Opinions de BLVD Bistro New York
The food was excellent . Ordered the shrimp and grits. Cheddar grits with bacon and butter and a biscuit. I will definitely be back. I also ordered the sisterita drink. That was very very tasty except the bar tender spilled some of the drink on the bar top. Very nice decor though. I will definitely be back to try other menu items
Food was tasty. Service was great as well. Dining area was neat and clean. We had a party of 4. Everyone was happy with their dishes. The lobster and crab cake was delish. You could clearly see the lobster meat mixed in the crab cake! The shrimp and grits was good. The shrimp were a overdone. We shared a few sides, the greens and potato salad were "slap your mama" good. It was a very cold and frigid day in NY. (Sunday Feb 8, 2026)My only complaint was the available seating was near the window and it was very cold. There extreme temperatures that day so I don't think there was much that could be done. I will definitely return on a warmer day.
The food was impeccable and the service was just perfect. Our server Jamie was very attentive and took everyone’s order and so delightfully cheerful and fun but did his job very professionally . The atmosphere was quiet since it was a Monday evening but we were there a party of 10 celebrating our friend Birthday . I told Our server we will be back again very soon.
The food was exceptionally good! Great flavors and seasoning! I enjoyed my meal and the kind service. Great place to go with friends. Enjoyed the restaurant week menu, which had some nice options. Definitely one to check out.
Came to BLVD Bristro in Harlem for my birthday from Southern New Jersey. I seen an Instagram post on this restaurant and it definitely lived up to the hype. Ordered a peach Mimosa pitcher and that was delicious. The flavors hit perfectly. For our meals, we ordered the shrimp and grits, the catfish and eggs with cheese grits and a biscuit. I ordered a side of chicken sausage gravy to go with the biscuit and a single pancake. I am VERY particular about my grits and usually do not order them at any restaurant BUT the grits here were good and cooked very well. Everything flowed together perfectly. AND the chicken sausage gravy was soooo flavorful. You must get it if you go. The vibes were there. Great ambiance and great energy. Our reservation was for 11:30am on a Sunday. Walked in to gospel music playing. Which I loved! I believe at 1pm the DJ came on and started with some house music. It wasn't too loud but great vibes. The staff was AMAZING. Everyone super friendly. It showed that they worked together as a team because they all made sure we enjoyed ourselves. I wish I lived closer to BLVD Bistro, I would be a regular. Enjoy!
Great food and atmosphere. The shrimp and grits were well prepared. The salmon was crispy and very flavorful on the inside. As for the atmosphere……DJ had us vibing with some R&B classics. The food arrived quickly and the waitress was very kind. Definitely would recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a taste of the real Harlem.
This establishment has it all; Great vibes great atmosphere, a dj playing music, the whole nine. The music was actually a little loud for my taste, as I found it difficult to have a conversation with someone sitting across the table. Another thing to note is that the drink prices at the table are nearly DOUBLE unless you order at the bar. Not a drinker; don't know how normal that is, but it was alarming. Also the food has a great taste, but the portion sizes left me wanting more. The menu pricing is a bit ambitious, to say the least, and it felt like I was doing the owners more of a favor by showing support. But for these prices, you can find higher quality elsewhere. I ordered their burger and fries, which had a sauce and some sauteed onions and that's it. Granted it was a decently sized burger, it didn't have any additional trimmings that would improve the visual appeal. The fries were unspectacular, average diner quality fries. All things considered, this is a soul food restaurant, not a burger joint. The wings were tasty, the dirty rice was absolutely amazing, and I liked it well enough to go again.
Literally the best food I’ve ever gotten, food is amazing the vibe? Ambiance to die for!! Come here if you want a good time. Blvd Bistro deserves ALL the stars! The food was flavorful, the staff was friendly, and the owner went above and beyond for us and blessed us with free food. You can feel the love in the service and the dishes. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out on one of Harlem’s gems. 💛
I came here for all-day brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend reservations because it gets very busy. Service was good. I really enjoyed the cocktails and the food! The food was delicious and the drinks were strong. The music is pretty loud which is my only complaint but that is to be expected. Overall, I had a good experience
We were in town and made reservations for a group here. I knew I wasn't gonna be able to eat a lot so I got the lobster crab cakes and a side of mac and cheese. Y'all... I knew when I should have stopped eating but I just couldn't. It was all so good! I'm usually not impressed with lobster or crab cakes because of how bready it usually is but these were full of lobster and crab and flavor! Our server and the DJ were awesome. It was a fabulous experience! I'll be back when I come to New York again
Went on a Sunday for brunch and it was a vibe from start to finish. The atmosphere was dope, the energy was great, and the drink selection was elite. Every dish we had was on point. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned just right and full of flavor. Definitely one of those spots you want to lock in a reservation. Highly recommend.
