Beautiful decor, super friendly staff from the front door to the waiter. Delicious food! The sauces and seasonings were spot on. Even had a kids menu!!! Loved the seating with booth and chairs. Bathroom decor was spot on what i would imagine for Maneet Chauhan. Parking was at the whole foods grocery store and was crazy busy so hard to find a spot. Still cost $13 with validation at the restaurant. Then we walked the block and saw they had parking near restaurant. If it isn’t a busy time i would just park there instead.

This atmosphere here is soooo nice. Quiet environment even with lots of people here having conversations. Mitchell was my server and he had great recommendations of the menu. We were a party of 6, we all had speciality drinks quickly and our food quick. The quality of the food is definitely top notch. I ordered the Bloody Mary and the bird is the word with the homemade hot cause. It was sooooo delicious. There were no bones in the thighs so very easy to eat. My sister got the So Sophisticated with gluten free modifications and the flavors are amazing together. Others got the Mac n cheese, belly of the beast, tots el tio fun!, Brussels spouts and wedge salads. Everyone had a great experience and loved their food. Definitely will come back when we are back in Nashville.

We came for Valentine's Day dinner and it did not disappoint! I had an expresso martini and the Lobster mac off the special menu, both were superb! The waiter we had was super nice as well! Definitely will be back every trip to Nashville!

Drink, Food, and Staff on point. We'll definitely return. Only thing we disliked was gratuity is already included in the bill. Even though it was on the bill. The server should have pointed it out. Especially after a few of their amazing drinks.

I’ve been here twice and it was fabulous both times. The burger is top notch and I had the best scrambled eggs I’ve eaten here. Service is friendly and the place is super cute.

Great food and drinks. Our server was from our hometown and he was an absolute delight. The brie bites and bloody Mary were exceptional

Had brunch at The Mockingbird today and loved the creative menu, fun drinks, and tasty food. Our server was great, and surprisingly, it was pretty quiet for a Saturday at 10:30 a.m.—though it started picking up by the time we left. I ordered the Chicken and Biscuits, which was a standout. Crispy chicken, fluffy biscuits, and smothered in a savory, slightly spicy gravy that pulled everything together. My wife had the Pork Belly Fried Rice—the pork belly was crispy and caramelized, and the rice had a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. We also shared a side of Tater Tots with truffle aioli—crispy, salty, and the aioli was rich and delicious. And don’t sleep on the drinks—Punch in a Bag was both hilarious and genuinely good. Boozy, fruity, and served in a Capri Sun-style pouch. Super fun and perfect brunch energy. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a playful yet legit-delicious brunch spot in downtown Nashville.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for Valentine’s Day, and it was a lovely experience. The atmosphere was beautiful, with charming romantic touches that were perfect for the occasion. The upstairs seating area was particularly stunning, and having a bar on each floor helped minimize wait times for cocktails. The appetizers stood out as a highlight of the meal; they were unique and packed with flavor. While we found the entrees to be enjoyable, we both felt they were somewhat bland in comparison to the appetizers. Despite this, we agreed that we would definitely consider coming back to try more items from the menu. Overall, it was a nice dining experience.

This restaurant came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! Our server, Bart, was fantastic and was a great host. Our food was beyond delicious - we had the chicken & biscuit, breakfast sandwich with impossible sausage, cinnamon roll and the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had!!

What a little gem of a place in an unexpected area. Staff is very friendly. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Attention to detail in the dishes. We had the pork belly fried rice and the Cuban sandwich. Also had one of the punch bowl drinks made with fresh blackberry puree. Inside is super cute and cozy.

Came here for brunch our last day in Nashville. We’d passed by a few nights prior and noted how nice it looked. I was thrilled to see that they did brunch on Fridays. The food is SO good. Our server was really nice and helpful. The portions are great. My friend ordered the breakfast taco with shrimp and it was HUGE. We shared the giant cinnamon bun, also huge, and hella good. I got the tuna sandwich and avocado toast. We both had bubbles in a bag for our drink. The menu options are creative and fun. The interior is beautiful and well thought out. I’d definitely come back. Great food, service, and value.

I could have eaten 1000 of those donuts!!! They were so buttery and light, sweet but not too sweet…literal perfection! The sausage was super tasty! Everything was flavorful and fresh! I want them to mail me some donuts. Solid place for brunch!!

