Had dinner here. My server, Brook provided amazing service finesse and care throughout my whole experience. As it was my first time eating here, I was unsure of what I should pick and which food pairings were best. Brook assisted me on this regard spectacularly. All her recommendations were great! Overall an excellent experience and I would like to give my compliments to both the Chefs that made all the delicious dishes and the Service staff for their hospitality and care. I will definitely come back here to eat again in the future.
Such a beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere. The food was incredible—honestly the best, everything was so flavorful. I have to mention one minor problem: the server cutting the steak seemed inexperienced and three pieces fell off during the process. It was a bit disappointing for such a high-end spot, but the delicious food made up for it!
Amazing wine and cocktail selection! Food was phenomenal and our server, Simon, was so accommodating and personable! We ordered cocktails (Black Pearl and King’s Tonic) to start and had wine (a lovely Chianti) with our steaks. The sommelier was fantastic; he came over to chat about wine personally and his wine service was impeccable. East coast oysters, filet mignon and ribeye steaks, potato puree, wild mushrooms and prawn sides were all delightful. We went on a post-valentines date and despite being sat next to another couple our dinner felt very intimate and private. Their service team is attentive and made wonderful recommendations. Price points are high, but felt appropriate. I recommend dining here willing to spend for quality and large portions.
Stopped in for lunch and split a baby gem salad with prawns as well as a prime filet both cooked to perfection. The house started us off with an amazing homemade pretzel. And to our surprise, we were greeted by Wolfgang Puck himself during our meal. They also finished us off with homemade cookies and espresso. Needless to say, this was probably the best lunch I've ever had.
Everything was perfect. Extraordinary. We were greeted by two members of the management team - one took our coats and the other seated us. Davey was quick to our table to welcome us and begin our experience with water choices. He wished us a Happy Anniversary and wanted to celebrate with a Sparkling, but as we don’t drink, we ordered a lovely mocktail and he put that information in his back pocket for later. Sal brought out bread and Davey began our journey with appetizer recommendations and we ordered the half dozen oysters and the Crab Cake. Both were incredible. After a bit, as Davey was taking our entrees, Sal brought out the new Pasta Bolognese, as a gift from the Chef for our Anniversary. Remarkable. We again followed Davey’s expertise and my husband ordered the Ribeye and I, the Australian Filet, which was worth every penny of the $130. Seriously. We accompanied them with the mushrooms and the Kung Pao Cauliflower. The only thing that outdid the presentation of the Chocolate Soufflé was the taste. It was my first ever and for the love of all things holy! Also, Davey and Sal included a beautiful Chocolate Cake with Happy Anniversary written on the plate. It was clear that Sal will learn much from Davey. And, Davey is a gift to CUT. He made our experience more than memorable. My husband said, “I believe that not only was this the best meal we have ever had, but the best experience.”
*Halal-friendly* I didn’t want to review this establishment until I visited on several occasions. Blown away by the service, food quality, and decor. The staff is exceptionally hospitable and precise with their service, always paying close attention to your needs. The 40oz tomahawk steak, spaghetti lobster, mac & cheese, and fries were out of this world. All made with premium ingredients. The mocktails were flavorful and balanced. The owner checks on everyone as they near the end of their visit. The bill is on the higher end, but the food and experience makes up for it. After my second visit, I can confirm this is one of my favorite steakhouses. Recommend for special occasions.
I really enjoyed the Filet that I ordered, it was tender, delicious and very memorable. The pumpkin soup and the Brussel sprouts were just okay. The bread however was really good to dip into the juice from the steak. I sat at the bar, the crowd was some what of an interesting mix of tourists and locals. In regard to people watching on a scale from one to ten the crowd fell a little flat for me. Sitting at the bar dining in NY is one of my favorite things to do but this felt underwhelming. After the Jazz artists left the music was SO loud, it felt like the speaker was about to pop with early “2000’s” rock music. I was surprised by their music selection or lack there of and expected a different ambience. Needless to say it was a good experience just thought it would have been more of memorable experience sitting at the bar.
Update... Had a breakfast meeting at Cut today. The food and service were fantastic as usual. This still is one of my go to stops downtown for a nice overall experience... We dinner at Cut for a special occasion, then again for a drink at the bar on another visit to the area. The food, service, and atmosphere here were all fantastic both times. This restaurant is located within the Four Seasons hotel downtown, making it a nice go-to spot if you're staying at that property.
Came for our anniversary dinner. There were many halal steak options which is why we chose to come here and we were really happy we did. Food was wonderful and delicious, staff were attentive and gave good advice in ordering our meal. We ordered the Tomahawk steak and we really wanted the mushrooms but they had alcohol so we mentioned this to our server and she brought us halal friendly sides. We were really happy with such attention to detail. After our meal we were really full and had no space for dessert so they gave us a delicious chocolate cake. Definitely give it a try!
The ambiance is sleek and modern, and the service is absolutely exceptional, attentive without being overbearing. We ordered the tomahawk steak and it was out of this world, perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of rich, smoky flavor. Definitely one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Every detail, from the cocktails to the sides, was on point. If you’re looking for a luxurious night out with unforgettable food, this is the place. Highly recommend!
