Burger and Sushi Koya & Grill

Don’t let the outside location fool you, you’re about to let your tastebuds drift away to the land of flavor. Was a bit slow to get started but as they say good things come to those who wait. That food was certified platinum. Lobster tempura, classic. Crispy brussel sprouts were A1. The snapper with the jalapeño salsa was fantastically delicious. The crispy quail stole the show. Certified slap.

Went there for dinner on August 1st 22 at 5:15. The staff was very polite our server whose name escapes me at the moment made our first dine in experience a 10/10 experience. The Mt.Fuji and Reef Conch rolls were the BEST sushi rolls ive ever had and im not a even a huge fan of sushi. Our server also suggested the speciality drinks we got The Enraged Emporer, Japanese Royalty,The Geisha and The Ginger Nomu which were by far the most tasiest and different cocktails me and my date has ever had. OVERALL a 10/10 experience cant wait to go back really wished i remembered my servers name he was awesome shoutout to the bar team and the sushi chefs as well.

My family and I went here for Father’s Day lunch last year and they seriously impressed us. The food was so delicious. The burger I ordered was hands down in my top 3 best burgers I’ve ever had. The fries with the garlic aioli sauce was chefs kiss. I got to try some of the spicy tuna rolls (Uramaki) and that was also delicious. My niece ordered the noodles and loved it. The drinks we ordered were very delicious. The service was great. And the ambiance was very nice. Low lighting and intimate despite the open seating floor plan. The decor and menu was very Japanese style meets Bahamian. I 100% recommend a visit. Note: Restaurant is cashless.

Pleasantly surprised, as the exterior is deceiving. We had a party of 18, the food was all even better than the pictures, and the service was friendly and attentive. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. We had sushi, burgers, ribs and rice bowls, so just about every variety on the menu. Save room for dessert, the Guava Duff and the Chocolate Lava Cake were favorites. Our server helped us with calling out taxi and continually had a smile and friendly attitude. Definitely recommend!

Really nice ambiance staff is courteous and helpful. Bartender is awesome she answered all our questions both she and our server was very attentive and always checked back to see if everything was ok

Bask has never let me down. Food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent. My sister's and I each ordered a separate roll and the presentation was so immaculate. The Lutra roll was the best out of the three in my opinion because of the taste of the pineapple.

This place was a gem. Food was tasty excellent and came out fast . Jazz was playing omg amazing. Service top notch our waiter was so friendly and attentive . Presentation omg that’s what had me in awe. It’s so refreshing to experience good service and food in Nassau I was utterly pleased I would be back again and again

Just wow. I dined in for the 1st time on Friday...excellent service, wait staff is knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, food is beautifully presented and most importantly it tastes sooo good.

The food was excellent! The service was superb! The atmosphere was split.....the walls were nice, but the furniture was cafeteria, and the table was not leveled. Overall, I had a great time. I wish I had come earlier to really enjoy it, but it was near closing time. I always ordered take-out or Kraven. This was my first sit-in meal.

We are not the easiest family when it comes to food. This was beyond our expectations and deserves more than 4.4. Service and food were excellent. We had a burger, multiple rolls, tuna tataki, and a vegan burger. Plus the yuzu lemonade was amazing.

Upon my arrival to bask I noticed the parking lot was full, but i was able to get a parking spot right away. When I walked inside, it was a completely different atmosphere, from the wall art to the hanging lanterns, they even had art on the ceiling. You can really tell they put a lot of effort into the design and aesthetics of the restaurant. They did have a hostess. Our sever was Ednisha who was very helpful, in explaining our item that we ordered as they came out. She was very helpful and brought our meals out piece by piece, as they were ready. I assume that’s their standard as their food range isn’t that large and they had lots of takeout orders as well from what I observed. Overall our service was good! The drinks were average, as it relates to their presentation and flavor. The wow factor for the night was the sushi boat and the lamb rack! All of the food items presentation was very nice. I will definitely be back and hope that I can be wowed by something else.

The look of the restaurant was A+. Very clean. Menu is packed. Food was good. Definitely would come back for some chicken fried rice ! Waiter was good until time to pay she was hovering over us to see if we’d press TIP and when we ask a question she didn’t answer and quickly dismissed us because we decided not to tip. Other than that ending the outting was great. We will ignore her and go back again to try more things.

BASK was good for me. We went there for my sons graduation dinner. We were a party of 7. I enjoyed the food. Wasn't crazy about the Calamari 3/5. However, the Sushi was excellent 5/5( Shrimp Tempura and Reef Conch Roll ) , and we also had their burgers, which were juicy and delicious 5/5. The mix fried rice I loved 5/5, and the wings were very good with a kick of spiciness to it 5/5. I love trying restaurants' signature drinks, so I tried their "Elegant Geisha" loved It 😍. It was not only tasty but beautiful a real female pleaser. Our server Sherma was excellent and gave great recommendations for us try. My only thing is I don't feel it's ideal size wise for a large party, the inside to me is a little small. I would definitely go back again, but just to hang with a few friends for drinks and sushi.

Delightful surprise upon walking inside - polite staff, cute decor, art, good music, good drinks and honestly, very impressive sushi. Excellent turnaround time for a quick bite at this hour (5pm). Casual atmosphere and families welcomed. Great spot 😍 thank you for a great meal.

Food was to die for. The menu has some unique twist on old Asian favorites. The burgers was juicy and delicious.The prices were very affordable. Beautiful bar area, the only thing was the lighting is very bright and the music was a little loud therefore you could not really talk during dinner. The restaurant is kinda small and there is no outside dining due to it being located in a shoppping plaza. However, I would definitely would try them again.

