Went here for the brunch! It was a small brunch menu but holy moly. That was one of the best things pancakes I have ever had. The browned butter that it comes with, is the stuff of dreams. I want to come back for dinner!
ALWAYS a favorite for me! Staff is 10/10. Food is 10/10. Atmosphere, you guessed it, 10/10! I always get the ensalada ((add grilled chicken and extra pickled onions - thank me later)). They changed a few things lately, and honestly, heating up the salsa was a unique choice but pop off sis. Love it and will forever be back!
From start to finish, my visit to Superica was delightful! I’d have no problem bringing my out of town friends here for Tex-Mex. Superica’s atmosphere was simply on point. I felt like I was in Texas and not in Tennessee. The best way to describe it was that it had the touch of the old West but brought to the modern age. The service here was solid. It didn’t take long at all to be seated. The server was super polite and friendly. He was timely about getting the orders in, bringing the food and drinks out, and getting the checks. The food and drinks were seriously delicious! To begin, the complimentary salsa came in two flavors, and both were fantastic. As for the drink, I ordered the original margarita, and it was strong and made to my liking. When it came to the food, I got the El Lopez, and it was heavenly to say the least. I had an excellent experience at Superica, and I’d love to go back again.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had (not even joking). This place is incredible. I got the fajitas and their house margarita and I’ve been dreaming about them ever since. The chips, salsa and queso were to die for. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for here. Think high end Tex Mex steakhouse vibes.
So happy to have this location in Nashville after loving it in Charlotte! We came for brunch and sat on their dog-friendly patio! They even gave us a bowl of water for our dog. They had heaters on next to us since it was a little chilly. We loved everything we ordered including the huevos rancheros and queso dip! All the salsas were amazing. The only thing I wasn’t too crazy about was the iced coffee. Our waitress was so nice and attentive!
Steven was great! Loved the beef tacos Al carbon. Will be back Solid Tex-mex.
Amazing from the first bite to the last. I had the beef quesadillias during lunch and it is the BEST ever. The beef has a nice smoky flavor from the wood fire, the chips and salsa are excellent, the beans absolutely better tasting. Really enjoyed the meal and service.
Thank You 😊 Outstanding Real food and free of condiments that make the food lose its flavor. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.💖
Really enjoyed this spot. Food was really good! Mocktails were also good. Overall just a great experience! I recommend this place and will definitely take friends and family here when they visit.
The food is very creative Mexican and/or southern American, very good! The service was fun and the place is larger with a big outdoor seating area as well.
The food was amazing! The Christmas in July was so good, I ordered two of them. Liv was fabulous + bar manager (Jeff I think) was accommodating and very friendly. Would recommend anyone give them a try, especially during brunch.
This is my second time visiting Superica and I am obsessed with the warm salsa . Ironically John E. was my waiter both times and I love that for me cause he’s literally the best . Being new to Nashville it’s been hard to find good food , a clean restaurant and good customer service. Both times you all have exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to come back to try the breakfast.
We've been to this location several times and it is INCREDIBLE every time. The service has been outstanding as the servers are very attentive and anticipate your needs. The food has been amazing and consistent on every visit. We personally love the fire wood grilled meats (Fajita's FTW- I could drink the butter sauce served with it!). Cremosa is perfect and adds some heat if that's your thing. They began doing a ground breaking new served warm salsa that was amazing! Cocktails are so well crafted and unique. It's hard to choose between brunch or dinner because the Hot Cakes at brunch with their house made syrup are the best pancakes you'll ever have. I want to write so much about the food, but you honestly can't go wrong with any offering. To wrap it all up, the general manager Tina is incredibly friendly, caring and runs a tight ship! Superica lives up to the name on every front.
My friend and I came in for brunch. The drinks were amazing we ordered Christmas in July. we made it time for brunch the food was fantastic as well, the bartender livrecommended the best choices ! Definitely a hidden gem in the gultch check it out !
Found this place on Friday nite on accident. Looking for a good place to eat while cruising around Nashville and saw this corner spot. Ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp, chicken and shrimp fajitas, beef enchilada and 2 chicken and steak tacos.
