to come back to Nashville to enjoy this!
Came for Monday night trivia and was very impressed with the roomy space, great food and excellent service! The axe throwing looks like fun. Hope to try it on our next visit! Looks like a fun place to watch the game too. The nachos and onion straws were amazing! Update: This is my spot to watch Manchester City games. They created a breakfast menu, and it is amazing!! The staff is so friendly and helpful. Their whole menu is incredible! Definitely get the tots they are like little crunchy clouds!!
This place has one of the best views in town. It looks and feels rugged, how it should feel when mixing primitive with innovative. The staff is very welcoming and pleased to always assist and a fan favorite of Hell On Wheels Nashville. The fact that it's walking distance from Broadway or even scooters is a plus.
My husband and I went for hot chicken week and it was our first time in there. Ashley was awesome and it felt like hanging out with a friend. The food was excellent!! Definitely would go here again.
Our girls hockey team from Minnesota had a fantastic time. Brenda was amazing and food was good and very fast. Kids and Adults loved the Axe and knife throwing. Great team event with memories forever!! Highly recommend!!!
Camry was awesome! He gave us detailed lessons and advice and made the whole experience so fun and not intimidating! Would definitely recommend Camry to anyone looking to throw some axes here.
So much fun. Thom showed us exactly what to do, I really struggled at first with the axe and my form by thin swing back round to help me out and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves trying something new!
Our company had a wonderful time with this team building event. Adam was wonderful to work with and the service was great! I would highly recommend Bad Axe Throwing Nashville.
Great crew with an awesome atmosphere. They took great care of our small group and we had a blast. Even the folks that had done axe throwing before hadn't done all that Bad Axe had to offer. Our only regret is we didn't stay longer. I would absolutely recommend for a group or for folks just looking for a fun afternoon.
My daughter’s softball team had a team outing at Bad Axe Throwing and had a fantastic time. The service was great! They made sure to get everyone set up in their system so it was easy to split the checks out. The food was really good and we had two dedicated servers for our event. The girls had a ton of fun with the axe throwing as did the parents. We will definitely visit again.
I had so much fun axe throwing here !! Four of us went for my mom’s birthday and booked a private lane. There are two boards you can throw axes , so i thought 4 was a good number because we switched 2 and 2. The back area is clean and quiet. Our guide was nice and helpful , but also gave us space to have fun, which I appreciated. He gave good tips on how to get your positioning right and when to let go. He made sure we knew the safety precautions before we started. The food was good ! Especially the nachos , i didn’t try much else. It takes a few tries to figure out where exactly you need to stand, but once we got the hang of it we started playing a competition. It was fun. I found it very stress relieving too ! I definitely want to come back.
Wish I could have given them more stars! The whole outing was fantastic including the staff, service, food and axe throwing experience. This was our second company event and we plan to make it a third with Bad Axe Throwing Nashville.
This was a great experience for us all! We spent 2 hours in this facility. The staff was more than helpful. The gentleman that helped us ( I cannot remember his name but wish I could. He deserves a huge THANK YOU ) - He was extremely helpful to show us rookies how to have a great time and play well. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect for us. We were visiting Nashville from northern Indiana and if we return to the south, we will be back. Thank you again to your family owned business for great memories !
amazingly fun, and really good food. the fried chicken was crispy, juicy and fresh. the painkilled drink was DELICIOUS, and that pretzel will live on in my dreams. the axe throwing was so much fun, and I DIDNT ACCIDENTALLY MAIM ANYONE! safety nets and instructions and coaching were very helpful :)
We had SO MUCH FUN!! We went as a birthday activity, and brought our 8-year-old twins along for the adventure, and WOW - everyone had an amazing time. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, the location was pulsing with feel good FUN energy. We can't wait to go again.
We are from out of town and have visited to throw axes on several occasions. The service is great and the fella that greeted us has been there everytime, and has recognized us when we arrive in each subsequent visit. We will definitely be back and encourage all to go. We frequent axe throwing establishments and this one is the best by far.
First time visiting was a pleasant experience. Checking in was simple with a nice young lady helping us get our lane. She also setup a pitcher of water with cups at our table. We had a party of 5, and had our lane for 2 hours while everyone seemed to have a great time. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Another thing I want to add is the restrooms were clean. So often this is not the case in a lot of places these days. Would recommend if you are in the notion for different experience.
Was here for the second time with the Tennessee Tow Truck Association quarterly meeting and the facility fits our needs perfectly and the food was great too. Wait staff were on it and speedy with drinks and food ! Definitely will come back !
We went as a family and it was such fun. Our 4 kids range in age from young teen to mid twenties. It's always a big win when we can find a family activity that everyone enjoys. Bad Axe was exactly that. I can't say enough good things about Camry, who took the time to give us helpful tips and pointers. Each one of us agreed that we'd go again.
We had a fantastic evening learning how to axe throw. The staff very helpful and encouraging as they taught us to throw for the first time. Food was simple but delicious.
We had a great time here. Clean and welcoming facility with fun and polite staff. If I had to think of a negative, it would be parking. Will absolutely be back!
We had a good experience. Service was great. I gave 4 stars because there was no music. They had TVs on but no music. Music while Throwing would have earned 5 stars. Go check them out, it's a good time!
This was my first time axe throwing and it was fun! The rental was for an hour but they let us go over time to finish up our last game. Training/coaching was kind of fast, but they were available for additional questions. The location is large and would he nice for parties/events. I got the nashville flatbread, a drink, and the hour rental and it was $45. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes, they do have rental available but better to wear your own. Food was decent, no complaints.
First time throwing axes and knives not at my older brother (sibling rivalry joke). My daughter and I spent an hour competing and had a blast! The coaching was good, and the technique is not complicated. Just like anything else, it takes a bit of practice and then you’ll be sticking the target every time (almost). My daughter (early 20s) did better with the knives. I felt better with the heft of the hatchets. But both were fun to learn. If you get serious about it, there are leagues. They have scorecards too. And pencils. Henry cuz if your lead breaks, you can use the hatchet to whittle it down. Food was typical bar food, and was tasty (fried pickles…so good and it’s a veggie so you can’t go wrong).
My wife and I decided to try out Bad Axe on a random Tuesday night, and to our surprise, we had the whole place to ourselves. Just us, a pile of sharp objects, and the bartender who doubled as our axe-throwing coach. He was awesome — super friendly, patient with a couple of rookies, and even whipped us up a drink (pretty decent too). We had a blast learning how to throw, and there’s definitely something satisfying about hearing that thunk when the axe sticks. The only thing that might hold us back from going again is the price. At $35 per person, per hour, it felt a bit steep — especially when you’re the only ones in the bar. Honestly, if it was closer to $15 each, they’d probably get more folks in the door and make up the difference with drink sales. Overall, it was a fun and unique night out, just maybe bring a little extra cash if you go.
We were just at the bar to watch a football game and we left quickly after we ate and had one drink each. The food was not bad but good. It was all of our least enjoyed meal. The chairs are uncomfortable. The ppl so I'm Ng the axe throwing looked like they were having a great time.