I love it here!!! The Staff is welcoming, very professional. The Energy & Vibe of the restaurant is like being at Your Family Reunion. The Food is so Good everyone is Happy,Dancing, singing. It doesn't get Any better than that!! Hats off the the Owners/Cooks/Servers/Dishwashers,Etc.......Keep Up the Good Work.
I recently visited Blvd Bistro for a friend's birthday brunch and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was lively, with great music, delicious drinks, and an overall fantastic vibe. Our hostess, Chynah, was an absolute gem—so sweet and accommodating. The food was excellent, with everyone at our table ordering something different and enjoying their meals. The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. While it was crowded, it added to the energy rather than feeling overwhelming. I’d definitely recommend making a reservation. The bar was also a whole vibe on its own. Highly recommend!
This was my first time dining here. As a barginista I love me a happy hour. However, you must be seated at the bar to get the deal. So I returned to have a Sista-Rita (Delicious). The food was pretty good. The two dishes ordered was turkey meatloaf and steak with sides. It was pretty damn good. Sharing is caring. I also got rave reviews from those I shared the leftovers with. The food was flavorful and the steak was nice and tender. It was also very nice portion sizes. I smashed the next round on my own. Lol The vibe was dope too. There was a DJ that played into the night. Yes, I will return. Check it out for yourself. Don't just take my word. Lol
I came on a Sunday for brunch for the first time and I had a great time! My friends and I weren’t a fan of the food and the cocktails we chose. Their steak, eggs and home fries entree wasn’t good at all. My eggs had way too much parsley, the steak seemed wet and not seasoned good and was on top of the hash browns which made the potatoes really soggy and they also tasted very salty. Thankfully it was cooked correctly, unlike my friends plate she ordered medium rare and it came out brown! It was comped and she had the shrimp and grits which tasted way better! We had a great time for the sing along part which started more in the night. We had a mimosa at first and it was perfectly made! My second drink was very strong but it’s okay I didn’t feel like complaining about it. The dj & hype woman I was great and kept the customers happy and singing! If I was to come back I would def. come back for pancakes and bacon lol and of course to sing my heart out!
Great atmosphere with live DJ. Vibes and clientele are on point. Service was quick and food was served in large portions. This all gets negated for me when I’m charged an automatic 2.5% ‘restaurant fee’ AND 20% auto gratuity for a party of 3 people. Prices are high as it is, this is just plain greedy.
I’m not sure where to begin. I went to Blvd Bistro for what was supposed to be lunch, or perhaps dinner. The restaurant was short-staffed that day, which is understandable I guess things do happen. The waiter was very friendly, but we waited a long time for our food. I ordered lamb chops with broccoli and mashed potatoes, but I don’t understand the hype about this place. The music was good, and the atmosphere was nice, but the food was disappointing. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant box mix, my lamb chop was greasy, and the broccoli looked a bit brown. Will I return? Probably not, unless it’s just for drinks and to enjoy the music.
