AMAZING!!! Our three families (party of 12) wanted a special evening for our pre-Christmas vacation and Graycliff delivered! We were seated outside on the patio under the lights, and it was a perfect evening from a weather standpoint. From the moment we were seated, the staff could not have improved our level of service any more. Water glasses were never empty and the wine and mixed drinks always replenished on time.. There were 12 of us, and I believe we ordered nine different dishes so we definitely sampled a good portion of the menu. Every single person seated at the table said it was one of the best meals of their lives. We finished the evening by ordering three different soufflé versions, and it was the perfect end to our meal. Before we left the restaurant, they were gracious enough to give us a tour of the amazing wine cellar. Then, we went upstairs to enjoy a final drink while listening to the piano player. Several of us also enjoyed one of the hand-rolled cigars. For a special evening, I cannot think of a better restaurant. Highly, highly recommend!!
The great cliff restaurant has a really cool atmosphere. It’s really a fun place to eat. The service and food were top-notch. It was within an easy walking distance of the port and downtown. It’s on a really cool street with fun umbrellas hanging from the road. This place is definitely worth going to. The bathrooms were very nice as well.
I had an extremely great time here at this restaurant. I got to sing songs with the piano man and have the most awesome time! I gotta say the food was really good, but the prices are insanely expensive! But you get what you pay for! I would highly suggest this place!
A wife pleasing surprise. Beautiful, historic, romantic, and doable walk for even the hip replacement crowd. We arrived a wee bit early and strolled the garden at the pleasant maitre’d suggestion. Keith graciously managed our experience of delicious sandwiches and sweets. We had French press and a fruity Caribbean tea. agraciously.
The restaurant is definitely a special occasion restaurant. It’s classic old world charm with excellent service. We had so many people tending to us that I couldn’t keep track, but Lock-something (I forgot his name) and the bus boy (his name starts with a “C”) stood out! We ordered the following: Seafood medley in bechamel sauce Cheese and truffle purses with butter, sage and truffle oil 10 oz grilled filet of antibiotic free prime beef, red wine reduction and Bernaise sauce Slow oven roasted crisp duck in a Bahamian citrus sauce escoffier Mashed potatoes Creamed spinach Guava souffle Graycliff Bahamian bread pudding with vanilla gelato I really enjoyed the seafood medley appetizer and my husband enjoyed his cheese purses. Originally my steak was overdone but it was quickly rectified by the waiter who’s name starts with “Lock”. He was so gracious about the whole thing, which I really appreciated. The duck was excellent. The skin was nice and crispy and the meat was tender! The mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach were also good. The guava souffle was delicious but I wouldn’t order the bread pudding again. It had too many spices for my taste. Overall it was a good meal with excellent service, especially by Lock-whatever his name is. There’s is a $4 charge for sharing appetizers and a $10 charge for sharing an entree. If you don’t eat a lot, it might be worth it. I heard that their wine cellar is outstanding but we only had sparkling water and two diet Cokes. They had an interesting looking mocktail which I would have ordered if I had seen it before I ordered my second Coke. There’s no parking so you have to valet for $10. Remember to bring extra cash for that plus the tip.
I didn't get much to eat here, but what I did have was wonderful and all the food I saw at my table looked great, as well as at the other tables. They do have gluten free bread, but it's just standard sandwich bread. The cocktails are very good, they apparently have their own coffee. The interior and exterior are gorgeous. There is even live music, they have a person playing the piano. Will say that this is a smoking establishment and they even have some one who will roll. Another, highlight for me was the plating, they had such beautiful plates.
A unique experience for a trip to Nassau. I decided to book the afternoon tea. What a lovely way to enjoy the surroundings. Attentive service. A nice presentation of the food for the tea. Beautiful decor to enjoy yourself and take a break from the heat.
