My college roommate was in town from Nashville, so we decided to go dinner. Both of us were in the mood for Italian cuisine. We stopped in at Siena . I have always wanted to try this place, I imagine it is just as good as The High George rooftop. We sat at the bar our server was David. David was cool and funny. He makes some really good drinks. We ordered the grapevine and blush & bloom both were chill and refreshing. We needed two rounds of drinks. Pretty good drinks. Now for food we ordered three things and we shared. Starters were the little gem caesar whuch was delicious. The right amount of caesar dressing! The salad was topped with anchovy. Second on the spread was the gamberi oreganata. So good with bread to dip in the delicious sauce. Last for the main we chose the Branzino , and it was well seasoned I mean well seasoned!!! I love the glaze sauce that came with the branzino. Overall we had a great time and experience. I def want to come back!

I had an incredible experience at Siena Restaurant in Norwalk. We tried the pizza, wood-fired chicken, and the bread pudding every single dish was exceptional! On top of the amazing food, the view was just as memorable, making the whole experience feel special. The owner is one of the most humble people I’ve met in the restaurant world, which makes this place even more inviting. I travel around the globe, but Siena is a spot I’ll keep coming back to. Truly a gem in Norwalk.

Love love love. Went for Valentine’s Day- had a last minute cancellation at a diff restaurant but luckily he managed to reserve a last minute table at Siena’s. Food was great the octopus is to pass out for! If you do get dessert we suggest the banana pudding with ice cream🤍

we had an absolute wonderful night. We were a group with over 20 people and the service was beyond fantastic. Our server Michael went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a good night. The ambience, food and overall experience is amazing. Highly recommend Siena for any occasion!

One of our best anniversary and Valentine's Day meals out yet! An amazing addition to New Haven dining scene. The food was delicious. We started with the beet salad and then moved on to clam chowder or seared scallops. Our main course was either salmon which was really good or the perfectly cooked filet mignon. For dessert we had an amazing carrot cake and a delightful chocolate cake. We also enjoyed the flight of wine that was served with this special dinner menu. The service was professional and friendly. The Ambiance was relaxing and yet surprisingly grown up.

Exceptional from start to finish. Steven, our waiter was so knowledgeable of the menu and all recommendations were spot on. This was our first time at Sienna NH but, not our last.

Beautiful meal- excellent service by Stephan! The Mancini with truffle— perfection and the chicken Milanese was very light and flavorful with the arugula and lemon! I highly recommend the detox cocktail!

Went here last night for my 30th birthday and I was so pleasantly surprised! I had never heard of this place before so I didn't know what to expect. The branzino was amazing, service extremely good, cocktails were really fun. The ambiance is comfortable and intimate. A great experience overall.

We had a great experience celebrating my sister's birthday! Many traditional items but with a unique twist. Brussel sprouts with the cranberry mostarda was a nice combo & the zucchini & eggplant were a nice addition to the calamari. We shared the Branzino with the lentils & kale & Olive oil cake and enjoyed both immensely. We also enjoyed seasonal cocktails. Our server, Astou, was very attentive & provided great recommendations. All the staff were friendly. Will certainly return.

We went for lunch and everything was excellent! Andres was a wonderful and happy server. I would definitely come back to try dinner. The one issue was we were turned away from Valet which was the main reason we chose the New Haven restaurant. That was a major bummer so we had to walk a good way from the garage. Otherwise, the restaurant experience was excellent! Can’t wait to go back!

Came here for a group dinner monday night and had a remarkable experience. Food was amazing the spicy rigatoni was the best i’ve had in a while. Waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable and on monday’s they have 50% off all wine bottles so will definitely return!

The flavor of the food was delicious, made with care! Service so customer oriented. One of the owners came to the table and we gave him compliments. Andres’s attentive manners were excellent. Truly enjoyed our dinner at Sienna downtown NH! Thank you!

Food was delicious. Try the small plate mushroom truffle crustini. Our server, Andres, was very attentive and great at making us feel valued and welcomed at Siena. We will come back for sure.

Great atmosphere. Fantastic service by Michael. Highly recommend the ristorante. I had the dry aged16 oz steak. Taste very good. The garlic spinach was a great side dish. Will go again for sure

The food and service at our first visit to HP was exceptional. From the host and bartender, to the waitstaff, we felt welcomed and had every need attended to. And the food was incredible. We shared the aged ribeye for 2, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. We started with scallops which were perfectly seared, and the chef sent over a complimentary wedge salad. I don't care for blue cheese, but still enjoyed the salad. We also had asparagus with our steak which was excellent. The atmosphere is casual, but don't let that fool you about the caliber of the food and service.

