Great place stopped in on a rainy day and spent some time that was sincerely enjoyed. The bubble tea was delicious, will return.
Quick, clean, followed social-distancing rules. Milk tea and boba as consistent as always. At an interesting, busy intersection between LES and Chinatown where you can see the Chrysler building in the distance as a cool aside.
Good bubble tea. Reliable. Not too sweet (mango green tea with lychee)
I love this location they are super quick drinks are great never a hit or miss the drink are always the same great taste.
The bubble teas are great, especially the lava pearl jasmine mt. Three guys are good too same as herbal jelly. I definitely recommend those the most! Has excellent manners too!
Great and fast! Loved the mango slushie
So good! Mango green tea with lychee pearls — no added sweetener; was naturally sweet.
The drinks came out fast and tasted good and the workers there treated me nicely. The store itself is a small store but it has a nice cozy vibe to it.
This place has very good boba tea for its price. It has a wide variety of drinks
Drinks made by Gavin are too notch. The food service provided along with the drinks given are all exceeding.
I really loved the lava pearls milk tea and it was delicious! It was probably one of my top milk teas this year and I was really surprised! This place is really small and you can order on a machine or with one of the staff. They were really quick and efficient, plus the location on the corner is super convenient. I highly recommend!
Lily's massage technique is amazing. It relieved my fatigue from the day and made me feel much more energetic. I highly recommend it to everyone, and I will come here often!
I have a pleasant time there, food is good 👍 definitely coming back am around the block anyway 😜
This place is not easy to find. It is located on the second floor of a small building. They serve dim sum at 9:30 a.m. The dim sum are carted around in steam carts. We tried some favorites: shrimp harkow, chicken feet, sticky rice with meat, shrimp and beef rice rolls. We also tried some "new" (new to us) dim sum and we were not diapponted. We were pleasantly surprised with the tag price which came to about $15/person with tip. Service is very good, staff is friendly. BTW, they will not accept credit card for less than $25 (before tax).
Definitely an interesting first dim sum experience. When they started carting up food to the table and offering it off I was confused. Figured it out pretty quick. All the food was fantastic. They have these flaky croissant like pastries with pork inside that were my favorite. Don't come for the decor. This is specifically an interesting dinning experience with great food. Have fun!
Been going to this CoCo for years and it's solid milk tea my only complaint is it's boba it's always clumped together, the drinks are pretty consistant, I usally go for the jelly since the boba is always in chucks and I can't drink it with a straw. The new drink series is really yummy!!
Not too far from Manhattan Bridge, we rode our bikes to the store. The staff was very friendly, kind and courteous, Efficient and clean place. It is carry out only .
The boba tea was delicious! The space is comforty, but however there's certainly a lack of enthusiasm from the staff at one point of the stay.
I had the berry punch, it was a great taste and very refreshing. The green tea added a unique layer. My only problem is the berries are very thick in the purée. Maybe that’s how the place makes a purée and I’m sure that some peoples cup of tea. The extra thick pulp just wasn’t for me. I feel like the smoothie might be my preference and will update my review once try it. Overall I’m sure it’s a healthy smoothie with all those vitamins and antioxidants. And it tasted good and left me feeling refreshed.
Milk tea was quite bland, boba was well cooked though.
I have been going to this place for dim sum ever since when I was little. Dim sum places are crowded, noisy/loud with staffs pushing food carts around. It's really busy around noontime. Food there is good, a bit pricey for some dishes, so we tends not to order something we can make at home. Most staffs there are old ladies/men and they speak Cantonese, no English. It's a great place for gathering/breakfast/lunch.
This is another grand banquette hall style restaurant tucked inside a mall under the Manhattan bridge. The vast spacious space is filled with your typical round tables and metal chairs we all know and love. We went for Dim Sum which can be a hit or miss depending on time. We arrived around 11am to a restaurant full of people. This is your Asian lady cart pushing Dim Sum. The variety here can also be hit or miss. They also have a table for prepared specialty dishes like clams. The usual Dim Sum staples…didn’t even appear until towards the end of our meal. The cart ladies are generally friendly and if you ask for something they don’t have they will get it for you. Oh, an be prepared to chase down the cart if you see something you like because as they say the early bird gets the worm and here if you wait by the time the cart gets to your table it might have ran out of the items you want. Think of as dash for your Dim Sum. You can burn of some extra calories so you can eat more!