Steven (Duddy) was amazing and very attentive. Ended up here because other places were packed but so glad we did!!! Everything was DELICIOUS! We had the brunch 🤤
Outstanding place, we are visiting from Canada and happened to stay I Nashville, we came for dinner and Ty received us with a big smile and great way explaining the food. As he recommended we ordered enchiladas and fajitas The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was great We will definitely come back again in our next visit Cheers
I can’t stop thinking about the chicken enchiladas that I had!! We sat at the bar to have some margaritas which were amazing as well. The bartender recommended the specialty chicken enchiladas and when I say they were literally one of the best dishes I have ever had!! Friends had fajitas with fresh made tortillas and we order guacamole and spicy margs. 100% will go back and recommend.
Got the steak fajitas and it was magical. Would easily get it again. And my server liv was fantastic. Very engaging. Lovely experience!
Whilst walking the streets of Nashville we were drawn to a delicious smell and it led us here (true story!). We decided to stay for lunch and ordered two serves of the street style tacos - De Camerones (with Shrimp) and Al Pastor (with Pork Belly and Pineapple). Whilst waiting we were offered complimentary corn chips and salsas to snack on. When the tacos arrived they were super tasty and we were so glad we stopped by. The staff here are really friendly and Isaac looked after our every need. The atmosphere is very casual and the decor is super cool - a perfect place for dining in our eyes!
Johnny was amazing!! My husband and I can’t wait to come back! and the fajitas were delicious!!
Holy Smokes!! This place is excellent. No way this place is place gets less than 5 stars!! This place was excellent! The chips were great. The base salsas included were great. We ordered the Guacamole it was fresh and delicious. This comes with a different type of chips that are amazing by themselves. My daughter got the tacos which were good. My son loved the kids tacos. They are known for the Fajitas. Smoked chicken with a great fajita rub. Absolutely the best fajitas I have had anywhere. The chicken was incredible!! The fresh made tortillas was very good. The servings are plentiful check out the photo. So don't get scared by the cost. The service was great. Everyone was friendly. This was truly excellent 6 stars seriously. One of the best meals we had in our Nashville trip. There is a beautiful restaurant. The outside options is great option.
I was walking through Nashville in the hope that the right place would find me, and boy did it! Sitting at the bar I was enticed by the bartenders dedication to creating the perfect drink, asking for a recommendation, I was pointed towards the pork belly tacos. The food was flavorful, hot, and visually appealing. It touched all five senses with this meal, well balanced and the perfect portion sizes. The Hibiscus Margarita was phenomenal, sweet yet tart, and a beautiful vibrant red. Talking with the bartender I found out that all ingredients are made fresh each day, there are no premixed ingredients in their drinks. I had a wonderful piece of trees leches cake that finished off my meal perfectly, it was soft and had a subtle sweetness complimented by the shaved coconut. I highly recommend adding this to your next trip to Nashville. I had a great time here, and will definitely be back!
The service was quick and friendly, and the Mexican food was delicious. Everything came out fresh and full of flavor. The staff made sure we were well taken care of, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
Best fajitas in town period. The steak used for the fajitas rivals any steakhouse in town. Everything here is excellent even the burger and even the rice and beans are above average.
Great restaurant experience! We had a reservation and were seated right on time. The service was excellent — our server was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the jalapeño margarita, which had a solid kick and great flavor. The chips, queso, and salsa were fresh and tasty — a great start. I got the tampiqueña plate (steak with cheese enchiladas, Mexican rice, and a fried egg), and it was fantastic. The steak was perfectly grilled, the enchiladas were packed with flavor, and the egg on top was a really nice touch. Everything on the plate worked well together. Highly recommend if you’re looking for bold flavors and a great vibe!
Easily our favorite Tex-Mex style joint in Nashville. We go about 1 per month and the service is always prompt and consistent. Excellent food. Go early to avoid the wait.
Johnny was great tonight! I have been here and been waited on by Dahja (sp?), Jonathan, and Johnny and all three are AMAZING! Not only are the food and drinks great, but also the service! This is my 4th time in the last 3 weeks 🤭. I’ll definitely be back!
We loved the food. Appreciated the homemade tortillas and salsas in particular. It wasn’t lazy fare. There was real love and effort in the food and presentation. Also the tortilla soup is perfect on a cold day.
There are few places left in the world that know how to do real Tex-Mex cheese enchiladas with chili gravy. This place nails it to the point you have to consider it as haute cuisine. Holy Gods is that dish good! Queso is excellent. Bar and service excellent. Everything we had was fantastic. Will definitely return. Cheese enchiladas!!!!
