My bf made the reservation for me at Roscioli NYC was absolutely wonderful! Everything from the food to the service made it feel like a little piece of Rome in New York. I did not drink wine, but the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They explained each course with care and made sure I still had the best experience. Their warm attitude made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. 💛

Roscioli in SoHo is a fantastic Italian spot that brings a true Roman touch to New York. We stopped by without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table, which was a great surprise given how popular it is. To start, we had a simple but delicious selection of olives and bread. They served both focaccia and sourdough with an outstanding olive oil — the kind of quality that immediately sets the tone for the meal. For mains, we shared a classic carbonara that was absolutely exceptional — rich, creamy, and perfectly executed — easily one of the best in the city. We also tried the spicy tagliatelle, which was flavorful and satisfying. Overall, Roscioli is an excellent choice if you’re looking for authentic Italian in SoHo. The food is top-notch, the atmosphere feels lively yet refined, and it’s well worth a visit — just be sure to book ahead if you can. Highly recommended.

My husband treated me to this Roman-style wine tasting for my birthday, and it was such a special experience. Each wine was paired beautifully with classic dishes. My favorite dish was the short rib. The service was warm, never rushed, and made the evening feel celebratory and personal. Truly a memorable way to toast another year.

Whoever rates this place below 5 starts just doesn’t know about Italian cuisine. This place is amazing. My girlfriend and I came for dinner, she’s from Rome and wanted to try some home food. Even she was astonished on how good this place it. Traditional Roman recipes, best ingredients – simple and genius. We will be coming back once a week, easily. Ah, and don’t miss the tiramisu - trust me

An unforgettable dinner at Roscioli NYC! Our servers Alex and Hugo were outstanding—knowledgeable, warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. We started with the Cantabrian sea anchovies, which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious, followed by the Ibérico Puro de Bellota—rich, silky, and absolutely decadent. The pastas were spot on: the cacio e pepe was perfectly creamy and balanced, while the carbonara was authentic and deeply flavorful. Paired everything with excellent wine recommendations that brought out the best in each dish. Truly a dining experience that feels both special and effortless. Can’t wait to return!

Authentic Roman dining experience. All of the food was delicious and piping hot. The carbonara was exquisite as was the amatriciana. Great wine list and the fried artichoke starter was perfectly crisp. Also had the generous plate of mortadella. Can’t wait to go back.

I thought the food was good. It was well prepared with quality ingredients but at the same time it was very plain and there were no surprises or highlights. To desert was a letdown to chocolate mousse was very light in flavor and the almond cake a little too sugary. The staff was not very attentive. The downstairs room looked very cozy at first, but the music was very loud and the tables were too close to each other. They no longer offer the tasting menu, which was a bit of a disappointment, as I really wanted to have more variety.

They have a service called the Roman Feast which provides you with a four course meal (appetizers, mains and dessert). You can also add wine pairings to each dish. The concept is family style which is pretty unique for a prix fixe meal. They also add some additional dishes as a surprise which was fun! My favorite was the tiramisu which was so so good

Restaurant from Rome (they are on the @michelinguide over there) right here in NYC. The restaurant is really cute with the Italian pantry items (always lured me in). Our favorite ended up being the artichoke appetizer! Note that there are not many vegan or vegetarian options here!

Mixed experience. The carbonara was undercooked (one level below al dente) and the cacio e pepe was overly salty. Meatballs and suppli were okay - nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is pleasant, service is attentive and the dessert was good. Overall, the experience felt disappointing given the price and expectations.

Booked an experience for a birthday for Italian food lover. Sadly the food was a miss, taste was very mid. Service was fine. Atmosphere was fine. Would not go again.

We did the Roman Feast tasting menu. Our waitress Beatrice was lovely; she was very knowledgeable about the food, made excellent wine recommendations and was overall fantastic and attentive! Every meal was delicious, my favorites were the tomato focaccia, the braised short ribs was so soft and delicious it basically melted in your mouth. The blood orange sorbet was incredible. Would love to go every week just for the deserts. Highly recommended
