They prepare everything with skill! Staff members demonstrated genuine warmth. Each menu item was flavor-forward. We got large amounts of food and everything tasted good. The food was excellent, employees were helpful, and our visit was satisfying.

So good! I much prefer baked empanadas to fried ones, and these deliver. The beef is tender and flavorful, the smoked chicken is rich and slightly sweet, and get the fugazetta if you really like cheese. The chimichurri sauce goes well with everything. We liked everything so much that we took some frozen ones home! And the service was so kind and attentive.

Tried Criollas for the first time and it was absolutely amazing!! Super kind staff, outstanding empanadas and everyone should check this place out! Highly recommend the beef, spinach or cheese and I promise you will not be disappointed.

First off I would start by saying the food is amazing. We’re out of town from Cali and I have never had a empanada like this ever in my life. Definitely top-tier. You have to stop here if you come to the underground market in New York.

I have tried so many empanadas since traveling throughout Argentina and experiencing my first. None until now have compared to that memory. These were amazing. I had 2 for lunch and then took a half dozen home. Can't wait until I'm up near Columbus circle again to get some more.

Great service and excellent food! The empanadas have a LOT of filling so I definitely appreciate that! Would definitely come back if around in the area and looking to eat empanadas! My favorite one was the ham and cheese because of the cheesiness of it

These empanadas are THICK. Such generous portions inside. The beef and the pork one were delicious. Staff is super friendly too. This place is located in the Underground Turnstyle Market that's connected to the subway station.

I love empanadas but unfortunately I can’t get them often because the options are limited in my home town. I was in NYC for work and was looking for a lunch place in advance for a “lunch on your own” slot on the itinerary. I came across Criollas and was excited to try them because of the reviews. Not being from NYC I knew I would have a bit of leg work to find them. Luckily, I was with a native New Yorker leading the trip, so she was able to assist me. They are in “Turnstyle” which is an indoor shopping mall of sorts. I probably wouldn’t have found it, even with googles assistance. The service was very friendly. I asked for a fork and knife but they were out of knives. The worker apologized genuinely and vigorously. The empanadas were absolutely delicious. They had well developed flavor. The ham and cheese was my favorite, followed by smoked chicken, and the corn was my least favorite (but still yummy). However, everyone’s palate is different so that is just my personal preference.

Great authentic Argentinian empanadas. This location is underground next to the subway entrance at the turnstile market. Perfect to buy and bring to Central Park on a nice day. I had the beef, spinach and ham & cheese. Little pricey but worth it when craving one. Can’t wait to try their medialunas and cheese breads

We almost didn't find it because we didn't know it was downstairs, but it was worth the extra research to find. We had the beef, smoked chicken, caprese, and ham & cheese. They were DELICIOUS. The pastry was flaky and flavorful. The dipping sauce went with everything. The ingredients were fresh and well seasoned. The staff was very friendly. We were only on this side of town for the afternoon or we would have been back for more!

Came for the reviews and it didn’t disappoint me. Clean place, lots of flavour and chimichurri sauce is also delicious. I found the empanadas a bit small for the price but I will certainly come back my next time in New York. I really liked they have vegetarian options.

I've got a promotion, 2 empanadas and a drink for about 15 USD. The service was fast and friendly; the spinach empanada was delicious , but I have the impression the meat one was greasy and lacked flavor. If they improved that recipe, it would be a 6/5

I stumbled upon this places randomly as I tried to catch the 1 train at Columbus Circle. Delicious Empanadas! I got the beef, the chicken and the spinach. Wasn't really a fan of the spinach but the others were Delicious! Best eaten while warm. The guy at the counter was super friendly and great.

I placed an order for around $ 250 what it is already pricey for empanadas. They give you the option to choose the delivery time and it was set for today at 11 am My order never arrived at 11 am today and they say that they are still finding a driver at 12:33 pm same day ChowNow is the company that they use to deliver Will never shop here again I requested a full refund
