We love Club A SO MUCH!! We’re from Dallas, TX and came here with the Groupon deal (~$150 for two appetizers, two entrees, a bottle of wine, two desserts). The first time we came was right after we got engaged. Everything was amazing, so we came back for our honeymoon. We requested the upstairs since it looked so cute the last time we were there. They accommodated and the upstairs is so beautiful with the lights and the decor. Bruno himself (the owner) came up to our table and congratulated us. They also took a photo of us and printed it, giving it to us with a very sweet message. The filet, creamed spinach, whipped potato puree, and tiramisu were all so fantastic. The vibe was so warm and intimate. The food was delicious! We went during restaurant week, so we got a great deal on a three coarse meal. Staff were super kind and helpful with surprising my partner with a birthday dessert!
Had an outstanding experience at Club A Steakhouse. From the moment we walked in, the service was phenomenal. The owner personally came over to our table, welcomed us, and thanked us for coming in, which added such a warm and personal touch to the evening. The steak was absolutely incredible—cooked to perfection with amazing flavor and tenderness. The sides were also excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. Honorable mention to the appetizers as well—the Chicken Parm Pizza with vodka sauce was delicious, and the steakhouse bacon appetizer was outstanding. Both were the perfect way to start the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with great food, great service, and an inviting atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier steakhouse in NYC. 🥩🍷
I love this place. It reminds me of a forgotten pre-COVID NYC restaurant culture. The owners came by a few times to make sure we were well taken care of (we were) - you just don’t see that anymore. I had dinner here last night with a friend and, like all the other times before, they didn’t disappoint. The menu is perfect - just the right amount of options where you can always find something you’re craving but not an overwhelming amount of options where you spend 20 minutes because you can’t make up your mind. We tried the oysters for the first time last night and I was shocked by how MASSIVE they were (and of course they were fresh and delicious). The star of the show is always the steak - porterhouse for two, medium rare. You don’t need any sauce with it, it’s perfect without it, but they do offer 4 great ones. We had it with the creamed spinach, mac and cheese, and beef tallow fries - all of them were glorious. We indulged and tried their desserts - tiramisu, cheesecake, and crème puffs. They were bomb. A menu item I’ve had in the past is the chicken parm pizza. It’s a very unique item that’s great as an app. The service is also excellent. Waiters are pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. There is also an extensive wine list and the cocktails are also great. This is a perfect spot for a date, business lunch/dinner, or for a great meal with friends. I love it!
Went here for dinner on Valentine’s Day and had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and attentive; the service was lovely; we didn’t feel rushed and the food was great. The owner is so sweet. It is family owned and you can sense the love and pride in it. If you want a cozy, authentic dining experience, I highly recommend! We will definitely be back.
I’ve been to Club A Steakhouse a handful of times over the past 15 or so years, and I just realized I never left a review. This place is wonderful for a multitude of reasons. 1) Ambiance - From the second you walk in the door, everything is absolutely gorgeous, and any room they put you in will make you feel like you’re rich. Just stunning all around 2) Food - the foot has always been very very good, but something about this last time…every bite of the filet tasted like butter, the creamed spinach and Mac and cheese were delectable, and the desserts were the perfect finish (the profiteroles…wow) 3) Restaurant Week - At a time where most steakhouses are scaling down their RW menus, Club A still offers many appetizers, entrées, and sides all for the actual restaurant week price. Good for them for keeping the spirit of the week and still bringing people in who might not be able to afford it instead of just trying to make money. 4) Bruno - the first time I came here, I was fresh out of college. When I walked in, a dapper looking gentlemen in a double breasted suit greeted me and shook my hand before I was shown to my table. That was Bruno. And over the course of 15 years and the handful of times I’ve been, Bruno has been at that door without fail. Kudos to him for not only running a wonderful place, but for being so prideful. He deserves to be. He’s doing a wonderful job, and him being there at the door every time just adds an extra elegance that many steakhouses don’t have. All that being said, I’d highly recommend Club A to anyone looking for a good steakhouse. You won’t be disappointed! And thank you all for a wonderful meal every time!
My daughters and I very much enjoyed a Valentine weekend girls’ night at Club A, where we certainly had our fill of primo filets and a sampling of the most amazing desserts. We were also given a beautiful memento photograph keepsake to take with us. We will be sure to come back again ❤️
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary. We’re not from here so I just searched for steakhouses and Club A came up and happened to have a Friday evening reservation available. When we walked in, they had a wonderful jazz trio playing and gorgeous decor and atmosphere. Once sat, I ordered an amaretto sour, which was delicious and not as punch-you-in-the-face sour as I’ve had in the past; it was a fresher, lighter flavor, and so good! We started with a delicious Caesar salad and each of us got a NY strip, with a side of onion rings to share. This was the best steak I’ve ever had. Because we were there celebrating, we received a photo taken by the hostess in a thank you letter signed by Bruno, the owner, and complimentary dessert, which they modified to accommodate my boyfriend’s peanut allergy. I would recommend Club A to anyone looking for a nice night out; we plan on returning whenever we’re in NYC!
