Our server Carly was amazing! She was very attentive and friendly. She also had great recommendations on dishes and pairing! The food was also delicious! We would love to come back and have her as our server again! She helped make our Valentine's date special!☺️
This is our first time in Nashville and very happy we chose to come to Puckett’s. The staff here are very friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and the food is delicious! There are also nights they have live music and tonight they did and the duo were great! Yvonne was our waitress tonight for Valentines Day and she was awesome! She has such great energy and her customer service is wonderful. She had great recommendations for the menu and made sure to check in even though she was busy! She helped to make our experience here even better. If you’ve never been, please come and dine here. You will not regret it! Also, make sure you sit in Yvonne’s section!
This is a fantastic, noisy (but in a good way) restaurant with live music and great service! Everything our group ordered was delicious and reasonably priced! Our server was friendly and attentive. And when one of our ordered items took a bit longer to get to our table than she thought was appropriate, she gave it to us at no charge. Excellent customer service!!
The combination of smoked brisket, cheesy mac, coleslaw, and sweet potatoes is a masterclass in balance. It’s smoky richness, creamy indulgence, crisp freshness, and earthy sweetness all playing together. It’s the kind of plate that satisfies both the soul and the stomach, leaving you full and happy. It’s a must try in Nashville. Also they suggested their lager that paired perfectly with our meal. It added the just amount of crisp to the drink. The staff were so kind and polite! Great vibe too and plenty of seats to go around.
We came here for lunch while in town for the weekend in January. I had been to a Puckett’s one other time years ago and remembered it being good. This location is a couple blocks off of Broadway and it’s an easy walk. We sat at the bar and we were greeted quickly by a bartender. We had a couple iced teas and ordered two meals; one meat + 2 and one meat + 3. The food was delicious. I had catfish as my meat and it was perfectly cooked. I had baked beans and collard greens and I was happy the greens were not overly salted. I tried some of the mashed sweet potato’s and they were very good too. Oh and let’s not forget the cornbread pancakes which were also very good. I had no trouble finishing my plate. I tried the barbecue sauce too and preferred the spicy. Our bartender, I think his name was Logan, was personable and attentive. We didn’t have any cocktails but I saw him make a couple and they looked good. Prices were good. Portion sizes were perfect. The atmosphere was easygoing and comfortable. We had a great experience.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Puckett’s, thanks in large part to my server Mikala. She was incredibly friendly and made me feel like a guest in her home rather than just another customer. When I asked for a recommendation, she suggested the shrimp and grits, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. The warmth and genuine hospitality she provided really elevated the entire meal. Highly recommend asking for Mikala if you visit!
Excellent! Was in for a quick late lunch because they have gluten free options. I let the gentleman at the front know that I was in a hurry and knew what I wanted. He was great. Found me a great table and took my order immediately without having to wait for the server. Thanks! The butterflied trout was absolutely awesome. I enjoyed a great piece of fish with shrimp, corn, rice, and more. Thanks for a great experience.
First visit at Puckett’s and it was fantastic!! Our server Carley was so nice and friendly. She was very helpful with items on the menu. She checked on us several times to make sure everything was all good. Definitely will be coming back!!
I came here after missing the opportunity a couple of years ago. So worth the wait! Just a little walk from downtown if you’re staying in one of the local hotels. It has a nice country store atmosphere, staff is very friendly and food was excellent! Mikayla was working the bar when I sat down and she was very pleasant and was on top of her game! Definitely a must hit on your trip to Nashville!
Puckett’s offers classic Southern comfort food in a lively, welcoming setting. We had reservations and arrived a bit early, yet were seated within 5–10 minutes, which was appreciated given how busy the restaurant was. The atmosphere is energetic but still very family-friendly, and the live music added a fun, authentic Nashville touch to the experience. I ordered the beef brisket, which was flavorful and well prepared. The fried okra, however, was a bit underwhelming, slightly cold and on the dry side. Overall, we enjoyed the vibe and the music, though the restrooms could use a more thorough cleaning. Still, a solid stop for Southern food and live music in the heart of Nashville.