Words could not explain the outstanding experience we had at this restaurant tonight. The service was top-notch! We were treated like movie stars. Front the moment we walked in the front door until the moment we left. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, the atmosphere was amazing, and to end the night perfectly; we were offered a private showing from one of the 3rd oldest private wine collections in the world. Not to mention we got to see the oldest bottle of wine in the world. You cannot go to the Bahamas without going to the Graycliff restaurant!! Thank you for making our trip so special!
We had an extra day in port, so we scheduled an Afternoon Tea at Graycliff. Besides the tea, sweet and savories being excellent, the service was just as good. We totally enjoyed the Afternoon Tea in a great setting. I highly recommend the Graycliff for food or lodging.
I came here for New Year’s Eve dinner so it was a treat. It was a hefty dinner price tag, but well worth it. The atmosphere was very cute and quaint. The foie gras, duck, and wagyu were all very delicious and excellent. I also can’t get over their home baked bread with cranberries which was to die for. We ended with the grand marnier soufflé which was more alcoholic than I would’ve liked but still good. I recommend for a special occasion. Ask to see the wine cellar which used to be a prison. Amazing collection of wines! We got a bottle of Pinot noir which was fantastic.
What a terrific experience! Amazing space for afternoon tea! We visited here in the early afternoon during our day-stop in Nassau with Royal Caribbean. We booked the afternoon tea going ahead of our cruise, and we were accommodated with a seating despite arriving ahead of schedule to get out of the summer heat. We were treated to chilled rags to help us cool down, and our orders were taken from their menu. They had a nice selection of teas, and they accommodated my girlfriend being vegetarian by putting together several non-standard tea sandwich offerings for her. All were DELICIOUS!! Moving upward on the tray, the scones, cookies, and desserts were equally good. The hostess and wait staff took great care of us throughout! While the experience was pricey, the food and view overlooking Government House made it worth every penny. Easily the highlight of our day in Nassau. Highly Recommend!
Absolutely amazing authentic colonial era building ambiance with modern culinary with local inspired flair experience. The wine cellar is second to none. Antoine, our server was fantastic, and I have to say, Karen, the manager who I've known the years of visiting, is exceptional!! Highly recommend this very unique experience to all who have time here in Nassau!
Very Nice Atmosphere and Friendly Team. Drinks and Food are nice. Would recommend the Escargots but avoid the soups.
We were on a cruise, and I booked directly with Greycliff for their famous afternoon tea. You pay in advance for the tea and gratuity. Google says it was a 13 minute walk from the cruise pier, but it was really about 30 minutes total since we we had to walk about 3 cruise ship lengths on the pier to exit. I had printed a map before we left home, since we would not have have cell phone service. It felt like a safe walk from the ship to Greycliff. There was a man in the triangular crosswalk selling a few snacks in his stand, and he gave us pointers on where to cross safely. We arrived an hour early. Derrick, the host greeted us warmly and graciously invited us to take a walk in the garden or sit in the sitting room area while we waited until the kitchen opened and then he would be glad to seat us early. We walked down the stairs to the garden, past the moss covered statues, to the pretty mosaic pool. There was a fish pond with koi and turtles, and I sat on a padded chair to watch the tall bamboo sway in the breeze. 30 minutes before our 12:30 pm reservation, we checked back, and Derrick gave us a lovely table with a view of the Governor's house. This mansion dating back to 1726 retains its charming, historic elegance where royalty and celebrities have dined and stayed. Major, our waiter, was warm, friendly, and made us feel like "beautiful people" and well taken care of. He happily indulged my picture taking and enthusiastically took several pictures for us. The Caribbean tea he recommended was a lovely complement to the sandwiches and desserts without being too fruity or sweet. Definitely come hungry, it was a huge tea with whole sandwiches cut into four slices: egg salad with a spike of onion, smoked salmon with onion and capers on a bagel, cheese, and cucumber sandwiches. There was chocolate cake, coconut cake, two types of cookies, a scone, and Greycliff chocolates. Major took excellent care of us keeping our tea cups filled with a smile. We had a lovely experience! Thank you! The bathroom is located down steps off the porch. It would be a challenge for those with mobility constraints. Over 30 years before, I had come to Greycliff for a lunch on my college graduation trip. I had wanted to dine at a 5 star restaurant and where celebrities ate (Winston Churchill, Roger Moore, Brooke Shields). I remembered the attentive service and elegant environment. It was my first time in such a fancy restaurant. It was a very special experience to return again and see the gardens and pool this time. A little further past Greycliff is their chocolate shop as well as a place to get cold chocolate drinks. I had a sample of the chilled white chocolate, and it was so delicious. There is also a wine making/tasting place along the block, and you can mix your own wine through a Greycliff class.