Our first visit was Super Bowl Sunday and the place was very slow so we got prompt service and the food was great. I'd eat the bratwurst corndog daily if I could! The wife ordered the fried chicken and I got the burger! Mockingbird really delivers on their mission if upscale diner fare. The burger is one of the best I've found in Nashville. The fried chicken was great but the gravy was the real star of the dish! The piece of cake for dessert was over the top, delicious, and did not suck! We returned to have dessert after dining next door and got the nutty nanner pie, again a hit! We'll be back again soon!

Came here for the first time with a group of friends and we all ordered the burger. It was so delicious! I changed my side for Brussel sprout which were incredible and for the punch bag we all got it with different types of alcohol. I got vodka in mine while others chose gin. Everything was so good, I wish I could have tried every single side! We all also shared the truffle fries, those were gone in just two minutes flat! They were cooked perfectly! Can’t wait to try this place again! Make sure you make a reservation if you plan to come here on a weekend though.

Had a great time at our late lunch! Greated warmly by the friendly and attentive staff. Menu item names were a hoot, very punny! Answers to menu questions and recommendations from our waiter helped us pick food that hit the spot. So good! We will definitely be back!

Food here was really good. Large portions and great selection. I have the Pork Belly Fried Rice and my husband had the Flock yeah. We also had both the bagel bombs and cinnamon rolls as an app. I thought the bagel bombs were AMAZING. Wasn’t in love with the cinnamon rolls but that’s mainly because I don’t love a cream cheese icing.

Took a nice weekend trip to Nashville for July 4th and Mocking bird was the best brunch I had while down there. I ordered the taco of the town. It was huge but I still managed to finish it. I also tried the Kiss My Grits and added bacon. It was good however, I think the grits could be a bit thicker. I tried the walking dead and an old fashion. Both drinks were surprisingly tasty and balanced my experience was great!

We made a reservation for 5:00 and arrived about 15 minutes early, but we were still sat right away. The ambience was incredible. It’s a super cute place, romantic lighting in the evening, very cozy. I didn’t get our server’s name but they were wonderful, very friendly and attentive (we were there on 11/18/22 around 5 o’clock and they had bright pink nails, I wish I knew their name!) The food surpassed my expectations. We got the spinach dip and it was the best I’ve ever had. The chips that came with it were pretty stale, but the pita was good. The fried chicken with chorizo gravy was delicious and the portion was huge.

Always delicious!! The service is wonderful. I always get the juice box. It’s so fun! My dining partner got an espresso martini type of drink, which was delicious. The burrata appetizer was delicious and the grilled cheese appetizer was, too. The peanut butter banana mousse dessert is to die for!!

This restaurant was absolutely impressive! 🤩 The food was incredible & creative, service was top-notch, and the interior design is some of the nicest & well implemented I’ve ever seen in any restaurant. Everything was so beautifully put together from the patio area, to the bar, all the way down to the restrooms. I got a mockingburger and fries, perfectly cooked, and a bratwurst corndog which was a deliciously creative idea. Some friends I was with ordered cocktails, not quite sure what they were but also good. It’s also in a convenient location. Right in a developing section by the Gulch district with a great view of downtown. Overall this establishment is one of the finest representation of what Nashville’s culinary seen has offer, which is saying a lot because Nashville has many great restaurants.

The mockingbird is cozy and intimate. The spinach and artichoke dip was the best I’ve ever had. It was fresh and flavorful. Now the chocolate chip cookie and ice cream completely stole the show! Totally unrelated to the food but the bathrooms are the cutest.

I will never be able to truly write down how I adored everything about this establishment. I started with a "Cuba en Fuego" as my cocktail and "Don't Worry Brie Happy" As a starter which were both a complete delight with a combination I've never experienced, and the Mini grilled cheese were far from anything you would ever imagine. The tastes were like no other. I appreciate anything new and different and these were a great way to start my night. I followed with the "Seoul Purpose" which presented beautifully with steak so tender and seasoned to perfection. I would recommend this place for anyone craving a quieter atmosphere and a meal that won't compare to most others. The food was reasonably priced as I would have definitely not scoffed at paying above the price I did. Thanks to my server Mitchell who took the time to tell me about the restaurants history, dishes and drinks. He definitely added the extra touch of class. Truly the atmosphere and staff were above and beyond my expectations and although I prefer continually trying new establishments I may just revisit to try some.other the other options as they all were extremely appealing. Oh I also had a "Mockingbird Margarita" and the Brussel sprouts which were also not just ordinary but extraordinary. Thank you to The Mockingbird crew for making my first night and meal in Nashville a memorable and kind experience.

