Opinions de Angelina Bakery & Pizza New York
Discovered this amazing bakery while exploring Times Square in NYC. Soo many fantastic choices you'll agree they should offer a tasting platter. From a fantastic assortment of sweets (croissants, donuts, Italian cookies, pastries & gelato) to savory (sandwiches and gourmet pizza) plus lots of drinks (handcrafted specialty coffees, sodas, waters and juices) there's something for everyone and it's a great spot to enjoy a break. They offer mini versions of some of the sweet items which is perfect when you want to try everything. Great flavors like pistachio, Nutella and apple cinnamon cheesecake really hit the mark. Every bite was yummee and you can really taste the fresh ingredients. Staff are super friendly and only happy to assist with smiles. The café was very clean despite being really busy. There's a sitting space outside and upstairs as well. Looking forward to coming back and trying some more of the delicious goodies.
Angelina Paris NYC has one of the best hot chocolates in the city—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced without being too sweet. The café is elegant and cozy, a great place to warm up on a chilly day. Just be prepared for crowds during peak hours, since it gets busy and finding a spot to sit can be tough.
•Delicious pastries and pizza! Their hot americano is also great— perfect for the chilly snowstorm weather. •Conveniently located in Times Square and walkable from my hotel. •Staff are accommodating and quick to serve. •Lines can get long, but the wait time is reasonable. • Will definitely be back to try their gelato and focaccia!
Sean and Nyaa at Angelina Bakery were amazing and very warm, and they truly made the visit a breeze. They prepared our drinks quickly and got our food out fast while still making us feel welcome. This beautiful Italian bakery on Broadway near 52nd Street has great pastries, including lemon loaves that are fresh and tasty. The fruit tarts are super delicious, and the warmed almond croissant with its rich almond filling is really good. With pizza slices, donuts, and so many good options, Angelina Bakery is definitely worth visiting.
This my 2nd time visiting Angelina’s. It was a different location this time. Food choice was pepperoni pizza. My sister had strawberry Bombolones, she said it was delicious. We also tried pistachio croissant. The service was great, the staff were helpful when we asked questions and the area. Atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back next time I come to NY.
OMG! Had I found this incredible Italian pastry shop on day one of our 5-day NYC trip, I would have eaten breakfast here every single day. They have serious goodies! Unfortunately, we didn’t make it there until day 3. I was obsessed with the Egg and Spinach Focaccia, ordering it two days straight. It's a game-changer: a fluffy, savory pastry that incorporates cheese, spinach, and whole baked eggs—a complete, flavor-packed breakfast. My wife’s Strawberry Cream Stuffed Croissant was also phenomenal (I gladly finished half!). So much so, that I went back the next day and repeated the order (all by myself), washing it down with a cup of ice-cold almond milk. Man, I am missing this joint! A truly unforgettable spot.
Angelina Bakery at Times Square is a fantastic place to find both sweet and savory pastries! Whether you’re craving a light snack or a truly indulgent treat, they’ve got a delicious selection that’s sure to please. Plus, the staff are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. You can either sit inside or outside, but sitting inside is usually more comfortable since Times Square can be a bit noisy during the day. Overall, it’s the perfect spot for a quick break with some amazing patisserie right in the heart of the city!
This place was fantastic. 10/10 from me. Food: amazing. Service: amazing. Atmosphere: amazing. Saul was extremely nice and attentive. he helped us out with everything we needed and did it in a very kind matter. i would recommend this place to anyone visiting new york. whether you need a quick bite to eat or you want to sit and try different things. their desserts are delicious and so are their croissants. will definitely be coming back to try some more!
I popped into the Angelina Italian Bakery for a quick drink whilst I waited for my wife to finish shopping at 'Loft', a couple of stores down on the same block. The Bakery was very bright, airey and clean with beautiful displays of food in the window and in refrigerated cabinets. Even though it was very quiet and I could have ordered at the counter I decided to order from 1 of the 2 screens near the entrance so I could easily see all the food & drinks options available. The Bakery has a large choice of food & drinks: Bombolones (light &fluffy Italian donuts), coffees, croissants, foccacia & pizza, pasta, cold plates, sandwiches, salads, cakes, desserts & tarts, gelato & beverages. I ordered a large cuppa English Breakfast tea with an almond croissant, which I ate at one of the tables downstairs opposite the service counter. There's also seating upstairs and I used the single toilet downstairs. The almond croissants was delicious, one of the best I've eaten during this trip to NYC. It was very buttery, flaky and fresh with a large amount of tasty almond paste mixed in with the croissant pastry in the middle. I would definitely be very tempted to try some of their other foods at another time.
Have gone here multiple times and I love the pizza, it’s delicious, wish they offered more variety on the coffee as it’s not a personal favorite. A lot of seating, upstairs is beautiful! However, besides the good food, decor, atmosphere - what really ties everything together is the employee Carmen. She’s such a joy, and always greets me with warmth! I am amazed by her composure when faced with rude customers, she’s kind & always strives to fix the situation. Shes the best asset to this place.
Excellent selection! The pastries were delicious, the cappuccino was perfectly light and the green tea was hot 😊 my only comment is I wish the tables inside weren't crammed together so 2 people could sit together without taking up 6 extra chairs unnecessarily. Other than that, highly recommend!
We went here the for dessert and it was spectacular. All of the desserts we had were delicious, chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake and Oreo cheesecake. The Raspberry mousse was my favorite and so cool because it looked like a raspberry too! I went back the next morning to grab breakfast before leaving town and the Boston cream donuts were probably the best I’ve ever had. We also had the Chantilly doughnut, which tasted like a cream puff. I would say that I did have to remind them to make my drinks, I waited for quite some time while other patrons walked in and out receiving theirs immediately, so I had to ask them and sure enough they forgot to make mine. When I informed them though they immediately made ours and when we did get them, they were absolutely delicious.

