Sergio is an outstanding waiter who works really hard to make sure his guests are happy and enjoying their meal. We started with the burrata salad with spinach, candied walnuts, cherry tomatoes and a delicious dressing. The cheese was seasoned to make it out of this world delicious. For our main, we chose ricotta and spinach ravioli in sage butter sauce and the capalacci alla zucca, also in a sage butter sauce. Both dishes were beautifully served and were, according to our friend, the best thing I ever ate. The restaurant is located in the Grand Mayan Hotel and is a stunning venue.

We are so glad we didn’t listen to the Yelp reviews on this restaurant. We checked google and open table and it was rated highly but Yelp had it at a 3 star which almost prevented us from eating here. Ambience great. Service great. Food was really good. In california this restaurant would be a 4 star. I’ve found the food in Mexico and other places not as good as what we get in my home state.

This place is amazing. Make sure you request Mario (I know) lol who provided the best customer service anyone could ask for. The menu is extensive and not pricey at all for two to have a decent dinner. They even have Moscato. With such a great menu you can add in the track from anything on the list. Creating your own Italian feast.

Our experience last night at Taramonto was exceptional. The waiters Rodrigo and Alan were fantastic. They really made us feel like royalty. One of the other people in our group was gluten free. They brought her special GF bread, sauces and really catered to us all. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope that when you go to this fabulous restaurant Rodrigo and Alan will be your waiters Hats off to the chef for a wonderful meal!! We will be back.

This amazing Italian restaurant will treat all your senses. They have a variety of menu choices and you will find something for everyone and for all budgets. The food is house made and fresh; and the pasta is exceptional. Flavours will elevate your tastebuds and cause you to pause and savour each and every bite. The meal starts with a selection of breads in a basket served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We followed that with the crispy calamari spinach salad with white wine vinaigrette accompanied with a tomato dipping sauce. It was large enough for two to share. We both chose the chicken parmigiana entree with linguini; one with garlic and butter and the other with puttanesca sauce. The house made pasta was exceptional in texture and flavour. Wine list was varied along with a wide range of prices. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable. The manager also came by to ensure we were well taken care of. The ambiance was relaxed. You will definitely get value for your money. The dinner ended with our bill being delivered with two dainty chocolate tartlets filled with creamy chocolate and topped with a garnish.

Dined here on our 24th Anniversary trip to Mexico. I had a Steak & Shrimp dinner and my wife had Carbonara. Both were excellent. Our Calamari app and Tiramisu dessert may be the best I've ever tasted. The service and amenities was top notch. If you are stating at Villanta then Tramonto is a must for at least one breakfast and dinner during your stay.

Still one of my favorite places after many years. Tried something new, their octopus with diablo sauce, after my frequently ordered beef carpaccio. The diablo sauce was excellent and went well with the melt in your mouth octopus. See picture.

Tramonto has excellent food and service, but it’s very expensive. The bread is great and they have an extensive wine list We had the risotto and the chicken Parmesan. Both dishes were excellent - good portion size and well seasoned. We chose the lemon tart for dessert and it wasn’t what we expected, and it had a bit of an odd flavor- I can’t say I’d recommend it. The chef’s chocolate treat at the end of the meal was far better! Like all the higher end Vidanta restaurants, the service was outstanding. This and Puerto Manjar are great for special occasions. Overall it’s very good but expensive for an Italian dinner.

In general good in comparison with normal Italian restaurants. The menu is weird in that it offers steaks as well, which seem a bit out of tune with the theme. Any pasta you order seems to be made in house and cooked al dente, portions are extremely generous and overall flavour is excellent. One thing they could really improve is risotto, the risotto is not creamy enough and it seemed not enough care was put into it as other dishes. The eggplant parm was flavourless and not very good either. However the rest of the dishes were very good.

Food is good but overpriced. We had a lobster tail and a Mexican coffee each and paid 500$ us. The service is excellent though but beware.

The food and service are going downhill. This is usually one of the restaurants we frequently visit here on location. Disappointingly this will be our last. My wife's dish had missing shrimp. They did replace it but with no apologies and it took a while. My steak came in barely warm to the touch. I should have sent it back but the wait was so long even with a half empty restaurant on a Saturday night (this should have been a clue). Wife got full eating bread and appetizers while waiting for her meal to be redone. My teenager barely touched her meal (nothing wrong with, it was just late at night for her). So we wanted and were VERY CLEAR to the server that we wanted to take those two meals and my salad with us. He nods his head and takes those specific plates presumably to pack them while leaving the other plates to be bussed by others (as he should). Time goes by and we keep asking where's our food? Evidently, they threw out almost full plates and untouched salad. We were horrified. They replace the two meals with half size portions and no salad. To tired to argue. Still left a 15% gratuity when I typically leave 25-30% since covid. I absolutely feel like the fool. We didn't even wait for dessert. Honestly, we had better food and service at the pool area restaurants which we enjoyed very much.

We went to Tramonto expecting an amazing Steak and Lobster dinner. We were so disappointed! The steak looked amazing but was a little tough and flavorless. The Lobsters were huge, grilled, and came out tough with a weird flavor. The side butter and garlic Buller didn't even help. We asked the waiter about portions, and he oversold us. The bill came out close to $800 for 4 people. We would have been ok with that if it was amazing, but instead, we all felt we would have gotten a better flavored meal at Sizzler... so sad.

La comida horrible! Una pena que en un lugar que tiene una ubicación privilegiada para adquirir pescados y mariscos frescos te sirvan sardinas congeladas y aros de calamar literalmente sabor y textura a LIGA…. El Alioli no es mas que ajo con maicena! Horrible! La comida más desagradable y MÁS CARA que se puedan imaginar!!! Por lo que más quieran NI SE ACERQUEN!!!!!! Se tardan años en servirte, los ventiladores están tan fuertes que te lloran los ojos!! Y ni hablar que bajen la velocidad o los apaguen!!! En resumen… Mala atención, muy caro, horrible comida! Ah! Por cierto, lo que viene en la carta no hay! Mejor pregunta que tienen!!!! Y es la misma comida que te sirven en la alberca pero al doble de precio! 🤮
