I love this place! It's great to hang here with your friends or to come grab a bite to eat. There's a lot of seats and if your a picky eater this is the place for you. There's so many choices like from a salad bar where you get a container and fill it with your desired fruits and some yogurt to a sushi bar. There's also a stand for you to make your own coffee or tea inside. This place is amazing and it took me like 10 minutes b4 I decided on what to get. The only bad thing was that Apple pay isn't accepted here, so be sure to bring cash or your debit card.

I love this place ❤️ There's a lot of choices for your hearty breakfast, or lunch, and or dinner!😍😘 A buffet hot food, a cold cuts, smoothie bar, salad bar, pastries, and soups area, and varieties of coffee and milk and creams in their coffee bar__but, I always go for half & half for my dark roast coffee, and a lot more👍(see pics) 😘 They have mezzanine seating area inside and few 2-sitter tables outside, on the sidewalk--so,I guess, it is Essen & the sidewalk tables? ☺️ I gave them 5 stars because the place is neat and clean and you have so many choices what to eat for the day and they have a good seating area. When I dropped by earlier, I already had my lunch__so, I only bought coffee and Blueberry Scone and Cheese Croissant, for my sweet-tooth me as my "merrienda (snack) at work☺️. I am on my way home and decided to drop by to take a pics as my evidence for you all to see🥰 The kind manager let me take a pic, but he also told me to take picture at around 11am__because they're not much food anymore for they are about to close soon. But,I told him I just need pics of every area of food and the seatings ☺️ THE END🌹

Good for lunch and breakfast. I eat here fairly often when I'm in the area on business. There is enough traffic during those times on weekdays that the buffet food doesn't sit long. I like the selection and the availability of healthy options like vegetables, and the ability to control my portion size. Essen is also good for a late evening coffee in the event you need one after the nearby coffee shops have closed for the day.

I often go for lunch during the week - there is an unmatched variety of food to choose from that can satisfy any craving. Gets pretty crazy during the breakfast and lunch rushes, but moves fast enough to where you aren't waiting forever. A bit on the pricier side in my opinion, but 100% worth it. I have gotten some of my best and fastest meals from here.

A good place to go for lunch, either sit-down upstairs or takeaway (slightly high prices not their fault). Hot food bar has a good selection (their grilled salmon is very good). Good hot sandwiches and burgers; haven't tried their other food counters yet. Good selection for minor grocery shopping. Good food counter and register staff.

I have the salad bar and I thought it was just decent. Everything seem to be a little bit oily but it is fresh. It is also quite pricey but I don’t think you’ll find anything cheaper this area. Not a bad place to stop for some healthy food. The place is very clean

Come here almost everyday for their lunch buffet. Price is steep but food quality is so good and I never complain. Today I just grabbed a bottle of green tea on top of my lunch. Realized I just paid $6 for it. No receipt was provided for itemized bill either. Yesterday I bought the same drink for $2.5. *Please put the price tag as NYC law as required. NONE of the drinks in the back of the buffet have price labeled and it is super overpriced.

This place is super expensive! I went to come buy a soda and a small mac and cheese and I had to pay over $12~! The staff is VERY rude and VERY judgmental. I am NEVER coming to this place again, there are so many other places that are better than this overpriced garbage room.

The “Hot Food” was actually Cold, & NOT Fresh. I felt like the chicken was alien meat instead. I got the ick so bad, plus the food is expensive and overpriced. No thank you. First & Last time coming here.

Beware of price gouging, beverage price list inside all of the fridges so they don’t showcase them lol an energy drink is $5.75 and a protein bar is $5 this place is a total rip off

Tried ordering a burger at 11.30 today and encountered the rudest member off staff!! Asked for cheeseburger and fries and was treated with a very attitudey what what what what .very sarcastic.. I asked again and he decides to puff out his chest and mimick me.. he thought he was god's gift!! I told him how rude he was and he just laughed and kept mimicking me... Very convenient no managers about to complain... I visit new York regular with work and I shall not be returning! Not the experience I expect..the pic shows the extremely rude employee.

DO NOT COME HERE. Stayed at the New Yorker hotel and went here two days in a row for breakfast w my group. Food is good but the ladies at the front put in custom amounts and add tips to your total without letting you see the screen. They take your card and won’t even let you tap it yourself. Prices were double what they were the day before for the same items. Zero consistency. Do not recommend. Illegal scamming.