INCREDIBLE. Everything here has an explosion of flavors. Still dreaming about the Superica salad with creamy Mexican Oregano dressing 🤤 plus the soft, perfect homemade tortillas with the mixed chicken & steak fajitas. Also loved the Crudo Verde that comes with their chips - bright, green and fresh! Can't wait to go back.
Great lunch spot. Haven't been for dinner. The fajitas are awesome and the steak is great. Give this place a try!
We sat outside under the fans. It was lovely. Our service was fabulous. The food was more than sufficient in volume. Everything came out hot and delicious! The pancake is huge, plenty for us to share. The house made sangria was the perfect blend, not too sweet. Loved it all!
This place is fantastic for lunch and dinner! Johnny our sever was great! All the food was awesome. Price point for downtown is right on par and not to expensive.
My wife and I are from South Texas and Superica has a GREAT atmosphere and GREAT food. Plus your waitstaff was AWESOME. Jonny was our waiter and he explained everything on the menu that we had questions about. Thank You so much
Our server Liv tonight was amazing. So much energy & on top of things. She cracked jokes like we’ve known her forever. Couldn’t stop eating the chips & salsa too. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks for an awesome Saturday!
Best fajitas in Nashville, and the potions are huge. They're known for margaritas but also make a mean mojito- don't skip the queso! Add in friendly servers, and we had a great experience
Johnny was the absolute best! He was very personable and friendly and took such great care of us. He is quick to take our order and makes sure we are good throughout or dining experience all while not being over bearing!!! Would LOVE to have him as our server every time!!!
My friends and I had our last girls night dinner and had John E as our server. He was so friendly and so willing to help us! He gave great tips for what to order! We loved the food and had such a great time eating at Superica! I am from a state with LOTS of good Mexican food and the food was great! I really had a great experience with all the different servers and say thank you to John E for being so kind to us all!
We stopped by the place last night for dinner, and I would say the portion size is really good. We ordered the bandit queen drink for my SO and a hibiscus lemonade for myself and the drinks did not disappoint. Highly recommend trying out the chile con queso we tried it with chicken and loved it, also will recommend the shrimp taco and the chicken verde enchiladas. The only thing I didn’t like were the Mexican rice it did taste off for me but everything else was good.
The margaritas were good and there was a big selection of different types. Everyone else in my party seemed to like their food. The fish of the day was particularly a good value and was tasty. Sad to say there wasn't much here for me to eat. Nothing was marked gluten-free and I ordered the pork belly tacos. It came with beans so all I ate was the meat and beans. It was very loud in here which made it hard to communicate to the server about any dietary needs.
I've heard a lot of good things about Superica and decided to give it a try. Walking in, the host stand had 3 people behind it and not one person said hello or had a smile on their face. Not a good welcoming environment. That attitude quickly changed thanks to our waiter Johnny! Fabulous service, nice, kind, helpful with the menu! I hope the restaurant notices he is a great asset to their business! The food was good, i'm not too sure I would rave about it. The crispy tacos were very crispy and I loved that. Rice and beans were not the best... also very small sized portions for 4 people to share. Fondue queso was delish though, I must say. Definitely on the higher end for pricing of Mexican food... not positive I would be back.
Pretty delicious food. Service was very poor. Expected a little more energy based on venue. Food was great. Little work on desserts perhaps. Also server delivered dessert on top of our entrees. That was a sour taste on our mouths. Perhaps he could have cleared the table 1st. Free parking in the lot.
Decent spot, but, let's say truth: 1) entering the restaurant you're greeted on your walk from parking with trash juice drippings as the only way to their garbage is from the front entrance🤢 2) don't waste $11/$18 on the OG margarita, not big enough or strong enough to balance w the price. 3) we went on a Sunday so the brunch menu was in play. The juevos rancheros is better at any other local Mexican you can get. 4) the fajitas are nice. 5) the service is nice.
