A go-to spot for Cajun-style seafood boils and hands-on dining. Absolutely fresh oysters shucked to order—just a squeeze of lemon or a little sauce and they’re perfect in one bite. The lobster roll was amazing too, served on buttery toasted bread and packed with big chunks of lobster meat. We also ordered the build-your-own seafood boil and chose the hottest level (Hot 🌶️🌶️🌶️). Gloves are provided, so no worries about getting messy. We got 4 lbs total, including a huge stone crab that was full of rich roe and sweet crab meat. The snow crab legs were easy to crack with the tools provided—one whole leg came out in a perfect piece. Both head-on and headless shrimp were super fresh, along with clams and lobster options. Honestly, the biggest surprise was the sides—broccoli, potatoes, and corn soaked in the sauce were so flavorful we couldn’t stop eating. We tried the lemonade (lots of flavors to choose from) and finished everything off with ice cream. Such a satisfying meal from start to finish. Highly recommend!
I came here for a Valentine’s Day date with my husband. I made reservations online and we were seated right away upon arrival. I ordered their ‘cap’trisuns’, citrus flavor. Personally, the drink tasted a bit too sweet for my liking and not enough citrus flavor, but still good nonetheless. For appetizers, we got their fried calamari with a side of cajun fries. The calamari and side of sauce tasted great, and the fries were well seasoned. For our main, we got the pick two option, picking snow crab and head-off shrimp with a side of potatoes. We also decided to get it extra hot (which is a dollar extra). We both love spicy food, and we totally underestimated the spice level, but everything was so delicious! Crab legs were easy to open, and the shrimp was plentiful. Our only complaint was that the potatoes were a bit hard, possibly slightly undercooked. Overall, a great experience and delicious food ❤️ I recommend this place for lovers of seafood 🦐🦞🦀
The oysters were way bigger than expected and tasted super fresh, especially with lemon and cocktail sauce. The garlic bread and garlic pasta were both really solid, and the lemon pepper fries were addictive. The lobster roll was a highlight, not too heavy, nicely balanced, and the buttery toasted bread made it feel way better than the average one. We went with the Cap’t Loui sauce and it honestly made everything taste good. The seafood boil was generous and satisfying, with fresh, well cooked seafood across the board. The only small miss was the potatoes, but everything else soaked up the sauce perfectly. It’s located in Ktown and super convenient to get to.
Great new seafood spot in K-Town! Just tried the newly opened Capt Loui in Koreatown and was pleasantly surprised. The space is much bigger than I expected, with seating upstairs as well, so it doesn’t feel cramped at all. We ordered a classic seafood boil and everything came out fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The sauce was rich and buttery with a nice kick, and the seafood was cooked just right — not overdone. Portions were generous and great for sharing. Service was friendly and efficient, and the whole vibe felt like a classic American seafood boil spot, right in the middle of K-Town. Definitely a fun option if you’re in the area and want something different from the usual Korean BBQ. Will be back 👍
This place is such a hidden gem in ktown! If you also love seafood please try!!! Lunch set for lobster roll is only 19.9 but what you get is top notch. We also enjoyed the seafood with spicy Cajun seasoning. Everything was delicious! Especially snow crab legs!!! The lemon pepper fried are also really good 😋 I’m going back!
Hands down my favorite spot for a seafood boil! The Pick 4 Combo with their signature sauce (Mild) was perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh. Don't skip the Garlic Noodles—they are the perfect companion to the seafood bag. We also loved the fun Cap’Trisun drink pouches and ended the night with the warm, crispy Beignets. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was great for a messy, fun dinner with friends. Highly recommend!
Very luxurious feeling food establishment! The service was very good, all the servers super kind and attentive. Additionally, the decor and lighting made the atmosphere very cozy. The coziness of it all came from the energetic bustling from the movement, but it tied the restaurant’s vibe all together. The food was extraordinary! Whoever put this establishment together is definitely very smart and I will definitely come back. For sure reserve in advance as it does get busy. :)
Absolutely amazing seafood boil! Everything was really, really good full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great seafood boil. One tip though: if you're ordering, be careful with the spice level. Even the mild is extremely hot, so I wouldn't suggest ordering medium or hot unless you really love serious heat. Overall, an excellent experience and Il detinitely be back!
This place is amazing for a party of 6! We got 6lbs of delicious seafood and it came pretty fast. Service was amazing, the workers are nice and accommodating. Price is also reasonable and they have various promotions going on. For the 4lbs combo, we got unlimited garlic noodles and even got to take some home. Definitely recommended!
I loved this place! Was near k town and walked by and seen this little gem. Definitely worth every penny. I got the Dungeness crab and scallops, delicious! You can’t go wrong with their signature Cajun. Will def be back.