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful evening at Club A and loved every bit of the food, service, and atmosphere. The live music added a nice touch to our romantic evening out. For our meal we started with the Caesar salad and thick cut bacon, followed by the Ribeye, mashed potatoes and broccoli. All of it was delicious, and the perfect amount of food for 2 people. Do not skip the dessert! The chocolate cake and carrot cake were to die for. On our way out we had the pleasure of meeting the owner Bruno and learned he opened the restaurant over 40 years ago. We’re always happy to contribute to the success of a long time NYC staple. We will definitely be back.
Omg, beautiful and cozy restaurant. I took my best friend for her birthday here and we even spoke to the owner. We were looking at the family pictures and he even took his time to explain to us each of them. Really nice restaurant , great customer service and the food was exquisite.
We came to Club A for Christmas Eve dinner and I hesitate to share how much we loved it because I want to be able to get a reservation again next year. We were a party of 7; four adults, three teens and everyone raved. The food was delicious — steaks perfectly seasoned and cooked, mashed potatoes I can’t stop thinking about and crowd pleasing desserts. But as much as I enjoyed the food (and drinks) it was the ambiance that has stayed with me. The staff was warm and welcoming and Bruno himself thanked us for celebrating the holiday with them. From the red walls to the old photos that adorned them, Club A was more than a nice dinner… it was an experience and we can’t wait to return.
I’d leave TEN stars if I could. We didn’t know what to expect when we walked in. We were out shopping all day and stumbled upon this perfectly quaint steakhouse. The decorations outside had that quintessential Christmas charm you’d hope for in the city. The service was incredible - from the moment we walked in we were treated by the nicest gentleman like he was waiting all night for us specifically to walk in the door. (According to the statement on their menu, it turns out they treat everyone that way!) We were so impressed. The food was INCREDIBLE. We ordered crab salad, filet mignon, Chilean sea bass and creamed spinach. Good food is scarfed down. Impeccable food is savored one bite at a time. That’s what we did at Bruno’s. From drinks to (complimentary) dessert, we had a PERFECTLY lovely time, with a gorgeous view and live jazz. Our night in the city couldn’t have ended any better. Imagine our surprise when we left to learn the man who treated us like celebrities was the owner himself! WOW. We cannot give enough thanks or a higher review to Bruno’s. You knocked it out of the park. If anyone has read this far, run don’t walk the next time you have a chance to eat at Bruno’s.
We had a wonderful experience at Club A Steakhouse celebrating multiple birthdays! From the moment we arrived, everything was warm, attentive, and seamless. Our server, Alfredo, was absolutely amazing—so kind, professional, and genuinely hospitable. He made our celebration feel extra special. The porterhouse steaks were perfection—the cut, the temperature, everything was spot on. The appetizers and side dishes complemented the meal beautifully, and every bite was delicious. The hostesses were also incredibly thoughtful, carefully checking our coats to make sure there were no spills or accidents, which really showed their attention to detail. From beginning to end, everything was amazing. Truly a great experience, and we can’t wait to come back!
Celebrated our 11th anniversary here. The food was fantastic. The ambiance was romantic. Live music was playing. The service was fast and efficient. The whole experience was what I expected and wanted. Thank you, from the staff, to the cooks, and manager. They took our photo and made us feel so special.

We had an amazing time here last night to celebrate my partner running the NYC marathon. The restaurant is lovely, not overly crowded and has lovely feels to it. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We got the porterhouse for 2, with broccoli and fries on the side. The steak was the best I have ever had! And they take the time to explain the two different cuts. We then got our picture taken and bought over to us by the owner, Bruno, which was such a lovely touch. They also gave us a selection of desserts on the house. This was by far our favourite meal in NYC and will definitely be back. Thank you all!

Not only the prime location (near my home), the steak itself is awesome like flavor, how to cook, searing. Not too salty, vibe is upscaled. Visited two times this year. Will re visit soon def. Lamb and t bone are highly recommended.