Andres’s made our entire night! He was amazing and the most attentive server! Made my entire birthday. Service was great, food was absolutely delicious, could not have asked for a better evening!

We found out about siena from a few friends of ours who frequent their norwalk location and told us we had to come, and I’m so glad we did! Our server austou was very attentive accommodating and a great waitress. We had the branzino which was lovely and the olive oil cake that had a blood orange sorbet that was to die for. This is definitely a must visit restaurant in New Haven!

So impressed with the new menu and the new team. If you like fish, I highly recommend the sea bass— perfectly cooked, with some sweet scampi and just the right amount of kick in the sauce— not spicy but really elegant and flavourful. Some small gems on their wine list, including some excellent organic/sustainably produced wines— Halleluiah! A special shout-out to Paula (our waitress), Michael and Jonathan for the attentive and professional service, and to Pasquale for sharing a taste of his favorite Barolo- a nice touch that contributed to the warm welcome.

I, along with 4 friends, spent a lovely evening at Hamilton Park! From beginning to end it was a fantastic experience! The decor and ambiance is very minimal and understated, yet warm and inviting. The service staff was attentive and accommodating. And...the food...was truly a culinary delight! Appetizers, entrees and desserts were all a treat! We cannot wait to go back and enjoy another wonderful dining experience! WELCOME to New Haven~~~wishing you all the very best!

The place is beautiful. Sunday Brunch includes live Jazz. The bartender was extremely busy and was still attentive with us. The hostess accommodated our request. The waiter, a true professional! The food was cooked perfectly. Will be back! The Bartender advised us a rooftop bar will be open next month. Can't wait!

Great dinner at a great price - but what made the experience so amazing was the staff - shout out to both Johnathan “the pineapple” and Andres the master server. Comfortable like eating at your grandmas place!

The food and space here are amazing. They blew me away with the very first bite. I love a good bread service and theirs is a standout, I could’ve eaten a full plate of the brioche. Thankfully I exercised some self control to save room for other food. The scallop and squid appetizers were so delicious and I was blown away by the pasta. Our table shared three pastas along with duck and the meat pie. I highly recommend doing the same. Desserts are unfortunately overlooked at many restaurants these days, I mean I love ice cream as much as the next person but I appreciate a little more effort, thankfully Hamilton park’s chefs go above and beyond! There’s a sizable and wide range on the dessert menu. The Paris Brest and panna cotta were the perfect way to end the meal. I can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu and am even more excited for them to open the roof top restaurant! What a lovely addition to the new haven dining scene!

Phenomenal! I came to dine during the weekday with a few friends in the evening. We started at the bar & decided to have dinner. They were able to accommodate us shortly. The food was amazing & the service was on point. I’m excited for jazz brunch and I’m hearing of a rooftop bar for spring !!!

Had a great time celebrating a friend's birthday. We were a group of 9 and the seating was great. Staff was attentive throughout and very friendly. The food was delicious; the mushroom Tagliatelle was delish. And the ambiance was great. Would come back for sure!

We had a fabulous meal here after checking into the Blake Hotel (which is also fabulous). Our server was extremely helpful with the menu and wine selections. She was charming as well. I highly recommend the pastas and everything else, which included a special of watermelon salad. These people are creative and take great care and it shows.

Siena has delicious food and drinks! What really makes this place special is the attentive service. We had Silas and he was so kind and did a great job.

Our server Devine was amazing and so well poised. The appetizers of meatballs and their charcuterie was presented beautifully. The only issue was with dinner. We got the squid ink pasta and the filet. You could 110% taste the food was high quality and fresh but it missed the mark for us on taste. It lacked so much flavor. If you’re looking for a good simple meal with 5 star service, this is the place but if you’re looking for dishes that the chef cares about flavor and excitement, this restaurant lacks in that. It was a good experience over all but we were just disappointed because there’s so much potential for it to be a restaurant where you go back specifically for that one dish because it tasted so good.

Siena was a good time. We went on a whim after my husband was kind enough to pick a new place for us to visit during date night. The cocktails were unique and tasty - presentation was 5 stars. Coincidentally, we were on a mushroom kick that night. I ordered a mushroom and polenta dish and we also ordered a mushroom pasta dish. Both were so flavorful and fantastic. For starters, we also ordered the octopus. The flavor was on point, but if I’m being honest, the plating was pretty messy because the octopus was covered in arugula, which I love, but it really took away from the main star of the dish. I would maybe rethink that because visually it looks like the arugula was supplementing the smaller portion of octopus. We also ordered a chocolate tart type dessert and it was beautifully presented, but overall it was OK. I will say the staff: everyone from the hostess to our server, bartenders, kitchen were really kind and attentive so we do appreciate that. Thanks for a lovely experience! Pretty good food. Would recommend for people looking for a more casual dinner in New Haven. Overall it was really good for a hotel.