Dining at CUT was extraordinary. I was blown away by the level of service—truly one of the best service experience I've ever had in my life. The staff really made us feel like they cared about us as people, making the entire evening feel really special. Now, the food—wow. I will be dreaming about the large format tomahawk and ribeye for a long time. Cooked to absolute perfection, each bite melted like BUTTER!!! It’s was extremely tender, and bursting with flavor. I like my meat salty.. & it didn’t need any extra salt it was perfect. The quality of the meat and the expert preparation made it clear that this place is in a league of its own. One detail that stood out and made the experience even more meaningful: 95% of all the steaks are HALAL!!, with the exception of the A5 Wagyu and top sirloin. As someone who looks for halal options, this was a rare and deeply appreciated find. I love this place, I really really do. If anyone from the restaurant is reading this review, thank you for such a wonderful experience, & i truly mean that from the bottom of my heart ♥️
First and foremost, I want to thank the staff at CUT for making our dinner the best and most memorable dinning experience we’ve ever had. Beyond 5 star, not only was the food top notch, but the staff went above and way beyond my expectations! My wife is a huge Wolfgang Puck fan… HUGE! One of her dreams was to eat at one of his restaurants (hopefully while he was there so she could give him a hug. Lol). I booked a reservation as a surprise for my wife; it was for our 20th anniversary. I wanted it to be extra special this year, and thanks to the staff at CUT, it was. The first time I proposed, I was poor and couldn’t afford much. For years I promised her a proper engagement ring… it took longer than expected, but, this year was the year. I mentioned this when I made the reservation and that I planned on asking her to marry me… again. The staff took this info and ran with it! Lol When we arrived at the restaurant, they were expecting us… I mean, beyond the fact that we had a reservation. We were shown to our table, and not just any table, the best table in the house! The hostess, I’m not good with names, but I think it was Danielle, was great… all the staff were, in fact! They were very attentive and made sure we were completely satisfied with everything. Being a special occasion, I ordered the Japanese Wagyu. It was cooked to perfection; super tender and buttery! My wife had the Branzino, also wonderful! All of the food was fantastic! We didn’t realize how large the portions were and so order too much, but I’m glad we did. Everything we ate there was an absolute treat to the palate!! Our sincere compliments to the chefs in the kitchen! To drink, my wife had the “Peace On Earth” which she loved. I had the Glenmorangie 10 year, my favorite Scotch! Everything they gave us was of the topmost quality and cooked to perfection… then came dessert… This is where the truly beyond expectations came in. I ordered a chocolate souffle and discreetly got the new engagement ring ready. When the souffle came, it wasn’t alone! Another server came out with a second dessert that had written on the plate “Happy Anniversary”… and then the hostess came out with a THIRD dessert, a cheesecake, and on it’s plate was written “Will you marry me… again?”… that one even surprised me! It was SO perfect!! I then explained to my wife what this was all about and presented her with the ring… to say she was happy is the understatement of understatements! I proposed again, and she said “yes” again. Woohoo!! The staff, both in front and in the kitchen, definitely live up to the Wolfgang Puck name. We could not have been happier with the whole experience! … And, Mr. Wolfgang, sir, if you happen to read this, my wife loves you, almost as much as she loves me… lol. I hope next time you’re in NYC we can snag a reservation so she can meet you… her life won’t be complete until she gives you a hug. Lol
Had breakfast and dinner here while staying at the Four Seasons and we we’re not disappointed. The chicken and steak dishes were well prepared and the raw bar items were high quality. The only negative things we could find during dinner were that our server’s shift ended mid meal and the decanters that were showcased had not been cleaned and had fingerprints all over them; not a big deal but didn’t meet the standard they’re trying to set. Breakfast, however, was perfect. The eggs were top quality as was the fruit and the service was flawless. There’s plenty of options for restaurants in Manhattan but I would likely visit this location again.
Solid upscale steakhouse in FiDi—CUT by Wolfgang Puck delivers on premium cuts and polish. Food was strong: dry-aged bone-in ribeye was perfectly charred, juicy, and flavorful (highlight!), Korean steak tartare had nice spicy kick, and the truffle parm fries were indulgent. Sides like mashed potatoes complemented well, though some apps felt good-not-amazing for the price. Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional—great wine guidance. Atmosphere elegant and modern (warm lighting, sleek design, lively bar energy), though it gets noisy when full. Great for a special steak night downtown!
First steak restaurant in NYC I've been to in a very long time. I got the ribeye which was pretty good. A few friends and I each ordered the "flight of sauces" which was an additional $8 to be able to try all the sauces, but in retrospect it probably would have made sense to share the flight rather than to each get one since they came in sizable amounts that could be shared. The one complaint I had was that they wanted to place the order all at once so we weren't able to order apps to start while we continued deciding what we wanted for our mains. Otherwise, the food was good and the portions were decently sized.
I'm not impressed. They served me a $225 Japanese Waygu cut that was burned and cooked incorrectly. When I asked them to fix it, they swapped it with a filet, & I suppose they thought I wouldn't notice. The filet was fantastic, but not what I ordered, and I was still charged for the original cut, which was $125 more expensive. I am not one to complain, so I just ate it and left. I am a huge advocate of high-quality steak dinners, and this is up there with one of the worst experiences I have had. The servers seemed annoyed with me for saying something, which was also frustrating. To add to the annoyance, I ordered spinach and a few different sauces that sat on the table getting cold while I waited for them to cook the second cut. The blue cheese sauce was almost solidified by the time this took place, and the spinach was cool. I would imagine the sauces are wonderful if they were served warm with your meal. This is very unfortunate, as I had very high hopes. I have been to others and was never disappointed. On a positive note, the drinks and appetizers were great, the cappuccino was to die for, and the atmosphere was truly enchanting. I doubt my experience is the norm here. C+
