This is a 5 Star location based on the friendliness of staff, quality of food and serenity of the environment. The Chef talks with you at your table and invites you to come watch him prepare dishes at a front row bar. The owner is friendly and knows her business. The wait staff is phenomenal. Visited M twice during a rent conference trip to Nashville. Best part of our trip.

Fried green tomatoes were amazing. The chicken waffles were quite tasty. The pork shank was so tender and delicious that I ate the entire, huge shank myself. The shank is served in an incredible sauce with greens and black-eyed peas. 5 stars is not enough.

My wife and I stopped here for dinner this past weekend and loved it. The food was delicious at a fair price. I have to give props to the manager... we sat near the bar and there was a somewhat noisy group of 3-4 at the bar. He came over and asked if the noise level was ok and if it wasn't he'd take care of it. We thought it was fine and he walked away. Later he dropped off a drink I ordered and said it was on the house due to the noisy group. Definitely under good management!

OMG! My daughter and I love this place! I recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes! The best ever! Had chicken and waffles too! Superb! Peach cocktail also on point! I cannot wait to try everything on the menu!

I had the filet. It was amazing! Seasoned and temped to perfection, and the egg added some appreciated fat. The wedge salad was very good, but the bread pudding was simply unbelievable. I simply cannot overstate how good the steak and bread pudding were.

This was one of the best dinners I've ever had. That's saying a lot because I had the scallop dish and I don't even usually really like scallops! Great kale salad too, and great service/atmosphere.

Everything was excellent ! From the appetizers , to the mains, all the way to the dessert. Service too was impeccable. Highly recommend the peach salad, beautiful combination of flavours and the pancake dessert. One of the highlights of our trip to Nashville 🎸

I went here with members of my sales team for dinner. The food was magnificent. Why they don't have an expansive menu, they do have something that about anyone would be happy with. Their desserts were out of this world. Service was great, which you would expect at this type of a place.

This was our second night of our trip to dine here. Both experiences were absolutely five star!! This is one place, you do not want to miss on your visit to Nashville! The real secret is to sit at the bar, and share all the experience that this restaurant has to offer!!

The Fried Green Tomatoes were the best i have had. I split the Hot Chicken and Waffles and the Banh Mi pork sandwich. Both were delicious with complimenting flavors! The staff was what really made the meal, they were wonderful and attentive!

My wife and I went to M. Restaurant & Bar for a lunch meeting with coworkers and vendors. Pizza, chicken and waffles, lobster mac and cheese, everything is amazing! The entire experience at this place was one of best from our trip to Nashville! We would definitely recommend M.

Had a great dinner, exploring southern food and drinks. Super nice people and excellent food. Hot chicken and waffles appetizer, fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits, all were superb. Highly recommended.

How about this, they called us in my cell to say there was a cancellation and we could come early! The staff was really nice to us out of towners and even funny. We started with the Fried Green Tomato’s and Chicken&Waff and they were the BOMB. After that the food got even better, if possible and the drinks (whiskey sours) got even better. We would give a 10 if they had that many stars. Ala Family of 6

This place is phenomenal. Best bite I have had in a long time. Kudos to the flavor profiles. I highly recommend the filet. Such a great dinner, service is above and beyond. Looking for something great in the Gulch the M is where it is at..:::

Whoa! Unexpectedly A-Mazing!!! Business dinner for 20-something people. Our server was incredible. Served every glass of wine and dish while sharing a fantastic story about how it was cooked, architectured or the sheer history. All recommedations matched the preceding deliciousness. Quaint, modern ambiance. I will definitely recommend and return on future trips.

This place was outstanding. I had a hard time choosing from the broad menu. Everything was delicious and well presented. Excellent service. It wasn't too crowded on a Monday night. I will definitely be back!

Great food! The chefs pay excellent attention to detail in terms of both plating and flavor profiles. You’ll have a tough time deciding on an entree because this place has a very diverse menu. I ended up going with the salmon. It was one of the best salmon dishes I’ve had because of all of the amazing flavors it incorporated. If you’re looking for an upscale dining experience, consider coming here!

As a Nashville Native this place has seemed to be around for forever, so we decided to give it a shot since we’d never heard anything from anyone we knew about the place. And it was a very good decision. It seems much more like the Nashville originals of yesterday (and that is a huge compliment). Our service was very good and attentive along with delicious food. The ambiance is a bit open but still comfortable. We had the bone marrow app, I had the paella and my friend chose the vegetarian dish. They were all delicious! We will be back. A great place for couples/groups as well.

Great experience here. There were six of us at dinner (bachelorette group). We were hoping for a quiet and delicious with a little bit more formal feel. This is exactly what were looking for. I loved the cell phone free zone. ALL of the food was delicious. I can definitely recommend the crab cakes, biscuit and steak appetizer and the scallops with tortellini. We had reservations and they were able to accommodate us immediately even though we were 30 minutes early. Attended to our group thoroughly. Thanks for the great experience and great food. We will be back!

I had the pork shank and spouse had raviolli (with chicken due to allergy)... both were great. Staff was attentive but a little slow. We were there right when they opened so they were still getting it going for the night but it was good. Alex was our server and he was great. Bread pudding was to die for...go just for that and it is a great night.