A charming restaurant inside of Gray cliff historical hotel. Food and service are superior. The best duck dish we have ever had. The grilled grass fed wagyu beef is so tender and flavorful. The conch soup is a little salty to our taste but this is probably the way this dish is prepared ( taste more like a stew than soup). Overall, we highly recommend this place if you want to spend a luxurious dinner in Bahamas to remember.
Quintessential Bahamian restaurant with a historic location dating to the 1700s. The service is friendly and top notch. The sole meunière is one of the best anywhere. But where the Graycliff stands out even more is it’s 285,000 bottle cellar. With wines for all tastes and preferences. And did I mention they also make awesome cigars?! AAA+
Absolutely amazing and delicious. I had a busy day and didn’t get to shower and change clothes beforehand - I showed up VERY underdressed and they still gave me the same care, attention and hospitality I would expect a celebrity guest to receive. Shoutout Enrico for the shot of limoncello while I enjoyed my cigar in the lounge. The next time I’m in Nassau I will make this a daily stop, even if just for a drink and cigar in the lounge. 10/10 PS TOUR THE WINE CELLAR! Absolutely mind blowing.
Super neat spot with a great cigar lounge. I love that the cigar lounge is not in the basement but right there in the living space of the home. Live piano music too! Loved the atmosphere so much we went back the next day for dessert.
Literally an amazing experience on every level! Stellar food and uncompromising service & a haunted historic mansion as a backdrop! But the most insane thing was the 3rd largest wine cellar in the world !!! Wait, what?!? Amazing!!
I truly enjoy coming here. The grounds are beautiful, the restaurant is classic, the service is the best on the island, the wine cellar is one of the largest in the world and...if you ask nicely you can get a charcuterie plate. All this while smoking a hand rolled cigar, listening to jazz piano. It's always a memorable evening and we're blessed to have Graycliff in Nassau.
Great restaurant, worth going to while in the area. Expensive but it’s great quality! Good selection of steaks. Also really enjoyed the cigar/lounge area with the pianist singing while sipping a nice French wine. Service is top notch and very friendly. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a good dining experience.
Wonderful experience- take the time to eat and enjoy the environment. Very enjoyable take the time to see the wine cellar very impressive collection.
AMAZING!! Graycliff is an absolute must visit when in Nassau. Get the heck out of the over priced and so so quality resort dining options. The FOOD, ambiance , entertainment, & service received certainly made this one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. From drinks in the Cigar lounge (BYO or get a freshly hand rolled cigar right in the lounge), listening to the wonderful lounge singer and their stories, the personal attention and service provided from the staff from the moment you walk in the door until you leave was world class. Treat yourself to an awesome evening while your vacation, you won’t be sorry 😃
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent! Best restaurant on the Island. Have been going here for over 35 years. This is a must if you are coming to Nassau.
Took my wife here for her birthday very nice place. Excellent wine selection.
It was an absolutely incredible experience. They follow customs, all staff were dressed very smartly, were well spoken, and polite. There was a gentleman playing the piano and singing which was amazing. After dinner they gave us a tour down the basement where they had 290,000 bottles of wine, and a private dining room. We also saw a cigar rolling station as well which was unexpected 😊 Food is 4 stars only because for the money they charge, everything needs to be excellent. It was great, but not excellent. If the price was 80% of what it was, it would be 5 stars. I warmly recommend this place for anyone who loves great food, appreciates amazing service, and likes live music. Will definitely go back
Moe and Denzil - best servers of all time - enrico is a Boss.