I happened to be in NYC so we (4) took in a brunch. We did not have a reservation and were happy to get a seat. I thought the host was very honest and upfront when before offering a table telling me the table time was a 90 minute limit. I thought this was actually perfect as I had to be to LGA for my flight. As we were seated we were enjoying family conversation when we realized, we had not even been offered water yet? Which begged the question, when does the timer start. Finally our waitress "Mia" did greet us and we were served water. She took our full order including 2 catfish dishes, 2 shrimp and grits dishes, 4 cocktails and a coffee. Cocktails came out first, nice and very tasty, very enjoyable for all. The issue here is the coffee, being the absolute easiest task to achieve not coming out even after asking a second time when the drinks came out. When asked, Mia stated she is the one that serves/makes the coffee. So where is the coffee even after seemingly an additional 8 minutes? Unfortunately, as the coffee arrived we were already well into our drinks and had to turn it away. Our food arrived and the shrimp and grits 4/5 were very good, the dishes seem small for the price but they are packed and we both were full, the home fries 4/5 I found to be very good as well, seasoned well with the onions and peppers were a plus. The two catfish dishes 3/5 were lackluster and dry, not at all flaky and really not seasoned. It lacked that fresh out of the fryer look and taste. We all agreed that the biscuits were the freshest and fluffiest thing we had this afternoon. During our meal Mia did check on us once and I appreciated that although some in my party questioned it, we did also have to request more water after having empty water glasses for 12 minutes (after the coffee, i did wonder how long that would take), perhaps investing in carafes for each table is best or at least checking in with tables and if the water is empty, refill them. We did enjoy an additional round of drinks, very good drinks and we enjoyed them. It's the small things, get those right, and at these prices then is no excuse for not executing those, we also requested salt and pepper, did not come until our meals were half done, why? There is an automatic 20% Gratuity added on to your bill. The service level we received today was not deserving of 20%, and I tip extra most everywhere I dine. This meal did not command a $56 tip in any way. It serves as a gimme for the wait staff and doesn't promote good practices, why demonstrate excellence when I already know this party is at least $40+ with limited effort. I don't care about the price of any meal, when I'm out with family, it is what it is for me. As a Manager/Business Owner with 23+ years of experience I do have an issue with small executable issues, it's the small things that tanked this review.
I heard many great things about Blvd Bistro and was looking forward to this visit. The staff was great and very pleasant. And the atmosphere was dope. It wasn’t busy at 2pm on a Monday. Drinks were tasty. But the food!!!! Sadly it was not what I expected. Crab cakes were Devine as well as the catfish and the greens were okay. The menu items I didn’t like was the fried chicken and the fax and cheese my two favorite dishes. There was no seasoning on the chicken and the Mac was just noodles and cheese no flavor. After this experience I would give this restaurant another try and change what I order to try mor items. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
I wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately I found hair in my shrimp and grits twice—once while dining in and again in the remade to-go order. Given the price point, this was very disappointing. I hope the kitchen reviews its hygiene protocols. The atmosphere itself was decent, and a few staff members were polite and attentive. However, repeated hygiene issues and inconsistent service overshadowed the experience.
I take pride in giving credit where its honestly due. The food was good, the atmosphere .... it is very lively if that's what you like but its very difficult to hold a conversation. The music is too loud. The service was good. Here's what I really didn't appreciate. The tip was already added to the bill!!..I think that's very rude. Why are YOU telling me what to tip? I've dined at Michelin star restaurants and THEY dont do that. Are you so unsure about your service that you have to add the tip? Will NOT be visiting again 😒
If you visit BLVD Bistro, know that you’re going for the vibes and nothing else. The food is okay but the prices are ridiculous. (Pro Tip: buy the grits, eggs and catfish individually instead of the breakfast as advertised on the menu) We had a reservation for a set time and over 1.5 hours later… we were seated. I know what you’re thinking “why didn’t you leave?”… We sat outside, the breeze was blowing, the people going in and out became our entertainment. Plus we really wanted to give Sunday Brunch a try. Okay, we made it in… the DJ and host announced there would be a sing-a-long! Dope! Maybe this thing can be turned around. Water was poured, we declined since there were floaters in the water. I purchased bottled waters instead. Our table host came to take our order, nice enough guy but really not built for the position, yet. The food took damn near an hour to come out, the appetizers were served with the meals, one order was wrong and the other was missing. At that point no amount of singing could save this experience. We asked for to-go containers without really touching our food. Over all - the entertainment is cool but the service is slumped. BTW- it’s not a big space.
Came for Thanksgiving pre-fixed menu. Sat at 3:34. Didn’t get drinks till about 4:30. The one drink I had was good. First course at 5:30, Cesar salad, mine had 1 crouton. The gumbo was broth with one shrimp, no sausage. We only got 1 rice shooter (rice in a condiment cup) after asking several times. Same with the biscuits. About 6:30 there was a man who came out to apologize and inform of a shift change. We got our food at about 6:45. But a plate was missing. We had to ask for the missing plate. All the meats were salty. The greens and mashed potatoes were mid. The Mac and cheese was okay. The entire table didn’t finish their food. The peach cobbler was sold out when it came time for the dessert. Didn’t get dessert. Left at about 7:45 even more hungry than when I came. They only asked to refill the water once. I’m sure it’s a good establishment but I wouldn’t go back nor recommend. I paid for a pre fix only got some food. Smfh. I’d like to add I had another friend there and they had the same bad service and food experience. If this is something new, I don’t think a holiday was an appropriate time to try this. Unorganized and bad food.