Best Lunch (and Dinner and Brunch) This is a great place for business lunches during the week. Great variety on the menu with a southern touch. Clean and open. Service is impeccable, too. Lastly, save room for dessert. All are good, but the bread pudding is awesome.

We sampled all the appetizers on the menu all of which were great. The bone marrow was an especially tasty treat. As far as the entrees were concerned, the oork shank was phenomenal and the crab cakes were also well received although not considered the best ever. For dessert we had the chocolate Creme Brûlée, the bread pudding and the peach cobbler.

Food was absolutely amazing. Server was good, but might have been having an off night so our group didn't hold it against him. Cocktails were delicious (I had the black walnut manhattan). The chicken and waffles appetizer was a HUGE hit at our table and everybody cleared their plate even with good-sized portions. The restaurant was also a quick walk from the Westin - super convenient if you're staying in that part of town.

Wanted a unique date night dinner with my wife. This place was perfect. It’s not a big restaurant. You can see the whole kitchen. The drinks were great but the good was amazing. The salmon was epic. Highly recommend this place for a small group or date dinner,

The best shrimp and grits I've ever had. One of the best meals I've ever had. Shout-out to Alex, easily the best service we've had in Nashville. We walked in thinking it was pricey and walked out feeling like the food was worth every penny.

First, the ambiance was amazing. Small setting and exclusive. Had chicken and waffles for an appetizer. The bomb diggiddy! I had the bronzed sea scallops and tortellini. It was amazing. The staff exceptional. They Knew just what to suggest. Did I day the food was fantabulous... I will definitely come back on more than one occasion.

I was there with my team so there was a special menu predrawn for our group. There wasn't anything I wanted. I briefly expressed that to a colleague. The server must have heard. When he asked my order he mentioned they also had salmon. I was truly grateful and it was delicious! Just disappointed that they didn't have Blue Moon or Corona beer.

A very nice new restaurant. First off, the seating is EXTREMELY comfortable. I mean, it's not usually a thing unless the seats are really uncomfortable, but I'd take these chairs over my couch. The food is good but expensive, the wine is really expensive, they don't serve beer, and the menu is fairly limited (but quality and changes often). Expect to drop $120 on a two-person meal.

Good chicken sandwich and hand cut fries. They were out of the sweet potato fries that day. It's the kind of place for a business lunch, though the tables were really close together, so it's more of a place to be seen and heard unless you sit in the private dining room.

Absolutely delicious with superb service . Catch of the day , crabcakes and filet for main courses; chicken on waffles and lollipops and fried green tomatoes for appetizers , closing with derby pie and bread pudding. Four hungry guys leaving very satisfied on all levels.

Honestly, I wish Google allowed me to give half ratings because M Restaurant & Bar probably deserves a 3.5. At our last visit the staff was friendly and attentive and the drinks came out fine, but the food had mixed reviews from our party of seven. I've been to M a few times and consider it a decent option to grab a nice dinner in the Gulch area.

We had a dinner for my husband's work. We both ordered the filet mignon (rare) it was okay the salad came out and it was different. They have the tray with fried green tomatoes,crab cakes,hot chicken and waffles. I tasted the crab cakes and the tomatoes and they were okay, not like the ones we cook. I guess that it's okay but not our kind of thing. I know that when we go out to eat we would never go there not that it's bad food... it's just not our cup of tea..I would recommend that everyone try it for yourself and then you can get the whole experience. It's not just the food the whole dinner was a journey from start to finish.😶

Over priced and our waiter "Jay" didn't write down our orders, forgot about our group, would have a snarky joke/story to tell me everytime I tried to order something then would forget that I ordered anything at all. I guess that's the service your table of 9 gets because the $150 gratuity was already included in the bill; he didn't have to worry about providing good customer service.

Have had both lunch and dinner here. Lunch was great, good service and food was well prepared. Dinner experience was not quite as good, had their Ribeye which was ok. Our server was very polite and attentive. Better options food wise just a short walk away in The Gulch.

A large group went here last night for a special meal to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was the worst service experience I’ve had in Nashville, HANDS DOWN. Our food, overall was EXCELLENT. Our server, J.R., left SO much to be desired. His attitude was hefty, and unwarranted. He talked most of the entrees down, leaving us unsure of what to order since he didn’t seem to be a big fan of much. He emphasized that the chef was the Titans and Predators chef and that was about as positive as it got. He wanted to do everything his way— refusing a group member who wanted to order a salad with the appetizer course (because she needed a gluten-free option). Our group particularly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, shrimp & grits, chocolate creme brûlée and the donut den bread pudding. I would easily go back for the food, but the lackluster service will definitely keep us from returning. We spent over $800 as a group (with gratuity included of course), and would go elsewhere if we had it to do over. Disappointing, there are better options in Nashville to be sure.

There are so many better options around the general area for a nice dinner than M. When I went, the staff didn't know where to sit customers, constantly kept mixing up orders, was not very friendly and brought out the food lukewarm. Also, the tables are too close together and servers often bump into the chairs. Not a very pleasant dining experience.