We stopped by last night for an early birthday dinner for my partner. They had a birthday card waiting for them. Mitchell was our staff member for the evening and he was great! Great sense of humor, kept us updated on our order, and made sure we had everything we needed. The owner, Mikey Corona, even popped by at one point to say hi. The atmosphere was a little bit loud but I think that's because of the closeness of the tables. The restaurant is not very large. Due to the size, I would highly recommend a reservation. I had the "Jen & Juice" to drink which was phenomenal. My partner had the "Tequila Mockingbird" which had a delicious smokey flavor from the Mezcal. We split a "Love me at your Wurst" which may have been a corndog but it was damn good! Mix the stone ground mustard and the spicy ketchup together. Trust me. They had "Bird is the Word" for dinner and I had "Pasta La Vista with Pancetta". Everything was absolutely delicious!!! I will also say that The Mockingbird is LGBTQ+ friendly. We decided to eat here based solely on a 2021 article in The Tennessean. We felt incredibly welcomed and safe which is rare in this state. We will absolutely be back!!!

Ate here twice in two days because it was so excellent. They have a great blackberry mixer for mimosas that I enjoyed a lot more than the classic OJ. The shareable brie with chimichurri was incredible. I believe our server’s name was Yas and he really treated our group as if he were hosting us in his home. Refused to let us pour any of our own water or champagne, was extremely friendly and helped all of us modify our entrees to our liking. He was also very mindful of our dietary restrictions, steering us in his favorite directions while keeping our particular limitations in mind. It’s obvious that quality food is a passion of his even outside of work. Almost everything on the menu is vegetarian or can be made vegetarian. Healthy, delicious food at very fair prices. If you’re in the gulch, don’t miss this one.

When you want an all time classic done in a creative way, then you should consider going for dinner in Mockingbird where the chef creatively turns classics like a simple fried chicken or short rib into a fantastic gourmet meal! Very delicious and the drinks were phenomenal as well!!

Such a great and welcoming vibe! We came on a late Sunday afternoon and it seemed like we missed the busy brunch crowd. I had the "those buns though" (GIANT cinnamon roll loaf essentially) it was soooo good. Warm, delicious and a HUGE portion, definitely more than enough to share. I then ordered the "taco the town" and it was also a large portion and super good. To drink I had the punch of the day that was served like an adult capri sun. Our server was super attentive and sweet and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and to serve. Would definitely recommend!

I don’t usually write reviews, but the food and service at Mockingbird last night truly won our hearts. The spinach dip and their “Don’t Worry Brie Happy” grilled cheese were absolutely delicious! I had the salmon for my main course, and it was cooked perfectly. We also had one of the best servers ever- Deep. he was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. Despite managing several large parties on a busy night, he made us feel genuinely cared for. Plus, he had great energy (and yes, he was pretty handsome too!). We’ll definitely be coming back both for the amazing food and for Deep!

My boyfriend and I came for a Valentines dinner tonight and we had the best time. Our server Trey made our experience so enjoyable! He was attentive and kind and I would def recommend this spot!

Amazing experience! The decor is gorgeous, with a vintage vibe. The food was excellent (was there for brunch, getting the breakfast taco, and fried chicken), but the real star was the service. They truly above and beyond with a very hospitality-forward approach. The team there all super friendly and upbeat. After finding out it was my b'day weekend, they made sure to go out of their way to make it a memorable meal.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Experience at Mockingbird! Mockingbird was absolutely incredible! The team here is top-notch Mike, the owner, went above and beyond to make our visit truly special. Trey and the entire staff were welcoming, attentive, and made us feel like VIPs from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The food was outstanding, the drinks were perfect, and the overall experience was one of the best we’ve had in Nashville. If you’re visiting the city, this is a must-try spot. Highly, highly recommend!

Menu was well thought out. Brie grilled cheese bites were amazing, pasta was perfectly cooked, and the Brussels were delicious(though on the sweeter side). Pork belly was good but I think I would have liked it spicier(personal preference of course), and the tater tots were heavenly. Our server was incredibly welcoming and Jen, and her Jen and Juice, were both balanced and sweet.