Just walked in without checking it out first because it looked crowded. We were not disappointed! Fantastic service at the bar. We asked to sit there to watch the football game and the bartender gladly accommodated us. Check out the menu on line as they have a big menu (they serve breakfast until 11a). Huge portions. Very reasonable prices. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was delicious. Not too spicy. Not too sweet. Nicely breaded, crispy but still tender. Coleslaw was good. Large portion of thin fries. The Piggy Mac was amazing. Lots of pulled pork covered with the creamiest macaroni and cheese, topped with two tasty little pancake type biscuits.
Mikala was an amazing server! We walked in for dinner, expecting a wait. Instead, we got seated in less than 5 minutes! Food was great and fairly priced, service was fast and our server was so kind. I got a cherry wood smoked pulled pork sandwich. Great spot!!
Great place for dinner. Nice mix of locals and tourists. Our server was Kelcy, did an amazing job with service and food recommendations. 4 people 4 different meals. All excellent. I had the hot fried chicken. Really one of the best chicken dinners I have had. Crispy, tender and hot.
Forst of all, the most impressive part of this experience was Noah, the bartender. When he brought me the check, he leaned over the bar, extended his hand, and introduced himself with a firm handshake. True gentlemanly behavior that is all too rare (at least in Florida, where I am from). On top of that, the mojo burger was incredible. A burger with bacon and pulled pork. With cole slaw and baked beans. Nope...not on the side...right on that bad boy. Amazing!
Came to Nashville for vacation and decided to stop at Puckett's after a recommendation from the locals and cannot say I was disappointed, food was great, service was phenomenal and couldn't ask for better southern food. Macy was our server and she was amazing.
Loverly food, waitress was wonderful and there was live music. A nice place to spend an evening. The only downside was trying to park in the town. It's done by mobile phone everywhere and as an English tourist the system wouldn't allow my phone to pay. And parking is a bit on the expensive side here.
Make a reservation ahead of time. I ordered the BBQ platter and it was way more food than I expected in the best way. The pulled pork and chicken were really good, even if a bit salty. And the atmosphere is a solid 10/10.
One of our all time favorites and every time we visit we return. Never disappoints and always provides a great experience and hits in all aspects of perfection. 5 out of 5 is well earned and deserved.
Enjoyed a late breakfast while in Nashville. Needed to stop in for some local eats even if it wasn't the typical meal to seek out. The breakfast burrito was on point and the fruit was fresh and perfectly ripe! Thanks for letting me start my TN trip with y'all!
Delicious bbq! Had to try some non Texas BBQ while in Nashville and it was delicious! My fav was their Texas style BBQ sauce though. Our group of three tried the sampler platter and it was more than enough food!
Oh my!!! Great place and atmosphere with very nice staff. Better yet: The smoked meatloaf! Outstandingly unique! Best meatloaf I’ve ever had!
Holy wow, this place is 🔥. Douglas our server was awesome and so helpful. The food was incredible, the BBQ was beyond authentic, the skillet Mac and cheese and cornbread was one of the best I’ve had and their cobbler… just go to Puckett’s because you won’t regret it!!
Everything about this place is great! Portion sizes are huge. This plate four pieces of chicken and two sides was $19. The best green beans I’ve ever had. And their reputation for having the best fried chicken as well deserved. Our waitress was fantastic. This will be on my must go places every time. I’m in Nashville.
Having driven 1700 km from the north-eastern side of the continent, I finally hit the right spot in Nashville for the long sought chicken steak (deep fried sirloin). The folks at Puckett's delivered the goods the way I dreamt about for years: A medium cook sirloin covered with the exact amount of a tasteful batter, deep fried to an eye poppin' golden color. Served with home-made mash, greens, coleslaw and corn bread. That, along with a fresh brew (or 2 !), did inspire me for a magnificent deep fried chocolate brownie, toped-off with whip cream and a strip of bacon. I mean, not exactly what my cardiologist had advised me, but we only live once, right... Right ?! Anyways, I had my meds with me !
We got the "whole farm" and shared it. It was absolutely delicious. Great way to try everything. Our waitress Carly was wonderful, we would definitely recommend coming here.