Brain dead staff. Clearly untrained. No signage. Send back at register because there was no way to know how to order. Pastry put in bag with two open ends. Ended on ground.

After a very satisfying Thai dinner at Wondee Siam Thai Restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, our evening didn’t quite feel finished yet. Someone suggested we continue the night with dessert, and since we were already in the neighborhood, we walked a few minutes over to Angelina Bakery. Angelina Bakery is one of those Italian bakeries in New York that many people seem to know about. It sits right on 8th Avenue, not far from Times Square and the Broadway theaters, so the location is undeniably convenient. From the outside, the storefront is bright and inviting, and once you step in, you immediately see the long display filled with pastries, bombolone, cakes, and other baked goods. It certainly gives the impression of a place that takes its desserts seriously. There were six or seven of us that night, and since the place was fairly busy downstairs, we ended up heading up to the second floor to sit. The upstairs seating area was actually quite comfortable. It felt a little calmer than the entrance level, which had a steady flow of people coming in and out. For a group gathering, it was a pleasant spot to settle down and continue the conversation. Naturally, with a group that size, we ordered quite a few things so everyone could try a bit of everything. There were a couple of bombolone, a glazed donut, a small cake topped with fresh strawberries, and a few other pastries that caught our attention in the display. Now, this is where our experience became a little… curious. Despite the reputation of the bakery and the number of desserts on our table, none of the items really made us pause and say, “This is exceptional.” We all tried a bite or two of each dessert, passing the plates around, but somehow most of them ended up sitting there half-finished. In fact, by the end of it, nearly every plate still had quite a bit left. Some pastries weren’t even halfway eaten. We joked among ourselves for a moment, wondering if perhaps it was our own fault. After all, we had just come from a rather generous Thai dinner. Maybe we simply weren’t in the best state to appreciate sweets at that point. Or perhaps our tastes just lean toward a different style of dessert. Whatever the reason, nothing on the table quite stood out as memorable that evening. Considering the price point, which is not exactly inexpensive, the overall impression for us landed somewhere in the realm of “perfectly fine,” but not necessarily something we would go out of our way for. At some point, someone suggested ordering wine instead, and strangely enough, that turned out to be the highlight of our time there. We ended up sitting for quite a while, slowly sipping wine and continuing our conversation. The atmosphere was relaxed, and with friends around the table, the evening still felt warm and enjoyable. In the end, that might have been the real value of the visit. Angelina Bakery, at least from what we experienced that night, works very well as a convenient meeting point in a lively part of the city. It’s comfortable enough to sit, chat, and take a break from walking around Midtown. As a place to gather with friends, it certainly serves that purpose. But when it comes to the desserts themselves, our group left feeling a bit undecided. Not disappointed exactly—just not particularly impressed either. Then again, that’s part of the charm of exploring food in a city like New York. A place that others absolutely adore might not always align with your own taste, and that’s perfectly fine. Sometimes the highlight of the evening isn’t the pastry on the plate, but the company around the table. And in that sense, the night turned out just fine.
Came for the hot chocolate, decided to get some small bites too. I got the signature hot chocolate and pastry combo, that came with their signature pastry. The hot chocolate was amazing. The pastry just tasted sweet to me. Was supposed to taste like hazelnut but I didn't get it. Id suggest getting hot chocolate and a different pastry. My partner got salmon Benedict and the egg was undercooked. Like pretty raw. But man....that hot chocolate makes it worth a visit!
This bakery was right across our hotel on our New York trip. Ordered a capuchino. Needed a bit more sugar and after that it was yummy. Chocolate Boston cream bombolone and strawberry bombolone were good. My son had a hot chocolate. He said it was okay but that it Tasted like Dunkin’ Donuts hot chocolate. They have a large selection of pastries, sandwiches even pasta dishes and pizza.

Hot chocolate does not taste like Angelina’s in Paris, so yes, I’m disappointed. Also served too hot, it burned my tongue. Pastries taste great.

cold pizza slices and cold croissants. With it being cold outside they could have helped with just making sure the food is warm. But all requests were denied
Unfortunately, even though the place looks great the pastries not made great very sugary and very generic. Also their coffee is horrendous. There was four of us. We got coffee, drinks and none …
Very unpleasant experience this morning. Ordered a croissant with egg and bacon and when I started eating it was super cold inside, requested to get it warmed.. employee said; more? I said, yes it’s completely cold inside like if it was on the fridge. Then he goes to warm it takes forever then my croissant comes back to em wrapped in a new paper just to hide that he burned my croissant and didn’t want to go through the trouble of making another one. Here is a picture of the croissant he gave to me. What a shame I was so excited to try this bakery. Disgusting. After this treatment I honestly just left upset with my breakfast and waste of money and time.