Absolutely fabulous gem in the Bahamas. And If your a fan of the Macallan this is extra special.
Amazing dinner and experience. The food, wine, ambiance were all amazing and we had the absolute best service. Everyone working there is just so kind and delightful. If you can, definitely reserve the table in the wine cellar. That experience is one of a kind.
This restaurant is a must try if you looking for a wonderful, fine dining experience. The food was delicious - especially the guava soufflé. I highly recommend preordering a soufflé when ordering your appetizers and main meal. The service was excellent - our waiter was funny and attentive. The dining room decor was unique and brought a lot of charm to our dining experience. I will definitely be back next time I visit Nassau!
High end, elegant restaurant in a beautiful setting. We started with Conch Chowder, which was good, but not better than any other we had on the island. Tuna tartar was very good, but again, not better than any other. We shared a snapper filet, which was delicious in a somewhat creamy sauce that did not inundate the dish. Caesar salad was disappointing; a little on the small side and typical of the Caesar in a nicer restaurant. Food was all good, but not transcendent. Service was excellent and the waitstaff attentive. Very much a special occasion place. A little bit of sticker shock from the prices; there wasn’t an aperitif we had that was less than $20. The entire dinner bill for 3 was $380, inclusive of tax and tip.
This is a unique place in Nassau. The restaurant itself is located in a historic building, it also had live piano which was a very nice touch. The host was a bit judgmental in the way he looked and spoke, granted I was dressed somewhat casual, it is bahamas after all, but the rest of the stuff was very friendly. Duck was excellent, wine was excellent, they are famous for their collection. For desert I got guava souffle and that was a highlight! It is a big desert so definitely share it. Garden are looked very romantic too. Also they have a very good lunch menu but had a short trip and didn't get a chance to try it.
Visited this fine restaurant in October with some colleagues and clients. Awesome service. Fantastic food and drink. The owner, who is originally from Italy, Enrico, sat there with his staff while they rolled some cigars- simple like that. After dinner, he chatted with our group and we were offered a tour of his wine cellar- well that was just different. It is home to some of the world's oldest and rarest vintages. The oldest bottle of wine in the world resides right there, a 1727 Rudeshemier Apostelwein, from the RHEINGAU region, made by the Monks. Now that is amazing!! On top of that, The Graycliff boasts the 3rd/4th largest wine collection in the world at 275,000 bottles, from 20 countries and over 5,000 wineries.
Saw a lot of great reviews, so we went and we were very glad that we did. We had wagyu steak and lobster tail with 2 sauces. Out of all the restaurants we went in Nassau, this was the only place that cooked the lobster right. Steak was ok, but that's compared to other steaks I've tried from NYC and Japan. Atmosphere was great, but this place is pretty outdated, but it is a historical place, so kinda understand that. There was a dead fly by the window and another alive one that kept bothering us, which was a bummer. Wines were decent, and their wine cellar tour was amazing. Overall, it's definitely worth to go.
Always a must on my list when visiting Nassau. I love the historic charm, authenticity and atmosphere of the place. The great room with the subtle lights behind the bottles, the portraits, great cocktails and the piano… one of those special places in the world worth preserving. The food and the drinks are pricey but good. The staff serving dinner is professional, charming and always ready with recommendation and catering to all the needs. One aspect that put the shadow on tonight’s experience was the restaurant welcome / reception - no smile, welcome or anything. We were a party of six, and I told him we are here an hour earlier before our reservation because I love the place and want to show it to my friends - I thought he will say something how special it is, or offer a tour or some recommendations to show us the wine cellar after dinner or tell us to walk around the gardens to the pool, or anything welcoming really… but we got nothing. We sat ourselves by the piano, ordered some cocktails (waited a while for them) and then since no one seemed friendly or approachable or interested to give us any attention we just waited for dinner time at which point we proceeded to our table. Overall, a missed opportunity for the staff to introduce the place to my friends and make us feel welcome. My friends probably won’t be eager to return next year because of it. Oh - and the dining room table cloths and the service plates look kind of cheap, some Mexican vibe, definitely not elegant, I hope they redo that asap.
