Sanguk “Namkoo” Ahn

This is a chain you’ll find all over New York — and actually all across the country. So honestly, I went in with a bit of doubt, since places like that usually don’t taste all that great. The interior was simple, the menu was super straightforward, so I didn’t have to think much — just ordered casually. But wow, it was delicious! The crispy chicken tenders with spicy seasoning, dipped in honey and sauce, were so flavorful. That combo hits hard. And the little slice of white bread they serve with it? You use it almost like a handle — and it somehow pulls the whole bite together. For the price, the satisfaction level is honestly hard to beat. Definitely worth trying at least once!

A must-visit for spicy fried chicken lovers! The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with bold flavors that don’t need any extra seasoning. You can choose your preferred spice level, and the house sauce is rich and perfectly balanced. The crinkle-cut fries are crispy and satisfying. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the place is impressively clean. Definitely worth a try if you’re into spicy fried chicken!

Place is small, not too many tables, conveniently benches next door. Service is friendly and fast. Chicken was delicious, very season fries which were 🤤 My son tried the medium level tenders that looked evil because of the color but it was surprisingly not that hot. Would definitely tried again, but I would do the loaded fries which I didn’t notice till too late. Probably step it up on the spice level, their sauce is also good.

Honestly the hype is real. I got the Dave’s #2, which has 2 sliders and fries. The fries was crispy, had a little seasoning that made it taste good. The sliders were amazing. I got the chicken HOT, which to me was the perfect amount of kick that I like, and the chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly. Everything about the meal was delicious. The Mac n cheese is very basic and nothing wow about it. The customer service was amazing as well. They gave us free Dave’s sauce and endless honey. 8.9/10

A little shop, but the food is VERY good! The kale slaw is perfectly seasoned. The cheese fries come in a large portion and was served hot with crispy fries and lots of cheese. Perfect snack!

Unethical and fraud store. I clearly showed the PlayOut Toys picture to the staff member while placing the order and ordered only because the toys were available. My payment was taken, and after that I was told the toys were not in stock. They then refused to refund my money. The staff behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. The whole experience was so upsetting that I lost my appetite and ended up giving the food away.

Very bad experience. First, there was a long delay in taking our order. Second, there were cockroaches in the restaurant, as shown in the attached video. Third, the food was extremely poor. The chicken tasted disgusting and its color was very dark and unappetizing. I do not recommend this place at all.

we pulled up to the spot, its insanely hot in there. like we were sweating. mind you, we wait for what must have been at least 25 minutes for the guy to take our order. and there were only 2 ppl in front of us. there were noooo seats. also, no milkshakes, AND they r out of lids. the trash was heaped onto the bin and overflowing. it was super nasty. then we go to order, and the cashier, who btw, was the only worker in the whole store, laughed at us. he was kind of amusing, hence the one star, but it was such bad service it made our mood worse. to top it all off, the chicken was BURNT. you couldnt even taste the spice. the chicken somehow managed to be both over and undercooked in seperate meals. we get back, and the food wasnt even worth the wait. terrible service, worse chicken, deeply unsatisfied. the fries were good tho.

I placed an online order for scheduled pick up of 20 mini sliders the night before. When I arrived, they put my order on the counter 2-3 minutes later than the scheduled time. No big deal. I (and 2-3 other customers) then had to stand and wait for around 10 minutes while the two cashiers/employees working the front fiddled with something I can only hope was very important on one of their phones. One of them finally seems to realize she has a job to do and checks my order before handing it to me. I mentioned before that I ordered 20 mini sliders - what I received was 4 PIECES OF UNTOASTED WHITE BREAD CARPETING THE BOTTOM WITH PICKLES SCATTERED ON TOP, PICKLES AND SAUCE IN SEPARATE CONTAINERS. Mind you, the worker who gave it to me looked in the bag and looked at my receipt before handing this garbage to me. She was more than okay to see this out the door. Thankfully, I notice only a few steps out and go back in to ask them, more kindly than they deserved, to remake the order. They remake the order, which takes another 15-20 minutes. I am 30 minutes late for the event the sliders were for by the time I leave. What eliminated any remaining goodwill I had towards this location and franchise as a whole was when I arrived to my event, where unfortunately only then did I notice THEY HAD ONLY GIVEN ME 16 SLIDERS INSTEAD OF THE 20 I ORDERED. Also, despite ordering medium spicy on half, either all of the sliders were mild or their spice blend is just thoroughly bland and unnoticeable. Do not waste your time with this disrespectful restaurant. I highly recommend the Popeyes around the corner or the Raising Canes in the same neighborhood for a much better alternative that actually gives you what you order on time, low as that bar may be.