This place was voted the most beautiful restaurant in CT. No idea how this hotel bar has earned this accolade. It looks fine, but nothing to take your breath away. Food is good. Their mushrooms are actually pretty darn delicious. Service is great, if a bit on the slow sode.. although it was a busy night. It's clean and safe. This place is OK. I recommend it. Just don't go in there expecting breathtaking atmosphere like I did.

Went for a dinner to celebrate an anniversary and overall we loved our dinner there! We were initially offered a table right by the kitchen door, but the hostess was flexible and let us sit at a much more comfortable corner table. For starters we had blistered shishito peppers, pork belly, and anchovy gem Caesar salad. The pork belly dish could have done with a bit more sweetness and the salad was a bit over-dressed but we enjoyed our appetizers a lot! For the main we both had pasta- the bolognese and lamb sugo- both were excellent! For dessert we had the cacio e pepe tart and s’mores budino and both were great. The restaurant was busy and our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed at times, however, the whole service team was very attentive so we felt well taken care of. Would definitely visit again!

Went here with a group of work people. Had a separate area for us which was great. Not too loud so could actually socialize with your part of people. Most of the food was great, would not recommend the Tuna tartare here, tasted way off. Can actually take the elevator and go to rooftop lounge area too before/after.

Very happy we tried this restaurant as a pre-valentine's dinner. The food was excellent, and the owner even helped us make the cheese selection. The staff were excellent, always polite, friendly, and prompt. I had the duck l'orange and would highly recommend. The only annoying thing was our table was wicked wobbly. Definitely on the higher side price wise. I would go back... and even stay at the Blake Hotel. The decor was great.

I came here for my birthday after seeing the restaurant on TikTok and was really excited to be seated on the rooftop — which was a big reason I chose this spot. Unfortunately, the rooftop was closed, which was disappointing, though I’ll admit the indoor dining area was still beautiful. Our waitress was genuinely sweet, but the overall experience didn’t quite match the price. The portions were very small — $28 for pasta, $17 for a salad, and $20 for just a few pieces of calamari that barely felt like a full appetizer. The food was decent, but not especially memorable. They did bring complimentary lemon drop shots and almond bread, which was a nice touch, but since it was my birthday, I was surprised dessert wasn’t even offered. For the price point, I expected more — both in food and in the overall experience.

Been here twice: lunch and weekend brunch. Dining experience was underwhelming both times. I got a burger for lunch, and the patty was a dense, tough mess, with toppings that were blandl. Heard pasta was just okay, nothing special. I wanted to give another menu a try so I hoped for a redeeming experience at brunch, but I was disappointed again. The smoked salmon and English muffin is boring, and the portion size is laughable. Duck confit hash tasted of stale duck, as if it sat overnight. To make it worse, the price for that quality food is a travesty. Service is okay, although it’s pretty standard and nowhere near enough to make up for such mediocre food, even for New Haven.

I returned after eating here prior to the change in ownership but was unfortunately underwhelmed. The atmosphere was excellent with great bar staff and great drinks however the food was quite unsatisfactory. I Would return for the bar but not the restaurant. I got 4 dishes. Two apps which were edible and two entrées which were not. Over salted pasta, dry fish. The food was slapped on the plate like middle school cafeteria food. Ultimately we ate dinner elsewhere.

Ambiance and vibe was great. Tuna tartar was flavorful except it was a little small for the price. Our daughter liked the chowder and her fish and chips. Our server was great too. The reason for the two stars is for a couple of reasons. Our friend ordered the duck. It was beyond fatty. We know duck has a fatty consistency, but there was a huge line of uncooked fat down the middle. Not to mention it was pretty much raw, not rare...raw. They took it back and took it off the bill, which was fine. She got the cheeseburger that was billed as ‘life changing’. It was good, but not necessarily life changing. Meh. Next, my husband and I ordered the recommended N.Y. strip. It was sold as a bone in top of the line strip steak. It came out at less than a 1/2 inch thick and very fatty. Not marbly, but full of gristle, tough and chewy. Not what we’d expect for a $47 steak. The kicker at the end was that we were charged $13 for valet parking. We weren’t informed beforehand and only found out as we were leaving. Most ‘fine dining’ restaurants offer free parking in New Haven to entice customers to come. There are a ton of better restaurants in New Haven than this for the money we spent. We are more than willing to spend if the food is great. This wasn’t great. It wasn’t the worst, but it definitely wasn’t great.