Visited Graycliff in May '22. Decor is old school but that is their thing and thene. There is a beautiful pool on the grounds with painted tiles - a throwback and I loved it. You have to go through this vaccination song and dance to walk in the door, even though visitors can't get onto the Island without being C19 free. They don't really even look at the card. Your document could have said Mickey Mouse on it and the doorman wouldn't have noticed. Silly. Staff was not unfriendly but wasn't as friendly or as courteous as you find at the resorts. The drivers we had on the island were all much friendlier, engaging and fun. No one was rude but dinner felt a little too business-like and lacked any charm. It was like they know they have you for an expensive $800 meal and automatic 18% gratuity so why try. Unfortunate. So, the wine list is one of the reasons we came here. The book is about an inch thick. The server said I'll give you a minute to look and he wasn't kidding. He was back asking for a selection in less than 5 minutes. It would take an hour to give it a real flip through. The Burgundy and Rhone selections were more pedestrian than I had hoped. Many selections but nothing very cool or interesting that didn't cost $1000s. They have the DRCs and some other marquis names at the accompanying crazy prices. Even looking for some good values in Beaujolais yielded only Deboeuf and Jadot (Jadot Beaj-Village was $80 - yikes!). But, with only seconds to spare before the server returned a second time, I found what might be a couple of the few value or mis-marked selections - Ch Meyney '96 and '95 for $116 and $120. We ordered a bottle of each. Definitely chalked up a win finding these overlooked gems at such a price. Meyney is a consistently overlooked St Estephe chateau and I'm glad to see it was not priced like the other wines. They must have bought these bottles decades ago. The 96 was showing better than the 95. Definitely recommend ordering these. The 96 had a lot of charm and was peaking. The 95 was more tannin and the fruit was fading (not quite as fleshy as the 96). The food was good but not great. I had the wagyu tenderloin. It was cooked just right but I'm not convinced it was really wagyu. It lacked the tenderness I expected from wagyu. We were given a quick cellar tour. They are very proud of their cellar and they should be. I saw some great wine down there. Again, very rushed and they didn't care to talk shop with someone who knows something about wine. All in all a fun meal with friends but it was pricey and could have been made much nicer with some more personalization and island charm.
Meah. I've had far better for a whole lot less. Food was nice but waaaay overpriced. I eat out 150 times a year and it's simply Meah. I did it. Its over. And it was just OK. I wish I could say something great. That's just not going to happen. Bread was hard as a rock. Poured our water out of a water bottle took forever. Our dishes were actually quite good though. They got my 3 hungee I'm giving the over all experience a 6.123. Out of 10.000 Don't hate. I only speak the truth. I've received 900 places of all types and walks of life. I think I'm being fair. The call Stands 6.123.
3 Stars is Generous rating. I was extremely disappointed with the food. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. The food was inferior to most chain restaurants and at $175/person you should expect way more. The Lobster bisque was off. Lacking a lobster flavor and the sweetness you would expect and slightly sour. The Conch Chowder was good but nothing exceptional. My wife’s Filet was perfect but that’s what you should get on such a common dish. The vegetables weren’t seasoned for either entree. Golden Corral has better vegetables and that’s only $15 for all you can eat. My entree was so so disappointing. The Fruit of the Sea. A dish that was supposed to highlight the flavors of the Bahamas. The Lobster, Shrimp, Grouper, and Mussels were all over cooked. The lobster was so hard to eat as it was dry and chewy but at an almost $100 plate I was compelled to eat it all. And let’s not forget about the scallops which were undercooked. The Gratuity was automatically added to the bill. I don’t mind paying for service but I do have a problem with bad or poorly cooked food. I do not know how it’s a 5 star restaurant. If it’s on your itinerary, I’d recommend you change your plans. Maybe try the Fish Fry or anything else.