Very clean, spot and upscale looking for the location. Staff acknowledgement is there, friendly and attentive. The food is great and doesn’t take long to get to your table once order is placed. Atmosphere is almost of a bar setting but not so loud to the point you have to shout to have a convo. Drinks come quickly and tastes awesome. COVID-19 protocol is enforced as per their online site stating proof of vaccination is to be presented with id and they are cashless fyi. Overall great spot to just grab a drink at the bar, grab appetizers or go all the way for the full meal. Loveeeeeeed the chocolate lava cake!! 😊😊😋😋😋

Bask is my go to sushi place! I don't think I've had a bad experience with the food. I've been here at least 20x. The service is a hit or miss, though. Sometimes the sever can be super fast, others... painfully slow, BUT always with a pleasant attitude and smile. They added some octopus rolls to the menu, which personally I'm not a fan of. At least the mango octopus roll. There are two more I need to try.

This is a hidden gem in the most unlikely place of town, yet it offers the ambience and experience that could only be found at an exclusive 5 star resort. It has great food....o' sorry .... great "cusine" at affordable prices. Once tried once, this place would soon be your favorite spot. The only downside is parking, because it is in a plaza sharing spaces with other businesses. There is also room for improvement when it comes to top tier sanitization.

The food and the atmosphere was great. I had the beef bento box and the the steak was really tender and sweet. I buy bento boxes often and I would say that this is one of the better ones sold over here

It's got a nice atmosphere with good service. I ordered take-out for a late night snack and got the tuna ceviche, which was less traditional with seasoning, but the tuna was delicious. Slightly pricey for the value, but still quite yummy!

Not the best photos but this turkey burger was superb. I Just have to remember next time to tell them no bacon. Can't wait to try it again 😋 😩

*First time dining experience- Sunday* Service: 4.5 - recovery: 5 - hospitable attitude from team members: 4 - our server (Nyeisha?): 4.5 ONLY because we slightly felt forgotten for a period but otherwise she was attentive, personable, helpful and proved to be a great resource in navigating the menu items Food: 4.5 - portions: 5 Drinks: 5 Ambiance: 5 Spicy Brussel sprouts- I will NEVER eat this but I ate it here lol and I like it- I LOVED IT once I covered them in the remaining chili sauce from my sister's gyoza as I hated my dipping sauce 🥰 Spicy tuna crispy 🍚- it looked horrible because I don't like raw food much but with our server prompting me that I should try it, I did and I'm glad I did. It was amazing❣ Canton noodles with chicken added was just okay- I could smell the flavor but it didn't translate to my tastebuds at all Bread pudding: 😍😍😍😍 absolutely amazing 👏 Drink specials Sundays and Mondays and we indulged and they have flavored lemonade and mojitos for non drinkers which was wonderful 🥳🥳 I'll definitely return and try the other items but as of now- I'm full! 🤣

Got the wrong order but...it still had my spicy tuna in it...and that rated amongst the top spicy tuna rolls I had in the Bahamas so far. This next roll looks like a crab something..it's not bad...but also not what I wanted

Great aesthetics, good service and pricing. The food was average but there were highlights: seafood Gyoza was perfect! The shrimp fried rice had more shrimp and vegetables than expected and had a nice smokey flavour. Also, it's a child friendly place but I didn't like that they allowed a child to run barefoot and allowed another child to stand and crawl on the table. It's a food and beverage establishment and they shouldn't allow that.

The service experience was quite poor. We were seated for almost two hours before our food arrived. We were seated around 7:16 pm and received our drinks shortly after. The place was pretty crowded so we were being very patient. After more than an hour the waitress told us that they were trying to complete the takeout orders first then get back to us that were dining in. After receiving and eating my food, my partner’s food still hadn’t come out. At this point it was about 9pm, we asked for his food to be put in takeout plates then left.

Super disappointed in this place. For all the good reviews I was expecting quality. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and it came with a canned tuna and spicy may blend. Not a chunk of tuna that you would expect in a sushi place. I refused the dish. I also ordered another house roll for $20, small portion, that contained tempura shrimp - AND THE SHRIMP WASN'T CLEAN! Disgusting! Imagine paying $20 and they don't even bother to clean the shrimp. On top of everything they automatically add a 15% gratuity AND STILL ask for a tip. Look at your bill and check your food. I would never go back to this place again! I wish I took a photo of the canned tuna roll before sending it back, but I did take a pic of the unclean shrimp.

The true test of any sushi restaurant is based on the judgement of their sashimi quality. And today, BASK failed. I have visited BASK a few times over the years and have had their sashimi which was a decent but lesser quality compared to other restaurants. Today’s fish selection for the sashimi had some good cuts of fish like soft salmon and fresh mackerel, however the other fish like the scallop and the hamachi were not fresh and tried to use lemon to hide an odd taste. This was very disappointing because the last time I had visited the restaurant a few months ago I believed that their sashimi and general fish quality was improving, however today showed this improvement was not consistent. Furthermore, there were other concerning business practices such as being charged more for a tea than what was stated on the menu. I noticed a discrepancy between the price advertised on the menu and the price charged on my receipt. I ordered a tea, but on the receipt it was listed as a coffee that was more expensive than the tea. When brought to the waiter’s attention, they insisted that the tea was $6 despite their menu stating that the tea was $4. While this is not a big price discrepancy, my trust and experience as a customer has been stained.