One of the worst dining experiences that I’ve ever had. I came here for my Brother’s birthday and I regret bringing him here for his special day. The mistakes began with the incorrect sparkling water being brought out when we requested just tap water. Bread was not brought to our table and this went unnoticed until the waitress asked us if “we wanted any more bread”. We didn’t receive any in the first place! Our entrees were not delivered at the same time which can be overlooked until we asked “where the final dish was” (this was the Birthday Boy’s entree). This was eventually brought out 10 min later and severely overcooked and dry. Late and overcooked? We had brought our own birthday cake and asked them to bring it out for us. They spent well over 20 min bringing out our own cake with candles! Then they only gave us plates and I needed to go up and request silverware myself. Finally when this disaster of a dinner was done, the wait staff offered us limoncello shots and then never brought them out! To add insult to injury, it seemed like all the other tables around us were being properly attended to. If you are planning on spending these prices for food, I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere. Food was subpar at best (I had their pasta dish which had an old oil aftertaste) and service was terrible.

We used Siena for our wedding after party with a majority of our guests staying at the Blake Hotel. The reservation process to reserve the restaurant space was managed with Naitza for Siena and quite easy in terms of out lining the deposit and contract terms. However once the event started all follow up was a nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anyone. We reserved the space from 11pm-1am over Labor Day Weekend and had an agreed to minimum. Over the course of the night, I as the bride, asked the bartenders and staff on site what was the status of the minimum, and I was assured everything was okay. My father also asked the staff over the course of the night if there was any remaining balance and if the minimum needed to be closed out as he would like to wrap up any and all costs, once again we were assured by the staff our party was all set as our wedding night festivities came to a close. We checked out of the hotel the following day as did our guests and heard nothing from the Siena staff again. 10 days after our event, we had a significant undocumented charge to our credit card while we were out of the country on our honeymoon, with the transaction run by Siena. Upon realizing this charge had occurred several days after it posted, we immediately reached out to Naitza who assured us she would look into it. After two follow up emails, we received feedback almost a week after our initial inquiry (2.5 weeks after the wedding party) with documentation of the drinks charged that night and the remaining balances owed with a final receipt. This was the first time we were provided with any support at all, weeks after Siena had unilaterally charged a significant amount to our card without notifying us. It was an unconscionable business practice that they originally charged our card without any proactive documentation and no follow up receipt. To add insult to injury, we had to follow up several times for reconciliation and feedback. It left a horrid taste and experience when coupled with the fact we asked multiple times the night of for confirmation of the minimum requirements and received assurances our party was all set in terms of our obligations. After back and forth with Naitza, we were told there was nothing Sienna could do because the amount was technically owed under the contract, notwithstanding their troubling billing practices, failure to provide timely documentation, and the apparent inability of the Sienna staff to convey correct information the night of our event. In addition, and even more puzzling, we were told that they cannot, and would not, take responsibility for whatever the onsite staff told us at the time. Naitza and the management team’s final recommendation was to contest the charge with our bank, which we felt was a ludicrous cop out. For future inquiries to use this space, all the restaurant awards do not offset the negligent business practices that negatively impact the customer along with the failure to do right by clients as we were the victims of multiple failures in communication. Although Sienna did apologize for their poor billing practices, and offered a gift card for future use, it was a frustrating and uncomfortable experience to manage while on our honeymoon. Customers be warned when considering a party booking.

One of the most DISAPPOINTING experiences of my life!!!! Extremely overpriced and the food wasn't horrible but it had absolutely no flavoring at all. Just bland and boring. Appetizer of scallops was ridiculously overpriced costing $18 for 3 small scallops. Waste of money and very average. We had a pasta dish with octopus which again was the most bland sauce I ever had. Just overall very underwhelming and especially annoying due to the very high prices. It would be one thing if their food was amazing but every thing was below average to average. Please dont waste your time until they lower prices and improve upon the flavoring of their food. Service was also horrible. It took almost 20 minutes to even get a menu!!! The only good thing about the place were the fries and ambiance.

K
Kayla Hall

Over priced. Very disappointed. Small portions, service was very nice; food was lack luster. Average at that; not worth the price. The seating is too small and claustrophobic. Left after I got my first drink and appetizer.