I think the most important thing to shout out here was the service we got from Holly. She was beyond lovely, kind, and attentive. And Parker Hastings we **actively** stayed and ordered an extra drink to hear the end of his set. He was a wonderful musician. I don’t think this place will go down as the best BBQ I’ve ever had in my life (although their nachos hit the spot) but it has an absolute vibe. I think if you’re an out of town visitor who wants a Broadway experience without the blaringly loud electric guitar, this might suit you down to the ground. The crowd was generally a little older, seemed quite “out of towner”, and I think this would give you a “Nashville” experience without breaking the bank or leaving you hungry.
Got here right after breakfast was ending (which looked good btw) and got some lunch. The pimento cheese balls were delicious and unique. I got the daily meat and 3 sides special. I opened for the pulled pork but chicken was an option. If I understand it correctly it changes daily. Sides were green beans and fries. They are more liberal with salt in the south but I personally like it. Didnt find it overwhelming. All in all i enjoyed my meal, atmosphere, prices, and service.
Great food and service. Can be quite difficult to get a table on weekends. We had no wait time on a weekday for lunch. Recommend the meat and 2 specials. The pulled pork or chicken, with mash and rice and red beans are good. From the deserts the cinnamon roll bread pudding is very good (see photo).
Had dinner here after the Shiners show, fiod was amazing, Bailey the bartender was awesome and did this for our daughters birthday.
We popped in on a Sunday night for a light dinner. Ordered appetizers to share. The nachos were delicious (and some toppings served on the side for the picky eaters). The sampler platter was a great option for variety! Service was quick and friendly. Prices were reasonable. I'm sure it's even more fun with live music. Bonus my daughter found the secret drawer and left a napkin note for the next Pucketts patron!
Celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary in Nashville we had a great dinner and show at Puckett’s. Katrina Burgoyne sang a song for us.
Wonderful experience! Was with a large bus tour group and our evening plans for River Cruise & Dinner was cancelled due to high river levels. Our tour guide had to quickly arrange for different venue to accommodate our large group of 50, and Pucketts came to the rescue! Private dining room, super large buffet style dinner, and music entertainment arranged. We all had a great time, the food was delicious, and the owner went above and beyond to accommodate and make sure we all had everything we needed! Can't wait to return on my next Nashville visit!
Went with my family and we had an amazing experience. The food we ordered came after waiting a healthy amount of time, and our drinks never stayed empty. The whole atmosphere was wonderful, and all of this, was thanks to our most amazing waitress Carly. We are confident that any people that Carly helps or serves will have a similar experience. ^^
came in for a burger but couldn't resist the smell of BBQ. ended up getting the whole dang farm and it was great!!! josey at the bar is super chill and friendly. he made be feel very welcomed. will be coming back for sure...someone get josey an ice cold glass of milk!
Hands down one of my favorite spots in Nashville! The moment you walk in, the staff make you feel totally at home—friendly, attentive, and full of good recommendations. We went with their suggested lager, and it paired perfectly with our meal. Seriously, it added just the right crispness and made every bite better. The atmosphere is awesome too: chill, lively, and spacious enough that you don’t feel crowded. Perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying a solo meal. I’m already planning my next visit because everything about this place—from the drinks to the service to the overall vibe—just clicks. If you want an authentic local spot with great food and even better drinks, this is it!
my wife came here years ago and wanted to come again. we made reservations for 7:30 but we got there at 7:15 and there was still about a 20-30 minute wait. the restaurant was packed, despite it being a weekday. there were also others with reservations waiting a long time too. the host did seem annoyed at the fact that the front was so crowded. as we were waiting we thought to go to the bar for a drink and two seats were open and ready so we just decided to eat there. we ordered the fried green beans and the mac and cheese with pulled pork. the fried beans were delicious. crispy and well seasoned. i could’ve finished the whole basket! the mac and cheese was good but i wasn’t a big fan of the pulled pork. the flap jacks were okay but one was burnt on one of the sides. overall, my experience here wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. the live music was nice too. it was a super packed restaurant and i don’t think they had enough staff. i still recommend coming here if you’re wanting a quick bite but i don’t think it’s worth going out of your way for.