🍽️The Mockingbird – Nashville’s Modern Diner With a Sweet Surprise 🍰✨ If you’re looking for a playful, modern twist on comfort food in Nashville, The Mockingbird will catch your attention right away. My friends and I stopped in for a light dinner, so we ordered several appetizers instead of full entrées — every single one was good. Creative flavors, beautiful presentation, and bold seasoning made it such a fun tasting experience. But the real star of the night? 👉 The “Oh My Pie.” This dessert absolutely stole the show. Creamy, dreamy, perfectly balanced, and unbelievably good — the kind of pie that makes you stop mid-conversation and just savor the moment. If you try one thing here, let it be the Oh My Pie. Fun Fact: The Mockingbird is known for its globally inspired “modern diner” concept created by celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan and chef Brian Riggenbach — so expect creative dishes, playful names, and food with personality. Service & Atmosphere: Friendly, energetic, and fun. A great spot for date night, small bites, or a casual meal before exploring Nashville. Small plates were tasty… but that pie was unforgettable! Try it once, and you’ll understand why they called it “Oh My Pie.” ❤️🤤

Let me just lead off this review, being a mac and cheese fanatic and self-named expert, that their mac and cheese is literally to die for. I mean it. Go for it alone and the rest of the stuff can fall in line. The energy of the place was great, and I even Shazammed some of their songs for future listening pleasure. Odd songs that added to the energy of the place but that were unique and not your usual background songs. Our bartender was great initially and very welcoming. I didn't get a picture, as I didn't want to weird folks out, but the patio area was cool too. The drink and food prices were awesome during happy hour. $6 drinks, and food specials too. They have a house-made hot sauce that was incredible. The only reason I give this place a 4 is because the service tailed off dramatically near the end of hh. We wanted to try the delicious looking fries, and the grilled cheese (which I am also a self-named expert), but never got our order in before the end of hh, as the bartender got busy with patio tables. I still definitely recommend, we will be going back during our next Nashville visit (if only for the mac and cheese), and see you there...

Fusion cuisine. Flavorful dishes. The chef cooked to our personal requests. Allie, our server was very friendly and helpful. She made it as a great dining experience for us. Desserts are special and worth trying.

not what I was expecting. Just ok. the fries are a little over spiced in my opinion. and the Cuban does not compare to something you would find in Miami.

What a fun gem to find while on vacation. Our server was friendly and helpful. Great personality. Cute decor. Creative menu items. The huge doughnut was soft and fluffy. We also ordered the taco which was highly recommended, but since my friends and I were sharing, the server offered to have the kitchen make small tacos instead of the super large one. I think it would have been better the way the restaurant intended it. We also ordered the BLT, but it was nothing special. The last item we ordered the Hot Brown. It was the best dish, but don’t expect a classic Kentucky Hot Brown.

Cute little spot. The wait was a bit long, but probably because there was a concert the weekend I was there and there were lots of people around in general. They have an outside patio that had umbrellas to help shade the area. The decorations were pretty. The food was yummy, but I think I was more hungry than anything. Although, the cinnabun dish was delicious. Coffee option wasn't what I thought (cold brew from a can). They have a sign to park at Whole Foods, but you need to make a purchase to validate your parking ticket (and it is only for 2 hours).

This was a great way to close out our weekend trip to Nashville a couple weeks back. Very different vibe than the hectic downtown spots, and featured very good food, solid service, and cool decor. Parking was odd (you need to park in the Whole Foods garage around the block and walk back vs in the immediately adjacent lot) but that was about it. We started with Da' Bomb (Cream cheese-scallion stuffed bagel bombs, everything spice) and while they didn't quite justify its name, they were pretty good. My daughter and niece both had the French toast with whipped cream and a berry compote and she enjoyed it quite a bit, it was well made. My wife had the Taco the Town (Egg potato, MB Chorizo, flour tortilla taco, beans, cilantro, salsa verde, cheddar) and it was very tasty as well, especially the salsa verde. For my entree, I ordered the coveted Hot Brown (open faced hot brown inspired from Kentucky, heirloom tomato, turkey, gruyere/manchego/cheddar cheese, fried egg, bacon) and I was not disappointed. I even got it without the turkey because it felt like a bit too much, and what remained was very satisfying. If I lived there, I am sure I'd order this all the time so it's a good thing for my cholesterol that I don't. Damn it was tasty. Didn't try a cocktail but from what I saw at the bar, they looked quite good too. Definitely a place to try if you're in town.

Bubbles in a bag was good but had too much ice. Zucchini bread was amazing. The cinnamon roll/loaf was delicious. The burger was good. The hot brown with no bacon was super good. Nice hidden gem for a last minute brunch date.