Had chicken legs -this was soft and soaked in soup, vegetables, rice and other foods I forgot their names. Good price and they tag their food in alphabets, and stamp the ticket - left on the table for each order you make. It's summed up and payed for when you're done. It's my first experience in a Chinese restaurant, went there with my friends, the experience was not bad.
They serve dumplings style food, not regular Chinese takeout menu. I had mandarin speaking friends who knew the place, we had no problems ordering good stuff. Food is good , though not many options for vegetarians.
So I was here yesterday for a fundraiser. This building is like a mini mall so if it's your first time here and you are looking for something specific it might take you a while. Thankfully these days most people have cell phones so I called on of the organizers who directed me how to find it. This is a huge space and looks like a good space for a big party or special event. We were told there would be 12 courses and there sure were. Every table was given a family style platter of whatever was being served except dessert. Dessert was served on individual plates. At my table the server helped distribute to everyone when she brought the platter. When it was near the time for the next course she would come over and distribute what was left on the platter on the table to us. She was very professional and answered questions about the dishes the people at my table had questions about. It was a planned menu and everything seemed to flow well. We used audio-visual equipment during the dinner and had a DJ for the party afterwards but there were no issues. The bathrooms were made into gender neutral bathrooms with posted signs.
Food was good and the price is reasonable. The place feels a little crowded and noisy, as you'd expect from a popular Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. The dim sum cart doesn't come around frequently enough so you'd have to get up and get your own food from a stand if you are hungry it in a hurry.
Personally, nothing special about any of the drink, you get what you expect basically. Drink came out fast, that maybe the only good aspect. Drink were average, service vary, most of the time were nice but sometime were rude especially when speaking with lower volume. Were love if they speak louder when the order is done. Overall not too bad but not too exceptionally well either. (The tiny space for customers personally is not their fault. It NYC you talking about.)
It is an old school " dim sum " restaurant. Nothing has physically changed since the 70s. Carpet needs cleaning. Even the silverware is dented and we'll used. Good is tasty but heavy on the salt. Wait staff is hard to find. Even when one wants to pay the bill. Don't sit away from the kitchen, otherwise you might not get any food on the serving carts. Old school needs new decor and acoutraments.
Typical dim sum experience, but service felt a little lacking. The same cart kept coming past our table, not a lot of variety. What we did have was good, but would have liked to try more.
This was the 2nd time I visited 88 Palace. The first time I was here for dim sum. It was alright. The price was inexpensive and you could get a table fairly quickly. The 2nd time I was here for a banquet dinner and it did not really amaze me given the price of the banquet. We were served 8 dishes and there were 2 outstanding dishes among all. One of them was the walnut shrimp. They gave you a lot of shrimp and it was done right. The other dish I enjoyed was the stir fry beef. The rest of the dishes were mediocre. For example, the fried rice was worse than the one I can make. It was so plain it tasted almost as bland as white rice. The peking duck bun was also lacking the dipping sauce and duck was somewhat dry. The banquet table was also very small and they don't have a lazy Susan to help serve better. On an interesting note though, this place could turn into an after party spot because it is spacious and you can have DJ spin all night. Unfortunately, the sound system here is poor so you would have to be literally right in front of the DJ to really hear the music.
The boba was clumped up so it wouldn’t even go up the straw. I got the lava pearl latte, but I WATCHED them make it and it was just milk and boba… not sure if that was intentional but that’s def not a latte. I hope I just got a bad batch but the original bubble tea my brother got had hard boba so the consistency is just wrong.
I've been here coming here several years. The staff is rude for no reason. The store would be totally empty but they'll rush you asking "what do you want?" I wouldn't go out of my way to come here -- too bad it's along my commute. Yesterday I ended up placing a mobil order at the store b/c of their attitude. The drink was disappointing and they didn't bother calling my name or order number for pick up. The store got busy and folks were blocking the pick up counter -- hung around for 10 extra mins for no reason. I had to ask the employee for my drink.
Please do not come here under any circumstances . I had noticed the service here is very rude for a while but didn't really care much until I had problem with my drink . I ordered 50% sugar which normally has some sweets but today i didn't taste it at all and I called to ask if they can remake it. It's a $7 drink and I brought 2 . I would assume I want to be satisfy or at least drinkable. The guy at the shop said he already put sugar and there's nothing he can do about it .. he cannot remake it . I went back and ask if they could at least add some sugar to it , they were not happy about it but did it anyway , they reopen the seal on my cup and I felt like his fingers were all over in my cup already . Anyway I ended up trashing the drink and I would never return anymore . Coco seriously need to train their employees 🙄