The restaurant has a cool vibe like many Nashville locations but the seating is very tight. We had a party of 7 at a long skinny booth. It was way too crowded with food. Our server was awesome. All of the food from the meatloaf to the ribs had great flavor BUT it was all pretty cold including mashed potatoes that were stiff enough to cut with your fork. A unique mix of food had something for everyone. Skip the Old Fashioned (tons of ice waters it down).
First Dinner in Nashville and we chose Puckett's. We wanted the experience of local foods from a known spot. I chose whole Farm for meal for the both of us. I would call this the "Kit & Kaboodle" This came with smoked turkey breast, smoked sausage, half chicken, beed brisket, cherry wood smoked pulled pork, served with smoked bake beans and collard greens. We added a side of red beans, rice and sausage. She chose a smoked whiskey bloody Mary with a fried chicken drumstick! She really enjoyed that drink. I want to say the smoke sausage was great, and the smoked Turkey breast was really good. All food was really good..I think the half chicken needed to be cooked longer. We arrived late and were only ones ordering food in restaurant. For the place being empty, it did take awhile before a server showed up. We were close to leaving. However once the server arrived, then the service was good.
Lovely southern food. The appetizer platter is good as well as the entrees. The portion sizes are huge that you can get full easily. Beer selection is good.
The staff was very accommodating didn't like the fact that we were told that some seating was not available but overall it was satisfactory. Food portions are large so go with an appetite and exp6a doggy bag the host and our waitress were great I tipped both👍🏽
Found this place on Google reviews. It was 745 a.m., and the first available reservation was at 9 am. Decided to walk over anyway to see if we could get on the list. Walked in the door, and the restaurant was 75% empty. Hostess sat us at a table next to everyone else. I asked for a table next to the one she selected, and she said, "we don't have a server for that table." Literally 30 seconds later, she sat 2 people at that exact table. To add insult to injury, the waitress for that table appeared quickly while we waited for ours to show up. Our waitress did eventually show up, and I realized after a while that she was way overworked. There were only 2 waitresses covering all the tables, so they were running around nonstop. She did a great job as busy as she was. On to the meal. I ordered the early riser, which is bacon, grits, a biscuit, and 2 eggs. I added a side of sausage gravy to add to the biscuits, which I top with the poached eggs. How was the food? The biscuit had good flavor and great texture - just fluffy enough. The bacon, which I had ordered crispy, wasn't crispy enough, but it had good flavor. The grits? Not standout, but still good. The eggs were poached perfectly, which is no easy feat for a place that isn't generally a breakfast place. The meal was the highlight of the visit - I'd absolutely eat breakfast there again. It was slightly annoying that the table that got seated after us was mostly done with their breakfast by the time we got our food and that table waa reseated by the time we paid our bills. Again, I don't blame the waitress because she was incredibly busy, I was just annoyed at the hostess who seated someone at the exact same table I requested. Is it worth a repeat visit? Yes. Since this place was a strong 3 / weak 4, I opted to give them the benefit of the doubt and boost it up to 4.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by Puckett’s for a recent weekend dinner, assuming it would be a total tourist trap based on its location. But the old country store ambiance is a welcome change from the pervasive bar feeling downtown. However, the atmosphere is still very crowded and loud, especially when live music started. Food portions are on the smaller side and prices on the higher side, but nothing crazy for downtown. Chicken fried chicken with sides was tasty. Deep fried brownie sundae looked quite impressive but did not taste great—it is more of a battered chocolate cake. All in all, a good option for homestyle cooking downtown and with live music at least on weekends.
Puckett's Restaurant in Nashville, TN is an awesome place to have a southern comfort meal. The atmosphere is very relaxed with a nice mix of music and conversation while you dine. Tried the Southern Fried chicken, the Piggy Mac, and the BBQ sandwich with fries. All of the entrees were well seasoned and cooked just right. The chicken was the best of the bunch. The sides were all great as well. The Mac and Cheese could use an upgrade for fans like us who like the baked version. The chef really put his whole foot into the Peach Cobbler. It was awesome! You could come just for that and be fully satisfied. But we definitely recommend eating dinner too. The service is your classic Southern friendly service with a smile. Our server knew the menu well and gave great suggestions. Parking is difficult because it's in downtown Nashville. So go with enough time to find a space which might take about 20 to 30 minutes. They also have a small gift shop where you can get hats, t-shirts and the sauce. We'll definitely be coming back to try more items.