This is by far the best steakhouse in New York. If you are a steak lover, the temperature and sear on the New York Strip is perfection. The Mac and cheese is also divine. They also gave us mushroom ravioli and a dessert platter with tiramisu, cheesecake, and cream puffs on the house. Unbeatable service and food, could not recommend more. Also, the ambience is amazing! From the fall decorations to the music, such a romantic hidden gem.
This is a great restaurant. Very New York style. The food was very good. We especially like the macaroni and cheese. The owner is super nice. We spoke with him. The wait staff is also terrific and very attentive and willing to assist in any way. It's a very small and quaint atmosphere The place where you can return have your experience mimicked very easily.
I had the cutest anniversary dinner at Club A Steakhouse, and I am genuinely ashamed it took me this long to discover this charming place! As someone who is always searching for the best steak houses in NYC, Club A is a spectacular find. The meat was absolutely on point, and we loved everything they offered, from the moment we walked in. The team, especially the host and all the staff, was incredibly friendly. General Manager Bruno was the absolute kindest—he went out of his way to make sure our moment was captured with a photo. This is a sweet gem of a restaurant, and I am already planning my return. Bruno’s Club A Steakhouse more than exceeded our expectations! The red walls and cozy atmosphere were a throwback to an old school feel that you don’t see anymore. Bruno himself was making the rounds and introduced himself. We got to hear a brief history of Club A and how the restaurant is almost 50 years old! What an accomplishment! For dinner, we had filet and crab cake, along with asparagus and thick cut bacon. Everything was superb! Service was top notch. Our server AND Bruno made sure to routinely check in on us. We love visiting NYC and finding hidden gems like Club A. Highly recommend!
Came here for a celebratory dinner with my parents and my husband. The food, the service and the atmosphere was just perfect. Genuinely have no complaints. A fabulous evening from beginning to end. The steak was juicy and delicious, great cocktails, kind and attentive staff, live jazz music. And because we were celebrating an occasion, they went out of their way to bring us a complimentary tasting of 3 desserts (all delicious) and in addition, they took a big picture of us to commemorate and printing it for us with a card and the owner of the restaurant, Bruno, going out of his way himself to come congratulate us and sign the card for us. We didn’t ask for any of this. Just such wonderful attention. Made the whole night so meaningful and special. My husband and I can’t wait to come back here for date nights and with friends.

The service was top-notch, with the most attentive waitstaff I’ve ever had in NYC who made us feel special all night. The owner, Bruno, stopped by to check in and congratulate us which was so sweet. WOW! Where do I begin? I made a reservation for my best friend's birthday last night. From the minute we stepped into the restaurant the staff was beyond attentive and just so kind. Our amazing host Nick became our new best friend. He was amazing! We ordered a nice bottle of wine. Nick suggested a French martini and it was delicious! Let's get down to the food....Thick cut bacon w/Club A Steak Sauce? I have no words! It was juicy, tender and you taste the hint of smoked applewood. I've been to other steakhouses and let me tell you Club A Steakhouse is unmatched. It's a must! The Bone-In-Ribeye I ordered medium well and it was cooked to perfection. I wanted to pair it with a steak sauce and Nick brings me all 4 steak sauces. The owner came to our table to greet us and we just loved him. They took our picture and he signed a card for us. We had such an amazing night and everything was superb. I'll definitely be back.
This place was EVERYTHING! If you’re hesitating, please don’t. The service is superb, the ambiance is amazing. Me and my husband went for our anniversary, and it was incredible. The food is delicious. Even the ketchup tastes amazing! Tons of food and a bottle of delicious wine. There was also live jazz music that added an exquisite touch to the experience. We came here for dinner while visiting New York during New Year's. It had an amazing vibe - especially downstairs with the private party and the singer and the little three-person band they had. The steak was not really cooked great; while it was red and medium, there really wasn't any flavor and absolutely zero juices. Our server was gruff and really didn't seem to give a crap about my girl and I - maybe it's the New York attitude? He would have done us really well if he upsold some of the sauces because the steak was bone dry. The steak sauce they provide was almost like a ketchup; I may be picky, but it wasn't my top choice of a steak restaurant.
Staff are nice but it seemed they struggle to keep up with service when busy. Getting seated took an extra 15 minutes despite having a reservation and it seemed like they just forgot we were there. Water was never refilled. Cocktail didn't come the way it was ordered because the bar tender was too busy apparently. The food was hit and miss. The crab cakes and dessert were good while the ribeye was a little overcooked and bitter. My partner's lamb chop was way over done considering it was ordered medium. It wasn't the worst experience but a shame considering the reviews. It seems like this would be a great place to go on a weekday when they can focus on each table better. We did receive free dessert without asking because they probably knew things were slipping, but it's still a shame.