I am from central TX but have lived in nashville 15 years. This was my 5th visit to Superica in nashville. All times have been great, except this past visit. The waiter began by explaining the menu changes and how they provided unlimited beans and rice now… That raised an eyebrow… I ordered chicken carbon tacos, and it was very disappointing. The portion size equated to 3 almost street sized tacos with different/modified tortillas from before. It came out to maybe 15 bites total with a paltry amount of diced onion/tomato,cheese/cilantro to place in them. This was about 1/3rd of what they provided for this dish in the past for the same price ($23 plus tax/tip), and it was not nearly as good as before. Place was about half full on a Friday night at 8:30pm…guess word has gotten out? We will not be back…
For my first time here I was underwhelmed. I felt rushed by the waiter, the food, at least what we ordered tasted sub par. If your looking for spicy salsa this definitely is not the place. Even the "spiciest" salsa they have was weak. I'd be willing to give it another try only just order something different
Music was terrible here. Think 60's music with no words mixed with awful Mexican. Great server. Guac had no flavor. Needed red onion, salt, lime and cilantro. Steak nashos were undercooked and the pieces were large enough, that you had to pull apart with your fingers and teeth. Salsa was very good. $69 lunch with one cocktail a piece. There were two of us. I ordered a mimosa and my boyfriend had a small margarita. We only had nachos to eat with quac. Alcohol tax was $6.68. Three times as much as our food tax. Nashville isn't worth the trip. Used to have good rock n roll clubs but they went out of business.
Worst place I have eaten at. The salsa was way too salty not edible. We ordered margaritas with no salt a waiter brought them with salt. I ordered another one and made sure I told him again, no salt because I had a heart attack 6 weeks ago. I don’t want salt he said he would take it off the bill. And no he did not. On the website it listed outdoor seating so wanted to sit outside, they said we couldn’t even though they had heaters outside. I would give them a 0 if I could.
Service and food continue to deteriorate here. The hosts have always been a bit haughty and last night tipped the scales for me when I arrived before the rest of my party and the restaurant was nearly empty but was told I could not be seated until others arrived. No excuse for that. The server was inattentive and felt like speed dating as she rushed through our order, when we paused for a moment she left saying she’d come back. At one point she “checked in” to see how things were and before we could respond said “great” and left. Food portions are smaller and quality has diminished greatly with about 6 chips brought to accompany the guacamole. I’m not planning on returning again and would recommend other better options if you are looking for a fun night out.
I’m genuinely disappointed to write this, because Superica used to be one of my absolute favorite spots in Nashville. I don’t even like Tex-Mex normally — in fact, I usually avoid it — but this was the one place I truly enjoyed. They had a broad, exciting menu with tons of options, and everything tasted incredible. Their steak was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. The tacos were some of the best in the city, and there was always something new to try. For a long time, this was one of the restaurants I told everyone to visit. After only a couple of months away, my friends and I came back to Nashville and decided to stop by, expecting the same great food and lively atmosphere. Instead, the moment we arrived, we realized something was very wrong. The restaurant was almost completely empty — a huge contrast from the busy, energetic place it used to be. Then came the parking. We had to pay ridiculous fees just to park, something that never used to be an issue. It felt unnecessary and honestly like a money grab. Inside, the vibe was completely off. The music didn’t match the atmosphere at all — mismatched, and strangely chosen for a restaurant that once felt warm and inviting. Instead of enhancing the environment, it just made everything feel uncomfortable. But the real disappointment came when we sat down and opened the menu. What used to be a full, flavorful assortment of dishes had been reduced to a single page. A one-page menu. The variety, the creativity, the options — gone. It didn’t even feel like the same restaurant. To make things worse, our server clearly had no idea what he was talking about. Anytime we asked a question about a dish, ingredients, or recommendations, he seemed completely clueless. He couldn’t explain anything, didn’t seem familiar with the menu, and his suggestions made no sense. It added to the feeling that the entire place had changed — and not for the better. We ended up paying a lot of money for plain, flavorless tacos that came with absolutely nothing. No sauce. No garnish. No flavor. what I received was literally just chicken and onions on a tortilla. No sauce. No seasoning. Nothing. It tasted unfinished, like someone forgot half the ingredients. It was so bad I didn’t even want a to-go box. That’s how you know something is wrong. Superica used to be a place I recommended to everyone. I’ve brought friends here, told people visiting Nashville to try it, and always bragged about how good it was. Now? I’ve reached out to people I once encouraged to go and told them not to. The quality has dropped so drastically that it’s honestly shocking.