We went out for a family dinner and waited over an hour after ordering just to receive our appetizers. While the staff acknowledged the delay, nothing was done to address it. We later learned that a private dinner for Drake was taking place, and it became clear that the rest of the guests were pushed aside because of it. That is simply unacceptable. I am just as entitled to timely service as anyone else, and I fully expect the same level of care regardless of who else is dining. The food itself was very good, but unfortunately the extremely poor service overshadowed the entire experience. Sadly, this is not a place I will return to. Three hours is not acceptable for dinner!!!!!! Never got to see the wine cellar!!!!
Beautiful venue and overall ambiance, however I would not recommend to other visitors. The maitre d’ made us very uncomfortable upon arrival by shaming one person in our party for wearing shorts (we are on vacation in the Bahamas, so he didn’t pack any formal trousers, but he was by no means looking scruffy..) Loved the live pianist. Service by waitstaff was excellent, however, the quality of the food left much to be desired and for a so called 5-star fine dining restaurant and the prices we were paying, we were disappointed. 2 in our party had fish (snapper and grouper). They were nice. 2 in our party had steak. Definitely do not order. Tough, not well cooked, generally low quality cuts. Sides were sub-par and bland. Chocolate truffles were lovely. Wines were extremely overpriced. We have eaten in restaurants that charge a fee for sharing main courses, but Graycliff charges a sharing fee for appetizers as well, which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion.
Authentic building with great atmosphere and history, but food not up to par. Extremely expensive, presumptuous for what is being served. Tourist trap leaving on past. Impressive wine cellar though.
Started off great with cocktails and a cigar in a cool environment. Appetizers were pretty good and so was the fresh bread. We awaited our steak and lamb to arrive and that’s where it went wrong. The half rack of lamb was well done vs medium rare. I reluctantly sent it back and the waiter agreed. Then quick a replacement arrived and it was rare at most. I got a pit in my stomach as I called over the waiter again. Not even close. Sent it back again and the maitre d came over to say his chef clearly doesn’t know his temperatures and apologized. I declined a third attempt at the lamb. It was super awkward from there. I expected some kind of bill adjustment vs just not charging me for what I didn’t eat and a complimentary $20 dessert - especially with an 18% gratuity built in. The maître d wasn’t hearing it and I left frustrated and disappointed in the response.
Arrived for dinner early for our reservation time. Was scolded about the two men not wearing trousers. When I made the reservation weeks ago, was never told about the dress code. The place has a dank, dusty smell. The cocktail server inside the piano area is prompt and attentive. The music Ana singing by the pianist/entertainer is enjoyable. Not one host smiled once nor made me feel welcomed. Service at the table was sub-par, at best. Basically, completely ignored our entire meal. Had to ask several times for a wine list. Once dishes were dropped off, not one person checked back ever. Waited over an hour for main entrees after eight other tables came and left. We were only a family of four. Ordered cocktails (2) then a bottle of wine. Ordered the soufflé. Entrees were excellent. The truffle purses were excellent. Caesar salad was ok. No one ever checked back at any time. I asked four times for the check only after I flagged down a woman four times. Finally left. Not one person said thank you. Definitely will not return. Spoke with several other diners outside and they all said the experience was subpar as well. All experiences travelers and dining patrons.
I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 15yrs. It’s NOT what it was in the past, and my last experience was very below average. Once the most special place in the Bahamas- but no longer. It was a very cold welcome when we arrived- as if us arriving for our reservation (we made weeks prior) was an inconvenience.. then waiting for a drink menu for 15min before requesting it again.. then when our food finally arrived, the fish was dried out and overcooked, and my filet mignon was a very low quality meat & surprisingly tough. We didnt complain.. but hoped the dessert would be good and our after dinner drinks would be tasty… but the lack of attention completely turned us off, and we decided to celebrate the rest of Valentine’s Day elsewhere!