Came here hungry. Left here questioning my upper body strength and life choices—in the best way possible. Ordered the Pick 2 lb bag with snow crab and EZ peel shrimp, mild sauce… which is a LIE because it was mildly addictive. The bag showed up like it had personal beef with my table. Corn in the bag? Yes. Boiled eggs in the bag? Obviously. Lemon wedge on top like a tiny citrus crown saying “you’re welcome.” 👑🍋 The fried shrimp basket was so crispy it deserved its own sound effects. Crunch heard three tables away. Cajun fries? Seasoned like they were trying to win a Grammy. And let’s talk about the New England clam chowder—thick, creamy, comforting, and emotionally supportive. I felt seen. By the end, my hands were covered in sauce, my soul was full, and my napkin supply was absolutely obliterated. The table paper said “The perfect mess you won’t regret” and honestly? Truer words have never been printed. If you don’t leave Cap’t Loui wearing half your meal and smiling like you just survived a delicious maritime battle, you did it wrong. 10/10 would crack, peel, dip, repeat. 🦀🔥🦐
We've wanted to try a seafood boil for ages and this place was really well reviewed so we thought we'd try it. You choose what you want in your boil and then the sauce. We didn't add any sweetcorn or potatoes because it said they're included but it's only one piece so we would have added more if we'd known. The seafood was all really fresh and the fries were great. Big place which wasn't too busy when we were there so it was nice and quiet. They do provide napkins, gloves and bibs but it does get messy. There are toilets/sinks to clean up with toothpicks etc which is a nice touch!

We randomly found this seafood boil while strolling Koreatown and we couldn't be happier. As soon as we entered we were greeted by the host and taken to our seats. Sam was an attentive and informative waiter from the beginning. He gave us some menu tips and the recommendations were spot on 👌 Eso was also one of the waitstaff and she made sure we were well taken care of. Overall a well functioning team at Capt Loui in Koreatown 😁

My first time in New York! Decided on seafood tonight & found this place on tiktok. Really good food! I chose fish with a side of garlic pasta.. Turned out to be good, the fish tasted FRESH! Though I didn't get a chance to get pics, my family enjoyed their meals as well. And although our server never came back to our table to check us after taking our order, we'll definitely be back!! 😋 🍝
This was to celebrate the Birthday of my beautiful wife DJ MC Rose, and that made the night even more special but Omg where do I start, I Love This place let me count the ways. * from the moment me and my wife walked in we was greeted with warm respect, like a family friend that everyone looks up to. * The ambience was so welcoming and had my eyes glued to the decor. * The waitress/host was so kind and intuitive to every need from making sure we picked the right size bag, to helping me with my straw while my hands were covered in “delicious goodness”. * Even the serving process was so well prepared that it almost felt like the food magically appeared in front of us. Cap’t Loui never disappoints! The Cajun boil was amazing and the seafood was incredibly fresh. The sauce is next level, we had the House Cap’t Loui Sauce and paired with the seafood in our boiler bag was addictive. The staff were super friendly and made sure everything was perfect. It’s a beautiful casual/ lively setting. Oh and those Cap’trisuns, Ms. Green and Pina Colada were so refreshing and fun to sip. Definitely one of NYC’s top spots for seafood lovers! Highly recommend.

WOW! This place was spectacular. Came with friends and had such an amazing time at my first ever seafood boil :)) our server Pop who greeted us initially had amazing energy, and all the other servers were so attentive and kind. This is one of the most beautiful seafood place I’ve been to in a while. The workers are very friendly and caring. The proportions are very good. I ordered the lunch special, 2 orders of easy shrimp with a side order of corn. I also ordered Cajun fries which were impeccable. We also orders the boil of clams , crabs , mussels and calamari. Excellent food!!! The amount of oil and spice is just incredible. 3lbs set is enough for 2 people. It’s pretty heavy in garlic butter, even the cap’t loui sauce is more garlic buttery than Cajun. We got medium spicy so I would assume if you want some kick maybe you want to up the spice a little. Some of my favorites are the garlic noodles. Dip it in the sauce 🧑🍳. Broccoli as well, it’s so juicy and flavorful. The only downside is that they only give a little bit of broccoli per serving. Service-wise is not too good. Not a lot of customers but the service lacking a bit. But a lot of things are self-serve (new gloves, phone bag, water) so meh. Overall a great experience would come again for the food for sure.
