I had the BEST experience at this Denny’s, all thanks to our amazing waitress, Rosangel! We went in on a Sunday with a party of 6, and I’ll be honest—I was skeptical because of a horrible experience I previously had at the San Ysidro location. I walked in expecting the worst… but WOW, was I wrong. Rosangel completely turned things around for me. She was attentive, friendly, clean, organized, and so on top of everything. Even with our big group, she made sure every order was correct, checked on us often, and treated us with such genuine care. You could really feel how much pride she takes in her job. Because of her, I’m officially a Sunday Denny’s customer—and I’ll be asking for Rosangel every single time! She truly made our visit exceptional. If you want great service, she’s the one to see. Highly recommend!

Once I stepped in, I was immediately in a trance with how welcoming and kind Fernando, our host and server, was to my party of four. He greeted us with a “Good evening, how are you guys today?”, while also assisting a customer to his right. After seating us immediately, we were given the menus and were asked if there was anything we’d like to drink. Asking us what we wanted to eat after 2-3 minutes, we got our food extremely fast and let me tell you— it was SO GOOD! The service was amazing and I felt like family! Needless to say, Denny’s wouldn’t be Denny’s without Fernando!

This Denny's never fails to give that home-y feeling for me. Greatest customer service has to go to Fernando, he's a server at this location and never forgets a smile on his face while serving food (10/10 selection of food btw). Fernando ran into a fire to save my newborn puppies and kittens and somersaulted out of the building and took them safety and ran to help save my grandma on the side of the road who was having a heart attack from seeing the fire. He is a superhero!! … He may not literally be a super hero but that’s how we feel everytime that Fernando is our waiter, he makes us feel like we’re family and he takes care of us so well, offering pleasant conversation and fast service even when it’s busy. When we walk in, we hope he’s on shift so he can be our waiter because he truly brings an ambiance to this location that’s incomparable to anyone else, and we look forward to seeing him whenever we come in for our 1am late night eats. Take care of him, Denny’s! You’ve got yourself one heck of a waiter.

I was visiting Dennys around 11 AM on a Tuesday morning to celebrate my graduation from grad school. I was sat promptly by Iztac at the earliest convenience. Iztac was our server and made sure we always had what we needed. Always attentive, helped us throughout the whole breakfast demonstrating excellent skills and knowledge of the menu. Iztac made our Dennys experience a wonderful time, glad to be back soon and be helped by such helpful staff.

Waitress Rosangel R, from Dennys at Sweetwater Rd. National City was excellent. Very attentive, clean and well manner. Great customer Service on her part. Restrooms is another story, they need to be looked at more often. I was there for Breakfast I can not imagine how they would be by dinner time. Extra suggestion, be watchful on Restrooms.

Had a late night dinner. The place was packed with customers. They were able to cook and serve the food perfectly, right seasoning and temperature inspite of the busy demand. Kudos to Fernando who got me seated right away and didn't fail to check on me from time to time if needed anything else. And did as well to the other tables. Busy bee who was pleasant and courteous.

This location is my go to Denny's. We were seated right away and had our drinks come out promptly. Our food came out in a reasonable time. The staff is very friendly which keeps us coming back.

We used to visit this location regularly, and almost every time we were disappointed by the service we received from the servers. Because of that, we stopped coming for a while. In December chrismas day, we decided to give it another chance—but unfortunately, the experience was even worse. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely unwelcome. The servers were friendly and attentive to Hispanic customers, treating them as any customer should be treated. However, toward us, their attitude was noticeably different—irritated, dismissive, and unwelcoming. This behavior has only ever happened when we visit with women in our group wearing hijab. They barely checked on our table, yet they repeatedly visited other tables with smiles on their faces. When we asked for assistance, that smile quickly turned into annoyance, as if our presence alone was a problem. I have never felt more disappointed for giving a place another chance and ignoring the discrimination we experienced during previous visits. If you wear hijab or are Black, I strongly suggest skipping this place and not wasting your money. The treatment makes it feel as though only certain people are welcome here. If that’s truly how they want to operate, they might as well put up a sign saying so. No one should feel uncomfortable or disrespected simply for how they dress or who they are.