For starters I normally don’t do reviews but unfortunately this restaurant deserves it. The food was entirely bland and extremely dry for multiple dishes. We have dined at quite a few fine dining restaurants and have gotten more food and better quality for a fraction of the price and if it was comparable to this restaurant’s outrageous pricing the food at least was to die for and matched the expected quality of paying almost a $100 an entrée (which most include a side to complement the dish- this restaurant does not). That being said besides the food being abysmal, the staff / wine / and location are all amazing. Also even though it says dinner jackets and slacks are preferred, they truly are not. Any shorts or button up / collared shirt was there when we attended. Skip the food sit in the bar and have some wine, this places was utterly disappointing and obviously catered to tourists with no sense of real taste for quality food.
Huge disappointment. I have lived in the Bahamas for five years and had heard that today's Graycliff restaurant falls very short of its' storied history. Finally decided to go today and was flabbergasted to be served incredibly poor quality food, much worse than I had heard. The atmosphere however is great, like travelling to the grandeur of the 1930's. Tour the grounds as it is incredibly beautiful but DO NOT eat here. We started with the conch chowder, a super small serving that tasted exactly like canned tomato soup with rubbery conch and overcooked vegetables added. I ordered the Steak Frites.... the steak was rancid... YES RANCID, the cook would have known that they were serving spoiled meat simply by the colour and odour. I ate one small bite and immediately felt nauseous. I returned and cancelled the order as I could no longer eat at this point. My partner had the lobster salad, a very small serving with old, rubbery vegetables added. They pushed the bottled water, I am told this has become the highest profit margin item for restaurants, clearly the waiters have been trained to sell, sell, sell. Very sad story for a restaurant that at one time attracted people from all over the world.
The only positive thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. At the entrance, you are greeted by a rather rude and unfriendly man, which is not the best start to the experience. The truffle pasta was absolutely terrible, and the service did not meet expectations. On the bright side, the scallops were delicious, and the cocktails were well-made. Overall, I do not recommend visiting this place.
Very shady practices conducted here and you will be scammed so double-check your bill for increased prices compared to the menu…also watch out that still water here costs 12 dollars and it is not listed on the menu at all!! Starting with the positives: the atmosphere is very sophisticated at the Graycliff’s which is the reason why I chose it. The food was very good, although not creative at all! Service was incredibly slow and you can notice them prioritizing larger parties, probably for the larger gratuity included automatically on the bill. Watch out for your bill as items prices are more than those on the menu (I attached a photo proof) this was rectified after i pointed it out but a very shady practice. Also it is ridiculous that still water is the same price as the dessert at 12 dollars! Despite the slow service and the scam they had the guts to add 18% automatic gratuity!
I don’t write reviews often but I couldn’t let this place get away with this one. This place was disappointing, the food was okay but the prices were insulting. 12 dollars for a cheap plastic bottle of water. 14 dollars for 5 pieces of asparagus that were barely cooked. The list goes on for the outrageous prices. I have no issue paying for what I’m gettin but… The environment is subpar, it’s dusty and old, and not in the charming way. In the let’s buy the cheapest table cloth from the goodwill kind of way. The flowers were picked from the back patio and listen yes does this sound snobbish? 100% but $400 for two people, in a cheaply, poor maintained, mediocre steaks, horrible drinks kinda place is absolutely atrocious and I feel robbed. The owners are very obviously cheap and greedy because to feel comfortable charging such asinine prices, you have to be pretty crappy people. Oh and you’re only allowed two pieces of bread… like are you kidding? To be making the kinda of money these people are making and you’re going to ration the bread?! … cmon. Do better.
God I hate it when people lie to you. $811 for a room with breakfast included. And then they charge you $70 dollars extra for breakfast. Coffee, croissant and eggs Benedict. Yeah that sounds like included Scam artists. Go spend your money somewhere else