S
Stephanie Newell

Beautiful decor & excellent service. Unfortunately, the eggs were the absolute worst we have ever tasted- runny/wet with odd consistency- possibly a powder mix. Bacon was fairly burnt but fine & the side of fruit was 2 orange wedges which more of a garnish not to be boasted on the menu item description.

C
Chris Cook

Some of the staff was friendly, including our waitress and the person answering questions on the phone. Others that were running food out to the table were not as friendly. The food was okay to good. The fancy sauce for the The Mockingburger was explained as being like thousand island dressing but it was spicier than that and over powered the flavor of the burger. The menu is somewhat eclectic, so it was a little disappointing the “safer” option wasn’t that safe. If you don’t like spicy, skip the fancy sauce. That’s a Piece O’Cake was good. Rice, Rice Baby was good as well. Don’t Worry, Brie Happy was okay. The Seoul Purpose steak was a little undercooked to the person that was eating it. The egg and waffle on it was said to be tasty though. There is only paid parking nearby. This place takes reservations. If you do not like to adventure with your taste buds, this may not be the place for you.

S

My boyfriend & I came for Valentine’s Day. I did read the recent reviews, but I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. We think there may have been a slight plating/timing issue within the kitchen. His mashed potatoes were cold & his chicken was hot (Bird is the Word), and my noodles were cold in the center but hot on the outside (Pasta La Vista). Also, my plate was piping hot. I would hate to think it was microwaved, but I’ve watched enough Hell’s Kitchen to know a piping hot plate and lukewarm food may hint at that. The seasoning was there, and our server was trying his best. We did not want to make his night more difficult by complaining. For $89 (this does include a 20% gratuity), I would not say it was worth it.

J
Juan Miquel

We met some friends there for dinner tonight. The reviews seemed to be positive overall but I believe people have just accepted poorly prepared food and tend to give higher ratings than a restaurant desires. The starters were really good. We had the Don’t Worry Brie Happy and the Keepin it Rio. The mains were not good. We had 2 - 6oz Hanger Steaks (the meat was a little tough and overcooked. The kimchi and rice which came with it were palatable at best). The Pasta La Vista with Chili Crunch Crab was just okay but salty. The NY Prime Strip was tough, overcooked, and had gristle. The sauce on it was extremely salty. I guess when you put a sauce on a steak one should stay away from it. Steaks, when cooked appropriately, don’t need sauce on it. We had the Mac and Cheese side which was good but not spectacular. The waiter provided above average service and kept the glasses filled and things moving. When you go out with friends, you’re not usually going to send your food back to be done correctly or even made more palatable. Because of this, you end up tolerating a sub-par meal in order to have an enjoyable evening with friends. Also, be aware that they automatically add a 20% gratuity. They say on their menu they will automatically add it for a party of 6 or more. However, they added it to our bill for a party of 4. Of course, they then ask you if you want to do an additional tip. Not an appropriate way to do business. A gratuity is given based on service, experience, and meal preparation. And, if you state it’s for 6 or more, then it’s a known. However, if you do it for any number without it being known upfront, that’s just robbery knowing that it doesn’t matter about service, experience, and meal preparation. But, for a $300 plus meal, you need to go somewhere else where the food is much better. We have dined in over 20 countries and all but two states; I’ve had much better meals at Cracker Barrel for a lot less money. I wish we had gone somewhere else this evening.

Mockingbird is an apt name, as going in at the beginning of the meal had all the ambience and taste and care of a nice restaurant but eventually showed its true colors. Virgin punch and virgin mary drinks were wonderful. Grilled Brie sandwich appetizer was great. However, as the meal went on we did not see our server for 15-20 minutes at a time. The steak ordered medium rare came out overcooked with only the slightest tinge of pink. And the Brussels came out pretty plain, only to find later that all the drizzle had gone to the bottom of the bowl and we didn't taste it until we were almost done. Factor in validated parking and it was about $175 for two people with no alcohol. Not worth the cost in my opinion.

E
Erin K

Maybe I have high standards since I moved here from Chicago, but I thought it was just ok. Tuna poke app was lacking some flavor, pork belly app was pretty good, but hard not to be when it’s crsipy pork doused in soy sauce. Pesto bucatini entree was alright. Service was good. Ambiance was nice, booth seats were uncomfortable. Wine had cork floating in it. Overall felt like it was trying to be fancy, but was kinda cheap feeling?