So I would love to rate these guys higher than what I did overall service was good atmosphere was nice. The food left a lot to be desired. I got the ribs. They were moist and flavorful, but I felt like the rub that they put on them was coded so much that it took away from the meat. The potato salad was OK. I just didn’t feel like it was anything to write home about the beans were good the barbecue sauce the sweet and the spicy very good. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries again it left a lot to be desired had flavor but just wasn’t again a whole lot to write home about Overall I could really only give them a three when it came to food, but I wouldn’t let my opinion deter you for some. This might be really good for dessert. We got the banana pudding and if you flipped through a lot of the other reviews, you’re gonna see some of the banana pudding that have a ton of the pudding in the bananas in it. I’m not sure what happened with ours if they’ve cut back, but there was very little putting and more whipped cream in ours. I think there might be better places out there for what these guys offer but again it’s just my opinion.
Experience could've been better if our server Victoria wasn't horrendous. The food was excellent but service was very poor. Ordered two appetizers that came out with our food because our server brought out the wrong appetizers first from another order. Upon checkout never was asked for to-go containers so I had to ask for them myself. Would definitely go back for the food and would have to have a different server. Definitely disappointed.
— I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken and it was delicious! 😋🍽️ I didn’t really care for the mashed potatoes that it came with, but I stole my friend’s sweet potatoes fries and those were very good! — Service was a little slow towards the end of our meal, but that’s okay — Noticed at the end that we were given expired beers so that was a bummer
Carly was the one that took care of us she did an awesome job suggested certain things answered all our questions and we enjoyed her being our waitress very friendly helpful. My food just lacked a little salt overall not bad wasn't a big fan of the corn cakes cuz they felt a little gummy atmosphere is very nice it's relaxing inviting and cozy. I didn't understand the downtown tags that was new for me but don't agree with it and because of that probably won't be a big fan of eating downtown paying an extra tax for what I don't understand.
Not one of the meats had any smokey flavor and were dry. I ‘m sure it’s all baked. No smoke rings on the brisket, stringy pieces of pulled pork, dry turkey that was probably heated on a grill top, and sausage heated on one side but skin side was raw. The chicken was so over baked even the dark meat was dry. Baked beans were blah. How do you screw up baked beans? This place was filthy. The silverware was dirty and I asked for a clean set for myself and daughter. The next set was just as dirty so our waitress threw plastic ware on the table saying it all comes from the same dishwasher. Server was extremely rude. At one point she threw plates on our table for a shared starter and it was so loud even she was taken aback. Every question we had for her she seemed to take as a personal assault. The person who seated us never said a word to us. He later blocked my way leaving while sweeping the floor. Really?, during a lunch? Can you say… sanitation classes may be in order here. The rest of the staff were also standing around in the back gossiping it up. So, bad food, terrible service, poor sanitation. Put the X on that door.
What a disappointment. The family did Puckett’s in Franklin for Turkey Day 2024 and the experience was phenomenal with fresh tasty food, a great atmosphere and an overall great holiday experience. Fast forward to 2025 and we thought we’d do a repeat for the holiday feast. Wow what a mistake. The food was disgusting with most of it cold and tasting like it came out of a can. The service staff was overwhelmed and stressed and the kitchen could not keep up. The table next to us arrived before us and had not received their food until we were getting ready to leave. And they had not fed their wait staff at all for the holiday which is unheard of. We all felt ill later in the day because of the food quality. Definitely won’t be going back.
Ordered a pulled pork sandwich w/ mac-and-cheese as a side to go. Now I know why Uber Eats was giving these away as a 2-for-1. Even though clearly nothing was made fresh, it still took them forever to “make” it The pulled pork was clearly multiple days old and had spent all that time under a heat lamp as I’ve had jerky that wasn’t this dry. Insult to injury, they didn’t offer any sauce for this Sahara desert of pulled pork. The Mac and cheese didn’t fare much better. It can be best described as only a small step above Kraft Mac and Cheese (the blue box) and definitely not something I would ever pay for. I would say they need to fire their chef(s) but clearly they already have. Nobody in that kitchen has an ounce of talent or self-respect