N
Nicole Shipman

It’s a beautiful place and has a nice vibe to it. My husband and I went there for brunch, and we felt immediately rushed by our server. The menu options are all a play on words with most of the items, you need to read the description to see what you are getting. I was overwhelmed with the server coming over every 2-3 minutes asking if we were ready, when I wasn’t. Feeling rushed, I just ordered something quickly for her sake. I have bad anxiety and hated to keep bothering our waitress. The restaurant wasn’t busy, either. Food was subpar. The cinnamon rolls with cream cheese is delicious! I wasn’t a fan of my meal due to lack of knowledge and being rushed. The sausage and eggs with a slice of cheese looked straight out of a holiday express free breakfast buffet (no joke). I’m sure the place is much more suited for dinner entrees, but brunch did not meet the mark for me and the service really was disappointing.

The menu is different from the last time I was there. It used to be witty, clever and everything I had up until my visit this past Saturday was delicious. So new menu, nothing I recognized and no fun descriptors. So I asked the bartender about the Frito Misto as I love all the components as described. He said it wasn't his favorite as he's not a oyster lover. Well I am so I ordered it. It came really quickly and I was kind of surprised at how dark the fry was. I thought it might just be the spices in the breading, but when I cut into the first nugget (it was caulifower) it was truly very thick and way over cooked. The cauliflower pactically disintegragted when I pierced it with the fork. I was super trepidatious now to try the oyster, which again was indicernable from the rest of the dark crusty chunks. Just like the cauliflower, it was just a heavy fatty tasting blob. The green beans beans were limp like noodles with no flaovr at all. When the bartender checked in with me, I told him I was put off by how dark the fry was and was thinking maybe it would be more like a light tempura crunch. I couldn't finish it. I was sad that I had eaten as much as I did. I asked for a beer to cleanse my pallet and wash away the greasy coating on my tongue. I am sad for the whole experience, especially when I had some entertaining yummy memories in the past.

Tasteless on 2 occasions. Their pastas are dry. Steak sauce lacked flavor profile. Atmosphere is nice if you want casual American dining otherwise, wasn’t worth it both times.

M
Mike Wazermacalit

Online the vibe seemed more art deco, unfortunately it was more 2015 inspired by art deco. Design needed and update and food needed more humble prices. Fourteen dollars for one Avocado toast (we thought it was a shareable app). Service ignored us for the most part but food came out quickly. The aesthetic was what would've made up for the price but it was not worth it. If you want to go to a restaurant named after a bird try the Finch across the street.

I am extremely disappointed to leave this review. We planned our trip to Nashville around dinner at the Mockingbird, and we were so excited about our visit. We made reservations, and our table was available upon arrival. The atmosphere is very inviting, and the restaurant is very clean. We ordered two appetizers to begin our meal. We ordered the “keeping it rio” Brazilian rolls. The presentation was not impressive and the rolls were very dry. The hot honey condiment made them edible, but we would never order them again. The waiter even told us he didn’t think they were very good, but he never offered us a substitute. We ordered the “tio fin tots” which offered a fun play on tater tots. The portion was generous, but unfortunately that is where the accommodations end. The dish promised pork and pineapple. We only had one bit of pineapple in the dish, and the pork was minimal. It was basically a plate of tater tops with onions. Not an appetizer to even be on the menu at a high quality restaurant. Certainly not worth the price. Our waiter was not engaging and he failed to keep our drinks filled. We were frequently having to ask for assistance to get refills throughout our entire meal. The odd thing is that he brought us refills after we paid for our meal. At that point, we were completely done eating and we didn’t need a drinks. He never asked us if we were pleased with our meal or offer alternates when he say that we didn’t eat the appetizers or our steaks. He was more focused on hanging with his peers in the server area. We both ordered the prime New York strip which is the most expensive menu item. When the steaks arrived, it was evident that this steak was not a quality cut of meat on either of our plates. The steak was overcooked, tough, and it had a ton of gristle in it which made it impossible to chew. The steak was very thin and it did not look appetizing. My wife only ate 1/4 of her steak and I was able to eye over half of mine. The steak had no flavor and the sauce was extremely bland. I can not express my disappoint on our meal or our experience. We would have likely sent our food back due to being disappointed on our special trip, but the table next to us sent back every item on their order I felt bad, but we were so disappointed. Our experience did not match the reviews or the expectations for this restaurant. Out of all the options in Nashville to eat, we chose here and it completely let us down.
